Chapter 33
~Y/N POV~
Two months later
"Yes Jungkook I'll pick up some food on the way home."
I smiled, speaking through my phone to Jungkook who is still at work.
"Good because jin won't let me leave early to go before it closes." Jungkook
"That's because he knows I'll do it for you. Hey, do me a favour and ask him if he wants me to pick him up anything too. You know what he's like."
"Yeah sure but y/n please remember the sour candy worms. I love them so much!" Jungkook
I laughed at his excited exclamation of love towards food but looking up to the wall seeing the time on the clock I knew I had to go.
"I'll remember Jungkook but I have to get going okay? I'll see you later."
"Okay fine, I'll see you later." Jungkook
Hanging up the phone I sighed to myself, and stuck my phone into my front pocket waiting for my name to he called out for my doctors appointment.
I've been feeling really good lately so a doctors visit wouldn't hurt and spoil my mood. Months back my mom had me come in because I slipped into depression but I would say I'm doing really well. I feel good about myself, I no longer think about Taehyung all the time. Admittedly I do sometimes but not always. Like I told him I'm moving on with my life and he should too.
It's been months since I've seen him anyway but I know Jimin still sees him every now and again. I'm happy they are still friends.
Although Jin tells me I should start dating but I don't agree. I'm not ready for that yet.
"Park Y/n?"
I stood up to the mention of my name, and seen the nurse standing at the end of the room just by the door, eyes wondering around the room until she spotted me coming her way.
She smiled and nodded towards me, pushing the door open to walk through to another little hallway. Then I followed her to the doctors office and gestured for me to walk in and I did.
"Doctor Chu should be with you shortly." Nurse
I nodded and thanked her.
She closed the door after herself and now I was to wait in this doctor office. Eyes wondering around the room to the plain white walls, the black side behind the desk, the same couch I cried on when I first came here when I had depression. I'm over that now.
Several quiet seconds went by when the office door finally opened and in came my doctor, Dr Chu. The same friendly face that helped me and that same smile that has me smiling back him when his eyes lit up to see me again.
"Well isn't it my favourite patient? But shh, don't tell anyone I said that. I'm not suppose to have favourites." Dr Chu
I laughed and watched the older man in his late forties at least, wonder over to his desk, clipboard in hand and sat down on his chair behind his desk.
"I won't tell I promise."
Dr Chu laughed and just winked at me.
"I knew I could rely on you to keep a secret. Now what could I help you with today? I thought you were feeling much better?" Dr Chu
He frowned, forehead forming wrinkles and eyes showing concern.
"I am feeling much better but I've been forgetting to take my pill a lot lately so I've wanted to change it to something else."
"Didn't you say your not currently sexually active lately?" Dr Chu
He sits up straight and slides over to his computer to type away.
"I'm not but I'd rather have something because you never know when something might come up."
Dr Chu, raised a brow and hummed.
"Mhm, does this have something to do with that Jin friend of yours. Has he finally got through to you about dating again? Or is this that Jungkook fellow?" Dr Chu
I chocked a laugh, shaking my head.
"No it's none of them I promise. I just wanted to change from the pill to something like the injection. Isn't that more preventable?"
He nods, clicking on his mouse connected to his computer.
"It is but you'll have to come in every eight weeks to repeat it. Can you remember that?" Dr Chu
"Heck yeah I can remember that. It's better than remembering to take a pill every day."
Dr Chu then pushed his chair back and wondered across the room towards the cupboards that were behind me. Taking something out and then turning around to hand to me in which I took from him.
"You'll need to take a test first. We have to do this with everyone that changes their contraception." Dr Chu
Glancing down at the test between my fingers I nodded and stood up to walk towards the private bathroom, already knowing where it was.
I heard Dr Chu opening and closing cupboards again on the other side of the bathroom door while I sat on the toilet, peeing on a stick. Not my first time doing this by the way. The last time I did this was when I first went into contraception and I was told to make sure I wasn't pregnant. I think I was about sixteen when I last did this.
After peeing on the stick, I flushed the toilet, washed my hands and walked back out.
"Just place the test on the counter over there y/n I'll have a look at it in a minute." Dr Chu
I nodded, skipping over to the counter and placed the test down just like I was told and went back to my seat. Dr Chu now stood hunched over typing on his computer keyboard, then stand up straight, offering me another smile and picks up his glasses from the desk and put them on while walking around me to the counter again.
I did nothing but sit there tapping my feet, looking up to the walls again minding my own business.
"Y/n when was your last period?" Dr Chu
That's a random question.
"Two weeks ago. Why?"
I frowned, confused and yet slightly worried he would ask me that. Turning around in the chair, I stared at my doctors back, wondering what he was looking at if it wasn't my test.
"Interesting. So you've still continued with regular periods?" Dr Chu
He turned around, test held in his hand but nothing on his expression gave me anything to worry about.
"Yes. Every month and they last five to seven days. I don't understand why you're asking me these questions all of a sudden."
Dr Chu, sighed. Glanced down at the test in his hands and took only two large steps towards me and held out the test for me to see.
"You're pregnant y/n." Dr Chu
Immediately I took the test from him, snatching it from his hands and glare down at the stupid stick. There a bold blue cross, clear as day. Positive.
"Dr Chu, this has to be wrong. I can't be pregnant."
"I'm sorry y/n but these tests we use in the office are very accurate. We could do a blood test to be absolutely sure if you'd like but yes you're pregnant. Congratulations." Dr Chu
I couldn't take my eyes off the cross. It's unbelievable.
"How is this even possible? It's been months since I've last had sex."
"May I ask how long it's been?" Dr Chu
I heard his voice now somewhere in front by his desk.
"Three months ago."
Dr Chu knows exactly what I was talking about. I told him everything that had happened between Taehyung and I.
"Well again congratulations y/n. You're going to be a mother." Dr Chu
Yes. With the one person that I'm trying to move in from. Taehyung.
