(ROSE) - FAMILY REUNIONS ARE NEVER FUN

               A PHONE CALL, THAT'S ALL IT HAD BEEN BUT THE SAID CALL HAD THE ORIGINAL REALLY WONDERING IF FATE TRULY LOVED PLAYING TRICKS WITH HER, BECAUSE THIS NEWS HAD TO BE A JOKE RIGHT? Or at least that's what Julies had first though but the longer this information ran through her mind the more clear that it became that this news wasn't a joke and for that she had to give Katerina some credit for creating a loop hole that the mikaelsons would never think of or so she wanted to hope for that but sadly she knew the originals like the back of her grimore.

           If there was a way then they had probably known about her for a while to simply wait for the perfect time to use her for their own gain.

           Maybe if it had been a few hundred years ago the woman wouldn't be considering driving to the location that she was given, just to get one over the family that she use to call her own. But that was her old self and right now she wanted more than anything to get back at the mikaelsons or one in particular. In the years that had passed since the incident she became spiteful towards anyone or anything that had to involve her so called family, but at much as she didn't want to admit it she couldn't pass up on an opportunity to ruin Klaus Mikaelson's plans.

                      ELENA GILBERT SEEMED TO ALWAYS FIND HERSELF IN THE MOST UNFORTUNATE PREDICAMENTS. No matter where the girl went trouble seemed to follow her around like a magnet. As of right now the teenager found herself in what could only be described as an abandon house where she was being held hostage by two vampires that we're trying to use her as some sort of leverage. One thing that was obvious to her was they weren't very bright for kidnappers, she had woke up about an hour ago and not one of them had checked up on her. They were to busy arguing about which person would be the better fit to deal with.

               The two names that they kept on throwing around was Julies and Elijah both apparently being some type of old school vampires or at least that's what she could understand before she misstepped on a loose board catching the attention of the female vampire who turned around to glare at the teen," You! There's nothing around here for miles. If you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong. Understand?"

" Okay that's great to know but all I want to know right now is who's Elijah and Julies? " Elena questioned.

"Haven't your Salvatore's been keeping you up on your history?" The male vampire quipped back.

           Before Elena has a change to respond the female vampire sighs and says," Don't be giving the Salvatore's that much credit Trevor. But to answer you question they aren't someone you really want to get on the bad side of. They both are powerful in their own right but let's just say Julies is more bloodthirsty then Elijah at times."

             A FEW HOURS LATER JULIES FOUND HERSELF STARING AT THE ABANDONED HOUSE THAT SUPPOSEDLY HELD THE LATEST DOPPLEGANGER. All the heretic had to do was simply step in and she would have the biggest bargaining tool she could ever hope for but at the same time she had this weird feeling that it wouldn't be that simple at least with her luck it never was. For all she knew it could be trap set by Klaus to bring her into the fold that she wouldn't want any part in now or a thousand more years from now.

           Or worse this could have all been something that the noble brother Elijah Mikaelson had planned to try to talk his way back into her good graces. Either way one thing seemed certain this was not going to end well for someone.

             After finally getting her nerves under control the blonde stepped out of her car to see the one and only Elijah Mikaelson start to walk her direction with a kind smile on his face once he spotted her much less to her joy she couldn't stop her self from smiling back at him.

"Julies what a pleasure to see you again. " Elijah greeted.

" Elijah you know it's anything but, what has it been a hundred years or more? If I remember correctly the last time I saw you was when you lied straight to face in the name of family... but let's be honest with ourselves you simply didn't want to bear the burden of having Niklaus' temper to deal with."

"Now Julies you must know I never meant to hurt you, but what I did was for my little brother's good and yours too." Elijah replied noting how the heretics eyes started to glow their dangerous shade of green at the mention of her soulmate.

" Our own good?! That's the biggest load of shite if I've ever heard from the great noble brother who's suppose to be so knowledgeable. Did you even know that whole reason Kol had suggested for Nik to have a party in the first place was because he was planning on proposing to me that night and wanted to have his family there for the occasion? After years of being on the out with you lot he finally was on good standings and wanted share such a special moment with his family. But instead he ended the night with a dagger in his heart as I watched helplessly as the people I trusted the most put it there."

" I can't begin to imagine the pain that you've felt and the anger that you must have towards me and the others but what good would I be to your cause if I was deposed of? I know that look in your eyes you're trying to debate whether I deserve to live or die. And while you could simple end me right here and now, you are too curious to see if the doppelgänger is really the splitting image of Katerina?" The original stated with a slight smirk one his face as the glow vanished from her eyes as she sighed.

"As much as I can hate you at the moment, I do hate that you always knew me so well." The blonde sent one more glare his way before motioning towards the house,"Only one way to find out, shall we?"

             All Elijah did in response was smile at her as she lead the way towards the house he couldn't help but think to himself if this was how she reacted to seeing him that it would be real bloodshed when she ran into his brother and maybe it would be better to get out of her way this time.

" They're both here! This was a mistake." Trevor said fear lacing his tone as he ran into back into the room where Elena was being held.

" No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me." Rose says trying to calm him down.

" No! They both want me dead, Rose!" Trevor yelled.

" They want her more. "

" I can't do this. You give her to them, they'll have mercy on you but I need to get out of here." Trevor replied looking ready to leave any second.

"Hey! What are we?" Rose asked.

"We're family, forever." Trevor replies as rose grabs him gently by the arms to calm him down.

A loud knocking disturbs Rose and Trevor's moment making the latter jump and look more frightened than before.

" You're scared." Elena stated having watched them scatter back and forth, at least they had each other which in some way was bitter sweet.

" Stay here with her and don't make a sound." Rose ordered.

The vampire took a deep breath before opening the door to be greeted with the sight of Elijah and Julies sharing the same smile that only meant that there was trouble coming.

" Rose-Marie. Is there somewhere we can talk?" Elijah asked.

" Yes, in here. You have to forgive the house." Rose tells them.

" Oh, no, what's a little dirt? I completely understand. So tell me, what is it that gives you the courage to call me and Julies?" Elijah asks.

" I wanted my freedom. I'm tired of running. Are both of you in a position to grant me that?"

"We have complete authority to grant pardon to you and your little pet. What is his name these days? Trevor. If we so see fit." Julies said with her signature smirk.

" Katerina Petrova?"

" You're got our attention." Julies replied trying not to get annoyed with how slow it was taking the vampire to get to the point.

" She didn't burn in the church in 1864."

" Continue."

" She survived."

" Where is she?" Elijah questions.

" You both don't seem surprised by this." Rose says suprised by the bored looks on their faces.

"It's Katerina she always finds a way no matter how much one can hope for her end." Julies says rolling her eyes.

" Oh, when you called and invited us into this armpit of civilization, which is a mere three hours from the town we know as Mystic Falls, I surmised it had everything to do with Katerina. Do you have her in your possession?" Elijah questions.

" No, but I have better. I have her doppelgänger."

" That's impossible, her family line ended with her. I know that for fact." Elijah said with clear confusion on his face.

" The facts are wrong." Rose states.

" Well Rose i know you vampires have a flair for the dramatic but could we get to the point already, I don't particularly wanna waste my time here all day okay. " Julies said only for Elijah to give her a look before clearing his throat and saying," What she means is go ahead and show us this girl."

" Elijah, you are a man of honor and Julies follows the same principles as you so, you should be trusted but I want to hear you say it again." Rose said hesitantly.

" You have my word that I will pardon you." Elijah vowes.

"I promise that this will put you in my good favor. So yes I will also pardon you."

" Follow me." Rose said leading them to room where Elena is being held.

Elijah and Julies look at her with a surprised look on their faces and rush over to her. Elijah looks at her and smells her neck.

" Human. It's impossible. Hello there." Elijah said with a small smile.

" And so it begins again ."

" We have a long journey head of us. We should be going." Elijah tells Elena who looks over at Rose.

" Please, don't let them take me." Elena begs Rose.

" One last piece of business and we're done."Elijah said starting to walk towards Trevor with Julies walking besides him.

" I've waited so long for this day, Julies and Elijah. I'm truly, very sorry." Trevor said .

"Oh no, your apology's not necessary." Elijah replies.

" Yes, yes it is. You both trusted me with Katerina and I failed you." Trevor said ashamed.

" Oh yes, you are the guilty one and Rose aided you because she was loyal to you and that now I honor. Where was your loyalty?" Elijah questions him.

"I beg your forgiveness." Trevor begs.

"So granted." Elijah said with a small smile.

"I think it would be best if I fixed this." Julies whispers to Elijah as her eyes glow lime green.

Elijah nods before getting behind Trevor who is oblivious to what will happen in the next few seconds.

A smile graces his face before his whole body is surrounded by lime green magic and with a single snap of the heretics hand his head is swiped off in a clean sweep.

"Just like old times Jul, the only difference is I'm not covered in blood yet."

"Yes how could I ever let you get your suit dirty 'Lijah."

"You! " Rose yells glaring at Julies who simply smiles back at her.

"Don't, Rose, now that you are free." Elijah warns her before looking at Elena.

"Come."

"No, what about the moonstone?" Elena questioned trying to buy herself sometime.

"What do you know about the moonstone?" Elijah asked.

" I know that you need it and I know where it is."

" Yes?" Elijah replied wondering where she was trying to go with this.

" I can help you get it." Elena stated.

" Tell me where it is."

" It doesn't work that way." Elena says trying to stand up for herself.

" Are you negotiating with me?" Elijah asks Elena looking over at Rose.

"It's the first I've heard of it." Rose said shrugging.

Elijah simply wanting to be done with this fiasco tries to compel the answer out of the teenager only to find he couldn't.

Only after he tries again he notices the necklace around her neck.

" What is this vervain doing around your neck?" Elijah asked her looking over at Julies who's eyes and hands were glowing a brighter lime green.

Elena's necklace is thrown of by Julies magic as Elena's eyes now glow green.

"Now darling tell me where the moonstone is. "

" In the tomb, underneath the church ruins." Elena replied.

"What is it doing there?"

" It's with Katherine." Elena replies as her eyes go back to their normal brown color.

" Interesting." Elijah says intrigued.

" You did great darling now only it you could have told us that sooner." Julies stated only to hear glass breaking a few seconds later.

"What is that?" Elijah asks Rose.

" I don't know."

" Who else is in this house?" Elijah asks her once again.

" I don't know."

Having had enough of these mind games the original grabs Elena as Julies scans the room with her magic to notice that it was simply two vampires running around them. Elijah throws Elena into Roses arms before yelling her name.

Only for her to retort with the same response as before pulling the teenager closer to her.

"Up here." A voice says sounding like it came from upstairs

Elijah races up the stairs after the voice only for a second voice to say, " Down here."

The original gets a few more steps before a wooden stake is thrown threw his hand only for him to simply remove it and throw it to Julies who is still downstairs ready to take care of whoever is trying to play games with them.

In the mist of the chaos Elena and Rose have vanished causing more of a problem as Elijah notices this and says," Excuse me. To whom it may concern, you're making a great mistake if you think that you can beat us you can't. Do you hear that?" Elijah addresses the Salvatores as he breaks a wooden coat rack into a stake.

"In other words just give us the doppelgänger before it gets ugly." Julies adds on to his statement as she now has the stake levitating before her.

"As Julies said we want the girl, I'm gonna count to three or heads will roll. Do we understand each other?"

" I'll come with you, just please don't hurt my friends, they just wanted to help me out." Elena replied walking up the stairs to the man only for him to meet her halfway.

Feeling that something was off about this the heretic creates a magical barrier around the original until a raven haired vampire steps out of his hiding spot to shoot continuous stakes at her breaking her concentration making her glare at him and throw him again the wall with her magic.

" What game are you playing with us?" Elijah questioned watching as the green aura slowly vanished from him.

But instead of answering Elena throws a vervain bomb in his face, watching as it goes off immediately burning his skin only for him to heal in a few seconds confusing the teen.

Elijah tries to reach for her but is stopped by another vampire who has an compressed air gun but little to his dismay it does nothing to original so he simply throws it and decides that tackling him would be a better option only for them to fall down the stairs.

Elijah quickly gets back on his feet but the other vampire stays bound to the floor by Julies magic that takes its time slowly surrounding him looking like something straight out of an horror film.

The raven haired vampire decides now is the best time to try to talk his way out of his situation by doing what he thinks he does best.

" You know I'm sorta into this whole villain thing you really pull it off... Julies was it? It's a shame your on the wrong side."

"Oh no darling I'm on the winning side , it is you that is on the wrong side but it's probably best if you stay on the losing side I think it fits you better."

"Damn did you hear that Stefan? She's cold hearted such a shame truly..."

"If I were you Damon I wouldn't try your luck, she's obviously powerful I don't think we need to anger her any further."

" Ah it seems one of you has the brains. Why don't you get the girl Elijah , I want to have some fun with our friends over here."

Elijah couldn't help but smile at the heretic before motioning Elena to follow him only for Rose stake Elijah and push him against the door.

"That was for Trevor." Rose says watching as the color drains from his face and he starts to desiccate.

From green to brown the heretics eyes flash meaning only one thing who ever was in her path was about to have it. As much as she hated Elijah at the moment something still struck her as she looked at his desiccated body, her magic has everyone trapped as she screamed at the top of her lungs saying," Oh now you've done it. I was going to simply let you go after messing with you lot a little bit now i will make it my personal mission to twist your world  upside down. "

Little did she know that she literally made the house shake and as her eyes returned to their normal color everything calmed down giving the Salvatore's and Elena the chance they need to hightail it out of there.

                     ELIJAH STAYED IMPALED TO THE DOOR FOR WHAT FELT LIKE TO JULIES FOR HOURS. She could help but be happy when he finally started to wake up and removed the stake from his chest. Sure she hated the original at the moment but a small part of her couldn't bare to see him in such a terrible state that reminded her too much of Niklaus's daggers that he just loved to throw at his siblings when they stepped out of line.

           As she see was lost in her thoughts Elijah started to become more lively and was shocked to see that she waited for him to wake up he expected for her to leave him to deal with this one his own maybe she wasn't as pissed as he original thought.

"Julies?"

"About time 'Lijah, I was starting to getting bored. I've got to say though I did not expect little old Rose to be one stake you, I wouldn't have thought she had it in her."

"Well you did kill her pet right in-front of her after all, At least she knew better than to stake you."

" Yes it seems she did have some sense to her. But our little doppelgänger problem only got more complicated. They already know about moonstone and it won't be long till Klaus shows up with the word of a new doppelgänger in Mystic Falls."

" Ah but that is exactly what I want he has something that we both want very much."

"You mean he truly has all of the siblings together in one place?"

" Or so I heard from an spy i planted in his path a few years ago."

"And you truly believe this spy?"

" It would be very unwise of him to tell me a lie."

"Then it looks like I'll be sticking around this town to see what the aftermath of you plan will be." Julies stated with a smirk on her face before throwing a blood bag towards the original who simply watched as she walked out of his view leaving him to contemplate how this was all going to turn out.

He could only hope that this new doppelgänger would be the solution to bringing his family back together.

AUTHORS NOTE :

This was sorta out of the blue but I felt like rewriting this book since I missed writing for this book. It is so weird to look at my writing from two years ago like man it was bad. But I feel that this chapter is a better interpretation of how I write now. I hope that y'all will continue to follow Julies story because this revamp is gonna be something else.
