---
Shōki's head flicked upwards, the knocking triggering a simple response. "They're here."
"Change of plans," Shigaraki rasped, nodding towards Kurogiri. And, in the blink of an eye, the entire floor was enveloped in a purple, swirling portal.
Bakugou's eyes widened as he - along with the chair he was bound to - fell through the ground, appearing elsewhere.
The blonde groaned as he hit cold concrete, a shiver travelling down his spine. With sudden force, he was heaved upwards by none other than Midoriya, who paid him no mind.
"Izuku...," Bakugou whispered. He, however, continued to ignore the blonde, much to his dismay. "Please...," he continued. "Stop doing this."
Shōki glanced down at him before setting him on the ground, allowing Bakugou to fully take in his surroundings.
Bakugou's throat was dry, and his attention was drawn by the area around him. "Where...?"
"Our other hideout," Shōki simply stated, standing by the chair. And, although unsatisfied by his response, Bakugou didn't push further, and instead glanced at the League's erratic leader.
Shigaraki paced back and forth, fingers scratching at his neck. "This isn't what was supposed to happen. We were supposed to win." He growled, glancing around before spotting a chair. He kicked it with sudden and extreme force, sending the broken pieces flying across the room.
"Tomura Shigaraki-" Kurogiri began, but he was cut off by Shigaraki's anger.
"Shut it!" he barked. "If I had my way, I would've thrown you out long ago!" The man mumbled to himself, heaving.
"Shigaraki," Shōki spoke, heads turning towards him. "If I may, things could've turned out much worse. Thanks to our planning ahead, however, we were able to escape." Bakugou hadn't noticed it before, but Izuku seemed different in some way.
"But-"
Shōki dared to interrupt the man-child. "Shigaraki," he pressed, "This is the best outcome other than our goal. Now, we have more time to formulate a plan and there's no possible way of the heroes locating us. At least not quickly, anyways."
Shigaraki sighed. "Fine. I guess you're right, Toc."
Bakugou glanced around, bewildered. Toc?!
"As long as we lay low, we should be fine. Though," Toc's eyes trailed towards him, "It may be difficult due to our little issue."
Bakugou's mouth fell open, when he noticed the piercing blue that stared back at him. Those, most definitely, were not Midoriya's eyes.
"Who the-"
"I'm Toc," Toc said coldly. "I don't care to explain at the moment. You're not worth my time."
Bakugou's mouth snapped shut, unable to believe such comments came from Midoriya. Even before, when he was acting villainously, his comments had emotion behind them. But now they were almost empty.
"So," Dabi asked boredly, "What's the plan now?"
"Yeah!" Twice piped up, his voice dropping as he continued. "I don't really care."
Everyone glanced at Toc, which almost came as unsurprising to Bakugou. After all, Izuku had always been good with leadership when it really counted.
"Well," Toc said, raising his head. "For now, we shouldn't make any moves."
"What kind of plan is that?!" Spinner groaned.
"No, no," Mr. Compress said. "It makes sense. After all, we wouldn't want to be caught."
Dabi smirked. "I wouldn't expect that from someone like you."
Mr. Compress sighed. "I suppose I see what you mean. However, I'm not stupid."
"And after that, Shōki~Kun?" Toga asked.
Toc pushed up imaginary glasses. "I'll make adjustments to our original plans. But for now..." His sharp eyes pierced Bakugou, sending a chill down his spine. "We'll likely have to find a way to get rid of the blonde."
---
Bakugou's blood ran cold and throat dry. He was unable to speak no matter how much he tried.
"After we went through all that trouble capturing him?" Toga sighed. "Well," she perked up, "If there's blood involved, I guess it's okay!"
Toc sighed. "I suppose it's unfortunate given our efforts. However," he raised his head, "It must be done if we wish to remain safe."
"Fine," Shigaraki grumbled. "I don't care at this point. Bargaining with the kid is useless."
Bakugou's eyes darted around, begging for anyone else to speak.
Toc glanced at Toga, nodding. In response, the girl grinned, skipping towards Bakugou. In one swift motion, she grabbed and unsheathed a knife, eyes wild.
"Wow, Deku," Bakugou laughed, the words slipping out.
Toc narrowed his eyes. "Stop," he instructed Toga, causing the girl to sigh.
"Fine...," she mumbled, turning back and pouting.
Bakugou raised a brow, mocking Midoriya's alter ego. It took everything inside of him to keep himself from shaking. "I never knew you could be so weak as to have someone else kill for you."
Toc's eye twitched.
"I mean," Bakugou threw his head back. "I knew you were bad, but jeez! Not this awful," he chuckled.
Although Toc's voice seemed unshaken, his body emanated pure rage. "Toga," Toc said, causing the girl to grin curiously.
"Mhmmm?" Toga giggled.
Toc narrowed his eyes. "Bring me your knife."
Bakugou gulped, while the rest of the villains stared on curiously.
Toga's eyes lit up, a squeal escaping her lips. "Gladly!" She grinned, skipping over to the boy and smiling at him.
Toc held out his hand, and Toga gently placed the knife in his palm before curling his fingers.
"Take good care, Shōki~Kun!" she giggled.
Toc glanced down at the knife in his hand before raising his eyes towards Bakugou. "This is what you wanted, isn't it?" he grinned slightly.
Bakugou squirmed slightly. Even the villains seemed nervous. "Oh, so you've finally grown a pair, eh?"
Toc spun the knife in his hand. "Just know, this is your doing."
His heels clacked against the floor as he neared Bakugou, the blonde becoming more anxious by the second.
Bakugou continued mocking him. "I never thought I'd see an ounce of confidence on you, Deku." After receiving no response, he continued. "You used to be a useless bug I could crush under my heel."
Toc met Bakugou's eyes. "Look who the bug is now," he replied simply yet sharply.
Bakugou grinned, narrowing his eyes. "That may be true, but you're still weak. Turning towards such a useless bunch of losers to make yourself feel better."
Toc's eyes became wild - an unusual occurrence for such a character. "Well," he said, stopping right before Bakugou's chair.
Bakugou's breath hitched, the sound of his erratic heartbeat filling his eardrums.
A grin spread across Toc's face as he leaned towards Bakugou, breath tickling his skin. "What a shame. We could've joined forces and been more powerful than anyone."
Bakugou's heart stopped. Or, it felt as if it had.
"However, I guess it wasn't meant to be. And," he smiled sadistically, causing Bakugou's hair to stand as the boy's voice brushed past his ears. "Looks like you'll be my first kill, huh, Kacchan?"
