Chapter 47: Long wait, still alive, and your fuckin' with me...
About a month later, Tuesday, April 21, 2071.
At the Joint UNE Marine Corps/Atlas Military/White Fang Base in Vale. The bunker was still in chaos as teams from either the Unified Nations of Earth(Military Special Forces, Renew Power[Wayne's private military and security division] Special Operations Teams, and ZWC Spec Ops), Atlas Specialists, Huntsmen, Huntresses, Red Fang Operators(White Fang directly under Sienna Khan's command for high-risk covert missions), and Ooarai Battalion. Came up with nothing again.
"Okay, thanks again." Wayne said as ended the call on his smartphone. He along with the Founder and CEO of Zenif Wartime Corporations(or ZWC for short) Katherine R. Brussett. A major multi-type Filipino international company in the Philippines and the entirely of East Asia. Teamed up to try and find either Alpha Platoon(Ryan, Anthony, David, Mari, Igor, Shino, Jie, Kang, Felix, Dae, Michael, Winter, Clover, Harriet, Marrow, Elm, and Vine) or to capture Khalid al-Hassan.
Both Spec Ops teams found nothing.
Wayne already lost most hope a month after the nuclear explosion that his twin brother Anthony dead. Now it has been four months and all they have is his busted and bloodily MK1 Exo-suit at the crash site of Outlaw Two-Five's MV-38 Condor.
"Anything new on your end, son?" General Towson asked as Wayne shook his in conformation. He sighs too as the massive casualties still pains the older Marine general. And the fact that he had to break the news to his wife that their oldest son was MIA then after a month KIA.
He also broke the news to Nora his adoptive daughter and she just forze. He heard from Jaune and Pyrrha that Ren and Nora locked themselves in their dorm room for the first two months. After that they weren't the same.
Nora was more quiet and stoic. While Ren was more depressed and angry and grew a bit of a facial hair, and both have a dark and hateful look in their eyes. Especially Ren. It reminded the general of himself in the early stages of his service. The death of his parents and younger siblings made him cold and detached, and the deaths of his fellow Marines and soldiers caused him to become furious and ruthless. It's why he had a reputation as a 'Bloody Marine'. He didn't give a damn about the enemy's surrender and killed everyone he saw. Even the ones that were unarmed.
Team RWBY was also in the more quiet, depressed and angry state too. Besides Ruby who wore a hooded cape all the time. The rest of the team also wore them. He noticed that Blake cut her hair short, Weiss removes her bell-sleeved bolero and wears gloves and braided her hair, and Yang was... even he had to questioned it, but Yang was dating his son Tyrone. She also changed her outfit to a black crop top, tight pants, and knee high heel boots. She also cut her hair short but added in a braided ponytail. She also had her semblance active for months to the point her Aura barely drains from the long use. Even he could see the burning fire and rage in her eyes.
He also noticed that Ruby's hair has grown slightly longer that maintains the color gradation from black at the roots to red at the tips in a braided ponytail and her new design sports a white high-neck décolletage blouse with brown studded wristbands on the arms. Her outfit retains the use of a black skirt with red tulle underneath, somewhat similar to her original outfit, but her waist cincher has been replaced with an Overbust corset with red strip holding it in place. A black belt bordered in red holds the magnetic clip for Crescent Rose and its ammunition.
He saw her Honorary Uncle Qrow Branwen enter along with Atlas Military General James Ironwood, and Sienna Khan.
Ironwood's appearance was slightly less pristine. He had grown stubble and his hair was slightly messier. He wore a white, double-breasted tailcoat with dark blue and black accents, most notable at the cuffs and shoulder pieces. The coat was belted at the waist. Underneath, Ironwood had a black collared shirt and a red tie. He also wore two white gloves, in contrast to wearing only one on his right hand. His pants were no longer tucked inside military boots but instead hang over the black boots.
Behind them was USMC Lieutenant General Ajax Fernandes(David's dad), Ooarai Battalion General Field Marshal Miho Maria Nishizumi, Teams RWBY and JNPR, and Professors Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch.
"Any luck?" Wayne asked with them shaking their heads.
Qrow answered, "Nothing. It's like they just vanished without a trace."
"Dammit! Where are they!?" Ren cried. "Why aren't they back yet!?"
"Ren, calm down." Jaune said attempting to calm his teammate.
"Fuck off!" Ren snapped, glaring at Jaune. "You don't have the right to say that to me!"
"What's that supposed to mean!?" Jaune questioned, a little annoyed.
Their small argument was stopped as they felt Yang's glare at the two making them silent. Her hair still lit with her Semblance.
"Hey, knock it off you two." Ruby said, sternly.
"Ruby, are you seriously-" Jaune said before he was cut off by an angered Ruby.
"I said, knock it off." She told him, her eyes narrowed.
Jaune looked at her with surprise and worry. "Ruby, what's wrong?"
"You know exactly what's wrong." Blake said, her voice a little cold.
"What?"
"We're pissed off." Yang said.
"Yang-"
"We're tired of this, Jaune." Weiss added.
"Alright. Before more of you either crash out or punch each other in face. Just remember that we ALL have our hands tied." Sienna said calming down everyone, "Each and every one of you are still upset and angry. But if you keep going like this, we'll never get anything done. Now let's just try and calm down."
They all nodded in understanding and calmed down a little.
"But, where the hell are they? And we're not just talking about the Marines, Schnee, and the Ace-Ops." Qrow said as he was about take a sip from his flask when Miho grabbed it and crushed it.
"We need you sober this time Branwen. That means no drinking." Miho told him.
"Hey! Don't crush my booze!" Qrow complained.
"I said, no drinking." Miho repeated.
"Yeah, yeah. Anyway, as I was saying. We're not just talking about the troops. But that bastard Al-Hassan as well." Qrow turns to Ajax, "You said that even the best trackers, spy network and tech have trouble finding him?"
Ajax sighed and answered, "Yep. That bastard's good. Very good. Everytime we find something, we get nothing. I'm starting to wonder if this guy's a ghost. Hell, I've heard some of my men say that Al-Hassan is the devil incarnate."
"Well, I'm starting to agree with them." Wayne said, "Every time he shows up, he leaves no trail and disappears. He's almost untraceable."
"I've been looking everywhere." Ozpin said, "From the ruins of Emerald Forest to the ruins of Vacuo. He's not in any of those."
"Same with me." Ironwood added, "I've had some of the Atlesian Knights, Paladins, and the Iron Legion search through Vale, Atlas and Mantle. But I'm afraid he's not there."
"And I checked with the Iranian military and they haven't seen him either." General Towson said.
"Wait, he's not in Iran?" Weiss asked, surprised.
"He's not."
"That's not good." Ruby said.
Just then a British Royal Marine Private rushed in, "Sir! I have good news, bads news, very good news, awesome news, and strange news!" He said addressing General Towson with a salute.
"At ease, Private. What is it?" General Towson asked.
"The good news is, we found him. Bad news, he's in Dalaram Village and he massacred 90% of the villagers. Very good news, he is found. Awesome news, he is dead. Torse was blew up by a 40mm." Hearing this shock everyone, especially Wayne, Qrow, Miho, and Ajax.
"Strange news, he was being interrogated by a group of 17 individuals."
"17 individuals?" Sienna asked, confused.
"Yeah. Some of them were wearing the Desert MARPAT and Atlasian uniforms. But are well highly respected towards both the nomadic villages and regular villages across Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Although, they to be transported somewhere due to the little radiation on their bodies. I've checked and they've been sent to Camp Bastion Medical Facility and they were discharged."
"Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan?" Weiss asked.
"That's the middle-east, Weiss." Blake explained.
All of a sudden, Tyrone and Andrew Fernandes ran in panting from running. "Dad! It's-oh yeah Yang I didn't see you." Tyrone said when he noticed Yang.
"Hey babe. You were saying?" Yang waved as Andrew continued for Tyrone.
"I just received a call from Carol back stateside! Mom and Ty's mom fainted!" This shocked both General Towson, Ajax, and Nora.
Ajax YEETs the British Royal Marine Private out of the way, "MOVE BITCH!!"
"Bloody hell!!" The private shouted as he flew and hit a few desks. "I'm okay!"
"What do you mean your mother fainted?!" Ajax yelled at his son shaking him.
Andrew pulled out his phone showing the picture, "Because this is what made them faint."
The picture was sent from Carol's phone and it showed both mothers on the floor mouths agape... with Anthony and David in the background.
The caption read, "Big bro and his friends are alive?! OMG!?"
Ajax looked at the picture... then backed away slowly and sat down on a chair. General Towson looked at the man concerned. "You alright?"
Ajax looks up at people around, "Alpha Platoon is alive..."
Everyone... was wide eyed shocked and surprised. Ryan, Anthony, David, Mari, Igor, Shino, Jie, Kang, Felix, Dae, Michael, Winter, Clover, Harriet, Marrow, Elm, and Vine are alive.
Miho, Ironwood, Sienna, and General Towson pulled out their own flasks and took a big drink of the liquor in it.
Nora, Ren, and Weiss were shedding tears.
Qrow was silent surprised by the fact, "...fuck me..."
Wayne shook himself and quickly dial-up his private military and security division for his high speed private jet that is on the same level as Air Force One. "This is Mr. Towson! I need my private plane and 50 of our best operators ready in the air in 15 minutes! I'm flying to America right now!"
"Yes sir, Mr. Towson." They said and hang up. Wayne looks at the others.
"Let's shake a people! We heading to Maryland!" Wayne said as ran out the bunker with Tyrone and Andrew following closely.
"What the hell!? How is that possible!?" Yang yelled as Qrow pulls out his backup flask and takes a swig.
"I don't know. But whatever it is, we'll find out. Follow money bags!" Qrow said as they left.
Ozpin and Glynda just sat there thinking, 'How is this possible? Alpha Platoon was killed in action. How can they be alive?'
----------------------------------------
On the runway at the Joint UNE Marine Corps/Atlas Military/White Fang Base, Teams RWBY and JNPR, General Towson, Lieutenant General Ajax Fernandes, Miho Nishizumi, Professors Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch, Ironwood, Qrow, Sienna, and Wayne were in a aircraft heading for the US.
"How the hell are they alive!?" Yang yelled as Qrow shrugged and took another drink.
"How the fuck am I supposed to know? All I'm guessing is that, either someone or something saved them." Qrow said as a thought popped in his head. "What if... what if someone saved them."
"That could be the case." Miho said, "I'm not an expert of the Middle Eastern Nomadic villages and tribes, but from what I know. The Nomads are one of the most kind, and gentle people around."
"True. The Nomads and the Regulars have a good relationship with each other." Wayne said, "The regulars are well respected and treated as equals by the Nomads. And the Nomads are welcomed and accepted by the regulars. The Nomads have a close relationship with the United States Marines, Army, and the US Air Force. So if they were to find the remains of Alpha Platoon, they will be treated well by the Nomads."
"I'm coming too." Called a femiane voice behind the group. She is in a one-piece red dress with white frills under the skirt and exposed shoulders, separate black sleeves with red and black bracers and a separate black skirt that covers most of the red one underneath. She wears a less bulky white cloak with a red inner liner, which is secured by a pair of black leather straps with leaf-shaped pins that attach to the cloak at the shoulders before crossing above her chest and eventually attaching to a set of thick black belts around her waist. She wore the same rose pendant that Ruby dons where the two straps overlapped above her chest. Covering her legs is a pair of grey leggings and on her feet is a pair of black high-heeled boots with red highlights.
This woman is Ruby's thought to be deceased mother and Yang's stepmother, Summer Rose.
Summer was found washed in the Pacific Ocean three months ago by Japanese, Mexican and American Navy, alive and unconscious. The only injuries she has are scars from cuts and torture wounds. Her aura was the one keeping her alive. When she was transported to the base, she was placed in a medical facility for a month. After being checked and scanned, she was cleared and allowed to walk and move.
When the news was heard that Ruby's mother was found, Yang was overjoyed, and so was Ruby, Qrow, and Taiyang. The five rushed to the medical facility, and when they saw Summer, they ran and hugged her tightly. She was just as surprised to see Ruby and Yang grown into young adults.
She was released and allowed to walk. Summer was able to see and meet her former teammates again. Well except Raven.
"Sum, you sure?" Qrow asked Summer, who nodded.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Those guys are my daughters idols. And we owe them." Summer replied.
"Mom. We're still glad that you're alive." Ruby said, happy that her mom is alive and well.
"Thanks sweetie. It's so great to be back."
"Yeah. Thanks mom." Yang added.
"It's great to see all of you together." Glynda commented, "We are truly bless-SWEET GRIMM THAT'S BIG AIRCRAFT!?!?" Glynda shouted as she saw the size of Wayne's private jet. It was a modified passenger and American version of the Antonov An-225.
"Damn. That's a big bird." Qrow commented.
"Yeah." Miho and Summer said in agreement.
"That's the biggest jet I've seen." Jaune commented.
"Wait, is that the same as the old 2027 Ukrainian An-225 Mriya?" Ajax asked.
"Yep." Wayne replied, "My company was able to convince the US government and the Ukrainian government to have a joint project to build a bigger version of the An-225 and to modify it to be an aircraft that is similar to Air Force One."
"That's really fucking big. What's it's cargo hold size?" Ironwood asked.
"250,000 kg(551,000 lb), and 400 passengers. As well as being capable of taking off and landing from runways that are 1829 meters(6000 ft). This one is more than capable of carrying two MBTs like the 70 ton M1A5 Abrams, and a 26 ton M2A9 Bradley IFV. It also has advanced countermeasures that I'm not going say out loud." Wayne explained.
"Why's that?" Blake asked.
"Well, this thing is basically an aircraft that is like Air Force One."
"Ah."
"But anyways. Less talking, more getting on the big plane that makes Weiss even more smaller."
"Hey!"
-----------------------------
8 hours later
Dulles International Airport, Northern Virginia, United States of America
"Woo! Finally in America!" Summer shouted as they got off the giant airplane.
"God, what a flight." Miho groaned.
"You alright?" Sienna asked Miho.
"I'm fine."
"Sorry for the seating. I wasn't aware they were going to replace them this week." Wayne said as a convoy of black SUVs and MRAPs pulled up. Including a APC. "Our rides here. I'll take us to Bowie, Maryland were my mother and father lives... it is also where myself, Anthony, and a few of my siblings were raised before we had to move to New York during WW3."
"I'll say." Qrow added.
"Come on. Let's go." General Towson said as a PMC opens the doors for the large group. "We have backup transport ready for the all of you. I've ordered our best drivers and the most advanced and bulletproof cars for the journey."
"Thank you, Mr. Towson." Summer thanked.
"You're welcome, Mrs. Rose. And please. Call me... actually just Towson."
"Wait, why?"
"Because my full name is Anthony Hudson Towson. My son Anthony's full name is Anthony Spain Liam Towson Jr." General Towson said revealing Anthony's full name and surprising some that Anthony has two middle names.
"Wait, his middle name is Spain?" Andrew asked.
"Yeah, but that's a different story. Now get on. We got a long drive."
The group quickly boarded the convoy of SUVs, MRAPs, and the APC, the tension and anticipation thick in the air. The drive from Dulles International Airport to Bowie, Maryland, though not overly long, felt like it dragged on for hours due to the mix of emotions everyone was experiencing. For some, it was the disbelief that their loved ones were still alive, and for others, it was the looming mystery of how it was even possible.
As the convoy rolled out of the airport, Team RWBY and JNPR, along with the military and PMC personnel, found themselves in quiet contemplation. Ruby, sitting next to her mother, held her hand tightly. Despite her usual upbeat personality, Ruby couldn't shake the heaviness in her heart. "How is it possible, Mom? Four months... and they're just... alive?"
Summer, though also puzzled, remained comforting. "I don't know, sweetheart. But we'll find out soon. We've been given a second chance to see them, and we should take it."
Yang, sitting across from Ruby, clenched her fists, her fiery temper just barely contained. The months of anger and loss had shaped her into a more hardened version of herself. "I'm going to punch that idiot Anthony for making us worry this long. Then I'll hug him." She glanced at her boyfriend, Tyrone, who had been staring out the window in silence.
Ren, who had been struggling with his emotions for months, sat next to Nora, his hand resting on hers. "I don't know how to feel about this," he muttered. "I want to be happy, but what if something happened to them... something changed them?"
Nora, her usual bubbly personality buried under months of grief, gave Ren a reassuring squeeze. "We'll handle it together. Whatever happened to them, we'll get through it."
In one of the other vehicles, Qrow leaned back, sipping from his backup flask, though more out of habit than actual need. "Damn," he muttered, watching the Virginia landscape go by. "This whole thing feels like a fairytale gone wrong."
Next to him, Wayne was on his phone, making sure everything was in order for their arrival. "I still can't believe they're alive," Wayne said to no one in particular, his voice tinged with relief and disbelief. "My brother... he's always been a tough son of a bitch, but surviving this? Even I have to admit this seems impossible."
General Towson remained silent, deep in thought. His years of service had taught him to expect the unexpected, but nothing in his long and decorated career had prepared him for this. The possibility of seeing his son alive again stirred emotions he had long since buried during the chaos of war.
The convoy continued through Maryland, passing by suburban neighborhoods, rolling hills, and patches of forested land. As they got closer to Bowie, the tension in the cars ramped up. People fidgeted, checked their phones, and exchanged nervous glances.
Eventually, they pulled into the long driveway of a large suburban house nestled within a peaceful neighborhood in Bowie. It was a sprawling three-story home, painted a warm shade of cream with a wide porch that looked like it had seen countless family gatherings. The front yard was well-kept, and despite the peaceful surroundings, there was an air of anticipation and tension.
General Towson was the first to step out of the vehicle along with Ajax. General Towson's wife, Rena, was already standing at the front door along with Ajax's wife Charlotte.
Both women have face a mix of joy and disbelief. Tears streamed down their faces as the latter clutched the doorway for support. Behind them playing UNO, was Alpha Platoon(Ryan, Anthony, David, Mari, Igor, Shino, Jie, Kang, Felix, Dae, Michael, Winter, Clover, Harriet, Marrow, Elm, and Vine). Alive, whole, and very much real.
Anthony and David after four months without shaving or haircut/trim
For a moment, time seemed to freeze for the two generals. General Towson stared at his son, and the rest of the convoy piled out of the vehicles, jaws dropping at the sight. Ruby, Yang, and the others felt a rush of emotions that was almost overwhelming.
"Anthony..." General Towson finally said, his voice thick with emotion.
"David..." Ajax said, his voice cracking with emotion seeing his first son alive.
"Dad..." Anthony stepped forward, looking battered but alive. "I'm here. We're here."
Wayne, still in shock, rushed forward and pulled his twin brother into a fierce hug. "You son of a bitch," Wayne muttered.
Tyrone also hugged the man happy that his older brother is alive, "You scared the hell out of us."
Kang, standing next to Anthony, had tears in his eyes as well. "It's a long story," he said quietly, "but we're alive."
Nora and Ren were the next to rush forward, tears streaming down their faces as they embraced Anthony and Kang, holding on to them as if they might vanish again.
Yang, holding back her own tears, marched up to Anthony and, true to her word, punched him in the shoulder. "That's for making us worry!" she said, her voice trembling. Then she hugged him tightly her eyes going back to their normal lilac color. "And this is for being alive."
Ruby stood back for a moment, watching the reunion, her eyes brimming with tears. She felt Summer squeeze her shoulder, and she finally stepped forward. "Anthony," she said softly, her voice breaking.
Anthony smiled at her, his own tears starting to fall. "Hey, Red Speeder," he said, using the nickname he'd given her months ago. Ruby rushed forward and hugged him tightly, crying into his chest.
The rest of the group followed, their disbelief slowly fading into joy and relief as they embraced the two survivors. Even Qrow and Miho, hardened as they were, couldn't hold back their emotions as they joined the reunion. With Miho hugging Winter glad to see her niece alive with Weiss following suit.
Ironwood noticed that Anthony's left brown eye is now pale white like his right eye. But what he really noticed was that Winter had an eye patch on her left eye. "What happened to your eye?"
"A piece of metal. Under this patch is just a destroyed eye and they sew it shut." Winter said pointing at her eye. Sienna and Ozpin were almost impressed.
Glynda and Summer felt bad for her.
As the weight of Winter's words settled in, a hush fell over the gathered crowd. Glynda stepped forward, her eyes filled with concern and sympathy. "Winter, I'm so sorry you had to endure that."
Winter offered a reassuring smile. "It's a small price to pay for making it back home. I'm just grateful we're all alive."
Weiss rushed to her sister's side, tears welling in her eyes. "I was so worried about you!" she exclaimed, embracing Winter gently to avoid aggravating any injuries.
Winter returned the hug warmly. "I'm here now, Weiss. And I intend to stay."
Ironwood approached Anthony, noting the change in his eyes. "Anthony, it's remarkable to see you. Your eye..."
Anthony gave a slight nod. "Like the other, didn't lose the sight in it. A souvenir from our little unplanned vacation."
Sienna crossed her arms, her expression a mix of respect and curiosity. "Surviving a nuclear blast and months in hostile territory... quite the feat."
Clover shrugged modestly. "Couldn't have done it without the team and the help of some good people along the way."
Glynda and Summer exchanged glances, both visibly moved by the hardships the group had faced. Summer stepped forward, her voice soft. "We're all so glad you're back. You've been through so much."
David smiled appreciatively. "Thank you. It's good to be back among friends and family."
General Towson cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention. "I think it's time we all went inside. There's much to discuss, and I believe these heroes could use a decent meal and some rest."
As they moved into the house, the atmosphere shifted from one of shock to one of warmth and relief. The spacious living room filled with conversations as everyone settled in. The aroma of home-cooked food wafted from the kitchen, where Rena and Charlotte were busy preparing a feast fit for a returning battalion.
Nora practically bounced with restrained excitement as she sat beside Anthony and Kang. "I can't believe you're actually here! We have so many questions!"
Ren nodded, his usual stoicism softened by a rare smile. "It's been a difficult few months without you."
Kang placed a reassuring hand on Ren's shoulder. "We're sorry for the worry we caused. Trust us, we were doing everything we could to get back."
Ruby leaned forward, eyes wide. "Tell us everything! How did you survive? What happened after the crash?"
Ryan, taking a sip of water, began to recount their journey. "After the crash, we were in pretty bad shape. We were found by a nomadic village who took us in and helped us recover."
Jie nodded in agreement. "They were incredibly kind. Without them, we wouldn't be here today."
Michael chimed in. "Once we regained our strength, we learned that Khalid al-Hassan was still alive and causing trouble. We couldn't let that stand."
The room grew quiet as they detailed the mission to track down al-Hassan, the battles they fought, and the ultimate confrontation that led to his demise. When they mentioned the involvement of Kane 'The Patriot' O'Donovan, a palpable tension filled the air. Mainly the ones from Earth.
Ajax's expression hardened. "Kane O'Donovan... we thought he was dead."
General Towson frowned deeply. "If he's alive and pulling strings again, that's bad news for all of us."
The mention of Kane O'Donovan, lingered in the back of everyone's minds.
Teams RWBY and JNPR, Qrow, Miho, Ironwood, Sienna, Summer, and Professors Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch were a bit confused on who O'Donovan is.
"Who's O'Donovan? And how bad is he?" Ozpin asked as Andrew and Tyrone pulled out their phones while General Towson went to his personal office in the house that had photos of the aftermaths he ordered the Ultranationalists to do during the war.
The two marines showed them news reports of his atrocities on their smartphones.

General Towson comes back from his office and places three folders with them saying "Kane 'The Patriot' O'Donovan's worse War Crimes".
Sienna was the first to open one of the files... she intensity regrets it at the photos her and the others are seeing. "H-How could anyone do this?" Sienna said as she sees a picture of a pile of mutilated civilians. Men, Women, Children. All of them had their stomach cut open, eyes gouged out, genitals cut off, limbs and hands missing, and their mouths cut wide open. 1,000 civilians had their throats cut and were left hanging on a flag pole upside down with a note reading 'This is the fate of those who defy me.'
Qrow puked in a trash can after seeing a photo of a woman with her face melted off, a baby with it's eyes and mouth sewn shut, a toddler with its limbs ripped off, a teenager with their hands and legs tied behind their back with their head blown open, and a child hanging upside down on a flag pole with their limbs torn off.
Miho's rage raised as she saw a few photos of women and children hung, gutted, and burned. All because of a man that has too much pride and power. Her grip tightens on her file, her eyes burning with hatred. "O'Donovan. You will pay for what you did." She growls as Ruby and Yang had their heads turned away, the contents of the file too horrific to look at.
Blake looked at one photo horrified. A nerve agent that turned humans into Faunus. During the South East Asia Theater in the war, a massive nerve toxin attack was deployed by the Ultranationalists on Loyalists areas. Most survived but the people developed animal or insect traits on their bodies, natural hair color changed to snow white, a longer lifespan, youth longevity, and heterochromia eyes, but the some had to cut off their ears due to it being a useless appendage for ones with animal ears. However, 1,248,032 weren't as lucky as they died. Most being from Indonesia and the Philippines. The chemical was also deployed in China and Russia, the former having a smaller population of 721,578 to 902,625. But the worst part is that it can cause infertility, sterility, and even kill those who had the trait of being a Faunus. Many died from the effects, some are the offspring of those who were exposed. It was a horrific weapon for any side, especially those who were innocent.
"How... How can one man do such horrible things to innocent people?" Summer said as she put and closed the file.
"This man O'Donovan is fighting his own war and he has no rules. No boundaries. He doesn't flinch at torture, human trafficking, or genocide. He's not loyal to a flag or country, only that he believes that he wish to return back to what they believe is a world before the modern age or better laws." General Towson explained. "A world with no advance technology, no laws, and no restrictions. A world where one can do as they please, no matter how immoral or unethical. His vision is the very definition of chaos, and he's more than willing to destroy millions of lives in pursuit of his twisted utopia. And people liked it. Which we call them the Ultranationalists. That's why he must be stopped. If he succeeds, the whole world would burn." General Towson said as everyone was silent. They can't imagine a world where one person can do anything and no one would stop him.
Ajax continues for him, "And since he's alive. He will have a new target." He looks at Non-Earthlings, "He will target Vale, Atlas, Vacuo, Menagerie, and Mistral, and try to overthrow their governments and install the Ultranationalist regime there. It will mean another global war and he will try to take the nations again. And if he success this time... we're all doomed."
"He will fail." Everyone turns to Anthony, his voice hard. "We will make sure he and his supporters will never achieve their goal." He said looking at his team and his adoptive sister Nora.
The solemn atmosphere in the room was palpable as Anthony's declaration resonated with everyone present. Nods of agreement echoed through the group, each person internally reinforcing their commitment to preventing another catastrophe.
Wayne stepped forward, his face set in determination. "We need to be proactive. We can't wait for O'Donovan to make the next move. We start preparing now, gather intelligence, increase our surveillance, and strengthen our defenses."
Ironwood, who had been coordinating with his military advisors via his scroll, looked up. "Atlas will provide whatever resources are necessary. We'll also enhance our security protocols and work closely with the other kingdoms and the UNE to form a united front."
Qrow, still visibly shaken by the horrific images and their implications, added, "And I'll contact Raven. If O'Donovan's as dangerous as he sounds, we'll need all the help we can get. She might not be everyone's favorite person, but she has resources that could be vital."
Summer, her resolve as strong as ever, spoke up. "I'll reach out to any former Huntsmen. Our abilities could be crucial in the coming conflict."
Sienna Khan, representing the White Fang, assured the group of her organization's support. "The White Fang will also stand with you. We've seen too much suffering caused by fanatics like O'Donovan. We'll do everything in our power to aid in his capture."
General Towson, looking over at his son and the others who had miraculously returned from what was assumed to be certain death, felt a renewed sense of purpose. "We'll coordinate with global military forces and intelligence agencies. This is bigger than any one group or nation. It's about preserving a future where such atrocities can never occur again."
Ruby, who had been quietly absorbing the gravity of the situation, finally spoke, her voice steady despite the turmoil around them. "We'll train harder, become stronger. We won't let him or anyone else bring that kind of darkness into our world again."
Yang, standing by her side, clenched her fists, her earlier rage now channeled into a fierce determination. "And when we find him, we'll be ready."
Professor Ozpin, who had been observing the interactions, gave a slight nod. "Let this be a moment of unity for all of us, for the sake of Remnant and beyond. We stand together against threats like O'Donovan, united in our resolve."
As the meeting concluded, the teams began to disperse to their respective tasks, each person or group with specific roles and responsibilities. The air was thick with the weight of what lay ahead, but also with a collective resolve to protect their world.
Outside, as the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the yard of the Towson family home, the members of Team RWBY and JNPR, alongside their allies, felt the enormity of their task. They were no longer just students or young fighters; they were key players in a global effort to thwart a resurgence of the darkest parts of human history.
And as they prepared to leave, General Towson placed his hand on Anthony's shoulder, a silent acknowledgment of his son's strength and the challenges they would face together.
With a deep breath, Anthony looked out towards the horizon, where the last light of day gave way to the coming night, and whispered, "For those we lost, for those we can still save, we fight."
And with that, they stepped into the gathering darkness, ready for whatever challenges awaited, united in their purpose and unyielding in their determination.
