Ben stood at the front of the school, along side him, Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay. Everyone else was in the crowd, waiting for two new VKs to enter. Evie smiled as the limo pulled up, the door opened and out came two new kids.

Ben stepped forwards and greeted them. The others following, they shook hands and chatted for a short while.

"So, why don't you tell everyone your names," Ben said as he looked at the others.

One of them had a splatter painted dress, she had orange and red streaks in her chocolate brown hair. She wore glasses and headphones around her neck.

"I'm Dizzy." She smiled as Evie stepped beside her and gave her a side hug.

The other stared at the girl who wore black combat boots, she had jeans and a leather jacket on. She had fingerless gloves and a necklace, barely visible, it had many different charms on it, lamps, staffs, hooks, and many other symbols. Her hair was dark brown and she had it in a high ponytail falling down and going over her shoulder.

"I'm Jade." She said as she stared at Jay.

"Welcome, hopefully, you'll enjoy your stay here," Ben said as he turned around and entered the building.

"So, this is your dorm room." Ben pointed to a room at the end of the hall. "It's close by to these guys' rooms so you can get to them if you need it."

Ben opened the door and they entered. Dizzy had a big smile on her face, just as Evie had the first time she came to Auradon. Jade looked around a blank expression on her face. She turned her head to watch Ben leave the six of them together.

Dizzy spun around, taking a good look around the room. Jade, on the other hand, stood walked towards one of the beds, the one in the corner. She dropped her duffle bag onto the bed and sat beside her duffle bag, as she watched the others gather around Dizzy.

Jay looked back, he watched as Jade unpacked the things in her bag, and there weren't many things in there. He watched as the others talked with Dizzy, mainly Mal and Evie, Carlos was watching them and Dude.

Jay walked towards Jade and sat beside her. She looked up at him and stared, not knowing what to do. She had never been given much attention, and now Jay was giving it to her. Jade finished with the things in her bag and Jay took it from her, putting it down on the ground.

"So, who's your parent?" He asked her as he leaned on the wall.

"I'd rather not say," Jade said as she rubbed the lamp charm on her necklace.

"You know Jade, I have a cousin with the same name," Jay said as he watches her nervously finger her necklace.

"Oh," she laughed quietly. "what a coincidence."

Jay wondered what it was with her, but he decided it wasn't too important. He watched as she stared at the others gathering around Dizzy, she seemed to want the attention, but at the same time, not want it.

"You like it here in Auradon?" He asked Jade as he set his hand on his leg.

"Well, I guess." She sighed and looked out the window. "I haven't been around here much, you probably have, so have the others."

"Don't worry. You'll get used to it." He said as he patted her back.

Jay felt her tense, and he brought his hand back and on his lap.

"Look, you'll be fine." He looked into her dark brown eyes.

"I hope you're right." Jade stood up and looked around, the other girls had left her with the two boys and a dog.

"So, you're Carlos, you're Jay." She confirmed. The two boys nodded in reply. "The other guy, Ben right?"

"Yeah," Carlos looked up at her. "You sound like you haven't heard of him."

Carlos watched as she looked to the side. "No, I don't know him. My parent has kept me cooped up so I've never seen much on the Isle."

Just as they finished their chat, there was a knock at the door. Jade walked towards it and swung the door open to see Ben in front of her.

"Can I talk to you, Jade?" Ben quietly asked as he looked into her eyes.

"Yep, whatever ya want." Jade walked out and Ben closed the door behind her.

"Are you torturing Jay?" He asked as he crossed his arms.

"No." She looked into his eyes. "Why would I do that?"

She looked at Ben and saw the care in his eyes. She realized that he was looking out for Jay and was concerned about him. She eyed his wear, a lot of blue and white. She looked at the ring on his finger and back at his eyes.

"You're the daughter of-"

"Don't say it." She cut him short.

"You know what I mean." He twisted his ring around his finger. "Why don't you tell him?"

"I'm not allowed to." She sighed and looked at the ground. "He didn't know I existed, and my father didn't want him to either."

"Well, that makes sense. Go back, go do whatever it was you were doing." Ben replied as he left them and walked down the hall to see Evie, Mal, and Dizzy.

Jade exhaled and opened the door to see Jay and Carlos on the ground, tugging a jersey. They turned their head to see Jade and stopped in their tracks. Jay got up and let go of the jersey, Carlos smiling as he folded it and set it beside him.

"What was that all about?" He asked as he set his laptop on his lap.

"Oh, just questions." Jade smiled and shut the door behind her, she sat on her bed and looked at her leather jacket, she fiddled with a few zippers.

"Like what?" Jay asked curiously.

Jade didn't know how to answer. "Um... settling in..." she said it more like a question than an answer.

Jay and Carlos shared a look, but they ignored it for now. Carlos stood up and strode towards the door, Jay following.

"I hope you enjoy your stay here," Carlos said.

"If you need anything, just ask alright?" Jay said as he shut the door.
