∆ Avery's POV ∆

Austin and i finally reached school. And gladly, we're early by 20 minutes i think?

I was about to enter the gate but Austin grabbed my shoulder. He was smirking.

Oh shoot.

I know that flippin smirk.

"How bout...we skip school?" Austin suggested still smirking.

I was shocked honestly. Austin and i only skipped school once! Well...maybe twice. But it was 2 years ago!

"How bout....no" i said the last word sternly. I mean, I'm getting really low grades and i don't want to disappoint my parents. Oh who am i kidding?! I already disappointed them! Austin pouted really  cutely at me

"Come on, Avery. Please please please please please please—" i got a little annoyed. I know he isn't gonna stop until i yes.

"OKAY OKAY! Now will you please shut the hell up?!" I said triggered at his silly doings. He smiled widely at me and pulled me away from the gate of our campus.

"Where are we going Austin?" I asked getting curious.

"Secret" he said. I can still see him smiling even though i can only see the back of his head.

It's like this bond we share as best friends. What he feels, i feel. If he dies, i die. He jumps of a building, i jump off a builing.

We're bestfriends but somehow on a different surface. We live life together side by side. I know, it's crazy because vecuase it doesn't make any sense

We reached this kinda like forest thing. And it looks so familiar.

"Where are we?" I asked getting scared and curious at the same time.

"You'll see" he chuckled and we continued walking. Straight into the forest.

We were silent. This awkward but peaceful silent. But i stopped walking when i finally know where we are.

We're at the cliff spot. The one that we've been yesterday when Austin surpised me.

How do i know? Cause everything's still in place! Austin didn't clean up. Not even one single chrismas light!

That lazy greek god of cuteness.

"This place —" i said but Austin cut me off

"It's clean you know! The things aren't just touched. I hired a cleaner to clean this place everyday." He laughed. Is he serious?! He could just- you know..- ugh nevermind!

I shake my head and i continue to walk forward. Taking a look at everything.

Oh hey, would you look at that. There's fresh foods at the mini setup.

I looked back at Austin and i see him smiling at me.

"Hey dude, I'm not toxic. You can come near me" i practically said to Austin which made me laugh a little bit. I turned my back and faced the cliff. You know, i think all i need is 15 steps and im at the end of the cliff.

I hear him laugh too. And i hear his footsteps coming near me

"I know, i just want to look at you from there" he said pointing at the spot he was at

I blushed but i shake it away.

"Ha ha Austin" i said with a sarcastic laugh.

"Im serious" he said looking at me with a straight face.

I swallowed hard. He can't be. We're bestfriends. We aren't anything else. He keeps it that way, i keep it that way. I nodded and took three steps forward with Austin beside me.

"Avery?" He said calling my name

"Yeah?" I asked and looked at him directly. His jaw tensed. And he closed his eyes.

"Do you....d-do you have feelings for me?" He asked completely out of nowhere! I started to panic.

He can't know that i have feelings for him. It'll ruin the friendship that we have.

I sighed and walked towards the end of the cliff and i sit down at the edge letting my feet dangle down.

"Come here" i said calling Austin patting the space beside me. He walked towards the end and sat down beside me.

"S-so..d-do you have feelings for me?" He asked once more. I can see his hands shaking.

I want to be honest with Austin. I mean, You Only Live Once right? But i don't want to destroy anything

"What are you talking about Austin? You're  my bestfriend" i nervously chuckled

I want to take back everything i said because i was hella embarrassed. But it felt right.

"How bout you, Austin? Do you have feelings for me?" I asked. I know, I'm crazy

"You're my bestfriend Avery" he said looking at the view in front of us.

So i guess that's a no...

"Remember when we were 13?" He asked out of nowhere

What? When we were 13?That's the year we pretended to be married. I know, it was a silly and childish thing to do even though we were already 13. We even had a ceremony and a reception.

"That's the year we got married" he laughed at the memory.

"Yeah. It was childish. We were already 13 at that time" i added chuckling.

He laughed and then he stands up. I looked at him and he offered his hand to pull me up. I grabbed his hand and i allowed him to pull me up. We walked atleast 3 small steps away from the edge of the cliff.

He laughed and he kneeled down infront of me with one knee.

"Will you marry me again, Avery Sophia Harper?" He smiled at me.

Is he for real?? We're already teenagers! But....like i said YOLO. I can manage to play marriage again.

"Yes!" I said and he hugged me.

"C'mon" he said and we started to walk away from the cliff and we left the forest.

"Where are we going now, Mr. Austin Connor?" I asked Austin laughing.

"You'll see, soon to be Mrs. Connor" he said.

I blushed madly. For real! I keep on reminding myself that this is fake.

Okay Avery, this is fake, this is fake, this is fake, this is fake!

We reached this beutiful garden type of landscape that looks familiar. It took my breath away. It was fvcking mind blowing! Sorry.

"Where are we?" I asked Austin smiling

"You probably don't remember. This is the place where we got married when we were 13" he said facing me.

"How? This place was nothing but a clear opening filled with grass" i stated and he laughed at my reaction

"They made it beautiful" he said and we continued walking. We stopped in front of guy.

The guy was wearing some fake priest clothes.

"Hey trevor" Austin said greeting the guy and they did a handshake

"Let's begin the ceremony?" He asked and Austin nodded.

Austin and i faced each other. And i was smiling uncontrollably.

"Do you...Avery Sophia Harper take Austin Zachary Connor as your blah blah blah sorry i don't know what the next thing is" he said looking us.

I laughed. I laughed so hard that i had to let go of Austin's hand. I clutched my stomach and i let out a silent laugh and threw my head back.

"Hey, Avery. You do know that i still need your answer right?" Austin said laughing a little bit.

"Yeah yeah give me a minute" i barely said in between laughs.

After a few seconds, my laughter died down.

"I do" i said smiling again.

"And do you...Austin Zachary Connor take Avery Sophia Harper as your blah blah blah sorry again" Trevor said and i was about to laugh but Austin didnt let me by covering my mouth and standing close to me.

Really, really, really close that our noses touch.

"I do" he stared at my eyes still not moving away from me

"Welp. You may now kiss the bride" Trevor said smiling at the sight of us.

"Um...austin?" I said but it was muffled cause Austin's hand is still covering my hand so it came out as 'uuuh...ushtin?'

Once he heard me speak he moved away his hand but he still hasn't moved away. Not even a single step.

The kiss the bride thing. Last time he kissed my forehead. Yeah...he couldn't even manage to kiss my cheek -_-

I was shocked at his sudden movement.

He pecked my lips.

Yes it only lasted for about 2 seconds but hell, it sent sparks all over me.

He finally moved away and he was shocked too.

"I-im sorry...i....it was....i don't kn-know what came over me....i-it..i-i was supposed to kiss your forehead" he stuttered.

"Hey, calm down dude" i said trying not to freak out.

"Y-yeah. Sorry" he said and he smiled.

"That....was the most romantic shit ever!" Trevor said smiling widely with his voice shaking.

"You got it man!" He said patting Austin's back

We got back to our houses at 12:00. The time that our parents aren't home (dont think dirty peeps)

Austin said to meet up at our favorite park at 12:10. So all i did was brush my hair and take some important stuff.

I took 10 dollars from my piggy bank ran outside locking the door.

I started to walk. Shit, this is gonna take 10 minutes. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and i decided to scroll through my instagram.

"Hm" i sighed when i saw nothing interesting to see or like.

I closed my eyes and i let some memories flod over.

• FLASHBACK •

"c'mon Austin!" I whisper-yell at him.

Tonight we decided to break in school so we can vandalize Kylie's locker.

"Alright alright" he said and he pulled out a can of silly strings. We're gonna use it to block the security cam.

"Do you know how stupid this is?!" I whisper yell again.

"Oh, it's really stupid" he said scoffing. 

I removed a hair pin from my hair and picked the lock. Once it was open my heart started to beat rapidly.

This is stupid. This is beyond stupid. This is really stupid!

Austin was the first to come in and i heard the hissing of the spray can so i went in.

We crouched and walked slowly so our footsteps would be really light.

We reached a corner. And Austin sprayed the can once more blocking the camera.

"Do you know that we'll be screwed if they find out who vandalized Kylie Wedner's locker!" I whispered to Austin with a strong tone.

"IF they find out" Austin said emphasizing the 'If'

I let out a sharp breath and opened up my bag pulling out a violet spray can.

What word will i use? Hmmmm...slut? Bitch? Whore?

Oh wait. I smirk and i shake the can in my hand walking towards her locker and i started to spray

I sprayed all across her locker.

I turned to Austin and i see him shaking a spray can in his hand looking at the word that i sprayed.

"Hm. Not bad, atleast it's not that harsh" he said shrugging.

I laughed.

This isn't as bad as i thought...this is actually fun.

"Hey, do you know her locker combo?" I asked Austin putting back my violet spray paint inside my bag.

"Yeah, it's 1824" he said looking around.

"How do you know?" I asked.

It's very unusual to give your loker combo to someone...why would she give hers to Austin?

"Heh, she's a slut" he stated and he stands up unlocking her locker.

"Im gonna borrow your silly string" i said walking over Austin's backpack opening it and getting the spray can

"Sure" he said and he steps aside.

I started to spray inside her locker, letting the strings get stuck everywhere in her locker.

"Smart move" Austin laughed and he threw Kylie's mirror that was sticking in her door.

He ripped pictures and he drew doodles.

I have to admit...this is the greatest day ever.

• END OF FLASHBACK •

I finally arrived at the park. I took in a deep breath and walked in the gates.

"Hey cool girl!" I heard somebody shout. I just walked straight and i didn't care.

"The one with the crop top!" Somebody shouted once more and it made me look.

I looked around and i saw a cute, hot skater guy.
I think he's around my age...

He was smiling at me and he started to skate...TOWARDS ME

He reached me and he got off his board and he flashed a smile

"Hey" he greeted

"Uh...hey?" I greeted back in confusion

"I'm Alec" he said reaching his hand infront of me for me to shake.

"Avery" i said shaking his hand but i quickly pulled away.

"You look cool by the way" he complimented on me. Is he serious?

Ohmygod. A cute, hot skaterboy complimented on me.

"Thanks" i managed to say and i smiled at him.

"Do you skate?" He asked pointing at his board.

"No" i said shaking my head

"You should try" he said hopping back on his board and he started to skate around me.

"Is that suppose to impress me?" I chuckled looking at him skating.

"Yeah" he said and he stopped in front of me.

"Zoomer?" I said.

Stranger Things is getting in my veins today.

"You watch Stranger Things??" He asked surprised

"Yeah! Who doesn't?" I scoffed at him

"HEY ALEC!" i heard somebody call him.

Both of our heads turned right to the boy near the skating rink. The boy motioned alec to come over and alec sighed.

"Well...see you around Avery" he said about to skate away but he waited for my reply.

"See you around" i finally said and he skated away.

"Hey Avery" i heard a familiar voice said and i instantly turn around.

"What's up, Austin?" I said instantly regretting it.

He'll say 'the sky' in...

3...

2...

1...

"The sky" he laughed pointing up.

"I knew it!" I said and i punch his shoulders but it only resulted of him hugging me.

Once more...

Sparks spread all over my body
