Nico saw a camper from the Hermes cabin begin to sneak up from the back, so Nico makes a little distraction. He twists his skull ring on his finger, a few hands raises from the ground along with camper screams. He would never get tried of this trick.

"Henry I thought you said zombies were just a myth!" A girl screams and jumps into who Nico assumes is Henry arms.

"Reality check Jess we are living a myth." He says and he carries her and himself away from the hands.

The camper takes the flag in the confusion and disappears into the brush.

Nico smiles but it disappears when he hears one scream higher then the rest coming from the west. He whips his head around and his blood runs cold.

Reyna.

He closes his eyes the shadows engulf him. He has been about to shadow jump more often without it draining him so much.

When he arrives he sees Derek leaning over Reyna his leg pulled back going to kick her and he does with a smile.

"The prophecy can't be fulfilled if you're dead, but my masters never said how." He smirks and kneels to pulls her limp face into his hands.

He reels his foot back to kick again, this time Reyna grabs his foot twisting it sharply to the left. Derek cried in shock and pain falling to the ground. He takes out a dagger preparing to throw at
Reyna.

He feels his blood boiling and he begins to slip away from control,  Nico let's go all the shadows. He only ever lost control like this when the quest with coach Hedge and Reyna.

He blacks out for a moment and wakes up still standing rested against a tree. The earth has a fresh large scar and the within the 5 feet of where Derek once stood is nothing but ash.

Nico looks down at his fingers and their transparent he quickly hugs himself, kneeling to hide his shaking hands that didn't seem to exist.

He takes deep breaths, his eyes flutter shut he remains quite until he hears a cough.

Reyna slowly raises and a blood trickles along her sides and she stumbles but makes eye contact with Nico and walks over.

He takes a step back his arms still hugged around himself, "D-don't come any closer!"

She frowns, "You had too, I owe you."

"I'm a monster." He whispers and collapses to his knees.

"No gods no." Reyna kneels with him, "Nico you're a hero, you saved my life."

"I killed someone." Nico looks at Reyna and stares into her dark eyes.

"That's who the monster was." She said and reaches out to grab his shoulder and he flinches back.

"Please I might hurt you."

"Nico can you look at me," Reyna says softy and he looks ups,"We don't hurt each other we protect each other."

Nico reaches out for her his hands have returned to normal and hugs her close. His head buried in her hair and she wraps his arms around him. Nico doesn't know how long they were hugging but he breaks apart.

"Here's some ambrosia." he hands her square and she eats it. "they're probably wondering where we are."

She opens her mouth to respond but Nico hears a scream and draws his sword.

"Drakon!" someone yells followed buy a ear splitting inhuman scream.

Nico and Reyna appear from the woods weapons drawn.

A camper raises his shield to defend himself from the acid.

"Hey!" A girl yells and throws a rock at the drackon and Nico recognizes the voice.

Charlie.

The drakon turns it's yellow eyes with a black slit down the middle to her and leans back getting ready to strike. Nico hears a sharp breath come from Reyna and then she sprints.

"Reyna!" Nico yells as she jumps on the drakons back as it springs. Chiron shoots and arrow in it's left eye but it doesn't stop it.

The same camper with a shield tackles Charlie and raises it as acid rains down.

Reyna desperately stabs her sword into the monster and tries to hold on, Nico sprints and joins her.

"The head!" He yells as they violently whip from side to side.

Reyna nods and hooks her left arm to the drakon back and takes her sword from the drakon's back as it hisses in pain.

She goes to chop off the head when it reels back making a giant backward 'c' shape and she loses her grip Nico as well.

Reyna sticks her sword in the beast and holds on gripping Nico wrist.

"Nico!" She calls over all the shouts. "Do it!"

Nico takes his sword and at a deadly arch slashes off the head of the drackon.

The rest of the body returns into ash and Nico and Reyna are free falling. He grips her hand and pulls her in close until she is resting ontop of him.

"Do you trust me?" He whispers.

"Yes." She answers back.

"Then close your eyes." He says and closes his eyes as well and he open a shadow ready for shadow travel.

He feels the tug of other Shadows as he tries to concentrate on a place.

When he opens his eyes he is surrounded by campers looking around.

He groans and Reyna stirs as well and picks herself up offering her hand. He accepts her hand.

"Over here!" someone yells and there swarmed with campers.

Their faces range from awe to horror and concern.

"Are you two alright?" A guy from the Aphrodite cabin asks.

"Fine a little acid here and there but fine." Reyna answers and brushes ash off her armor.

Chiron walks over in horse form,"There have been minor injures but we have darker forces at work here." his eyes scan the wood, "Everyone back to camp."

Everyone nods and begins to walk back to camp, Nico and Reyna were at the back.

"I saw the Ares cabin take the head, I think it's the spoils of war." She sticks her hand in her pockets and shivers slightly.

"They can keep it." Nico waves his hands in a dismissal type way,"Where would I put that in Cabin 13?"

"In the living area." She answers in a duh tone and Nico cracks a smile.

"Yes definitely, let's place it on the coffee table."

Once they reach camp everyone surrounds the camp fire and the people from Apollo's cabin begins to hum. Nico noticed Will wasn't with them.
Once they were finished everyone when back to there Cabins.

"We're having a counselor meeting at the big house!" Someone yells and a few people turn there direction and walk toward the big house.

Reyna continues to walk to the cabins but Nico grabs her wrist.

"I think you're wanted at the meeting also." Nico says and she nods.

"Shadow travel?" He asks raising and eyebrow.

"Shadow travel." She confirms and they melt into the shadows

When they are around games and ping pong tables with a few juices out.

"So what is the matter? Chiron why have you called us here?" Will asks breaking the silence.

"There has been some news from Camp Jupiter."

Nico hears Reyna stir.

"They are large groups of monsters forming around Camp Jupiter and they are set to attack." He explains and  mumbles go all around the room.

"So it's simple we go over and kill them." Clarisse says and slams the butt of her spear to the ground, "Eliminate the threat before they have time to grow into large numbers we can't stop."

"Yes that is a possibly but there is a greater thing that Percy iris message us." His eyes go to Reyna. "There has been a prophecy, not the next great one but still a big deal."

"Who is it about?"

"Reyna and Nico."

Hey just got the weird thing wattpad was doing resolved so I can hopefully post more chapters. I hope you all like the story. This time is was told in Nico's POV.
