You Are Mine
Bones will break,
hear them crack.
It is a melody,
a lullaby for innocent hearts.
We've been at it for days,
weeks, month or years.
I lost count of seconds
the moment you walked though the door.
We may crash.
We may burn.
But it won't matter
if it's you and I.
Telegraphs will be sent
a search party,
dogs and all.
No one will find us now.
The Family Circus
was always full of criticism.
They laughed.
I ran upstairs and burnt it in the bathroom sink.
Who are they to judge?
Let us rot.
Let us fall apart.
This was never theirs to begin with.
Hearts may fragment
souls will twine,
knot together forever.
You are mine.
