(He reads few of her personal entries and fun moments between her, Khushi and Yash and could spot some hints of them teasing her with a boy but he wasn't sure exactly whom. He finally reaches another interesting page)

Dear Diary,

Long time na? Today was fresher's party in our college and situational demand, he was my date for today!! Damn.. I had butterflies all over my stomach. All the time we were in car after taking cake the only thought all over my mind was the the day when I realised I had a crush on him for the first and and the way Khushi acted.. oh stupid stupid girl! It's been 6 years to that day. Just few days after I bumped into him and felt something for the first time was the day when I realised I had a crush. Oh wait.. I didn't realise.. Khushi told me I had a crush. That day me, Yash and Khushu were in the class and Khushi had forgotten her project at home and she was cribbing since morning about it. Jannu di saw her cribbing from class window and walked to us to talk to Khushi. We were just teasing her and chatting when all of a sudden Karan entered our class and don't know what happened but I was dumbstruck! I couldn't utter a single word in front of him and suddenly fell silent. He came and gave Khushi her project saying she forgot it on the breakfast table this morning she took it happily and hugged him. Yash was cute back then and Jannu di didn't fight with him. They were all talking and having fun and there I was staring at him, completely lost, not realising a single thing happening around me. I don't know for how long I was staring at jim but suddenly I came back to senses as Khushi pinched me and asked where I was lost. I didn't know. I stayed quiet. Even Jannu di asked me if I was ok and Yash irritated me but at that moment, I didn't care. I just couldn't say anything! I shrugged off their questions and started reading, whom am I lying to? Started pretending to read my textbook when Shiv shouted at them for disappearing suddenly and asked them to go back as recess was over and next period was going to start. They left with him but not before he giving me a cute smile and saying bye. He said bye to me... Did that mean I existed for him? Ok I know it's over thinking because he always greets me. Nothing he did for the first time but probably this time it felt different. It felt special. Something I won't feel for everyone around me. As they left and Yash was having fun with his Boy gang, Khushi started bombarding me to answer her and she kept asking me what was wrong with me. I avoided her for a long time but then gave in and told her how I was feeling about someone but making sure without telling it was her brother I was talking about. She listened to me carefully and exclaimed loudly "Omg Kritss! You have a crush?" I didn't know what that was so I asked her more about the concept and kept relating it to how I felt. She was a bookish freak and could perfectly describe whatever she read in her novels and soon I knew I had a crush! But it seemed to be weird. I had a crush on my best friends brother.. I didn't know how she'd react if I told ger so decided to stay quiet but how could she stay quiet and let things go? She kept pestering me to know who the guy was for one week straight but I didn't wanted to create a scene. I asked her to let it go multiple times but she didn't listen. After a week, I had to give in as she started blackmailing me on our friendship and secrets. I had no choice left and I told her I had crush on her own brother. I thought she would get mad at me or be shocked at least but to my surprise she started dancing!! It was weird! Really really weird! I just didn't understand what and how this girl would react to something. Later she said, "it's so cool you have crush on Karan.. ab dekh kuch din mein he will also have crush on you and then tu mere bhabhi ban jayegi." I couldn't help but just laugh. Shaadi? Seriously? 6 years down the line, today I was on my first date with him at a highly conjusgted place, surrounded by hundreds of people and moreover he was forced to be my date! Wow.. Khushi can think literally anything! Not her fault actually. All the novels she read always suggested happy endings.. Anyways, that day she was very happy and Purvi Aunty came to pick us up and he decided to go home with all of us. I took my usual window seat and normally when he joins us, me and Khushi sit together and he takes another window seat but today Khushi fought with him fir the window seat and made him sit between bith of us. My heart raced faster and faster as he made any moment sitting besides me. He kept humming song that car radio was playing. It was a lovely romantic song that felt even more melodious as he sang it. I wanted to.. hug him.. but I couldn't for obvious reasons and soon we reached my home. I quickly got off the car and went home with a big smile plastered on my face. Even today he was so sweet. He bought red velvet for me and was a gentleman all the time. It felt so good dancing with him. Oh god! When I think of him, I just couldn't think anything else. Ok enough.. bye diary.. love you!

Oh my god.. iska matlab Jannu aur Shiv pehle se hi sahi the.. she felt for me.. wo bachpan se mujhe pasand karti thii.. you were right Khushi.. tu chahti thi wahi hua.. akhir Kriti hi teri bhabhi bani.. fresher's night hamari first date thi! Jo kahani tumne saalo pehle shuru ki thi uski happy ending.. nahi uski happy new beginning mai karunga.. hamari life ka ek naya chapter.. tum bachpan se mujhe pasand karti ho aur mai bewakoof sochta raha tum kisi aur ko pasand karti ho aur jabardasti bina man ke ye shaadi kar rahi ho.. I am such a fool!! I need to know more..
(He starts going through few more personal entries. By the time class finishes and Shiv starts searching for Khushi to talk to her)

Shiv: Kya ladka hai ye Karan.. mai aur Jannu itna vaqt iske liye ruke the, class ke liye bhi laye ho gaye aur phir ye bolta hai librarian ne pakad liya.. bewakoof kahi ka.. aur Khushi.. wo Kriti aur Yash ke saath aayi aur Jannu ko smile deke bina baat kiye seedhe class chali gayi.. mai baat bhi nahi kar paaya usase.. hi hello hi kar leti na.. ye dono bhai behen na.. mera jeena haram karke rakha hai.. kabhi behen avoid karti hai kabhi bhai latkake chala jaata hai.. accha chal raha hai inka.. aur ye Jannu.. baar baar kal raat ki details maang rahi hai.. ab mai aur kya batau.. kaha na bina jawab diye chali gayi.. ab gayi to gayi.. kya batau mai ise? Anyways.. filhaal Khushi ko dhundhna hai.. par hai kaha wo? Pura college to dekh liya.. Class mein nahi hai, experiment room mein nahi hai, parking mein nahi hai, ground mein nahi hai aur office mein bhi nahi hai.. aur kaha jaa sakti hai? Kahi wo ghar to nahi chali gayi hogi? Lekin aise lecture chhodke jayegi nahi.. hai to topper hi.. Kriti aur Yash canteen mein baithe the par Khushu nahi thi unke saath.. unhe puch lu kya? Nahi.. pucha to wo puchenge kyu dhundh raha hu.. kya bataunga? Lekin aur koi option bhi to nahi hai iss vaqt.. puch hi leta hu.. (he starts walking towards them but stops) oh shitt.. mai bhool kaise sakta hu?? Library.. wo kitaabi keeda library mein hogi.. after all wahi ek jagah hai jaha mai normally jata nahi hu aur wo ye baat jaanti hai.. I must check Library.. I am sure wahi hogii..
(He runs to the Library and as soon as he enters the Library someone comes in front of him)

Chhipkali.. par ye library mein kar kya rahi hai? Ab isase peecha chhudau ya Khushi ko dhundhu? Yaha se gaya to andar dekh nahi paunga.. raha to ye ladki mujhe akela nahi chhodegi.. Ruchita: Shiv.. Shiv.. sun rahe ho meri baat?

Shiv: ha? Ha.. kya kaha tumne?

Ruchita: kaha kho gaye the? Mai kab se puch rahi hu library mein kya kar rahe ho?

Shiv: Ohh.. wo.. wo kuch kaam tha to aana pada..

Ruchita: Aree waah.. Shiv ko Library mein kaam tha wo bhi uss din jab mujhe library ki duty hai.. that's interesting.. (smirking)

Shiv: (smiling irritated) haha.. accha mujhe kaam hai aur tumhari bhi to duty hai na? Thank you chalo bye.. (she walks inside from her side and she keeps looking at him with a duck face. She then goes in front of him again)

Ruchita: Shiv.. tum yaha aate hi kitne baar ho? Tumhe to pata bhi nahi kaunsi book kaha hai.. let me help you naa.. batao mujhe kya kaam tha tumhe..

Shiv: Chhi.. chita.. Ruchita.. ha Ruchita.. mujhe help ki jaroorat nahi hai.. I'll manage thank you!

Ruchita: Kaise jaroorat nahi hai? Mai keh..

(Just then a girl enters the room but Shiv couldn't see her as his back was facing her)

Girl: Aree o Chhipkali.. wo bol raha hai na jaroorat nahi hai? Nahi hai to nahi hai.. bol raha hai wo he will handel to chhod na uska picha..

Ruchita: Umm.. and who exactly you think you are to say all this to me? And how dare you call me Chhipkali?

(Shiv turns around to see the girl and a huge smile gets plastered on his face)

Girl: Mai kaun hu, kaun nahi hu is none of your business.. aur bina vajah usase itna chipkegi to tujhe chhipkali hi bulaungi naa? Ab tere sawal ho gaye ho to please care to leave us alone..

Ruchita: What?? How dare you? Shiv!! Tumhare saamne koi mujhse itni badtameezi se baat kar raha hai aur tum yaha muskura rahe ho? What's wrong with you?

Girl: Sunai nahi deta kya tujhe? Get lost chhipkali.. leave us alone warna..

Ruchita: warna kya? Listen.. tum jo bhi ho.. you can't just rome around ordering me ok?

Girl: warna..

Shiv: (he holds her hand) umm.. Ruchita.. I am sorry for her behaviour but can you please leave us alone? Mujhe kuch baat karni hai isase..

Ruchita: ye hai kaun Shiv? How dare she talks to me like that?

Shiv: sorry Ruchita.. she is my friend.. please..

Ruchita: tum aise aise logo se dosti karte ho? How disgusting.. Shiv maine tumse better expect kiya tha..

(Librarian arrives)

/Librarian: ye ho kya raha hai yaha? Ye library hai... war zone nahi..

Ruchita: Ma'am pata nahi ye kaun ladki hai.. yaha aayi aur mujhse badtameezi karne lagi.. aur mujhe Shiv ki madad bhi nahi karne de rahi..

(Turns towards the girl)
Librarian: tum? Accha hua tum mil gayi.. Shiv tumhe Ruchita ki madad ki jaroorat hai?

Shiv: no ma'am..

Librarian: Ruchita, Shiv ko jaroorat nahi hai.. go back to your work

Ruchita: o.. ok.. ma'am..

Librarian: aur tumne stairs pe meri madad ki to tunhari ye kitaab gir gayi thi.. ye lo..

(Girl takes the book)
Girl: Oops.. thanks ma'am..

(Librarian goes back and the girl hugs Shiv tightly and he hugs her back happily)

Girl: Shivu.... Kya chakkar hai boss? Aaj tu library mein kaise? Aakhir ho kya raha hai.. mere aate hi mujhe heart attack dene ka iraada hai kya? Aur ye.. ye wahi chhipakli hai na jisase Jannu tujhe bachati ghumti hai? Ya teri girlfriend to nahi? I hope not warna I swear mai uska murder kar dungi aur usase pehle tera murder kar dungi..

Shiv: Come on yaar.. no ways.. she is not my girlfriend.. wahi chhipkali hai ye.. Jannu wali..

Girl: Thank god..!! Anywayss.. par tu library mein exactly karne kya aaya hai?

Shiv: umm.. ek dost ko dhoondh raha hu..

Girl: dost.. yani ki friend.. accha to friend yaa girlfriend?

Shiv: Well.. A girl.. who is a friend.. Happy? (Chuckles) Accha ab pehle meri help kar use dhoondhne mein..

Girl: Wow yaar.. mai bhi tu milu.. aisi kaunsi ladki hai jo Shiv Malhotra ko library tak le aayi? Mere saamne aa jaye to mai uske charansparsh kar lu.. itna bada kaam jo kar dikhaya hai usne..

Shiv: ok.. pehle decide kar le sirf taunts aur mazak hi udane wali hai ya help bhi karne wali hai?

Girl: ok ok.. I'll help.. par mujhe thodi na pata hai wo kaisi dikhti hai.. photo naam kuch to bata..

Shiv: ohh haa..
(He shows her Khushi's photo)

Girl: Oyee.. ye to Karan ki behen hai na? Tu use kyu dhoond raha hai?

Shiv: Haa ye Karan ki behen hi hai.. baki sab mai baadme explain karta hu pehle use dhoondhna important hai to please help me out..

Girl: Ok.. par wo taha nahi hai.. fire exit ki stairs par hai..

(He looks at her in shock)
Shiv: What? Par tujhe kaise pata? Maine pure college mein dhoondh liya use.. wo fire exit mein kya kar rahi hai?

Girl: Actually mai yaha aa rahi thi to maine use waha chhupke jaate hue dekha tha.. mai baat karne wali thi par socha wo mujhe jaanto nahi hai to baadme Karan ke saath milungi to mai tujhe dhoondhne lag gayi..

(Shiv hugs her tightly)
Shiv: wo chhup rahi hai.. wow.. but you are the bestt Surr!! Meri jaan hai tu.. thank you sooo much!! Tu aayi nahi aur itni badi help bhi kar di.. love you yaaar... (He kisses her forehead) mai jaake pehle use milta hu aur phir aake tujhe sab batata hu.. mujhe thodi der mein basketball ground mein mil..
