Hermione Granger whistled quietly to herself as she leaned against the door to Florean Fortescue, smiling every once in a while if she saw someone she recognised like Neville's grandmother Augusta or Colin Creevey. A brown sling bag was over her shoulder and her other hand was holding a violin case. She had about thirty minutes until her violin lesson with Mrs. Appleby.

She wondered why Dra- Malfoy had called her here. It was unusual for both of them to be seen alone considering they were usually together when Harry and Draco were fighting it out like an old married couple, or somebody from their groups mentioned something bad about the other. Last time she remembered talking/being with him that wasn't school related was the time they met in the park.

That night, it proved to her that her suspicions about Draco Malfoy being the Draco she texted were the same people. It was weird how they could be so alike and so different at the same time. It was all way too confusing on top of her relationships with friends and family (especially her terrible cousins), schoolwork, extracurriculars and a-

     "Granger!"

Draco Malfoy's voice was loud, and it attracted the attention of several people in Diagon Alley but they quickly turned away at his glare. He walked slightly faster to catch up with her and he stood their before opening the door and gesturing for her to come in.

"So, why did you ask to talk to me Malfoy?" Hermione asked, short and straight to the point. She raised an eyebrow at him skeptically while he fidgeted. It was slightly- okay maybe really funny to see the calm and collected blond act different. "I don't have a lot of time, my violin lessons start in-"

     "I'm sorry."

     "What?"

     "I said i'm sorry, okay?"

"If you say it like that it doesn't sound sincere Malfoy."

"You really want to hear something Granger? I'm sorry for being such a little shit to you, but i'm definitely not that sorry to your ginger boytoy. Don't interrupt me, please." He said when she looked like she was going to say something, "I was a dick because of my- stuff that was happening in my life but I realised I was terrible to you. And maybe Potter. I don't want to be friends with you, i'm just asking for you to forgive me."

Silence between the two of them was thick, and they both were both thinking differently. Draco felt a slight sense of relief when he managed to spill some secrets he didn't ever want Pansy or Blaise or Theo or anybody to find out but now felt automatically stupid. He also felt awkward.

Meanwhile, Hermione was surprised at what he had talked to her about. She definitely didn't expect that. Of course she wasn't going to forgive him that easily but weighing his past and upbringing, it did sort of make sense. Not that it gave him complete forgiveness from nearly everybody at school.

"I have fifteen minutes left before my head is put on a violin so i'm going to make it short. Yes, I do forgive you but don't expect it to make for every other terrible thing you've done. It may not have escalated to things such as pranks but words can hurt just as much Malfoy. Thank you for that and now I say, goodbye."

She sent a small smile his way before walking off.

Draco smirked to himself in success, he finally did it! Mya's advice worked! But he truly was genuine in his apology. He knew that words hurt, hell, his father did it to him everyday but he wasn't willing to admit it to everybody just yet. He hummed a small tune as he walked up to the counter, ordering a double scoop ice cream.

He couldn't wait to tell Mya the good news.
