Fighting. Fighting. Fighting. The Ninja and Mei were not new to this. Not one bit. And now, here they were trying to defend as many people as possible.

But that was the problem. There didn't seem to be...anyone left.

Mei constantly flew around with The Ninja in her arms...although, she had to admit, it was kinda difficult to carry them.

"Soooo...your whole thing is fire?" Kai asked as he and his friends awkwardly hung from her arm.

Mei hummed. "Yeah, pretty much! Interdimensional destroying fire and all that."

"...well, consider me jealous." Kai grumbled.

Zane hummed. "This does bring up a good point. Our powers are stopped by The Crystal Warriors, yet your fire is not. Why?"

"Well, Red can probably explain this better than I can!" Mei giggled. "But think of my fire as some kind of energy, and not an element! Plus, different dimensions and all that."

Cole nodded. "Makes enough sense to me."

"Ummm, is there any less awkward way to carry us all? I don't like dangling by Zane's leg!" Jay cried.

Mei shrugged. "I can't carry all four of you! My arms aren't that big!"

"See, this is why being a dragon right now would be super helpful!" Kai exclaimed. "We were gonna have these dragon forms and-"

Mei then gasped. "That gives me an idea!!!"

The Ninja all looked at her before suddenly...Mei dropped them. They screamed as they fell through the air...only for them to fall on the back of a green dragon, but it wasn't like a lot of the dragons they had seen in their life.

This dragon did not have wings, and while it did have arms and legs, it was shaped like some kind of serpent. Mei's shadowy silhouette was at the hand of the flaming dragon as it flew around.

"THIS IS AWESOME!!!" Jay exclaimed as he almost surfed on Mei's dragon form...but then, he nearly slipped, only for Cole to catch him and pull him back up.

Cole sighed. "Let's not do that again, hmm?"

Zane then started scanning the city, with his functions also being supercharged due to the laws of this new realm. He was looking for any kind of human life as Mei flew around.

Kai looked at his robotic friend. "Anything, Zane?"

Zane was...silent. He then looked at him. "...no. Everyone in this city has been crystallized."

The other Ninja looked down, feeling guilty already. They had barely been in this city for a day and The Crystal King had taken it over. Just like Ninjago...

Mei then flew off towards the docks, having heard The Ninja. She looked around the city, her home...and she sighed with a heavy heart. How many times was something bad going to happen to it?

She was surprised that they were still living in it after it was either conquered or destroyed or both so many times.

They arrived at the docks shortly after to see their friends taking out a small legion of Crystal Warriors, with all of them working together to finish them off. Mei flew down and then dispersed her dragon form as she landed on Sandy's boat, The Ninja following suit.

Lloyd gasped. "GUYS!"

"LLOYD!" The Ninja all cried as they rushed to their friend, relieved he was alright.

Cole looked around. "Where's Master Wu?!"

"I've been trying to reach him. He's not responding." Lloyd said, gesturing to his earpiece.

Kai clenched his fists. "If those freaks took him too, I'm gonna LOSE it..."

Then, MK and his friends got onto the boat as well, followed by Pixal, Nya, and Skylor. And just as they got on, the boat started to drift off into the sea. Feeling safe, all the heroes took a moment to reflect and think.

All of this was happening so fast...so, none of them really knew what to do.

Cole then broke the silence. "So...I think now would be a good time for introductions."

Pigsy scoffed a bit. "Really? At a time like this, now we become friends?"

Tang set a hand on his shoulder. "In his defense, there's...really not a whole lot we can do right now."

"And if we're gonna be working to stop The Overlord together, we better get to know each other." Nya added. "I guess I'll start. I'm Nya...former Master of Water. Over there is my brother, Kai. That's my yin, Jay. And then there's Cole, Zane, Lloyd, Pixal, and Skylor. We had two others with us, but obviously? They're not here right now..."

Lloyd sighed. "I hope they're safe...I did not want the last moment with my dad to be another fight for our lives..."

MK's eyes softened before he cleared his throat. "Well, we'll find them. I know we can! But! I'm MK!"

Jay tilted his head. "Just...MK? Is it short for anything?"

MK laughed. "Yeah! Funny story actually! My real name is-"

But just as MK was about to speak, a bunch of Sandy's cats started to meow and make a bunch of noises that blocked him out. But The Monkie Kid continued to tell his story while The Ninja tried their hardest to hear him.

Nya just stared at the cats, narrowing her eyes. Somehow, the electric chicken they kept with them at the monastery was more bearable. Pixal just deactivated her audio receptors. Skylor, however, just covered her ears.

The cats eventually stopped though, conveniently at the same time MK finished his story.

"And that's why I go by MK!" He said proudly. "Anyway, over there's my best friend, Mei!"

Mei made an adorable face. "Sup!"

"Over there's my NEW best friend, Red Son!" MK said, presenting the demon prince like he was some kind of prize at an auction.

Red Son rolled his eyes. "We aren't best friends, Noodle Boy. Never will be-"

MK just gave him a tight hug to silence him before gesturing to Sandy at the wheel. "And that's Sandy! Super sweet guy!"

"I can agree." Lloyd said. "Makes fantastic tea too."

Sandy chuckled. "Aww, shucks!"

"And then there's Mr. Tang! He's the brains of our operation!" MK smiled, mostly gesturing to Tang's glasses. "And then the best chef around, Pigsy!"

Pigsy smiled. "Aww, kid."

"I'm getting the sense that you're somewhat of a dad to him." Jay suddenly said.

Pigsy was about to speak before he actually took a moment to think about that. "...I have known him ever since he was little...hmmm..."

Tang then bit his lip. "To be fair though, everyone can be MK's father figure. Heck, I'm somewhat certain all of you will be father-figures to him somehow." He said, looking at The Ninja.

Zane was obviously a bit surprised. "I...do not know how to respond to that."

Lloyd then walked forward and held out his hand for a handshake, which MK shook with a large smile. "It'll be an honor to fight by your side. We promise. Your home's gonna be okay."

MK smiled. "Heh. I know it will. We've basically got an army of our own now!"

Cole then walked over. "Now, we just need some kind of plan...maybe we just barge in and smash The Overlord into a crater? Probably with cool weapons and vehicles?"

Red Son cackled. "Considering what his army is like, I doubt that will work. Besides, we don't even know where he is."

"Or what he wants..." Tang added. "Every villain we've fought is usually after...something...Ninja, what did The Overlord want back in Ninjago?"

Kai shrugged. "Other than to cover Ninjago in darkness and death? I'm...not sure. But...I think he might've wanted something with us."

"Corrupt our powers perhaps." Zane said. "He has lost to us before, so naturally, he'd want to be smarter..."

Tang then came up with an idea. "Then, maybe...the reason he brought all of you here is so he can gain more power..."

"So, he can truly defeat us." Pixal realized. "That is very plausible. But where is he going to gain such power?"

Then...an all too familiar voice spoke up. "The Four Spiritual Primates."

Lloyd's eyes widened before he saw...no one other than his father land on the boat with a teenage girl in his arms. "...Father?"

"Lloyd." Garmadon said as he let the girl go, who was sniffling as she looked down.

MK then zoomed over and hugged the girl tightly. "Bai He! Thank goodness! Wait, where's Macaque? We're gonna need him and Monkey King!"

Lily's heart broke as she hugged MK back...a little too tightly as she sniffled more. She didn't speak and only buried her face in MK's shoulder.

Garmadon looked to the side before sighing. "Macaque and your 'Monkey King' have been taken by The Crystal King. They are Crystal Zombies that serve him now..."

The entire crew of this realm were silent, MK especially. He held Lily closer as he was dead silent, his eyes wide.

"...b-but...w-we can get them back...r-right?" MK suddenly asked, his voice and body trembling.

Lloyd stepped forward as MK gently broke the hug with Lily. "Of course. We just have to beat The Crystal King and they'll both be fine...I promise you."

MK nodded, preventing any tears from falling down his face before he looked at Garmadon. "You...know what he wants?"

"Vangelis name dropped something called The Four Spiritual Primates. He wants their powers. Likely to become godlike." Garmadon said. "Wukong and Macaque were two of them..."

Kai's eyes widened. "That means The Overlord only needs two left..."

"Then we better find them before he does." Nya said, slamming her fist into her palm.

But then, Tang made a nervous chuckle. "A-about that, heh...The Four Spiritual Primates is a case that not even history has touched upon."

Red Son turned. "Ummm, what? How have they not?! It's essentially four all powerful beings! How does-"

"Have you heard anything about them?" Tang asked suddenly. "Do you know anything about them until now?"

Red Son was silent...before shaking his head.

Tang nodded. "That's exactly why...Wukong gave his story to the public. He made himself well known. Macaque was always hiding in the shadows, but even then, he had a story in the Journey To The West...the other two Primates? Well...they're practically unheard of. No one even knows where to start looking for them."

Lloyd looked at him. "You mean...no one's even tried?"

"To be fair," Pixal added. "If you don't exactly know where to start, then it would be rather difficult...were Wukong and Macaque aware of the other two?"

Tang sighed. "If they were, then I have a feeling they'd have already found them by now."

MK was then quickly filled with determination as he spun around his staff. "Guess we better start looking then! Let's just choose a random-"

But then...a voice spoke from The Ninja's communicators. "F-finally! I have a signal!"

"Master Wu!!!" The Ninja all cried. "Where have you been?! You said you'd meet us at the city!"

Wu quickly replied. "I-I was heading there until I was somehow taken away by a mysterious silver energy...and now...I believe I have more insight about this place and who The Overlord is looking for. I'm sending you all my location."

Tang took a moment. "...I think we're about to do something history has never done before."

Pigsy grinned. "You mean again?"

Lloyd and MK looked at each other before grinning, already feeling a sense of heroism and determination.
