(8) America is Mercury (notes) (CH)
Basically America is actually the personification of Mercury but he came to Earth, lost his memory, and somehow also became the personification of America.
also here are the ideas meant to be added but didn't because I didn't get to it
~UN is Earth's personification
~Venus is America's older sister
~UN x Venus
guess what, another 2020 writing
"Why's it so cold in here???" America asked, pulling on his zipped up NASA jacket.
"It's not even cold! It's literally 23.8 Degrees!" Australia exclaimed.
Canada gave a playful glare to Australia, reminding Australia that she needed to add units. However, America spoke up before Australia could add units.
"That's cold, even for a regular human..." America replied, sitting down and cuddling into Canada's side, causing the other three to sigh.
"75 degrees Fahrenheit." Canada explained after thinking about it for a moment.
"That's cold! Turn up the heat!" America whined.
"I don't understand how you can't take the cold or comfortable temperatures. You own Alaska, and, even before you owned that, you own New England, which I've heard gets pretty cold in the winter." New Zealand said.
"Well I don't understand why I'm so short!" America exclaimed, "Nada's almost two feet taller than me and Russia IS two feet taller than me! I only know two people shorter than me, which are Moon, which makes sense because he's only physically six, and Vatican, who's an actual midget! Monaco is an inch taller than me!"
"America, we don't understand either, but we'll always try and help you figure it out. It doesn't make sense. If anything, you should be comfortable in almost every temperature. You're a large country with people of an average height. None of it makes sense." Canada replied.
"I'm cold..." America whined, tears forming in his eyes.
Canada noticed a blush on his face before she put the back of her hand onto America's forehead, immediately pulling back.
"He's burning up. Aus, get the blankets, Zee, get the suits. I'll get medicine." Canada said, causing America to shift to where his head was on Canada's lap.
"Well looks like you're not going anywhere. I'll get the medicine too." Australia said, running off. New Zealand quickly followed.
"What are we going do with you, brother?" Canada asked, sighing.
"C-Cold..." America mumbled.
Canada sighed and grabbed a blanket that was sitting on the couch next to her. She covered her twin with it.
"Still cold..." America said.
"I know. Aussie is getting you a bunch of blankets." Canada said.
"Why can't I just be normal?" America started to cry, causing Canada to sigh, as she forgot how emotional her brother is when he's sick, which is surprisingly often.
"Hey, hey, don't cry. We don't know, but we'll always be here to try to work it out with you and help you." Canada said.
Australia walked into the room with a bunch of blankets. She put them on Canada's free side before going to get the medicine.
"Hey, Aus?" Canada asked.
"Hm?" Australia asked, turning around.
"While you're grabbing the medicine, could you also grab some wipes? We need to wipe Ame's flag off." Canada said.
"Yeah." Australia said, running off to one of the bathrooms.
America sneezed before coughing. He snuggled into Canada. America's pet eagle, Liberty, no one knows how she survives in America's room, flew over and sat on the arm of the couch, looking worriedly at her owner. New Zealand came back with three fire entry suits. Australia came back with the medicine and some wipes. Australia handed the wipes to Canada.
"Ame, can you look at me? We need to wipe your flag off." Canada said.
America looked up and let Canada wipe the flag off, revealing a blank, white face.

The quartet of siblings walked into the UN building. America, as normal, was incredibly nervous, scared that his non-missing flag facade would tumble down. He sat down and talked with Canada.
Eventually, UN, also known as Earth, walked in holding a bunch of pieces of paper. America stared at the pieces of paper, feeling a connection with one.
