Chapter 35 - Father's Day!
"Erica, stop panicking about a card. Parker sighed as the two shopped in Hogsmead.
"But they're all ugly and want it to be nice." Erica crossed her arms.
"He'll find it nice either way." Parker assured him.
"But-"
"This one's nice." Parker held up one.
"Maybe." Erica nodded slowly.
"Or this one?" Parker held another one up.
"I like that one." She finally agreed.
"Deals a deal." Parker put it in their basket while she looked.
She wanted to do something special for Arthur. The Weasleys always accepted Parker so she wanted to get him something nice.
"Parker, I just thought of something incredible."
"What?" Parker hummed.
"We should get him a massive rubber duck." Erica told her.
"Oh my god! Yes."
"My brilliant mind at work, you're welcome." Erica smiled.
"Thank you very much." Parker bowed.
"It is no problem. Now, where are the ducks?" Erica looked around.
"Do they... Do they sell them here?" Parker looked at Erica.
"They better." Erica began scanning shelves.
"Excuse me, sir?" Parker tapped a man's shoulder.
"Hm?" The tired looking man turned around.
"Do you have rubber ducks in this store?"
"Probably in the bathroom stuff." The man pointed, "I don't even work here."
"Oh- You don't? Shit, sorry." Parker walked away from him.
Erica laughed as she followed her friend.
"Shut up."
"Heh, of course you'd be the person to do that." Erica chuckled, nudging her friend.
"He looked like a worker!"
"He just looks sleep-deprived."
"We look sleep-deprived." Parker walked to the bathroom section.
"That's because we are." Erica stumbled over her feet.
"Careful." Parker held her up.
"I'm always careful." Erica dusted herself off.
"Yeah, right." Parker sighed,"Oh! Ducks."
"Where?" Erica looked around.
Parker lifted a few up.
"I think we might have to just get a small one and make it bigger." Erica nodded.
"Magic works great in this situation." Parker nodded and put it in their basket.
"That us done?" Erica raised a brow.
Parker looked at the basket and nodded.

"Happy father's Day, dad!" Erica hugged him.
"Oh Erica." Arthur laughed and hugged his daughter.
"Come on, we've got you a present!"
"We? Who else?"
"All of us." Erica told him
"Right, right. Show me then." Arthur nodded.
"Already doing that." Erica lead him downstairs.
"Hurry up dad!" Ron groaned.
"Oh, I'm hurrying." Arthur chuckled.
"Happy father's day dad." Ron hugged him.
"I'm getting all the hugs today." Arthur smiled.
"Because you deserve them." Erica pointed.
"Kinda the only dad we have." Ginny hummed.
"Which is why he's the best." Fred spoke up
"The very best." George nodded.
"None better." Fred continued.
"Couldn't ask for any." George added.
"Boys." Molly nudged them.
"What? We're making him feel appreciated." Fred crossed his arms.
"Mother's day was ages ago, you'll get you'll time again." George sat down.
"Okay, I'd like my presents." Arthur spoke.
"Well, the first one is hidden in the broom cupboard." Erica told him.
"The broom- You guys got me a broom?!" Arthur laughed and ran to the broom cupboard and opened it.
That's when Bill and Charlie fell out onto the floor.
"I can breathe!" Charlie yelled.
"Oh, hello boys." Arthur waved as he looked for a broom before he turned to his oldest sons and laughed,"My boys!"
"Happy Father's Day, dad." Bill got to his feet and hugged him.
"Happy father's day indeed." Arthur smiled.
"Remind me to shove Erica in the broom closet after this." Charlie shook his head.
"I think it was a great surprise, Charlie." Bill pointed.
"Was my spine worth it? I could've just knocked on the door."
"No, no. It was funny." Bill shrugged.
"For you, William." Charlie nudged him.
"Ay. Watch yourself." Bill warned.
"Why should do that?" Charlie raised a brow.
"Mum." Bill pointed.
"That... That is a very good point." Charlie nodded.
Bill smirked and handed his dad a card.
"I drew the picture because Bill has shaky hands." Charlie told him.
"It was a joint card." Bill agreed.
"All that matters is you're both here." Arthur smiled.
"And we appreciate you." Charlie told him.
"There's some more people coming around later." Ron told him.
"Is there really?" Arthur asked.
"Mhm." Ron nodded.
"You're not just a dad to us." Erica hinted.
"I can certainly tell you I've never had any other children other than you all." Arthur shook his head.
"Isn't that reassuring, mum?" Fred asked
"Well he better not have." Molly pointed the wooden spoon in her hand at him.
"I promise, dear." Arthur ruased his hands.
"To be fair there's not a lot of other gingers in Hogwarts." Fred shrugged.
"But I'd hate being related to them, you know, the few." George sighed.
"Right, everyone. I'm starting breakfast, get out of the kitchen." Molly hummed.
"Yeah, get out o the kitchen, Ron." George called to his younger brother as he left.
Fred laughed and pointed at George, understanding his joke.
"Very funny." Ron sighed
"It was." Fred nodded.
"We're always funny." George smirked.
"You can't beat us." Fred added.
"I could." Erica crossed her arms.
"You can join us." Fred pointed.
"And how would this benefit me?"
"You... Get to hang out with your favourite twin brothers." George patted her back.
"Now dad, what would gain from beating them?"
"Nothing. It's fathers day, do it another day." Arthur hummed.
"You make a good point, your lives shall be spared for today." Erica shrugged.
"Go on." Fred laughed and ran off.
Erica sighed, "Let's get going."
"Going?" Bill asked.
"To hide from mum before she kills us with that spoon." She pointed.
"Out!" Molly raised the spoon.
"I'm gone." Charlie called from another room.
"Go, go." Bill pushed Erica out.
"You're coming with me." She grabbed his collar.
"Me?" Bill blinked.
"You."
"Alright." Bill nodded as they walked out.
"Well Dad, what's your plans?" Ron asked.
"I'm going to spend this day with people love." Arthur replied.
"Good thing we've got all day." Charlie chuckled.
That's when everyone heard a knock on the door.
Erica checked her imaginary watch,"About time."
"About time?" Arthur raised a brow.
Erica headed towards the door and pulled it open.
"Erica!" Parker hummed and hugged her.
"Parker!" Erica hugged back.
"And Harry too, yeah." Harry laughed and walked to Ron.
"Where? I don't see him?" Erica looked around.
"I'm liked more." Parker smirked.
"Hey, I never said that." Erica shook her head.
"Well I should be liked more."
"Well, why's that?"
"I'm the best friend." Parker spoke in a 'duh' tone.
"Alright, alright, that's enough you two." Arthur chuckled.
"Happy fathers day, Arthur." Parker smiled.
"Aw, thank you Parker." Arthur smiled back.
"Welcome." Parker hummed.
"I think we should show him our present." Erica told her.
"Oh! Yes. I have it here." Parker got the present out her satchel.
A rubber duck.
"Arthur." Parker called for him.
"Yes, dear?" Arthur turned
"Erica and I got you this." Parker handed the duck to Erica.
"Oh, a rubber duck. Thank you very much." Arthur smiled.
"We thought you'd enjoy it."
"I do." He nodded, holding it in his hand.
"And it came with a function manual."
Arthur gasped,"Does it really?"
"Oh yes." Parker handed him the manual.
Arthur's eyes seemed to sparkle with amazement,"Facinating."
Once the three had talked, Erica had walked to the side... Although Parker grabbed another thing out her bag, "I also have this for you."
"Hm?" Arthur raised a brow.
Parker then handed him an envelope, marked 'Arthur' on it.
"Parker, you didn't have to." He smiled, opening it.
"Well... I don't exactly get along with my dad but you all have been nothing but caring since I met you all. So this is for you." Parker hummed.
A fathers day card.
"Parker, I'm going to cry." Arthur covered his face.
"What? Do you not like it? Because Mr Weasley if not-" Parker rambled.
Arthur immediately hugged her.
"Oh- Okay." Parker nodded slowly and hugged back.
"Parker, you're like a daughter to me." Arthur told her,"Never forget that, okay?"
"I won't."
