Maybe I should back up to the reason we got to that point. Back all the way to when I was first born.

"I can't believe you had a girl, you were meant to have a son so he could carry the gene, I didn't get you pregnant and marry you for you to give birth to a girl" Andrew said to his wife and mother of his child

"Andrew I can't control what gender it is" Ashley said

He slapped her across the face and she gasped. She wasn't his imprint nor was she the love of his life. He made that clear when he slapped her for having a baby girl instead of a boy. From that point on the child wasn't beat but wasn't loved either.

As years passed and the child grew then the beatings started.

"Your dead to me you little brat" her mother said slapping her and shoving her into the basement where she stayed

She got no food that night and got beat by her mom later as well. Her father had left them and remarried having found his mate and had a son. He wasn't abusive to his mate he was only abusive to Ashley. She was a stop in the road that he shouldn't have made. Which resulted in the birth of his biggest mistake and Ashely's too. She reminded her daughter of that on a daily basis. As she beat her and starved her nearly to death most times.

Although the young girl just shy of thirteen thought it was love. It wasn't until she went to a friends house and witnessed true parentally love. She was so confused and asked her mother what happened to her love for her.

"I never loved you, you were a mistake and your a disgrace to this family you understand that little girl" her mom snapped

"Yes ma'am I understand" she said and left the room

"Good now get away from me" Ashley shouted as the girl quickly rushed off

Not wanting to cause her mother any trouble because it wouldn't end well. She simply did as told and followed the rules all the time. It wasn't until she turned fifteen did things change for them. The girl wasn't having it anymore but she still got beat. She decided to numb the pain another way.
