(A/N): The long awaited final chapter is finally here. Extremely sorry for the incredibly long wait, but I have been busy this summer.

Here it is- hope you enjoy!

P.S- there will be an epilogue so don't stress ;)

- Lee Minseo's POV -

I was in the shower, thinking about everything that happened in the past 24 hours. It was another restless night last night; what was said at the picnic wouldn't leave my mind, in addition to what Yoongi was muttering in his sleep the other night. I can't help but think there's more to what Yoongi was telling me, but I can't think of anything else that makes sense...

Wrapping a towel around me, I stepped out of the shower and proceeded to get dressed and dry my hair. I could hear voices from downstairs - one of them being Yoongi's - but ignored them as they were nothing to do with me. However, the longer I waited the louder the voices got.

Well, only one.

He sounded panicked, angry and afraid. He was yelling at his bodyguards, shouting words that only sounded like noise from this far away. Worriedly, once I was dressed I poked my head out the door to see what was going on.

"Hurry!" Yoongi yelled. "Get outside! Quickly!" He ran his hands through his hair, swiftly pacing up and down as he did so. I stood and watched, scared to even move as he looked so afraid. My mind began rushing with haunting thoughts. Was someone here? Were they going to kill Yoongi?

"MINSEO!" I jumped out of my skin when I heard Yoongi call my name. He stared right at me from downstairs, his eyes piercing through my skull with a look that would make even the most chilled person worry.

I froze. He proceeded to run up the stairs - missing a few if he could - and dashed over to me, grabbing my wrist.
"We don't have much time." He told me, dragging me up another flight of stairs into the maids' rooms. "They're here."

They..!? Does he mean... the bad men!?

I had no words. I couldn't say anything. Fear shocked through my body as fast as electricity, and the only thing making my legs move was the pull of Yoongi's grip on my wrist. We ran and ran and ran, through small corridors and past surprised workers, all the way up to another flight of stairs. Unlike the rest of the house, these looked derelict, unused.

"Follow me." He ordered, running up the stairs and unlocking the rusty door at the top with an old-looking key he pulled out of his pocket. Inside we went, and he locked the door tight behind us.

"Y-Yoongi?" I stuttered, stood motionless in the middle of the room. He turned to face me, a purely sad look in his eyes. It looked as if he'd given up all hope; like he knew it was the end. "What's gonna happen to us?"

There was a small window in the dusty room, but what I saw when I looked out of it sent shivers through my body. Masses of people with guns. They were killing people. Breaking into the house. They were coming.

"They'll find you." He mumbled silently. "You were safe here, but not anymore. It doesn't matter about me, but you, as soon as you leave here they'll come for you." There was a silence between the two of us, and we listened in on the yelling and screaming and gunfire.

"But- but surely if I stay by the police I'll-" I was interrupted
"NO!" He yelled. "They'll find you! They always do! It doesn't matter where you go... what you do... or who you're with... they'll-" I gulped down the large lump in my throat, my hands began shaking in fear. Only slightly at first, but the shaking began to intensify. I took sharper breaths, trying to calm myself down.

"They'll what?" I managed to force out. His eyes began welling with tears, and he covered his mouth with his hand to mute any small noises.
"After everything I tried to do..." He mumbled, closing his eyes. Seeing him like this, so shaken, so upset, so scared, made me fear for the worst.

"They'll what!?" I yelled, feeling something cold on my cheeks. My breathing got heavier. My vision got blurrier.

"They'll kill you too."

- Jeon Jungkook's POV -

"Is everyone ready!?" Minho yelled. He'd been appointed squad leader, and that meant everyone had to follow his orders. I don't just mean us 3, I mean all 100 trained police men and women who have come to help with the mission. Since this case has been all over South Korea, flocks of special forces have come in aid of catching Min Yoongi, and damn did we look cool.

We were instructed to wear black. A black long-sleeved top with a bulletproof vest underneath, special made black trousers with a belt and a holster for a gun, and a black helmet with a black face mask. I've never done anything like this before; to say I'm excited would be an understatement, especially now that I know I'm getting Minseo back.

I can finally bring her home. She'll finally be safe with me.

"Then let's go!" Minho yelled. We jumped in large black vans: there were 10 vans, so that was 10 people in each one, and the four of us went together in one. Of course, we were accompanied by Minseok, Moonbyul and Jinki, and three other people who'd traveled from Gwangju.

"You scared?" Moonbyul broke the ice after a few minutes of silence. No one answered initially.
"A little." Mingyu replied. "I've never done this before; it's all kind of thrilling if you ask me."
"Me too." I mumbled in reply.

"Just remember to be careful," Minseok spoke up. "And don't do anything reckless."
"Because your life could be on the line in a situation like this." Jinki added, and the two of us nodded our heads in understanding.

The ride was silent the rest of the way; everyone seemed too nervous to say or do anything. I don't blame them; what we're about to do is very nerve racking.

My hands began to get clammy in nervousness. My heart kept beating faster and faster in anticipation. My foot was bouncing up and down on the floor as I couldn't stop myself from moving. I tightened my grip around my pistol (with the safety still on, of course) trying to find a way to release this anxious feeling in my gut, but it wouldn't budge.

I can't get worked up, not now.

"Okay then." Minho spoke through his walkie talkie. In this van we could hear him perfectly, but he spoke through the device for people in the other vans. "We're nearing the site. There are reports saying that the criminal has armed guards on the premises. The number is unknown. They will be trained in defence, so be on your guard and prepare for combat."

My heart was beating faster than it was before. This is it. We're here.

The doors opened, harshly blinding us with the bright sunlight from outside.
"Come on! Get out!" A man yelled, ushering us out the van. We did as we were told, and I took the safety off my pistol. Things were about to get real.

The mansion was filled with chaos. Blood, both of bodyguards and officers was splattered all over the walls as if it were a child's painting. Mingyu and I had managed to stay together amidst the mayhem, but a sudden transmission from the walkie talkie meant that this was no longer the case.

"We found a staircase leading to the third floor on the west of the building. Over." The crackling voice spoke. I know they'll be in there; I can feel it. The people who found it were a small group of military volunteers, armed with much bigger guns than me and equipped with a lot more experience in this type of fieldwork.

Nevertheless, I left Mingyu behind and made a break for it, not stopping once in fear of being shot.
"Jungkook!? Wait!" Mingyu called out and tried to follow, but a burst of gun shots stopped him from doing so. Already on the second floor, it wasn't hard to spot the people I was after, so once I'd escaped the rain of bullets I felt relatively safe.

Spotting the people (who'd reported the third floor) break down said door, I decided to tail them and see where the passageway lead. Hundreds of scared and confused people were cramped in tiny rooms, terrified as they stared at the group of us running past. They must be workers that Yoongi has kept locked away....

"Stay in here and lock the doors until it's all over." I ordered, my role as a police officer taking over. They did just that, leaving space for the volunteers and I to make our way through. The passageway seemed never ending, but the thought that each step would get me closer and closer to the person I love drives me to move as fast as my legs would take me.

- Lee Minseo's POV -

"Remember to breathe Minseo." Yoongi reassured me. "In and out." I was crying into his chest, a panic attack taking over my entire body and making me feel breathless and dizzy. "Breathe slowly. Close your eyes and think about all the fun we had at the picnic the other day." He said, trying his best to keep himself calm in order to keep me calm. "Remember how happy we were."

"We're gonna die!" I cried out, gripping the material on his shirt tightly. "I- I can't leave or- or the- they'll-"
"Sshhh..." He whispered, caressing my head with his hands, leaning his head onto mine. Loud, heavy footsteps could be heard on the other side of the door. It began to move. Someone was kicking it in. They were coming in. The door fell to the floor.

"FREEZE!" The voices yelled, making me jump out of my skin and look up to find 5 people with large guns pointed at us. Another person came from behind and pushed his way to the front, and when I saw his face I couldn't help but tear up. He held a pistol in his hand, but once he saw me it lowered slowly.

"M-Minseo..?" Jungkook stuttered. "I- is that really you?" I couldn't speak, so I nodded instead. That's when he started to shake, he started to tear up, becoming unstable, just like me.

"I-it's the end of the line, Yoongi." Jungkook turned to look at Yoongi, his expression suddenly hardening. "Hand her over."
"You're right Jungkook." He sighed, still holding onto me tightly. "It is the end."

Holding up a gun to the right of my head, he placed his head on the left of mine, his hand ready on the trigger. The cold metal was digging into my skin, and I felt my heart pulsating out of my chest in fear. My eyes bolted open, as did everyone else's, in fear, worry, and shock.

"DON'T MOVE!" They all yelled, pulling out their guns and pointing them all at Yoongi. More people rushed in, and I recognised Mingyu, Jisoo and Minho instantly, along with a few others a didn't know.

Jungkook's eyes were lit with an angry fire. He did not only seem angry, but also scared, as I noticed how his hand was shaking, and the glint of fear that was extremely evident.
"PUT THE FUCKING GUN DOWN!" He yelled, attempting to stable his shaking hands by holding the gun with two hands, but to no avail.

"You know Jungkook, you were right." Yoongi sighed, adjusting his grip on the gun. I daren't move. "I am one hell of a bastard for what I'm about to do." Each word Yoongi spoke caused Jungkook to shake a little more, and not being able to watch anymore I closed my eyes, letting the darkness engulf me.

"D-on't you fucking dare." Jungkook growled, the sadness and anger in his voice was clear for everyone to hear. "How, how could you?"
"It's what's best." He replied.
"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SAY THAT!" Jungkook screamed. "YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MINSEO!" He cried out, and I could tell he was crying by the sheer distress in his tone.

"On the contrary," Yoongi spoke. "It's you that knows nothing." There was a silence, until I heard one last thing.

"Goodbye, Jungkook."

Followed by a piercing gunshot.
