Chapter 1 - I want a boyfriend

Erica and Parker were walking around until they reached the entrance of a shopping centre.

"Boom, we've arrived." Erica turned to her friend.

"And.. What is this place met to be?" Parker raised a brow, looking at Erica.

"I'm not sure, Astoria recommend it to me." Erica told her.

"I wish she could've came with us." Parker sighed and looked in, "Come on."

She took her hand and pulled her in, jumping back at the spinning doors.

Erica gasped at the doors,"Woah, magic doors!"

"This muggle world is getting used to our ways." Parker smiled and walked in.

Erica giggled at the doors before following close behind Parker.

"So, what store first?" Parker looked around.

"I'm not sure, Astoria said that the clothes were nice here." Erica shrugged

"Then let's go into this Primark. What a strange name.." Parker muttered and walked in.

"Maybe it has prime clothing." Erica guessed before smirking.

"Prime clothing?" Parker turned to her.

But Erica was nowhere to be found.

"Erica?" Parker spun in a circle, "Er, this isn't funny."

She rubbed her arm and began wandering around to find Erica. After looking around she eventually did find her. She was holding her neck with a familiar face apologizing beside her who she quickly nudged.

"Ow, Erica!" Neville squeaked.

"You choked me first." Erica adjusted her scarf.

"I didn't mean it." He sighed.

"Neville. Hi." Parker walked up to her, "I didn't expect to see you here."

"Oh, Parker. Are you here with Erica?" Neville asked her.

"Yeah, she ran off." Parker glared at Erica, "How have you been?"

"It's been alright." Neville told her.

"Oh, is that a wedding ring?" Erica tilted her head as she noticed Neville's finger.

Neville chuckled softly and his hand in his sweater.

"Neville!" Parker gasped, quickly taking his hand and smiling, "Congrats."

"You need to tell me these things." Erica crossed her arms.

"It only happened a few days ago." Neville shook his head.

"Who's the girl?" Parker raised a brow.

"Her name's Hannah, she used to be Hannah Abott." Neville informed her.

"Oh, that girl that used to share a room with me!" Erica remembered.

"You shared a room with her?" Neville raised a brow

"Yeah, she was a Hufflepuff in our year." Erica explained.

Parker raised a brow, "Oh I remember her now."

"She was really something." Erica nodded.

"Yeah.. I didn't like her, sorry Nev." Parker sighed, "I'm sure.. She's changed."

"She has, she's been great." Neville smiled.

"That's great. We're happy for you." Parker smiled.

"I'd better get going." Neville told them as he looked at his watch,"Enjoy the rest of your day."

"You too Neville." Parker waved before she took Erica's hand and walked with her.

"I can't physically describe how much I despise Hannah." Erica blurted out once Neville was out of earshot.

"I mean, I get they both liked Herbology. But Abbot? Really?" Parker scoffed.

"She teamed up with Max in fourth and fifth year." Erica shook her head, scratching her hand beneath its glove

"I know." Parker sighed, "I'm sorry."

"I mean, I never told him so it makes sense why he still trusts her." Erica sighed.

"..Random question, totally don't need to answer it but do you remember when you had that crush on Neville? Did that ever go away?" Parker spoke quickly.

Erica quickly turned her face away,"M-my what?"

"Well!" Parker cleared her throat, "You liked him at Hogwarts. You told me. Did that.. Feeling ever go away?:

Erica's eyes darted around before thinking of an answer,"What about you and Blaise, huh?"

"..We're not talking about me and Blaise here." Parker slapped Erica's arm, "Answer."

"Make me." Erica crossed her arms stubbornly.

Parker raised a brow and gave her a look. Erica turned her head to look at Parker, confused at the look she was giving her.

"Do I have to get my wand out? Because I will." She threatened.

"Want a bet?" Parker asked.

"Try me." Erica gave her a sly look before falling over her feet and to the ground.

"Need a hand?" Another familiar man asked.

Parker looked at the voice, freezing for a moment.

"Oh, thanks Blaise." Erica smiled and took his hand.

"Still clumsy." Blaise chuckled, he hadn't seen Parker yet which was a good thing, she was mentally screaming.

"I'm not that bad and you know it." Erica put her hands on her hips before turning,"Aren't you going to say hello to Blaise, Parker~"

Parker gave Erica a glare before she smiled at Blaise, "Blaise, hi."

"Parker!" Blaise smiled at her and held out his hand,"It's been far too long."

Parker chuckled and shook his hand, "I know. The last time we were all together was... Years ago."

"I miss hanging out with you guys." Blaise admitted.

"Yeah. All the parties were amazing." Parker nodded, "W-Why are you here? In the muggle world?"

"I'm not sure." Blaise stated before remembering,"Oh, I was out helping Draco. I was looking for date spots for him."

"If you find him, tell him that he still has Erica's cookbook." Parker nodded.

"My what?" Erica asked, she'd totally forgotten about it.

"Draco's had your cookbook for the past two months." She reminded her.

"I had a cookbook?!" Erica turned to her.

Parker covered her mouth to hide her laugh, "I got you it for Christmas!"

"Oh, that cookbook." Erica nodded, still not having a clue.

"She's still forgetful." Parker looked at Blaise.

"I remember some things." Erica gave her a look.

"Yeah right." Parker shrugged.

"Blaise!" They heard Draco shout from afar.

"He's not here!" Erica shouted back, shoving Blaise behind her.

"Erica?" Draco walked over.

"Draco." Erica smiled but it was short-lived,"Where's your girlfriend?"

"Astoria's busy." Draco sighed, "Blaise, I can see you."

"Nu-uh." Blaise shook his head.

"Aw, I miss her." Erica pouted.

"Let Blaise breath, Dray." Parker walked over to him, "Go to the food court and take a break."

"Yeah, exactly." Blaise nodded.

"Okay? Can you do that?" She pointed.

"Ugh, fine." Draco sighed and walked off.

"Blaise?" Parker turned to him.

"Yes, Parker?" Blaise asked her.

"Can.. You go make sure Draco doesn't kill anyone?" Parker asked.

Blaise shot up,"Oh shoot, you're right!"

"Exactly." Parker chuckled, "We'll see you soon?"

"Bye, you two." Blaise waved and walked after Draco.

"Bye." Parker waved before she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, "Holy shit."

"Ha! You still like him!" Erica pointed.

"No, I don't." Parker rolled her eyes.

"You do too." Erica crossed her arms.

"Not." Parker shrugged.

"You definitely do." Erica stated.

"Well you still like Neville." Parker picked up a jumper.

"How about we just drop the topic." Erica suggested, looking at hoodies.

"Yeah." Parker cleared her throat, "We never speak about this?"

"Not unless it's necessary." Erica nodded.

"Agreed." Parker nodded.

After a while of shopping, the two girls walked out of another store when they heard whistles at them. Erica turned and saw a man around their age, a muggle, she assumed.

"Hey darling." The boy smirked.

"Oh you both look awfully pretty." Another boy walked up.

"Is that so?" Erica raised a brow, already knowing that.

"Very much so." The boy with the smirk nodded, "I'm Jackson, and this is Nathan."

"I'm Erica." She told them before glancing at Parker.

"Parker." She nodded slowly.

Erica was about to turn and leave when she noticed how Parker was looking at Nathan.

"How about we give you guys our numbers? Just in case you'd like to.. Join us one time." Nathan handed them both a note.

"I'll definitely consider it." Erica looked at the number, sarcasm lacing her voice.

"Great." Jackson smiled, as they took them.

"Bye girls." Nathan winked before they walked off.

"Mhm." Erica nodded before rolling her eyes,"Heh, no chance. Am I r-"

"Ah!" Parker linked arms with Erica and walked.

"I'm confused, what's going on?" Erica asked her.

"What do you mean?" Parker asked as she walked.

"You look very... Upbeat? Don't tell me you like one of those dudes?" Erica raised a brow at her friend.

Parker scoffed and laughed, "No, they were checking us out like we were their prey. I've had someone look at me like that before, never again."

"Yes, I completely believe you." Erica nodded, using the same sarcastic tone from before.

"Hey!" Parker slapped her arm gently.

"You were mesmerized by them." Erica told her.

"Was not." Parker spoke back, almost in a small child's tone.

"We're not doing this again." Erica crossed her arms, stopped herself from walking into a wall,"Ha! I'm getting better!”

"Well done Erica." Parker laughed.

*Back at Erica's house*

Both girls unpacked their clothes, them both now sitting in Erica's room in silence before Parker spoke.

"I want a boyfriend."

"Pardon?" Erica turned to her.

"I want, a boyfriend. Like relationship. I already have too many boy friends." Parker put her book down.

"I'm surprised it took you this long to ask for my help. I'm sure you've heard that I'm a Veteran Matchmaker." Erica stood up.

"I have." Parker nodded, "Dean and Seamus are engaged, you did something."

"I also helped Draco ask out Astoria." Erica stated before pausing,"Draco Malfoy got a date before both of us!"

"He did? He did!" Parker gasped.

"Right, we met four guys today." Erica began.

"Mhm, go on." Parker crossed her legs.

"First, there's Neville. He's a really caring guy and he treats his gran well." Erica told her,"Downside, he's married and I already like him."

"And I would never do that to you." Parker shook her head.

"I wouldn't let you, anyway." Erica muttered before continuing," Next Blaise. He's rich, he's a nice guy and you'd have a happy life."

"And I've liked him since.." Parker counted the years on her fingers, "2nd year."

"Then the muggles." Erica sighed,"Jackson was not smooth and I got dumb vibes from him. He did seem quite confident though."

"That's good in a man. Confident." Parker nodded.

"Lastly, Nathan. I don't like him. He'll probably treat you like sh*t and he's five foot." Erica shook her head.

"Do you think he likes me?" Parker looked at her.

"Not in the slightest, he's only interested in your looks. Moving on." Erica cracked her knuckles and sat down.

Parker looked away before she turned back to Erica, "But he's interested?"

Erica sighed,"Parker. No. I do not trust him."

"Maybe he's a good guy." Parker shrugged, "First impressions can be tough.

Erica shook her head, she's always had good intuition that Parker usually trusted. Why was it different now?

"He's a muggle, right? He acted like one." Parker asked.

"Not a magical bone in his body." Erica nodded.

"I might try it with a muggle. What could go wrong with just a test?" She wondered.

"A lot of things." Erica sighed,"Look, if you want to then I won't stop you. I'm just saying that I don't trust him."

"I'll talk to him, see what he's like. If he's nice, I'll let you know. But he does turn out not to be trusted.. You can say 'I told you so.' Parker told her.

"Don't worry, I will." Erica smirked.

"I'm gonna head back to mine, Astro is probably hungry." Parker got up.

"Alright, see you later." Erica leaned back.

"Bye Erica." Parker hummed, getting her stuff before she left.

*After a year or two*

Nathan was sat on the couch, looking through some paperwork.

"Nathan?" Parker asked while she walked into their house.

"In here." Nathan answered her.

"Is it okay if Erica stays for a bit?" Parker walked through to the living room, "We'd be out your way."

"I suppose, just maybe sure she isn't around me." Nathan nodded.

"Alright." She walked back to the door, "You can come in."

"I would've came in anyway." Erica told her before pointing to a scar over her eye,"Is he still freaked out?"

"Hm?" Parker closed the door behind Erica.

"About the eye, he doesn't like it." Erica chuckled.

"Yeah, I still say it's because of your 'dog'." Parker chuckled and walked to her room.

"Mhm, my big, grey, scaly dog." Erica rolled her eyes.

"What dragon are you with lately?" Parker asked as she closed the door.

"Norwegian Ridgeback, like Norbeta. I named him Dog." Erica told her.

"Very creative." Parker nodded.

"I mean, he took out my eye and claim to the Muggle downstairs that it was a dog. It's the perfect name." Erica sat down.

"It is." Parker hummed, "So, what are the Weasleys up to lately?"

"Percy and Oliver are considering surrogacy." Erica informed her.

"Really?" Parker smiled, "That's great, I'm happy for them."

"Yeah, I'd be willing to if they asked me." Erica nodded.

"You'd look cute with a little baby bump." Parker hummed.

Erica rolled her eyes,"Yeah, but I wouldn't be able to work."

"I'm sure you could take a break." Parker shrugged.

"But I love working." Erica sighed,"Percy really has rubbed off on me, hasn't he?"

"He has." Parker nodded.

"Anyway, how are things with you?" Erica questioned.

Parker shrugged, "They're good."

Erica looked around the room and picked up a thin white box,"What's this?"

"Hm?" Parker got up, looking at the box.

"It was up here to the shelf." Erica told her and placed it in her hand.

"Oh..It's um.." Parker slowly put it down, "It's a..Pregnancy test."

"So... You think?" Erica began.

"Well, I've been showing symptoms. The dizziness, the sickness, plus I missed my period this month." Parker looked to the floor.

"Have you tried it?" Erica asked.

"Not yet. I'm too scared for it to be true." Parker admitted.

"Well, there's no time like the present." Erica picked it back up.

"Wh- Erica I don't think I can do this." Parker shook her head.

"I'll be right outside the door." Erica assured her, placing the box in Parker's hand.

Parker hesitated before she nodded and walked to the bathroom, letting out a sigh as she closed the door. Erica waited outside patiently. Parker hadn't even told Nathan about being a witch, what about this possible pregnancy? After about roughly ten minutes, Parker came out of the bathroom.

"I can't look at it." She held it out to Erica.

Erica looked at the test,"One line means negative, right?"

"Yes, one line means negative." Parker let out a happy sigh, she thought Erica had seen a negative

"Guess you're pregnant." Erica looked up at her.

"Wait, what?" Parker quickly took the test and looked.

"Two lines." Erica pointed out.

"..Fuck." Parker cursed.

"I wonder how Mister Boring is going to take it." Erica wondered.

"Mister Boring, is not going to take it well." Parker pointed.

"Well, I'll be up here. You go tell him." Erica sighed.

"Erica..  You do realise I'll need to be telling him two things?" Parker raised a brow, "I mean.. What if this kid comes out like us?"

"Then Nathan will either have to deal with it or leave." Erica crossed her arms.

"Or on the other hand, the child could have no magical bone in their body." Parker sighed and looked at the stairs.

"It's now or never." Erica followed Parker's eyes to the stairs.

Parker looked back at Erica, "You're going to be an auntie."

She whispered that before walking downstairs.

"I'm going to be double the aunt, hopefully they're less troublesome than James." Erica said to herself quietly, sitting down on the top step.

"Nathan?" Parker asked while she walked through to the living room.

"Hm?" Nathan raised a brow.

"Can we talk?" Parker clasped her hands together.

"I guess, I finished my paperwork just now" Nathan sat it to the side.

"I have two things I want- No, need to speak about. And I'd like if you could just.. Listen." Parker spoke slowly.

"Right... I'm listening." Nathan nodded.

"Right, well.. You know how I work away from home, sometimes?" Parker asked.

"Yes, business." Nathan answered.

"Yes, well that business is very important to a world. But not this one, there's another world technically. And I'm apart of that, I work as an Auror. Well, I'm in training to become one." Parker explained.

"A... What?" Nathan questioned.

"An Auror is a witch or wizard who act as almost a law enforcement, but for the Wizarding World. They investigate crimes that Dark Wizards do." Parker sighed, "I'm a witch, Nathan."

Nathan stood up in shock,"A witch?!"

Nathan was silent for a few minutes before asking,"And the other thing?"

"..I'm pregnant." Parker sighed.

"Well, you can be pregnant without me. I don't want some freaky children!" Nathan shouted.

A voice then called out from the stairwell,"What did I say?!"

Parker looked back at Erica and sighed, "The child wouldn't be a freak, don't call them that. Erica and I aren't."

"I knew something was off about that girl." Nathan shook his head.

"I always knew something was wrong with you." Erica walked downstairs.

"Nathan, she's my friend. Don't talk about her like that." Parker looked at Erica.

"Right, out." Erica walked towards Nathan, escorting him towards the door.

"Wait." Parker held her hand out,.

"Oh, yeah." Erica nodded, increasing her grip on the struggling Nathan to keep him in place.

"Just stay calm." Parker sighed and got her wand out, pointing it at Nathan before she spoke, "Obliviate."

After a few minutes, a dazed Nathan looked around,"Huh?"

"Go see Jackson. He's waiting for you at his house." Parker told him.

"Oh, alright stranger." Nathan smiled and walked out.

Parker quickly walked and closed the door behind him, locking it.

"Now Parker, what do we say?" Erica asked her.

"That I shouldn't have married him." Parker sighed.

"And?" Erica blinked.

Parker crossed her arms, "You told me so."

"Right." Erica nodded,"Now, let's go see Draco and Astoria."

"Are they expecting us?" Parker asked.

"No, but Astoria loves me so she'll let us in." Erica assured her.

Parker chuckled and nodded, grabbing her coat.
