Chapter 51 - The Deathly Hallows

Harry ducked down, the Herd following after while they listened in on the conversation between Voldemort and.. Snape?

"You have performed extraordinary magic with this wand, My Lord, in the last few hours alone." Snape informed him.

"No, no, I am extraordinary. But the wand.. resists me." Voldemort walked towards Snape with Nagini.

"There is no wand more powerful, Olivander himself has said it. Tonight, when the boy comes it will not fail, I'm sure of it." Snape assured the man,"It answers to you and you only."

"Does it?" Voldemort tilted his head.

"My Lord?" Snape raised a brow, not exactly sure where he was going with this.

Voldemort then began slowly walking around Snape, "The wand, does it truly answer to me? You're a clever man, Severus. Surely, you must know. Where does it's true loyalty lie?"

"With you, of course, my Lord." Snape answered.

"The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly because, I am not it's true master. The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed it's last owner." Voldemort walked towards Snape, "You killed Dumbledore, Severus. While you live, The Elder Wand cannot truly be mine. You've been a good and faithful servant, Severus. But only I, can live forever."

"My Lord-" Snape began but Voldemort cut his throat with a spell, causing him to fall against the wall the Herd hid behind.

That's when the Herd heard, "Nagini. Kill."

They could hear Nagini attacking Snape's body. Everyone either closing their eyes or flinching. A minute or so had passed and they heard disapparating, Voldemort had left. They all quickly entered the room and saw their former Potions Master bleeding out. Everyone stood in shock before Harry slowly walked over, kneeled down and tried to stop the bleeding.

Tears began rolling down Snape's face,"Take them, take them."

"Give me something, anything, a flask." Harry looked at Hermione.

Hermione reached into her bag and gave Harry a vial that was inside. Harry took the vial, opening it and began taking Snape's tears, closing it once he had a bit.

"Take them to the pensieve and Harry." Snape paused as he looked at the boy,"You have your mother's eyes."

Snape then let out a small groan before he went limp. He was gone. Then the Herd covered their ears, Voldemort was speaking again.

"You have fought valiently but in vain. I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I will command my forces to retreat. In their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity. Harry Potter, I know speak directly to you. On this night you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonour. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. If you do not so this I will kill every man, woman and child who tries to conceal you from me." Voldemort spoke to the..

Everyone looked at each other before they walked into Hogwarts and into the Great Hall. Where they could see students and teachers everywhere, some dead, some seriously injured. Everyone was messed up. Harry stood back slightly while the others stepped forward, they could see the Weasleys huddled around something.. Or someone.

"No, god, no!" Erica walked forward before running towards her family.

Ron quickly ran after Erica, seeing who it was. It was Fred. George quickly turned around and hugged Erica and Ron. Erica hugged George back sobbing into his shoulder, refusing to let him go. Their brother was gone. It wouldn't be the same anymore. Nothing would be the same without Freddie. Then Percy kneeled beside them, wrapping his arms around his three younger siblings.

"You actually came, Perce?" Ron asked.

"I was there, I couldn't save him.." Percy lowered his head, tears starting to fall.

George shook his head, "It's not your fault."

"It is. I'm your older brother. I'm supposed to be there and protect you all." Percy sobbed as Erica turned and leaned her head on his shoulder.

"You came back. That's all that matters." Ron wiped his eyes.

Percy just looked at his siblings, he couldn't understand. He'd been horrible to them, especially Erica but here they all were, forgiving him.

"You're family, Perce." George nodded, "No matter what you do."

Percy smiled as his tears kept falling.

"Nobody else is allowed to die." Erica warned her brothers, her head still resting on Percy.

"Agreed." They all nodded.

Erica gave them all a weak smile as she closed her eyes. Harry looked around, seeing Lupin and Tonks, they were dead and were holding hands. That's when he shook his head and walked out of the Great Hall, Parker following. He made his way to the Headmaster's office, walking up the stairs and inside. He then took the pensieve from the cupboard, poured in Snape's tears and shoved his head inside it. Harry gasped for air and came up from the water after about five minutes.

"Dumbledore knew you were a horcrux, Harry. He kept you safe until you came here, he knew you had to die." Parker spoke from behind him.

"Where did- Nevermind. I need to say goodbye to everyone." Harry told her, turning around.

"Harry." Parker sighed, "There.. Is a way to save yourself."

"No Parker. I have to die for everyone else to be safe." Harry shook his head, starting to walk to the door.

"The resurrection stone." Parker quickly said.

Harry just looked at Parker sadly before walking out of the office.

"Harry." Parker quickly followed after him, "If you know where to look, you'll find it."

She tried giving him a hint while she walked with him. She knew he'd want to say goodbye to the Herd. Harry took the snitch out of his pocket as he approached Ron, Erica and Hermione.

"Where have you been?" Hermione asked.

"We thought you went to the forest." Ron added.

"I'm going there now." Harry told them.

"Are you mad?" Ron asked, "No, you can't give yourself up to him."

"What is it Harry? What do you know?" Hermione asked him.

"I know why I can hear them, the snakes and Horcruxes. I've known for quite a while now, and I think you have too." Harry turned around to face them.

"I can come with you." Erica offered, not wanting her friend to die alone.

"No. Kill the snake. Kill the snake then its just him." Harry told them.

Hermione walked over and hugged Harry as Erica turned and hugged Ron. After about a minute, Harry pulled away, nodding to them before he went down the stairs and disappeared. Harry walked into the Forest with the Resurrection Stone. He'd walked quite far before he looked at the stone and suddenly when he looked around he saw his mother, father, Remus and Sirius. Harry walked towards Lily as she held out his hand, but his hand went straight through her.

"You've been so brave sweetheart." Lily told him.

"Why are you here? All of you." Harry asked.

"We never left." Lily stated.

"Does it hurt? Dying." Harry questioned Sirius when he looked at him.

"Quicker than falling asleep." Sirius assured the boy.

Harry nodded while James spoke.

"You're nearly there son." James told him.

"I'm sorry, I never wanted any of you to die for me." Harry apologized before looking at Lupin,"And Remus, your son."

"Others will tell him what his mother and father died for." Remus nodded, "One day, he'll understand."

Harry then looked around at them all,"You'll stay with me?"

James nodded, "Until the end."

"And he won't be able to see you?" Harry asked.

"No, we're in here." Sirius pointed to Harry's heart.

Harry then looked towards his mother, "Stay close to me."

"Always." Lily stated as Harry dropped the stone in the grass.

**

Voldemort and the Death Eaters had been standing in the forest for a while now.

"No sign of him, my lord." A Death Eater told Voldemort.

Voldemort glared at the Death Eater before walking forward a few steps.

"I thought he would come." Voldemort admitted.

That's when they heard a twig snap. Harry Potter had came.

"Harry? No!" Hagrid yelled, "What are you doing here?"

"Quiet!" The Death Eater from before silenced Hagrid.

"Harry Potter, the boy who lived. Come to die." Voldemort looked at Harry, lifting his wand up, "Avada Kedavra!"

Harry remembered seeing darkness before he opened his eyes. He'd woken up at King's Cross station. It was.. Cleaner. Without any trains. It was just pure white, he then began looking around, bending down to look under a bench and seen a bloody skinny creature.

"Pay no mind to that Harry." Dumbledore told him,"That is a pathetic creature."

Harry looked up and surprise surprise, Dumbledore was stood there.

"Professor, what it that?" Harry asked.

"That is something that we shouldn't focus on." Dumbledore stated.

Harry nodded, "Where are we? It looks like Kings Cross, just cleaner and no trains."

"That's exactly where we are Harry." Dumbledore answered.

"Am I really dead?" Harry asked.

"That depends on what you think dead is." Dumbledore replied.

"So is it true then, sir? A part of Voldemort truly lives within me?" Harry questioned.

"Did. It was just destroyed a few moments ago by Voldemort himself." Dumbledore corrected him,"You were the horcrux he never meant to make Harry."

The pair then sat down on a bench.

"I have to go back, don't I?" Harry sighed.

"Oh, that's up to you." Dumbledore replied.

"I have a choice?" Harry raised a brow.

"Oh yes. We're in King's Cross, you say? I think if you so desire you'd be able to board a train." Dumbledore answered him.

"And where would it take me?" Harry asked.

"On." Dumbledore then stood up as a train whistle blew in the distance.

Harry looked at the direction of the whistle, standing up himself and turned to Dumbledore, "Voldemort has the Elder Wand."

"True." Dumbledore nodded, turning to look at Harry.

"And the snakes still alive." Harry added.

"Yes." Dumbledore nodded again.

"And I have nothing to kill it with." Harry sighed.

"Help is always granted at Hogwarts, Harry, to those who ask for it. I've always prized myself on my ability to turn a phrase. Words are, in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, being able to cause injury and also remedy it." Dumbledore went on before he then began walking backwards slowly, "Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living and above all, all those who live without love."

"Professor, my mother's patronus was a doe, wasn't it?" Harry asked him,"The same as Professor Snape's. It's curious, don't you think?"

"Actually, if I think about it, it doesn't seem curious at all. I'll be going now Harry." Dumbledore turned his back and began walking again.

"Professor, is this all real? Or is this all happening in my head?" Harry questioned.

"Of course its happening inside your head, Harry. Why should that mean that it's not real?" Dumbledore smiled before he vanished.

"Professor, what should I do?" Harry asked but nobody answered,"Professor?"

That's when the light disappeared and he returned to darkness, he was alive. He just had to stay still and act dead.

Bellatrix ran over to Voldemort and began helping him up, "Are you alright?"

"I don't need your helped." Voldemort told her, standing up as he pushed her away.

"The boy, is he dead?" Bellatrix asked.

Narcissa then walked down the hill, crouching down to Harry.

"Are they alive? Draco and Parker?" She whispered, Harry could just barely hear her.

"I'm not sure, they were when I left though." Harry whispered back to her.

Narcissa raised herself up slowly, turning around to face the Death Eaters and Voldemort, "Dead."

**

Neville was looking through the rubble outside in the courtyard while he saw the Death Eaters and Voldemort coming, the students and staff joining Neville by his side.

"Who is that Hagrid's carrying?" Ginny asked Erica, who walked beside her,"Erica, who is it?"

Erica didn't answer, she was really just trying to see who it was herself.
The rest of the Herd joined Erica and Ginny, standing beside them. Although Parker was holding Draco's hand, standing beside them all with him.

"Harry Potter, is dead!" Voldemort announced.

"No, no!" Ginny began to run forward.

Erica quickly pulled Ginny back and shielded her with her arm.

"Stupid girl, Harry Potter is dead. From this day forth, you put your faith in me." Voldemort told them before turning to his Death Eaters,"Harry Potter is dead!"

They all then laughed, Bellatrix being the loudest before Voldemort joined in on the laughter, "And now is the time to declare yourself. Come forward and join us.. Or die."

There was silence in the courtyard before there was a voice. Lucius.

"Draco! Draco, Parker." Lucius called to them, hand outstretched.

Both Draco and Parker didn't move, all eyes were on them. But that's when Narcissa spoke, "Draco, Parker. Come."

Draco looked around and looked at Parker sadly before slowly approaching the Death Eaters.

"Well done, Draco. Well done." Voldemort hugged Draco before guiding him to his parents.

Parker bit her inner cheek, she couldn't let Draco go alone. She glanced at the Herd as she slowly followed after Draco. The Herd looked on at them as well as the others from Hogwarts. There must be something that they're planning, right? That's when Neville limped forward. Parker and Draco stood to the side, next to Narcissa.

"Remember what we promised? That we want to be good." Parker whispered to her older brother.

"How do we do that?" Draco asked in a hushed voice, holding his wand tight.

"Harry isn't dead, Dray. The only thing that died was the part of Voldemort inside Harry and now he has no wand." Parker looked up at him, "Prove yourself, Draco. We'll do it together."

She brought her wand down from her sleeve.

"Well, I must say I hoped for better." Voldemort laughed when Neville limped forward.

"It doesn't matter that Harry's gone." Neville began, staring Voldemort down.

"Stand down Neville." Seamus told him.

"People die everyday." Neville turned to the others, "Friends, family. Yeah, we lost Harry tonight. He's with us, so are Fred and Remus, Tonks, all of them. They didn't die in vain. But you will, because you're wrong. Harry's heart did beat for us, for all of us! It's not over!"

Neville then pulled the sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat that was in his hand. That's when Harry fell from Hagrid's arms and ran to the Hogwarts side of the battlefield.

"Now." Parker grabbed Draco's free hand and pulled him while they ran to the Hogwarts side.

"Potter!" Draco threw his wand to Harry.

Harry caught it and immediately fired a spell at Nagini, "Comfringo!"

Everyone was confused. Hogwarts were cheering, some Death Eaters were fleeing while the others began grouping up to take on the students and teachers and Voldemort was slinging spells at Harry. Erica then spotted Rockwood as he ran inside the castle. George mentioned that he was the one who blew up the wall. As the others entered the castle, Erica split off from them, charging in the direction that Rockwood went. Parker and Draco noticed Erica going off after a Death Eater. Rookwood. So they quickly followed after. Rookwood was running back to the Room of Requirement. Why? Erica knew where her brother died and it was there.

"It's your turn bitch!" Erica yelled pointing her wand at the wall Rockwood was running by,"Bombarda!"

Before anything else could happen, it fell on him. A spell shot back at Erica as the wall completely crushed Rockwood and she began leaning against a half broken pillar.

"Erica!" Parker ran over to her with Draco, "Are you alright?"

Erica gave them a weak thumbs up as she turned to look at them. She was very clearly bleeding from her left shoulder.

Draco sighed, taking Parker's wand as he used a spell to help heal Erica's shoulder.

"Aw, you care about me?" Erica chuckled, holding her shoulder.

"Don't push it that far." Draco warned. But it was in a joking way, he wasn't being mean.

Erica rubbed her shoulder,"I'm definitely not telling Percy that I was injured or he might figure out a way to kill Rockwood twice."

"I told you Percy would come back, didn't I? He just needed time to realise what he had did." Parker assured Erica while Draco moved her wand away.

Erica's shoulder wasn't bleeding any longer.

That's when Percy ended up running up behind them and rushing over to Erica,"Don't scare me like that Erica."

Draco handed Parker her wand back and Parker hid it up her sleeve once again.

"Why did you even come down here?" Percy added.

"O-oh, no reason." Erica shook her head, not very convincingly.

"That doesn't se-" Percy began.

"Erica had to get something. Find it in the rubble." Draco cut him off.

"Yeah, this." Erica took a scarf from beside the pillar, it was Fred's.

Percy looked at them all before nodding slowly, "We better get back and help."

Erica nodded, putting the scarf on as she took Percy's hand and dragged him towards the noise of fighting.

"The Great Hall. Everyone will be there since it's a big battleground." Parker stated while they all ran.

"We've got this!" Erica assured them as they ran down the broken stairs.

"I still don't understand how you get so optimistic." Percy shook his head.

"It's called lying to yourself now hurry up." Erica pushed open the broken door and ran inside.

They all ran into the Great Hall, where everyone was fighting. The four of them joined the rest of the Weasleys, who were trying to fight off some Death Eaters. Erica turned to make sure Percy was alright when Bellatrix fired most likely the killing curse at Erica but Percy saw and quickly blocked it as Molly stepped forward.

"Not my daughter you bitch!" Molly spat at Bellatrix firing Petrificus Totalus at her, causing her to freeze.

"And especially not my best friend!" Parker added, firing Reducto at Bellatrix, causing her to explode into tiny pieces.

"Right, now we're even on the murder scale." Erica nudged Parker.

Parker chuckled softly, "That felt so relieving."

She let out a shakey breath and looked at the fragments of her mother.

"What did you say?" Percy raised a brow as he placed a hand on Erica's shoulder.

"Sorry Perce. We gotta go find your brother and his girlfriend." Parker quickly grabbed Erica and ran out, Draco staying with the Weasleys.

**

Ron and Hermione had been throwing rocks at Nagini for a while now, but she was too agrivated. She had chased them down broken stairs and soon they were backed up in rubble, holding each other with their eyes closed. That's when Neville ran over and slashed up with the Sword of Gryffindor, slicing Nagini in half.

"Nice one Neville." Ron smiled while he helped them both up.

**

Voldemort had grown weaker. His last horcrux. Gone. That's when Harry and Voldemort went for one last time. Avada Cedavra versus Expelliarmus. Eventually the Elder wand flew from Voldemort's hand and into Harry's and there was a silence. Voldemort's body disintegrated into layers upon layers of ash and floated away into the wind.

They had won.

"I-is it over?" Erica looked around the battlefield.

"It's over." Parker nodded, "We did it."

**

The Herd walked upon the bridge, looking out at everything. What the damage was to everything.

"Why didn't it work for him? The Elder Wand." Hermione asked Harry, who was holding the Elder Wand.

"It's a bit complicated. The wand is owned by the person who disarms it's previous master, not kill. Draco disarmed Dumbledore and I ended up taking Draco's wand, disarming him. Therefore, I was the wand's true master." Harry explained to them.

"What should we do with it?" Ron asked him.

"We?" Parker asked, looking at Ron.

"I just want to do one thing, Erica?" Harry turned to her and she nodded.

Erica took the fragments of Harry's broken wand out of one of her pockets.

"What are you going to do?" Hermione asked.

Erica sat the fragments on the fragments off the bridge. Harry then pointed the Elder Wand at the fragments and then it was fixed again.

"Now what?" Ron asked him.

Harry looked at them before he snapped the Elder Wand and threw it off the bridge.

"Now it can't hurt anyone else." Erica sighed.

They all nodded, joining together

"To new beginnings." Parker smiled softly.
