Chapter 6 - Parker's Mark

"Hermione, you want us to come to London?" Ron groaned.

"Yes, I want you all to come to London." Hermione replied.

"I'd have to see when I'm free." Parker sighed.

"I just have to get past Aunt Petunia." Harry nodded.

"Erica will probably want to come, if she wakes up." Ron looked back at his sister who had fallen asleep on the phone.

"We can go shopping.. Oh! There's this really good food market." Hermione began listing off things.

"Huh? What are we talking about?" Erica yawned.

"Hermione wants to take us to London." Ron rolled his eyes.

"Oh, I like London." Erica nodded.

"How about..  Next week?" Parker suggested.

"That's a great idea." Harry agreed.

"Yes!" Erica answered cheerfully.

"Alright. Great. We'll call tomorrow?" Hermione smiled.

"Tomorrow, got it." Ron sighed.

"Night guys." Parker waved before she hung up, going back to her book.

*Downstairs*

"Bella, she's only a child. Draco already got it." Narcissa shook her head.

"I agree with Narcissa here, she's young and doesn't even agree with us." Rodolfus spoke for his chair.

"She needs to follow the family line." Lucius shrugged, "It's what's best to keep her in line."

"What line? She left the line before you could even put her on it." Rodolfus rolled his eyes.

"She's a Black." Bellatrix shook her head, "Everyone at this table has it. It wouldn't be fair."

"Can't we just do it while she's sleeping? Sedate her?" Rockwood suggested.

"The Dark Lord requires her to be awake." Fenrir looked up the stairs.

"Should've been listening, Augustus." Rodolfus shook his head.

Fenrir sniffed, "She's awake. Now would be the best time."

"I'm not doing it, you'll have to kick my a*s before I let you to touch her." Rodolfus stood up.

"Rodolphus." Bellatrix cursed at him, grabbing his hand, "It's what needs to be done."

"No, it doesn't. She has the right to choose." Rodolfus snatched his hand back.

Lucius looked over at him, "Leave my Manor. You're not going to mess up our plans."

"Fine then, I'll find a nice man who'll treat me right unlike my wife." Rodolfus turned to leave,"Oh, Narcissa. Do what's right."

Narcissa looked at him, sighing and looked down at her lap.

"Have a nice evening~" Rodolfus smirked and walked out.

"Someone call him." Bella looked around, "Cissy, be a good little sister and get my daughter."

Narcissa was frozen for a moment before she processed the information and stood up,"Y-yes."

"You're doing the right thing, my love." Lucius looked up at Narcissa.

Narcissa nodded before walking up the spiral staircase. Was she really doing the right thing? She didn't think it was anymore but... It was too late. She was already knocking on Parker's door.

Parker looked up from the book she was reading, hesitating before she spoke, "Who is it?"

"It's just me, dear." Narcissa assured her.

Parker got up and unlocked her door, letting her Aunt in, "Is everything alright?"

"You're needed downstairs, in the main hall. It's important." Narcissa told her.

"For what? I.. I was just about to head to bed." Parker shookher bead.

"It's a meeting that you're required to attend." Narcissa informed her, it wasn't really lying as they were having a meeting.

"Is Draco there?" Whenever Parker was at a meeting, so was Draco. It always included the both of them.

Parker nodded slowly, "I'll be down shortly. Love you."

She kissed her cheek and walked over to her closer.

"Love you too, dear." Narcissa smiled, was she really about to let this happen?

After a minute, Parker put her cardigan on and walked out of her room.

"I'm here." She walked up to Narcissa who was outside the main hall, the doors closed.

"That's good." Narcissa nodded; almost absent-mindedly as she pushed open the doors.

Parker crossed her arms and walked into the room, looking around. All the eyes were seemingly on her. Was something wrong?

"..Did I do something?" Parker cleared her throat.

"No, no. It's not that. Just sit down." Lucius assured her.

Parker was hesitant at first, she always hated these meetings. She nodded slowly and walked up to her chair, sitting down. That's when she looked over at the chair where her father, Rodolfus, usually sat. It was nearest the shadowy corners where he liked to sit.

"Where's my father?" Parker looked around.

"He left." Bellatrix shrugged,"Walked out."

"What did you do? He wouldn't just leave for nothing." Parker sighed, turning to her mother who sat across from her.

"We had a disagreement and I told him to leave. Besides, he'd much rather be elsewhere." Lucius told her.

"Well, why am I needed down here?" Parker sat up straight.

"You'll see in a few minutes." Lucius smirked.

Why was he smirking? That was never good. Parker slowly glanced over to her aunt, who was the only one she truly trusted at this table. She looked unsure. Maybe she shouldn't have come. Oh, oh, oh, too late now! Voldemort, the Dark Lord himself, was stood at the head of the table. Everyone else bowed their heads, in respect to him. Meanwhile Parker just turned her head away, not giving him any recognition.

"Ah, Miss Lestrange. It appears you have been... Convinced." Voldemort spoke, his voice sounded like a seventy year old smoker's.

"Convinced?" Parker turned and finally looked at Voldemort, tilting her head slightly.

"To join us." Voldemort told her.

Parker quickly got her wand out of her boot and flew some spells at who began to chase her as she ran. Narcissa.. Did she know? Is that why she brought her down? Some Death Eaters rose from the table to grab Parker while Narcissa didn't move. Parker had successfully managed to block the spells flying at her and she  ran to the doors of the hall but before she could grab the handle, she was frozen.

"I got her, My Lord!" Bellatrix cheered.

"Mother?" Parker spoke, she could only move to a certain extent.

"I'm not sorry, dear. You need to do this, well, your father would disagree but he left." Bellatrix walked towards her.

Parker began to panic, she couldn't do this. She would be betraying her friends, her real family.

"Please, Mother.. I-I can be the little girl you always wanted m-me to be. I'll do anything just please.. Please not this." Parker sniffed as a tear fell down her cheek.

Narcissa covered her eyes, she couldn't bare to watch this. First her little boy and now the girl she raised as her daughter. They both struggled in a similar way and now both times, she was unable to watch.

"Mother.. Please." Parker whispered as she stood face to face with her.

Bellatrix ignored her daughter's desperate pleading and turned to face Voldemort,"She's all yours."

"Perfect." Voldemort smirked as he walked forward, Nagini staying behind, "You'll get a special reward later."

"This is the exciting bit." Rockwood chuckled, sitting back down.

Was this really happening? This was really going to happen. What was the Herd going to think? Could Parker tell them? All these thoughts were running through her head as she watched Voldemort take out his wand. Lucius practically held Rockwood onto his seat while shaking his head. He looked around and oh, not again. Scabior had fallen asleep. Oh well, guess he'll have to miss it.

"Rot in hell." Parker whispered to Voldemort himself before he grabbed her arm and began.

"Don't worry, I'm not planning on it." Voldemort answered as he continued his work.

Once it was finished, Parker could move again, she slowly fell to her knees in pain, holding her bloody arm to her chest while she silently cried. It was over. The others were talking but she couldn't hear them, or she chose not to. She didn't even realize that time had passed as Narcissa carefully wrapped up her arm. While Narcissa wrapped her arm up, Parker lifted her head slightly.

"..Y-You did this.. Why?" She whispered, her voice cracking.

"I never wanted to dear, what happened to you or Draco is something I wished wouldn't happen." Narcissa told her, not making eye contact.

"You could've stopped it." Parker lowered her head, she didn't have the energy.

"Even if I did, they'd try and do it no matter the cost. Your mother is insane and can't be reasoned with." Narcissa shook her head.

"I want things to go back to the way they were." Parker glanced at the table where the others were.

"I wish they could. You and your friends deserved more than this, you deserved to have a childhood." Narcissa spoke, her voice quieter than before.

Parker wiped her tears and took a deep breath, "Am..Am I needed down here anymore or can I be excused?"

"You can be excused. Even if you were needed, I won't let them be around you after this." Narcissa set her bandages down.

It took Parker a few seconds to get her strength to stand up, backing away into the shadows before she left then room; running straight up the stairs to Draco's room, knocking.

"What is it?" Draco called, he sounded rather uninterested.

"Can I come in?" Parker sniffed.

"Uh, sure." Draco nodded.

Parker slowly opened the door and walked in, closing it behind her, "Draco.."

"Parker?" Draco raised a brow at her, she didn't usually look this upset.

When Draco did look at her, he had seen a bandage on her left arm, exactly where his was. That's when he froze. Did they hurt her too? Well, they must've because she's been bandaged.

"Draco, I don't know what to do." Parker shook her head, holding back her tears.

The pain in her arm was excruciating.

"Just... Just sit here." Draco patted the floor beside him.

Parker let out a shaky breath and sat down beside Draco, laying her head on his shoulder. Draco wrapped an arm around her shoulder and a few tears fell from his eyes. They were children! Why was this happening to them? Parker knew this was their life now, this.. this mark would always be there until Voldemort is defeated. It made her more determined. She hated seeing Draco upset so she looked up at him, trying to think of a funny memory.

"Do you remember when we were young? I wanted your hair to be like mine so I got this.. Dye. I put it in your hair while you slept and the next day your hair was green?" She laughed softly.

"I do." Draco chuckled,"I wanted yours to be like mine first so I bleached yours."

"It was payback. Besides, I still have that one strand, it never went away." Parker grabbed a piece of her hair and showed the white strand.

"It just shows how professional I am with hair." Draco shrugged.

"I guess you could say I'll always have a piece of you with me." Parker hummed.

"That sounds like something Weasley would say." Draco gave her a look.

"What? She's my best friend. I'm going to say something of hers at one point." Parker shrugged.

"You two have really rubbed off on each other. I can tell because she's much more sassy than before which I'm pretty sure was caused by your influence." Draco told her, leaning against his dresser.

"We've taught each other many things." Parker nodded.

"The art of being a pain in my a*s?" Draco smirked.

"Oh yes, I've taught her all my secrets. Be afraid, cousin." Parker winked.

"How can I be scared of Weasley? What's she gonna do?" Draco asked.

"How's your nose?" Parker hummed, gesturing to his near broken nose he had gotten last year.

"She didn't hit me that hard." Draco turned to her,"I could do way worse, I just choose not to."

"Mhm, I'm sure." Parker rubbed her eyes.

"I could. She's says I'm all bark but I'm not." Draco shook his head.

"You're like a chihuahua, mostly all bark, only a little bite." Parker hummed.

"I can bite." Draco crossed his arms,"She learned that the hard way."

Parker chuckled and shook her head, "..Is it okay if I stay with you tonight?"

"Of course, especially after that..." Draco nodded.

"Yeah, yeah. I just don't want to be alone." Parker nodded.

"And you won't be." Draco assured her.

Parker sighed and looked at him, "Thank you, Draco."

"Don't mention it." Draco sighed with a smile on his face.
