I still remember that day, the day that my bestfriend, Austin Connor-decided to leave me for his non-good friends.

Tears stream down my face. At the memory. I wish i could just forget it. Forget everything, Forget him.

But even if i tried, it was no use. So might as well live with this.

(A/N: the words in the squiggly lines are what happened a few days after Austin left Avery so dont get confused guys)

∆ Avery's POV ∆

My annoying alarm clock rang at exactly 6:30. Oh flip, it's monday. The most annoying day in the week.

I got up and turned off the alarm clock. I walked to the bathroom to do my daily morning routine.

Which is taking a shower, brushing my teeth, washing my face and peeing.

"Avery!" I heard a familiar male voice call my name. And i smiled, it's Austin.

Austin and I are best friends. To be exact,we've been bestfriends since we were 5. We made our own rules and we do crazy things together. We're unseparable. We get along with everything. And he's just...i dont know, Perfect?

I picked my clothes. Hm, you know how highschool works. You have to look good infront of everybody else so you can maintain you social standings. So i decided to wear the black t-shirt Austin gave to me, skinny jeans, a red and black patterned flannel around my waist, and Blue converse.

I was about to tie my hair when Austin came in my room without knocking.

"What's taking you so long?" He asked playfully annoyed

"Austin chill the fudge down. It's just 6:47" i said and i chuckled at him.

He just shrugs his shoulders and lies down my bed.

"You still need to hurry up" he said and i just laughed and shake my head

I tied my hair, high ponytail as always

"Wait a second, you're wearing my black tshirt" he said while examining the tshirt that im wearing

"So?" I asked laughing a little bit.

"Nothing. Im just glad that you decided to wear it" he smiled. Like a big one.

"Whatever." I said smiling, too. I grabbed my bag and slung it on my shoulder using only one strap. That's how the cool kids do it ;)

"C'mon, let's go" i said and i pulled him off my bed and pushed him out off my room.

"Jeez, chill" he laughed.

We walked downstairs and i said goodbye to mom. Dad isn't here because he's on a business meeting, he always is.

"Bye, mom. Love you!" I said to mom

"Bye, sweetheart. See you later, oh and by the way-" she paused and walked out of the kitchen

"Take good care of her will you, Austin?" She said to Austin.

I blushed. Practically embarrassed. But ya know, i shrugged it off and didn't mind it. We're bestfriends, so its normal to look after each other.

"I will, promise" Austin said smiling

"Now you kids go on now, you'll be late for school" mom said and we walked out the door and started walking to school.

I mean, how can we be late?! It's still like, 7:04 in the morning! School doesn't start until 8:00

"It's too early!" I complained

"Oh come on, Avery. It's not that early. Think of the bright side. Our teachers won't get pissed off at us cause we aren't late" he said

That's what i like about Austin. He makes everything positive. Even though waking up so early isn't that much of a big deal.

We arrived school for about 20 minutes.
God, walking is terror.

"Well, see you later at class. I gotta go and meet up with -" i didn't even let him finish.

I slammed my locker door, pretty hard.

"Yea sure." I simply said trying to keep my chill.

Because you see, i am very pissed off at Dylan at Ryan. They're the guys that Austin's gonna meet up later. I hate them because they're jerks. I don't know, I JUST HATE THEM SO MUCH.

Austin looked at me. Guilty.

"Look, Avery. I promise that -" i cut him off, again.

"I said it's fine, Austin. Just go" i said and i walked away.

I just didn't want to deal with this issue. We'll probably be fine later at class, or at lunch.

Well, since im super early. I decided to hang around the hallways. Yea, just the hallways. This is where most of the students hang out. With their friends, or might as well say their groups.

Ya know, the nerds hang out there near the library, the popular bitches hang around near Austin and his own group.

And now, I'm still looking for my own group.

The students here, consider me as the 'Cool' girl. And my social ranking is the 4rth one. Which is pretty close to the most popular.

I found a chill place where my kind, AKA the hipsters. Hang out. It's near the cafeteria.

It's really wide here. And calm. Really really calm.

"Uhh...hey Avery" one of the boy hipsters greeted me.

"Oh hey" i greeted him back. Talk about awkward.

"Im Tyson, by the way" he said introducing himself.

"I never see you come here in the morning" he added

"That's because im always late." I laughed a little bit.

"Well that explains it." He smiled

Too be honest, he's kinda cute. But sadly, i don't think he has any classes with me. Hahaha

I think he's a year older. Yea, maybe he is. Never mind, i don't have any time to think about that.

The bell rang indicating that classes will be starting. Well, so much for coming here. (Note the sarcasm)

I walked over to the stairs, cause ya know, my homeroom is on the second floor.

Then, somebody grabbed my arm.

"The hell?!" I exclaimed and i turned around.

"Hey, calm down. I just wanna talk to you" Austin said. AKA the guy who grabbed my arm.

"Yea sure. But you better make it quick" i said. See? I told you guys we would be fine.

"Whatever might happen...i just want you to know that...i did it for a reason" he said acting strange. And i laughed, yes, i laughed.

"Hahahahahaha! Whatever Austin" i said and ruffled his hair.

He pouted.

"Oh, come on!" He said fixing his hair.

"Hahaha, now let's get to class" i chuckled.

But the thing that he said. It was weird. Really really weird.

We walked to class together. Laughing at some old memories.

Like this one time. We were inside my car, and austin was sitting at the back, window seat ofcourse. Then he was holding his handkerchief outside the window while the car was moving. Then he pulled back his hand in the car and his handkerchief was gone.

I laughed so hard when that happened.

We entered the classroom and sat in the middle row. Yea, not the back row.

Sometimes i like attention, but sometimes i dont. Im that kind of person.

And ofcourse, Kylie, the popular bitch sits beside Austin. It's always like this so i guess im used to it.

"Hey Austin" kylie said twirling her wavy brown hair.

"Hi kylie" austin greeted back.

I know Austin, the popular girls are not his type. He just likes the simple ones.

"You wanna come over tonight? Me and the squad are having a party" Kylie said looking excited

"Oh, sorry Kylie. I cant because im hanging out at Avery's house later." He said

It's true. He is gonna stay at my house later. He always does.

"Oh, i see" she said looking embarrassed and sad.

I wanted to laugh, but i held it in. The teacher came in and the class started.

Here comes 50 minutes of boredom.

Who said that i wanted to do it? To leave Avery? I never did. And now i regret it. I'm a coward. I was afraid that Dylan and Ryan would say it to her, and also the whole school. And then, i just left her. Afraid.

∆ Austin's POV ∆

I woke up early in the morning. It's weird for me to wake up this early in the morning, but i guess im just excited to see Avery, even though i see her everyday.

I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, washed my face, took a bath and walked to my closet.

Since im just simple, i picked out a white tshirt and my fitted jeans. I do not want to call them skinny jeans because, ya know..it's too girly.

I ran downstairs and grabbed a granola bar. Yes, a granola bar. To be honest, i hate the taste of it. It tastes like fish feeds. And no, i haven't eaten fish feeds and i never will. It's just the smell of it makes you taste it. Do you get it?

I slung my backpack over my shoulder and left my house. Walking for about 8 minutes to Avery's house.

Avery, Avery Sophia Harper. Her name brings a smile to my face. She's been my best friend since were 5. We did everything together, did crazy stuff together. For example, breaking in school and vandalizing Kylie Wedner's locker.

She...is perfect. And she's this simple girl, that will definitely make you fall for her. It's because of her personality.

I finally arrived at her house and Quantel, Avery's mom, opened the door for me.

Her family, is like my family too. But hers is so much better.

"She's right upstairs getting ready" Quantel said and i thanked her for telling me

I walked up the stairs and shouted her name

"Avery!" I called her name. I gave her 20 more minutes or else i am gonna go to her bedroom without knocking.

Cause you know, i don't wanna come to her room and see her in the middle of changing.

After 20 minutes, i walked up to her bedroom door and hoped that she's not in the middle of changing.

I opened the door and found her, tying her hair.

"What's taking you so long?" I asked her playfully

She looks so perfect. I noticed that she's wearing the black tshirt that i gave her a few months ago.

"Austin chill the fudge down. It's just 6:47" she laughed a little bit

We arrived at school and i saw Dylan and Ryan sitting down the fields. Dylan and Ryan..my other friends. And trust me, i dont consider them as bestfriends. I told them my secret, and they're blackmailing me.

We reached Avery's locker

"Well, see you later at class. I gotta go and meet up with -" she didnt let me finished

She slammed her locker door, pretty hard

And i felt guilty. Maybe i should meet up with them some other times. Nah, im not risking it.

(A/N = Again, y'all know what happened so imma skip)

"You have 6 more days with her" Dylan said

"6 days?!" I said, well, more like asked again

"Yea, 6 days. So after this day, it'll only be 5" Ryan said stupidly.

This is breaking my heart. Really

"Why? Why are you guys even doing this? I mean i just told you my secret, and all of a sudden you guys are blackmailing me!" I said

They looked at each other.

"We want your spot. The most popular boy in school, we want Avery to notice us, we want what you have" they said smirking

"What because yours is too weak?! I'll step down! Just don't hurt Avery" i said

"No" they said and i sighed.

Well, I'll just make the most out of my 6 days...with her.

• TIME SKIP •

I saw her climbing up the stairs. I'm gonna miss her so much after the 6 days.

I grabbed her arm.

"The hell?!" She said, well, more like shouted

"Hey, calm down. I just wanna talk to you" i said, trying not to cry.

"Yea, sure. But you better make it quick" she said.

"Whatever might happen...i just want you to know that...i did it for a reason" i said. She furrowed her eyebrows, confused.

"Hahahahahaha! Whatever, Austin" she just laughs and ruffled my hair.

Ah shit, i knew she wouldn't take this seriously.

"Oh come on!" I complained. What? Im too lazy to fix my hair. Oh fuck, i just sounded like a girl for a second.

"Hahaha, now let's get to class" she chuckles and pulls me to the classroom.
