"We lost... I knew that we didn't stand a chance against 'em, but... for some reason... there's a weird feelin' in me that's keepin' me from doin' my best..." I explained as I sat down next to Kaede, who listened attentively.
"But haven't you already found what you're looking for? What's so weird about wanting to win?" Kaede said while tilting her head in confusion, making me shake my head and look down on my hands. "No... I still haven't found what I'm lookin' for. I still don't know why I play soccer, sure it's fun at some times, but I haven't really felt the joy I felt last time, the match against Team Z. I felt so much joy playin' in that match, like I could finaly fly freely..." I explained before forming my open palm into a fist. "After that match... I never experienced that joy again. It's like I'm still trapped inside the cage father was keepin' me in. It's like somethin' didn't want me to fly. I guide others to a diferent paths, but I don't think that's..." I stopped, I couldn't find the right word to say, or rather, I don't know what to say... I looked up at Kaede when I felt her stood up, only to see that she was walking forward. I stood up from where I was sitting and looked at the female in confusion. "Kaede?"

"..."

"You guide others by creating different paths for them, to try and help them reach their goals, but..." Kaede stopped and looked at me with a soft look on her face.
"Who will guide you, if I were not here with you? That's the real question you are looking for, is it not?" She suddenly asked, making me look at her in shock. Before I could even respond, I felt a strong force pull me away, but when I opened my eyes I saw non other than Igaguri himself with a stupid grin on his face. "Hey! You're finally awake pretty eyed striker!" He lauged, but I only gave him a blank stare.

"Igaguri, sleep with one eye open tonight."

"Huh?! What's with the sudden madness?! And what did I do?!"

I let out a long sigh before sitting myself up and scratching the back of my head. "Forget it, I'm gonna go wash my face... where's that damn horny cockroach anyways?" I asked and stood up from my bed and stretched my limbs. "He ran off some where while yelling "Fuck studies, I'm gonna go do something more fun myself!" that's what he yelled." Igaguri explained, before feeling a cold aura around me, making him flinch. "That bastard... so he still didn't want to study, huh? I'll make sure to break his fingers and pop off his nails when I see him..." I mumbled, obviously annoyed by the fact that Shidou decided to ditch stuying and do something else. "Chill out dude! We don't want you getting kicked out do we?!" Igaguri panicked, taking note that I sometimes have low blood pressures early in the morning. "Oh, and Igaguri! Just so ya know I don't have any low blood pressure in the mornin', I just totally hate that horny cockroach. Ya got that?"

"Y-Yes sir, ma'am, sir!"

After I calmed myself down, I went into the restroom and saw Kurona about to brush his teeth. "Good morning [Lastname], [Lastname]..." He greeted in a sleepy voice, making me let out a light chuckle. "Good mornin' Kurona-kun." I stood up beside him before we both started brushing our teeth together in comfortable silence. Until Shidou decided to slam the door open all of a sudden. "Morning [Name]-chan! Ready for some trainin' today?!" He yelled, but immediately stopped when I sended him a death glare. "Could ya please shut the fuck up? It's still early in the fuckin' mornin', can't ya just let us enjoy the peace and quiet? Ya horny cockroach." I coldly said, with the urge to break his fingers and pop his nails off, but Kurona held my back by holding my arm, while we both continue to brush our teeth.

"Wow, low blood presure in the morning I see."

"I don't have a low blood presure, I just got pissed seein' that stupid face of yers."

"Both of you please stop fighting, fighting..."

After brushing our teeth(and beatin' Shidou's stupid lookin' ass) me and Kurona went out of the restroom to eat breakfast, but on our way to the cafeteria, we spotted Reo walking out of the monitor room. I stopped walking and looked at Reo hesitantly, before feeling Kurona pat my back, making me look at him. He gave me a nod and motioned towards Reo, telling me to talk to him, making me sigh and nod. We both started walking towards him, and once we were close enough, I called him out. "Re... Mikage-senpai...!"

Reo turned his head towards me with a slight confusion on his face. "Uhm... d-do ya... do ya wanna eat breakfast with me and Kurona? It's fine if ya don't wanna..." I manage to say and scratched tha back of my head, making him look at me in shock, before his gaze soften.
"Well I've got noting else to do, so... sure." He responded, with a small smile on his face. Kurona looked at me and hardly slapped my back, making me let out a yelp of surprize. "Ack! What was that for???" I whisper yelled at the pink haired male, who only gave me a thumbs up. "Good job!" Kurona said, in english, making me blush and Reo chuckle at our little interaction. "Alright, let's go get something to eat then."

The three of us started making our way to the cafeteria, as both Kurona and Reo talked about how strong the World 5 players were, while I only stayed quiet, with one thought on my mind. 'Now that I think about it... who real' is Kaede-san in my past life...?' I thought before looking at Kurona and Reo who were busy talking with each other. 'Maybe I'll just enjoy this moment for a while, before askin' her 'bout it...'

"[Name]... can i talk to you? Alone?" Reo asked, while looking at me with a nervous expression. I stared at him for a while, before looking at Kurona with a smile on my face. "Kurona-kun, you go ahead. Me and Reo will catch up with you." I said, making him nod and give me a pat on the shoulder. Me and Reo entered the monitor room in silence, finding it a great place to talk. "So... what is it that you want to talk about, Mikage-senpai?" I asked while looking up at him. Reo turned to look at me with his face full of regret and nervousness.

"About what I said at the start of the second selection... I'm sorry." He suddenly said, making me flinch and look at him in shock. "I was so frustrated that time, because Nagi chose to go with Isagi over me... I wasn't thinking about what I said and I didn't mean to hurt your feelings that time! When I saw you again... I wanted to hug you and tell you how sorry I am for saying those words to you... but when you said that I was just a stranger, it felt like my throat was dry... it was the same feeling I felt with Nagi..." Reo then walked up to me and gently held my hands. "[Name] I-"

"Idiot!"

I shoved his hands away from mine and started hitting him in the chest. "Idiot, Idiot, Idiot! Yer such an idiot!" I yelled as tears started to fall down my chin. "Do ya know how much I thought that ya didn't care 'bout me anymore?! I kept practicin' all day and night! Just to catch up with ya and Nagi-senpai! Yer words affected me so much cuz... hic .... cuz ya and Nagi-senpai were the few people who accepted me the way I am! Both of ya didn't care if I was a girl! Both of ya didn't force me to do better! Instead, both of ya... hic... both of ya showered me with affection and kindness! Somethin' I hadn't felt in years!"

I yelled as more tears started to fall. "Even though I would always give both of ya a fake smile, ya still wanted to be friends with me! I hate it that... hic... that ya said those words to me!!" I yelled, before felling Reo wrap his arms around me. Catching me off gaurd and tightly gripped onto his back. "Yer an idiot!"
"I know." "A morron!" "I know."

"Yer the most stubborn person I've ever met in my whole life!"

"Yeah, I know... just keep on insulting me, I deserve it anyways."

I harder cried into his chest, finally letting out all the emotions I felt, as Reo hugged me tighter and didn't dare say a word. Honestly, it didn't feel like he wanted to let me go until I stopped crying. Maybe I'll give him a chance... just this once.

"Is somethin' wrong?" I asked with a worried expression, but Kurona shook his head before giving me a thumbs up. "Nope, you look good! Like a real prince charming, I knew that the headband would look good on you, on you!" Kurona complimented with rosey cheeks, while Reo only stared at me with a massive blush on his face. "[Lastname], try doing a impression of a prince charming! Like meeting a lovely princes!" Igaguri sudggested with a grin on his. "Hmm... a prince charmin' impression, huh? Well, it wouldn't hurt to try... ehem! Ehem! What a lovely lady, I'm sure that no other gemstone could ever beat that beauty of yers, if ya don't mind... I would like to see that smile of yours that cost more than millions of diamonds..."

I mentally cringed at the line I just said, before looking at the three males beside me. Only to see both Reo and Kurona's faces completly red, while Igaguri gave me a thumbs up. "Nice one! You were just like a real prince charming!" Igaguri laughed before heard an anouncement.

"Ding Dong Ding Dong!"

"The Second Selection has just come to an end. All players who will advance have been gathered. Please promtly put on your bib uniforms and gather at the Central Joint Room."

A womans voice announced, making me let out a sigh of relief. "Finaly! I was gettin' tired of teachin'!"  I said while standing up and stretching my limbs. "We're gonna meet the other teams, huh?" Igaguri said while sweating bullets, while Kurona nodded and also stood up. "Yeah, I wonder what the other teams are like, like." He said, making Reo nod in agreement. "Yeah, I wonder too, but it doesn't really matter if their stronger than us, we'll just have to give it our all to win."

We all went to the locker room and changed into our uniforms to get ready to go to the gathering area, once I rolled up my sleeves, I looked at the rest of my teammates.
"Is everyone ready?" I asked, but Igaguri went in front of me and shook his head.

"Not yet! Shidou still isn't here!"

"Damn I forgot about him."

"Now how are we going to-"

"SHIDOU FUCKIN' RYUSEI!!!"

Author pov:

"Achoo!" The said male sneezed, waking up from his slumber and started looking around. "Hm... I feel like someone is talking about me. Meh, I'm pretty sure it's nothing." Shidou said and went straight back to sleep. All this time he was hiding inside the "Employees Only" monitor room, where the other employees from Blue Lock gather information on the players. While Shidou slept, he didn't notice two workers walk in and noticed the sleeping male on the floor.

"Hey, isn't he one of the players?"

"What's he doing here? And how did he find this place?"

[Third Selection - Joint Room]

"It seems that the 2nd Team Clear is having some... uh ... a bit of a problem, so we will procede to the other teams first. 3rd Team Clear please enter!"

"Oh? I wonder what their problem is..." Bachira said and tilted his head in confusion, while Isagi nodded beside him. "Yeah, are they having troubles on looking for their other teammate?" Isagi said to himself, before hearing a door automaticaly open, making him and the others look at the up coming team.

"Sup."

"I'm here you scrub."

"It's been a million years."

Three familiar faces entered, making Isagi sigh in relief. "You guys..." Isagi muttered with a small smile on his face. "Huh? Why do you look so relieved Isagi? Don't tell me you thought we wouldn't make it." Nagi suddenly said, making Isagi flinch and immediately shook his head. "Uh... no thats not-" Before Isagi could finish Barou grabbed him by the back of his colar. "You bastard, you were totally looking down on us! You cocky little..." Barou angrily said.
"Still treating us like a supporting cast, huh?" Chigiri said while giving Isagi a look. "That's not it! I'm just... really happy, is all. To be able to see you guys again." Isagi admitted with a blush on his cheeks.

"Of course we were gonna see each other again. I couldn't let it end here after having lost to you."

"Don't forget I'm gonna kill you! I still haven't beaten the Top 3.

"Anyhow, let's just say we were meant to see eachother again!"

"Yeah! There's more games for us yet!"

"Moving on! Next clear team please enter!"

The doors opened and they were met with unfamiliar faces. "Hm! Don't recognize a single one." Bachira said and crossed his arms, making Isagi sweatdrop. "...Well, it's not like we were the only ones fighting here." Isagi exclaimed, while looking at the team that just entered.

"Moving on! 5th clear team, please enter!"

And they were yet again met with unfamiliar faces, but most of them did look very strong! Only 3 more teams left!

"6th clear team, please enter!"

The doors opened and a familiar black haired male entered. "Niko!" Isagi yelped in shock, while Chigiri looked at the team in confusion. "Isn't that team missing a person?" He asked and thats the time where they announced that Nishioka Hajime, was injured during the match against the World 5.

"7th clear team, please enter!"

When the doors started to open, they heared familiar voices bickering.
"I told you! Quit pushing!" "I wanna be in the middle for a flashy entrance." "No! That's gotta be me! Is what I'm saying!" Once the doors fully opened, three familiar faces fell on the floor.

"Raichi! Gagamaru!"

"Graaaa!! See what I said, dumbass!" Raichi yelled in anger as big bro Wamina glared at Gagamaru, who grabbed both their heads and pushed them on the ground. "What a lame entrance. Ah! Hey guys! There are a lot of faces I haven't seen in a while!" Is what he said, making Bachira laugh. "Haha~! They haven't changed one bit!" Bachira laughed, while Chigiri frowned. "There's only one team left." Chigiri said as he glanced at the door which hasn't been opened yet. "Yeah, it's the team where they had a problem, right? Kunigami, Reo and [Name] aren't here yet." Nagi exclaimed, staring at the door for a while.

"Thank you for waiting! We have successfuly solved the 2nd clear team's problem. And lastly, the 2nd clear team, please enter!"

The doors opened, revealing Igaguri himself, and a certain pink haired male beside him entered. "Igaguri?!" Bachira yelled in shock, not expecting Igaguri to pass, actualy... everyone in Team Z didn't expect him to pass. From behind the monk  Nagi saw a cetain purple-haired male and a h/c female walk beside eachother, and enter the room.
"Reo, [Name]..." Nagi mumbled as relief washed over him, but there was still one more person left, as Isagi and Chigiri looked at the approaching figure with a nervous expression, expecting a ginger-haired male to enter, but...

[Name] pov:

I looked at Isagi and Chigiri's nervous expression, already knowing who they expect to be the last person, making me sigh and look down on the ground in pity.
'Yeah, just as I thought... some of ya will expect Kunigami-san to be the last person to enter. The kind, carin' friend and big brother figure ya guys knew. I've heard what happened from Igaguri, I know that I did nothin' wrong, but I feel sorry for ya guys...' I glanced behind me and watched as Shidou entered, with a sly grin on his face. "That's all."
