Emma Frost (source of telekinesis)

(Warren III's POV)Inside the Xavier Institute for Learners...

"...and the finished work should be done by morning. By the afternoon, you'll have your furniture." I finished explaining the school's details to Logan, who walked next to me and listened to everything I said about the reconstruction of the school, "Great." Logan nodded.

I explained further, asking, "So that's the top-to-bottom tour; what do you think?" I waited for his answer but didn't say anything, which got me worried that he was about to doubt the renovation of the school, so I pretended to whine about waking him up from his daze: "Ah, you don't look happy? Why aren't you happy?"

I frowned, only for Logan to close his eyes and reopen them before saying, "Ugh, sorry, Warren." He continued, "You know, new building, old ghosts." His comment made me feel guilty, understanding that Logan is immortal and has a problem with facing old ghosts and memories being lost because of the MRD, and Weapon X had taken a toll on his shoulders.

If only my father could let me be with the X-MEN, I would help anyone with or without powers. But anyhow, Logan then he turned back to me with a small smile and said, "But thanks, man." I felt proud of renovating the school again, especially with his gratitude: "Mhm, thank dear old dad. It's his money." I continued to explain, "Second thought, don't thank him. For some reason, he's under the impression that it is just a regular prep school."

"It's a Good thing the walls are nice and high," Logan said as we continued walking together until I paused and turned to him: "Now, to fill the campus, huh?" I joked and continued: "Which brings up the question? Rogue. Do you plan on getting her back?"

He shook his head, "No, not after she hung us out to dry." Logan confirmed, "The next move is hers." That's when Logan opened the door for me to exit, only for us to see Sasha right at the school's doorstep. My heart fluttered for her as I tried to deny my feelings for her back in college. But even so, I remember the day she rejected me.

The pain of rejection still hurts, but luckily, Sasha was the only human who cared about me, which is one reason we continued to stay friends: "Oh, hey, Warren." Sasha grinned.

"H-Hey, Sasha!" I continue to say as my nervousness takes over. 'Damnit, I cannot change my habit.' "What brings you here?" "Oh, I just came to see the renovations." Sasha answers: "Plus, I'm happy that Logan now doesn't have to sleep in my place anymore."

I blinked a few times before I turned and raised an eyebrow at Logan, "You slept at her place? That's new." I was pretty surprised by this revelation since Logan wasn't much for sleepovers until now.

(Narrator's POV): Earlier...

Over the next couple of weeks, Sasha's wrist began to heal like a 'normal human' when, in reality, she took off her particular device from behind her ear (since she had been tired of using it and took the cast on her wrist) and waited for it to recover without using it too much. Of course, Logan tended to her wrist a bit (he still doesn't know about her claws yet) by ensuring she wore the cast on her wrist with a bit of convincing.

Sasha gave up and let him be until he had to talk and deal with the X-MEN and Warren about the renovations. As soon as Sasha stopped in front of the broken-down gate being taken away by constructors, who then saw her and whistled at how hot she was, already having fun with their eyes on her, She drove inside the place and said:

"Morning, boys~." Sasha winked before getting off her motorcycle and parking it in front of the entrance door of Xavier Institute for Learners School, where she knocked on the door, which was only opened by Warren and Logan.

Now...

"Oh hey, Warren." Sasha grinned.

"H-Hey, Sasha!" Warren continues to say, "What brings you here?"

"Oh, I just came to see the renovations." Sasha answers: "Plus, I'm happy that Logan now doesn't have to sleep in my place anymore."

Warren raised an eyebrow at Logan, "You slept at her place?" He was surprised by this revelation since Logan wasn't much for sleepovers until now. Logan, for his part, tried to play it cool despite the unexpected revelation.

He scratched the back of his head and grumbled, "Yeah, had to, kid. Sasha's wrist needed some extra care, and I'm just good with first aid, ya know." He shrugged nonchalantly before winking at Sasha, who blushed a bit as Logan attempted to downplay the situation.

Sasha couldn't help but chuckle at their exchange. "Don't worry, Warren, it was 'purely' platonic. Just friends helping each other out," she added with a wink. Warren seemed to relax a bit, realizing that some romance was occurring between Sasha and Logan.

"Alright, alright," he said with a faint smile. "So, what do you think of the renovations so far? We're trying to make this place even better."

Sasha's eyes scanned the surroundings, taking in the changes: "It's looking good. She commented. "I can't wait to see the final result. This school has always had a special place in Logan's heart, and I'm excited to see it thriving."

Warren nodded, appreciating her sentiment. "We're glad to have you on the team, Sasha. It's been a while since I visited. You should stick around, and maybe we could also catch up on old times."

Sasha smiled warmly, feeling a sense of nostalgia about their time in college together, "I just might, Warren. But for now, I've got a quick errand for a bit, then I'll swing by again. Take care, you two." As she left the Xavier Institute, Logan watched as he could see Warren change his smile to a weak one by knowing that Sasha's friendship had been accepted instead of love being involved:

"Ya still like her, huh, kid?" Logan starts. "Sasha?" Warren wants to lie but can't, so he sighs in defeat. Well... yeah, I still do, but I have to move on. She has her life ahead, and I have mine, plus with her around, as the first human to join the X-MEN cause. Sasha would be able to negotiate the terms for peace if she keeps on helping out."

Sooner or later, an unexpected guest was there.

Sasha, on the other hand, finished her 'one quick errand' before driving the same way back to the Xavier Institute by bringing a small box of dreamcatchers, thinking it would be an excellent welcoming present for the X-MEN to have in each of their rooms: 'I hope the others don't mind about these things.' She thought.

Once she entered the school gates, Sasha parked her motorcycle, confused about why the entrance was blocked. She was soon met by a tall, beautiful woman with fair skin, pale blonde hair, and blue eyes.

Who possessed such a curvaceous figure and long, shapely legs? Her clothes include a white top, jacket, jeans, and belt. Making Sasha feel slightly jealous; why? Because blonde women tend to be bitchy towards brunettes like herself, Warren didn't notice this except Logan, who immediately started to glare:

"Yeah, I know who you are." Sasha heard him say, but before he could even say something else, she (Sasha) spoke up, "Hello, excuse me? She gets in between Logan and the blonde woman, "But who are you?"

Now it was Logan and Warren's eyes blinking at seeing Sasha, who was narrowing her brown eyes at the woman while holding her small box of dreamcatchers when, in return, the blonde woman turned around and smirked: "Emma Frost, a pleasure to meet you."

Sasha smiled at her before shaking her hand. " It's a Pleasure to meet you, then, Ms. Frost." She continued and let go of her hand: "I'm Sasha Ross."

"Ah~ so you must be the 'disowned' youngest daughter of General Ross that became secret friends behind daddy's back?" Emma jokingly but rudely says before Sasha could get ready to snap at the woman, she was pulled inside the Xavier Institute before defending her behind his back. It snapped Warren out of an 'in love' trance, noticing how Logan protected Sasha as if he were her boyfriend.

As for Sasha, she blushed in disbelief but frowned, as she was still known to be General Ross's disowned youngest daughter; however, she remembered that her father had forgiven her and added her to the family again.

So, she grinned because Sasha hadn't told the others about her returning to the family.

Back to the story, she's still watching Logan, who death-glared at the blonde, "Watch it. He growls, "The question is, Why are you here?" "Defensive and~ right to the point. Emma inches closer to Logan before saying, "I like that. I've decided to join the X-MEN." After hearing her words, Sasha scoffed at this point before stepping in front of Emma and pointing at her:

"Decided my foot; you aren't going to join." Sasha spoke up, when all of a sudden, Emma smirked before staring into her brown eyes as she entered her mind to talk privately together:

'~Oh, I see you don't know what I'm capable of; well then, I suppose your secret 'claws' do ring a bell?' When Emma told her this, Sasha's eyes widened and cringed a bit, taken aback by realizing that Emma Frost was a telepath. 'Shit...You're a telepath!'

'Indeed, Miss Ross. Emma telepathically tells her: 'I am indeed a telepath, which means I can see through your mind. Hmm~ you're wearing something behind your right ear; how do I put this? With that "Special D5" device you previously used, you are still using it to protect your secret mutation from the rest of the world.'

'Look, I don't care if you're a telepath, but I would very much appreciate it if you would not go through my mind. It is very private.' Sasha warns that she has never felt so scared of a telepath, knowing she was at Emma's mercy rather than being brave.

She did not have a choice. 'Do you agree with me joining the team? I'll keep your little secret.~' Emma hushedly but mentally tells her, as Sasha glares: 'And if I refuse?...'  Sasha hesitantly questions the telepath's offer.

'If you disagree with me being on the team, I'll reveal it. You would not like that, would you?~' Emma spoke through her mind. At this point, Sasha's body was so angry that she tightened her hands into tight fists, '...No.' 'Hmph, that is what I thought...coward.'

"Stop talking to her mind, bub." Logan interrupts their telepathic conversation with a warning, already protective of Sasha. No one knows this, but Emma Frost is the first mutant to know of Sasha's secret powers, not just Betty and her dad. This situation will be difficult for Sasha to handle:

"I wish I could punch you." Sasha growls, making Emma lightly chuckle at her 'weak' threat:

"I would love~ to see you try." The conversation is cut short when Sasha walks away from Emma Frost, not knowing that Logan crossed his arms, and says, "Well, here's my decision. He walks up to Emma and bluntly says: "No."

And before he could follow Sasha, Emma said by looking over her shoulder, "If you know who I am, then you're aware that I never came empty-handed." Logan stopped walking away and turned around: "And what could you offer the X-MEN besides trouble?"

Emma smirks, "I could find Professor Xavier for you." Finding Professor Xavier immediately brought Warren to the school, but they had other duties as a rich man. As for Logan, who told him that he would bring Sasha inside.

Somewhere in the school's gardens, Logan looks for Sasha and sniffs the air to smell vanilla straight ahead. He gets a slight deja vu of the scent before he gets closer and finds her on the ground with her knees in front of her chest while hugging them. Sasha had a sour expression, and her brown eyes stared at the view.

Logan approached Sasha carefully, his gruff exterior showing a rare glimpse of concern. He knelt beside her and said softly, "You okay, bub?" He placed a hand on her shoulder, offering some reassurance. Sasha sighed and glanced at Logan, her expression softening a bit. "I'm just... so tired of all this," she admitted, her voice wavering with frustration: "Everyone wants something from me, and it's just overwhelming." Logan nodded, understanding her.

He'd been through enough in his long life to empathize with being used or sought after: "I get it, Sasha. He kneels beside her so she can glance at him, "But sometimes, we gotta face the world and do what's right, even if it ain't easy."

Sasha looked up at Logan, her brown eyes filled with vulnerability and determination: "I know, but I don't want to be just a pawn in someone else's game."

"You ain't just a pawn, Sasha." Logan smiled faintly, his rugged features softening: "You're a fighter, and you got people here who'll have your back. We'll figure this out... together." He held her hand, making Sasha look directly at Logan; her cheeks turned pink, and she nodded, appreciating the support.

However, she knew that the Xavier Institute and the X-Men were her best chance at understanding and controlling her powers; even if she hid it from Logan, she couldn't risk telling anyone just yet. She needed time to adjust and see where the next few months would happen:

"Okay, Logan... Let's go find Blonde bitch, and see what she's got to say before I do something stupid." With that, Logan helped Sasha to her feet, and together, they headed back to confront Emma Frost and learn more about her offer to find Professor Xavier. A couple of walks later, Warren was waiting for them.

Logan frowned that he left the unwanted telepath guest inside with the others, which, of course, Sasha silently told him that she'd go inside to keep an eye on Emma. He was grateful as he went to talk to Warren: "Maybe she's telling the truth." Warren starts, "Working on some angle is more like it."

She makes her old best friend sigh in defeat but shakes hands with Logan: "Anyway, thanks again, Warren." "No problem, and um... could you do me a favor?" He asked, "Is it about Sasha?" Warren nodded: "Make sure she doesn't do anything reckless. She's capable of scaring people." He enters his red sports car and drives off. Logan grunted before he waved goodbye and turned around to walk inside.

Back in the Xavier Institute for Learners, living room...

Sasha enters the room, where the piano is displayed near the window, and goes up to the telepathic blondie: "If you want to stay, you can, but you need to make sure and promise me that you won't spill, clear?" "Oh, with utmost manners, I will not spill anything." Emma smiles slightly, making the 'hidden mutant' narrow her eyes until she hears Hank/Beast enter the room: "I understand you have information about Professor Xavier."

Scott, Kitty, and Logan enter the room. "We'll see about that." Logan continues, "This is Emma Frost, former headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy."

Kitty crosses her arms, "Hmph, never heard of it." "Same." Sasha agreed. Emma narrows her eyebrows at the two women, whereas Logan puts both fists on his waist and tells them: "It was a secret little school that tried to imitate Xavier's Institute." He explains.

"Copying someone's school with a different title isn't something I would want to do or go to, either," Sasha scoffed.

"That's one of the little things I thought you might say, Sasha Ross." Emma grinned, which Logan growled in response to Emma's grin, but Sasha calmed him down, assuring him she could handle her battles. The others were curious about Logan's behavior, but Sasha placed a hand on his arm, and he relaxed.

As she stood next to Logan's right side to ensure that he doesn't protect her when she can do it herself: "I didn't realize Charles Xavier held a monopoly on helping young mutants. Let alone let a 'human' enter the school." She cocked an eyebrow, which infuriated Logan much worse:

"Leave Sasha alone." Kitty defends Sasha. "Yeah, but you didn't help them." He angrily says, "You taught them how to bully." Emma's face contorted into a frown as she turned to face the large window. Regardless of how some of my students may have behaved," she explains before placing a hand on one of the pillars, "I built the school for all the right reasons."

Logan raised an eyebrow and asked, "Yet, you closed it down. Why?" Sasha was curious as well. She wondered why this telepathic woman had closed her Mutant academy. Emma snapped, "That is not your concern." The rest of the team gasped in disbelief at Logan's behavior, except for Kitty, Sasha, and Logan, who pointed to the door and said, "Then we're through talking. There's the door."

Emma stared at him briefly before sighing in defeat, already guessing it wouldn't work or end well: "My students suffered greatly at the antimutant crusaders." She crosses her arms over her chest by showing her blue eyes, so saddened by the mention of the MRD targeting mutants: "It's difficult to carry on teaching when your children are taken from you."

For once, Sasha already felt a bit guilty for Emma; Yet, she may as well hate her for being on her mercy because of the secret earlier, and Emma knows that Sasha doesn't believe in her acting skills. However, it doesn't mean that Sasha didn't understand what it felt like to be taken from someone. Sasha had already experienced it. The day that Erika's dad got taken to the torture room was enough to know the fear of how someone would lose a family member.

She grips a fist before she hears Emma's voice turning sadder, placing her delicate hands on the piano and saying, "So I closed my school to try to do it alone...." 'For once, I want to believe you, but how can you when you still want to make my life harder with my secret?' Sasha thought, 'Because I want to ensure I don't have to act like I am doing right now.' Emma returns it with a reply in her mind, making Sasha secretly glare at her: "I miss my teachings and being part of a team."

"But why this team?" Logan gruffly asked. "Because we need each other." Those words hit a guilty nerve on the X-MEN, but the Wolverine had none of it, "Heh, that's one big assumption, lady." He smirks and crosses his arms. Emma, however, stood confidently atop the piano, her eyes fixed on the X-MEN as she spoke: "The simple fact is that you cannot operate Cerebro without a telepath," she explained, causing Hank/Beast to furrow his eyebrows at Logan's lack of concern for an intruder using the powerful machine.

"What's a 'Cerebro'?" Sasha asked, confused by the term. "I know it means brain in Spanish, but is it some sort of... scientific ritual?" Her question caused Bobby and Kitty to snort and giggle, but they quickly stopped when Hank shot them sternly. "I created it, Ms. Ross," he replied, approaching her to explain further, making Sasha quickly apologize for being rude.

Meanwhile, Logan wasn't interested in giving Emma access to Cerebro. "It was destroyed in the blast," he huffed, rejecting her request. Of course, it was a lie; Cerebro was nearly fixed as if it almost bought Sasha and Emma into it until the blonde raised an eyebrow with a sly smirk. Already knowing Logan wouldn't let her.

"Its repairs are nearly complete." Emma smiled, handing her card to him. Ring me when it's ready." She walked away after leaving Logan hanging in disbelief that Sasha decided to escort her out. "I'll escort you out."

"Oh? How kind of you, 'human'."

"Don't push it." Both equally do not like each other.

To be continued...
