*Yawn*"Waaaah... practice sure did made me tired. I better get to sleep before wakin' up early to go to school." I mumbled before taking out my keys in my pocket and was about to open the door of my apartment, but I noticed a letter on my front door. I then picked it up and looked at where it came from.

After a few months me, Reo and Nagi bacame famous because of how good we are and how the three of us makes a perfect trio. And over the past few months, Nagi and Reo became more and more clingy(mostly Nagi).

"[Name]~ your cheeks looks so soft and squishy like mochi... I wanna eat them." Nagi mumnled while poking my right cheek making me chuckle and pat his head while fixing my glasses. "Nagi-senpai, aren't ya suppose to be practicin' with Reo-senpai?" I asked, making him pout and nuzzle his cheek against mine. "It's too much of a hassle... plus I wanna play video games with you..." He said while leaning into my touch. We then heard a familiar voice yell, making both of us look up

"[Name]! Nagi! There you both are! I was looking all over for bout of y-"

Reo suddenly bumped his head because he was too tall, so he started whining and crying.

"[Name]... my head hurts..." Reo whinned while I just kept patting his head. "There, there. Pain, pain go away~!" I chanted and it felt like Reo felt his heart get stabbed many times, before giving me a tight hug. "You're so cute!" He squealed while Nagi started smashing his head against the wall before leaning his head on my shoulder and started to complain. "[Name]~ my head hurts too..." I then let out another sigh before also patting his head.

"Pain, pain go away~!"

"Nagi-senpai! One last lap!" I yelled while running beside Reo as we watch our albino-haired friend fall onto the ground and started complaining.

"Ow- I can't anymore, I can't even walk." Nagi complained, making me and Reo stop running and looked at him with a deadpan face. "Leg's broken... cells dead.... heart stopped..." He mumbled and I just sweatdropped before yelling. "Then yer goin' to be a zombie!" I yelled but he just kept his dramatic act.
"Nagi of the dead..." He mumbled making Reo sigh. "Jeez... it can't be helped." He said before walking towards Nagi with me following behind. "Ah... so comfy. Reo limousine."

"Yeah, both of you worked hard today." Reo responded and we started making our way out of the field. "Reo, [Name]... you're weird." Nagi suddenly said, making me snap my head towards him with an offended expression.

"Excuse me?"

"What's that? We don't need you to tell us..."

We both saidwhile I kept looking at Nagi with a offended expression.
"Because it doesn't bother you guys to hang out with me." Nagi responded making me look at him for a while before burting out laughing. "Hahahahaha! So that's yer reason?! Hahahahha!" I laughed as Reo laughed along too. "Hahaha~ we can tolorate you just fine! Besides, it's fun being with you and [Name]." Reo said and I nodded in agreement before looking at our albino-haired friend. "How 'bout ya? Are ya havin' fun?" I asked and Nagi just stared at me for a while before responding.

"...Hmm- I don't really wanna play soccer, but... being with you and [Name] isn't a hassle at all." Nagi responded and it looked like Reo wasn't satisfied with his answer. "At least tell us that you're having fun."

{♡A Few hours later♡}

"Hey, I'm already tired, Reo... it's time to go home~" Nagi cooed, making Reo look at us and smiled. "Yeah, yeah Iknow, just one more for me, Nagi, [Name]!" Reo exclaimed as I leaned my head into my palm. "Yer doin' more than usual today, somethin' happened?" I asked while watching him place the ball in front of his feet before speaking.
"Yeah, because of that shitty father of mine." Reo responded before repeating his fathers words.

""Unless you can carry the Japanese National Football on your back, I won't acknowledge you." That's why both "participating" and "winning" the nationals are my stepping stones!" Reo yelled before kicking the ball into the net.  "Then, I'll keep winning and become Japan's reprasentative as fast as possible! Join me, Nagi! [Name]! Until we win the world cup!" Reo exclaimed while looking at me and Nagi with a grin.

"Well... if it means I'll be able to get the answers I want, then sure!" I said while Nagi leaned his head against mine. "I'm hungry..." Nagi mumbled, before I felt someones presence behind me, making me look at who it is. "Good job today. May I speak with you for a moment, Young Master Reo?" It was Ba-Ya. "Oh, Ba-Ya! What is it?" Reo asked as Ba-Ya took out a similar letter as mine. "It's a letter from the Japan Football Union. To Mikage Reo-sama." Ba-Ya exclaimed as Reo looked at her in shock.
"Huh?"

Nagi and I then looked at eachother, as if we were asking if we also have one. We then nodded at each other before I ran as fast as I could to get our bags. Once I got them I quickly sprinted back to them and called out Reo. "Hey, Reo-senpai! We also got that letter!" I said while handing Nagi his bag and he gave me a pat on the head as a thank you. I then took out the letter that I recieved last night and showed it to Reo.

"I haven't opened it yet since I wanted to know if both ya and Nagi got one too." I exclaimed while Nagi also took out his letter. "I also didn't open mine yet." Nagi said.

"A special player trainin' program, huh?" I said while looking at the letter with a slight frown on my face. "Seriously?! That's dope!" Reo exclaimed while looking at his own letter with sparkling eyes. "Ah, it's the same... they didn't go into detail." Nagi mumbled before looking at me and Reo.

"Is it suddenly a Japanese National Training Camp?! Or is it a U-18 delegation summon?!" Reo asked looking all excited while I just gave him with an un-intrested expression.
"Don't get yer hopes up, grapehead-senpai. We don't know if this is just some kind of scam, much worse they could be usin' this to kidnapp us at once." I nonchalantly said, while Nagi nodded in agreement before leaning his head on top of mine. "Yeah... and I hate stuff like training. I'd rather play video games and take a nap." Nagi agreed.
"What are you guys saying?! If we make an impact here, it could be the quickest way to join the National Team!" Reo yelled with a scary aura around him, making me and Nagi sweatdrop.

"There he goes again." I said while Nagi looked at Ba-Ya and pointed at Reo with his thumb. "Hey, Ba-Ya-san~ can you make this guy stop?" Nagi asked and Ba-Ya just laughed. "Ho, ho, ho, I can't do that. I've been taking care of Master Reo since he was born. So I can only respect his will." Ba-Ya said, making me chuckle and look at her while pointing at Reo.

"Ba-Ya-san, since I'll have to deal with him in the rest of the project, I'll need to get some advise from ya." I joked making her laugh. "Ho, ho, I'd say that you just have to go along with him. Other wise it will be 10× harder to deal Young Master Reo." She said and I nodded. "Got it! Thanks Ba-Ya-san!" I happily said and she just nodded in respons.

"Eh... oh well... I'll go for now, but... can you do me a favor Ba-Ya-san?"

"What would that be?"

"I've mentioned my cactus. I call it "Choki". If I don't come back for a while, just water it for me." Nagi said and handed it to Ba-Ya who nodded. Me and Reo then looked at Nagi and chuckled.

"I never knew ya would be keepin' a plant, Nagi-senpai." I exclaimed as Reo swung an arm around my shoulder. "I know, right? Who knew that you're the type of person to take care of a plant!" Reo laughed. "I like having company in my room. I said "Please give me the least annoying" and got this one." Nagi admitted making me and Reo laugh.

"Haha! What a obscure choice!"

""The least annoyin' one"? Really?"

Nagi just ignored us and looked at Ba-Ya. "Oh, make sure to not overwater it. Just once every 2-3 weeks, so you can basically leave it alone." Nagi said, while Ba-Ya nodded in understandment.

"... I see. "Becareful to not lavish it with affection". Can the same be said to Seishiro-sama and [Name]-sama?" Ba-Ya suddenly said, making me and Nagi look at her in confusion. "Huh? Could ya tell us what that means, Ba-Ya-san?" I asked and Nagi hummed in agreement, while Ba-Ya just laughed and shook her head.

"It's nothing. Please forget about it." Ba-Ya said before bowing to us. "Likewise, please take care of Young Master Reo for me." She said, making me softly smile at her and nodded. "Yep, I'll make sure to watch over him for ya." I said before dragging Nagi towards Reo while waving good bye to Ba-Ya.

{♡Inside the building♡}

Reo then excitedly opened the doors, revealing a lot more dudes inside. "Waaaahh~ that's a lot of dudes." I mumbled while dragging Nagi inside. "Yeah, quite a lot of guys here." Reo said, before the three of us stood in a corner where there aren't many dudes around. "Are they trying to make an army?" Nagi asked making me sweatdrop. "Obviously not, can't ya see that they're player too?" I said and Reo immediately nodded and started to point out mostly everyone.
While Reo was pointing out the other players, I heard the door open and saw Kira Ryousuke himself.
"Dang, Kira Ryousuke is here too." I said, making Reo snap his head to where I was looking at. "Seriously?! Rummored to be one of the U-18 Japanese National Team! The Jewel of Japan!" Reo happily said, but someone else caught my eye. A blue-haired male with blue eyes.

"Hmhp. "The Jewel of Japan"... that avarage looking shorty?" Nagi said, but Reo immediately went behind him and told him that it was the other guy. But I was still staring at the blue-haired male in curiosity, he seems to notice my gaze and looked at where we were, making eye contact with me. But the moment was cut short, when the lights suddenly turned off.

"Ahem! Congratulations. You unpolished gems." A voice suddenly said, making me snap my head to where it came from and saw a skinny looking dude in stage. "According to my judgment and biasis, the best striker under 18 are the 300 of you. My name is Ego Jinpachi. I was hired to make Japan a world champion." Ego exclaimed as we all looked at him in shock. "...What the hell... is he?" I heard Reo asked but I didn't respond and focused my attention to Ego. "To put it simply, the only thing requaired to Japanese soccer to become the best in the world... is the birth of a revolutionary striker. With the 300 of you here, I will conduct an experiment to create the worlds best striker. Look this is the facility made for that purpose. "Blue Lock"." Ego then showed us a hologram of the facility before he continued to talk.

"Starting today, you'll all be living here together. While undergoing the special training I've devised. You can't go to your homes. And mark this as the end of your previouse soccer career. But I promise this: whoever survives this Blue Lock and outlast the other 299... the last person standing... will become the world's best striker." Ego said, making me frown and click my tounge. "That concludes my explanation. Nice to meet you."

I then heard Reo laugh, making me look at him with an un-intrested expression. "Hah...! That's wild! The world cup... they mean the best in the world! Nagi! [Name]!" Reo said and turned to look at us, only to see both me and Nagi walking towards the door. "I'm leavin'. This is just a waste of my time. There's no way that 1 will outstand 299 more players." I said while Nagi nodded in agreement. "Yeah, from 300 to 1 is bound to be tough. I'm not motivated, it's impossible for me..." Nagi agreed and I was about to open the door, until Reo grabbed mine and Nagi's hand stopping us in our tracks.

"Hey, wait! Wait, wait! I said wait... the three of us can do it! Let's just participate for the time being..." Reo said, but I looked at him with a slight frown on my face. "The three of us? Reo-senpai, this "Blue Lock" isn't 'bout team work... it's 'bout bein' selfish and leavin' yer own friends behind. So wouldn't that mean that you, me and Nagi-senpai will be enemies someday?" I asked, making him go quiet. I was about to speak again, but Ego beat me to it.

"If you don't become the world's best egoist... you can never be the best in the world. Now you unpolished gems, let me ask you one final question: Imagin you're at the final match of the world cup. 80, 000 spectators, and you are on that field. The score is 0-0, it's the second halfs overtime... The very last play you recieved a pass from your teammate. It's 1-on-1 with the GK. There's a teammate 6 meters from your right. If you pass, you can certainly get a point... the expectaions of all Japan... at such critical point at the championship... you shoot without hesitation. Only such crazy egoist may procede ahead." Suddenly, the doors behind Ego opened, and he had a wide grin on his face.

"I'll say it once again. Soccer is a sport where strikers exists. Think of everyone on the field besides you as supporting actors. Discard your common sense. On the field, you're the leading actor. Take pleasure from your own goals above all else and live only in that moment. Isn't that... what it means to be a "striker"?" He finished, and the blue-haird male from earlier started running forward with a hungry look in his eyes. Soon the other players also started running forward. Leaving only me Nagi and Reo standing.

"What's the matter? You're not coming? Also, all that is left is you three." Ego said, but i only stayed quiet, before hearing Reo speak. "We'll go! Come on, Nagi, [Name]... let's go to "Blue Lock" too..." Reo said but I shook my head.

"Nah, I ain't goin'."

"Me too, it sounds like a pain."

Me and Nagi responded, making Reo look at us in shock.
"Hey! Nagi, [Name], we've come all the way here..." Reo said in a shaky voice. ""Blue Lock" isn't really for me and [Name]. We'd probably get bored and want to leave right away." Nagi exclaimed and I nodded. "Were both of you bored by my explanation?" Ego asked and I nodded before turning my head to look at him. "Yeah, after all... I only came here to see if this will help me find what I'm lookin' for... but it's just a waste of time... and I can easily envision the winnin' goal of the world cup." I said with a strong aura around me, sending shivers down Reo and Nagi's spine.

"No. You wouldn't make it. Both of you still don't understand your "ego" yet." Ego said, making .e look at him with a frown on my face. "Huh?" "[Lastname][Name]... from afar I can already tell that you're lying.... that in your eyes... it's nothing but a dead star, wanting to look for an unknown desire."

"As for Nagi Seishiro... there are many self-proclaimed geniuses like you in the world. Just like that, you domesficize your useless confidence. Both of you grow up without a fight." Ego said before turning his back on us. "I'm not interested in self-councious overclaimed bastards who just wants to live without getting hurt. Go live in comfort and rot away. Fuck off." Ego harshly said, but me and Nagi didn't take it seriously and also turned our backs on him.

"Fine~"

"If ya say so."

"You've gotta be kidding me! Nagi and [Name]... aren't any kind of geniuses out there!" Reo suddely yelled, making me and Nagi look at him in shock.
"Reo?" We both mumbled.
"The three of us...we can make it!" Reo yelled at Ego.
"The three of you? There can't be three "best in the world", you know?" Ego said, before I felt Reo grab me by my colar along with Nagi. "Then I'll either make Nagi or [Name] the best in the world! That's my "ego"!!" Reo yelled, making Ego look at us. "Wait, Reo- me and [Name] don't want to..." Nagi started but was cut off by Reo. "Shut the fuck up... believe me, Nagi, [Name]..." Reo said before pulling me and Nagi closer by our collar. "I'll take you to a life more ethralling than any nap or game!! I won't ever make both of you feel bored!" Reo exclaimed, while Nagi and I looked at each other before looking at Reo and let out a sigh of defeat.

"Fine, we'll believe ya."

"But promise us one thing... stay with us until the end?"

"Hah! What is that? Is that both your ego?"

"That's a promise, Reo-senpai."

"Yeah, I promise you, Nagi, [Name]..."
