Air Force One

Private cabin

They would be landing in Dallas in a couple of minutes. Jack and Jackie were in Dallas to get the '64 re-election campaign on the road. Going to Texas, wasn't just to get popular, it was a political necessity.

Jack sat reading while Jackie sat gazing out the window. There had been a lot of unexplained silences since August, when they had lost Patrick. Jack put down his newspaper and came over to see his wife.

"Are you okay?" Jack asked. Jackie nodded. "I'm just worried about this whole Texas thing. I can't wait just to get to the Johnson's ranch tonight and rest" Jackie smiled. Jack nodded. "Well, it's just a short motorcade and a visit to the Trade Mart before our last stop at Austin" Jack reassured his wife, who meant the world to him.

"Besides, we've been welcomed greatly and friendly wherever we've went in this state. So why worry?" Jack asked her. Jackie looked, hopefully at her husband. "Yeah" she whispered. "Yeah you're right. You're right. There is nothing to worry about" Jackie assured herself, before resting her head on Jack's shoulder.

"Thanks by the way" Jack whispered to his wife. "For what?" Jackie asked, sitting back up. "For coming with me". Jackie felt something grab her hand, only to see Jack clasping it. "I know, it's been hell these past few months but I love you" Jack said to his wife. Her eyes filled with tears of joy. "Thank you bunny" Jackie smiled, before hugging her dear husband.

He kissed her head before they seperated, their arms still around one another. They looked into their shimmering eyes. Those blue eyes. The eyes that Jackie had fallen for. They glimmered back at her. She leaned in slowly before their lips brushed together and they came together for a tender kiss. Soon enough, the air hostess knocked before entering.

The First Couple quickly split apart and composed themselves to how they were, however their hands remained together.

"Mr President. Mrs Kennedy. Prepare for landing in Dallas" The air hostess smiled before leaving the private cabin. The First Couple looked down onto Dallas, unaware of what would occur in the next hour.
