Worlds Apart

This is the my take on the story prophecy.

     "I'm quite confused."
"Huh? Confused? Why is that?"
"You," She said as she raised a finger up to my face, "Are you a good guy pretending to be a bad guy or a bad guy pretending to be a good guy? Those marks on your face and your warm extended hand are quite confusing, just like you."
"Sorry to disappoint you but I'm actually neither. I'm honestly a nobody with no place in either world." I said as I stood there, my hand still stretched out to her.
"Meh, that's boring. I guess you are just as simple as your name, Christopher Ridley." She said grabbing my hand and standing up, then dusting herself off. Her words hurt me but only slightly, as she wasn't completely wrong, I'm just as boring as my name suggest.
"How did you know my name?" I asked jumping back in absolute surprise and shock after finally realizing that she knew my name.
"I'm Ever Kensley and I've been in the same class as you since fifth grade, how have you never noticed?"
"Huh?" I said titling my head back to look at her, "Then shouldn't you have answered your own question long ago?"
"You never gave me the opportunity to. You would do something that made me think you were good but then you would do something bad only a few moments later. So I couldn't really tell. Though, now I'm more confused then never. You seemed to come out of nowhere and you took down my bullies even though you don't know me. How strange?" she replied as she leaned against the tree her fingers holding her chin as she thought.
"What do you mean out of nowhere? You were the one that called me, right?"

*Five minutes prior*
"Stop talking back, if I were you." Hayden said as he pushed her down to the ground before laughing at her with the three other boys, "Now, let's see what you've got under that skirt of yours."
"Christopher." Her heart screamed out.
"What? Has the cat finally got your tongue?"

Then, just like in the movies, a boy with pitch black hair come flying in and striking Hayden down with the force from his foot. His midnight eyes stared at the other three boys, dressed in the same uniform as the boy and girl. Their eyes waved with fear before quickly grabbing Hayden and running for the hills. The boy then picked her up, bridal style, and began to walk over to a green patch of grass under the cool shade of a nearby tree. He put her down gently and gave her a warm smile though that smile wasn't on his face for long.

"I'm quite confused." And the conversation began again.

"I guess I did kind of call out to you but never verbally... Oh and just to be frank, I only called your name because I was scared and-"

"Ever, you said it was. I don't care why you called me and I don't care what happens after this. Just don't never call my name out again."
"But I swear I didn't call your name out loud, I actually screamed out to you but that was from my heart. So I honestly don't know how you heard me." She said walking up and standing next to me, a small brush on her cheeks.

She brushed a lose strained of her bob-cut lilac hair behind her ear as the wind blew gently at her skirt and blazered shirt. Her blue eyes stared out at the city below us and her pinky lips formed a soft smile.

"Well, so long. I've troubled you and now I need to go." She said as she began walking down the stairs from the park, "I'll see you at school tomorrow and don't pretend to not know me, okay?"
"Okay." I said crossing my fingers over one another as I watched her leave. I turned back to the tree and walked to the backside of it before grabbing my school bag.

Ah! I'm so hungry! I thought as I walked down the street, my hand holding the strips of my bag which was flung over my shoulder- my other hand was in the pocket of my grey trousers.
The street was quiet and felt like it was never ending. My feet hurt but it wasn't near the pain that I felt in my face and on my right hand. Dry blood lay at one of corners of my mouth as well as down the side of my face.

"You look like you got your ass handed to you." James, my best friend, said throwing his arm around me.
"You should've seen them." I replied back with a laugh before wiping away the blood from my mouth. James just grinned in suspicion but said nothing more. He finally took his arm off of me and then put both of his hands on the back of his, white hair, head.
"Do you know Ever Kensley?"
"Ever? The name sounds familiar but I can't seem to put a face to the name."
"She apparently been in the same class as us since fifth grade but I seem to doubt that, " I replied looking down at my watch, "when did it get so late?"
"If I were you, I'd stay away from her. I don't have a great feeling about her... And you know, first hand, that my gut is never wrong." James said in his low voice, "Also are you coming tonight?"
"I don't know. I'm probably not going anywhere for the next ten years when my mom finds out about what I've been up to."
"Mhm. Your mom is crazy when it comes to this stuff but then again you are her only child."
"Ands she only wants the best for me, blah, blah, blah. I'm so sick of hearing that!"
"You may be sick of hearing that but it's something that you need to hear. You need to start thinking about your future, man."
"Go home." I said as I pushed him away. He gave me a small wave before walking down another, more fuller, road.

"Ever, huh?" I said switching the bag to my other shoulder.

I wanted there to be a connection between the two main characters, an unearthly kind of connection. Plus make Ever a more mysterious type of character since it's not really my style...
If you like it or want to read more then just let me know.
