Chapter 3
Jade sat in a chair, tilting her head up then down. She looked as Jay who stared at her with wide eyes. She turned to Dizzy and put her hand on the back of her head, she knew that the truth was out.
"You're being bullied?" Jay asked softly.
Jade stared at him her eyes dropping to the floor. "Yeah, but it's nothing." She grabbed a ball and tossed it up into the air, shrugging the matter off.
"Nothing?" Carlos said as he turned to her. "You're kidding me."
"Yeah," Evie stood up and walked to Jade, she put her arms on her shoulders. "There is no way that being bullied is nothing."
"Maybe to you," Jade replied as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
Mal turned to look at Jay. He had a hard expression on his face, anger, but in his eyes, there was sadness. She knew that he wanted to help Jade, but he knew that his idea of help was probably to fight them. Mal watched the others, she didn't want to get involved but would have to.
"To us?" Mal asked. "What are you saying?"
"On the Isle, You guys never really got 'bullied' no one dared, but I have, and I can just shrug it off now." She sighed as she rolled the ball in her hands.
"You cannot just shrug it off!" Jay exclaimed as he stepped closer.
Jade leaned back and felt Evie's hand leave her shoulders. Evie and Mal exchanged a glance, they had never seen Jay like this, only if they were in danger, which they weren't. Evie turned to Carlos, and they knew something was up, but it seemed as though Jay didn't know himself.
"I can Jay," Jade replied as she set the ball back on the table. "Done it before."
Carlos walked towards the door, he left, going to his own room. Jay looked at Jade once more, but turned to leave. It was Evie, Mal, Dizzy and Jade left in the room.
"We can't just torture him," Mal said, her eyes gleamed in the evening light.
Evie sat beside Dizzy. "Any ideas on how we're gonna break the news to him?"
"We won't," Jade said as she looked each one of them in the eye. "That's how."

Jade walked back into her room, she had just passed Jay on the way, but they hadn't spoken, he tried to look at her, but she would look away, breaking the eye contact. She stood in front of the mirror and watched the reflection of Dizzy coming into the room.
"You have to stop looking at yourself like that." She said as she set her bag by her bed and books on her desk.
Jade sighed as she turned around to look at Dizzy, she smiled as she picked something off her desk. Dizzy handed it to her and watched as she took the bracelet.
"Thanks, Dizz." She slipped the golden jeweled bracelet on.
There was a knock on the door, Dizzy walked towards the door and opened it, to see King Ben.
"Hello," she smiled as she let him in.
"Your majesty," Jade added as she put her hands on the table, leaning lightly on it.
Ben smiled as he looked around their room, the two had put their own little touch to it, it felt like their old home, the Isle.
"How are the two ladies doing?" He asked as he approached them.
"Just fine." Dizzy smiled as she responded.
Ben waited for Jade's response, but it became clear that she wasn't going to reply. He looked around then back to the two girls.
"How has your stay been?" He asked.
Dizzy looked to Jade, it was her turn to answer. She only looked at the two, when she saw Dizzy she wondered why she didn't respond, but then she understood why.
"Oh, just fine." She looked at Ben, who looked at both of them.
"Alright, I'll see myself out." He said as he walked away, closing the door behind him.
The two looked at each other. They sat at the table in the middle of the room, across from each other. The door opened quietly, they turned to see Evie and Mal.
"Hi girls," Evie said as she walked towards them.
"Sup," Jade replied as she fingered the bracelet.
She looked at Mal and Evie, they didn't seem so happy, but she didn't know why. Hopefully, it wasn't Jay, Jade just couldn't take any more of that drama.
"Any news?" Mal asked as she sat on Dizzy's bed.
"Nah," Dizzy replied. "Where are the boys?"
Evie smiled. "They're outside the door," she turned her head to the door. "most likely eavesdropping," she said loud enough for them to hear.
The four girls laughed as they watched the door open and the boys enter the room. They came in, face flushed with embarrassment. They sat on Jade's bed and watched the others.
"Why?" Mal asked as she stopped laughing.
Carlos turned to her. "We're your friends, why not?"
They smiled as they joked around. Dizzy joined them by sitting beside Carlos. Jay moved to the desk in front of Jade. The others chatted on while Jade and Jay didn't speak.

Carlos stood up and looked at the others. "Time for us to go, come on Jay." He said as he walked out the door, Jay following as usual.
"Well, we better be off too, time for bed," Evie said as she and Mal got up and left.
Jade turned to Dizzy. "I want to tell him, I really do but how?"
"Just get it over with," Dizzy said as she stood up and stood by Jade.
Jade looked up at her and then back down. "What if he's listening this second?"
On the other side of the door, a boy stood, ear pressed to the door, eavesdropping as he had before. He listened trying to figure everything out, but soon it was time to leave. He went to his dorm room, petting his dog on the way.
