Hello! My name is Catherine Victoria Christie, but my Russian name is Viktoria Fyodorova. I graduated with a degree in Creative Writing and a Minor in History in May 2023. I have been writing since fourth grade and am familiar with the writing process.

That said, I'm iffy with stories, shows, and movies about grief unless they're my own (they bring back too many painful memories of my brother) and the car crash cliché/trope (my brother did not die in a car crash). You can absolutely enter these stories in this award, but if they're too hard for me to read, I'll turn them over to my co-worker, Venator-TheThird. The only genre I don't read is Horror, so Venator has agreed to judge those entries. I ask that you guys respect my decision if your grief-based book is too hard for me to read. They and Horror will not go unattended—I promise. I hope to one day be strong enough to read and watch grief stories again, but I'm not right now. Thank you, Venator-TheThird, for helping!

Since this is a significant award, and I'm a Wattpad Creator with a job, a Featured opportunity on my Wattpad profile, and a community reviewer, there won't be any book reviews in this award. I'll burn myself out. Regardless, I'll judge and choose each winner very carefully. I'm not using AI technology to determine the winners—only my knowledge as a writer and reader. I ask that you guys please be patient with me.

For this first award, I will accept a maximum of seventy-five entries (including stragglers if applications come in quickly) in all genres: thirty-five for full-length novels, thirty for shorter works, such as One-Shots, Short Stories, Novelettes, and Novellas, and ten for Poetry. Ongoing stories may enter, too, as long as they're updated monthly.
