Chapter fourteen: why does it have to be this way?

❀~~~~❀~~~~❀~~~~❀

Ⓣhe two males laid in the cramped bed, having their hands intertwined with another.

It felt nice, both of them thought to themselves. The other being they loved was right beside them. They even heard every breath the other took, and it felt good hearing, and not like how they imagined the angel would disappear.

"Do you know why no other angels haven't come to you yet?" the human asked.

Jimin shrugged. "I don't know, honestly. Maybe they didn't see it?"

The black haired male's frown deepened. "If that was the case, then they'd see the other kisses and cuddling. Are they not seeing us now? Is my room some kind of protection place or something?"

The blond haired angel couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Protection place?" he smirked amusedly. "There's no such thing. Well, except Heaven of course, but I've never heard of a protecting place on Earth."

"Unless you just weren't informed," Yoongi commented.

But Jimin still shook his head. That shouldn't be possible. Protection place on Earth? Would that be the case of no angels coming to get him? Why was he still allowed to be by Yoongi's side? Why was he allowed to kiss Yoongi as much as he wanted? Or maybe it was Father who gave me second chance perhaps?

"I'm tired," the angel heard Yoongi mutter as he cuddled up against the blond one's warm body.

"Sleep, and I'll watch over you," he whispered back as he removed some hair straws out of the human's eyes. "I'll always protect you, Min Yoongi."

Jimin woke up in a different place. That's right, woke up.

Angels didn't sleep, but he was somehow unconscious and he woke up in a strange place.

"Where am I?" he muttered as he got up to his feet and glanced around in every direction, but everything he saw was pure blackness. "Is anybody there?" he yelled out loud.

"Hush," another voice suddenly said from behind him, but as he turned around, no one was standing there.

"Who - who are you?" Jimin continued to yell.

"You have to be quiet, Jimin," the voice said sternly, but still had this softness to it, as if it had been crying.

"Where am I? What have you done to me?" Jimin kept on asking in panic. The voice still hadn't revealed itself to its owner.

"I brought you here to warn you," the voice said. "They're on their way, don't be fooled. I've bought you some time to spend with your human, but they're coming for you. You need to be prepared. You'll be banned for eternity, Jimin, and there's nothing I could do to prevent it." It fell silent for a moment as if it were trying to hold back its crying. "I'm so sorry."

"Are you," he started off, "Seokjin sunbaenim?"

The voice didn't reply.

"It's you, isn't it?" Jimin yelled. "Sunbaenim, where did you bring me?" He tried to think of what he's been taught, and then it hit him. He glanced around, trying to see through the blackness, and eventually, it started to reveal pictures and motions as if it was a dark cinema with moving photos. "Are we in your mind, sunbaenim?"

"Jimin, I'm trying to warn you, and this was the only safe place we could talk," he spoke again, but Jimin was too distracted by the memories inside of the elder's mind. They were all of another human, who seemed way older than Yoongi. He must've been a young adult. He had cute dimples, and the memories were showing from Seokjin's point of view, how he was talking with him, spending time with him, laughing with him, crying with him, and then something happened that shocked the young angel: they were kissing. And not only kissing, they were doing way more romantic - and sexual - activities with another.

"Is - is that your human, sunbaenim?" Jimin stuttered. "Why are you so intimate? Were you in love with each other?" he asked surprised.

"Never mind that," the voice snapped, "they're coming for you Jimin. Today, and then they'll not bring you to jail, no, it's way worse. It's - " The voice was cut off as Jimin suddenly woke up in Yoongi's room. The human was shaking him with tears in his eyes, begging the angel to wake up.

"Jimin?" he whimpered. "Oh my - I thought I lost you. I thought you were dead," he cried and rested his head on the other's chest.

"I think I will be," he whispered, but it was covered up by Yoongi's cries so he couldn't hear him.

Somehow he was cut off with the link he had with Seokjin, but he sounded scared. Actual scared, and if something scared the superior angel, it sure scared the younger one.

The two males had gone to Yoongi's favourite diner as he was hungry, and surprisingly Jimin felt hungry too. But when they arrived, his jaw hung open as he stared at the waiter inside.

"Oh my Father," he nearly yelled surprised, "you're sunbaenim's human!"

Yoongi was flushing red in embarrassment as he dragged the angel with him to sit at a table in the corner. "Normal people tend to find it weird when you'd refer them to 'humans', idiot," he scolded him.

"Right," Jimin muttered embarrassed, but he was still in shock, and he couldn't help but stare at the said waiter.

"He's whose human?" Yoongi asked.

"Seokjin sunbaenim," Jimin said, "the angel you thought I was mad at before, who was also right in front of this diner." Then Jimin was suddenly reminded of something. "So that's why he seemed so tense when he spotted that human and wanted to leave immediately?" he whispered to himself.

Out of the corner of his eyes, he witnessed some quick movements, and it made him stand on his feet immediately.

Yoongi jumped startled at his action. "What's wrong?" he asked as he stood up on his feet as well.

Jimin didn't have time to answer and just grabbed his human's hand and ran out of the diner immediately. He ran behind the building, hoping they could hide, but who was he fooling: they were angels. They'd know where you'd hide, no matter where you were on Earth; they'd track you down.

"Who - who are they?" Yoongi whimpered as he saw two men walking towards them in black suits.

Jimin gulped. "Seokjin sunbaenim," he said, and let his gaze land upon the other angel. "Who's that?" he asked the superior.

"Your worst nightmare," the dark angel grinned creepily, and it really sent shivers down the young angel's spine.

"Kushiel," Seokjin snapped, "he'll bring you to prison, Park Jimin."

"P - Prison?" Yoongi whimpered. "Why? He hasn't done anything!"

The Kushiel angel shifted his gaze from Jimin to the human. "That's where you're wrong," he grinned, "and now he'll come with me."

"To hell?" Yoongi asked scared.

"Even better, my own personal hell," he seemed so creepy, and pleased with himself, the human felt goosebumps cover his skin.

"Please don't take him from me," he cried, grabbing onto Jimin's arm, refusing to let him go.

"I'm sorry human," Seokjin said as he approached him, "I'm sorry for your pain. Your brother won't bother you anymore, and your pleasant memories of our angel Jimin will be kept, just not him."

"Why does it have to be this way?" he sobbed. "I don't want memories of him, I want him!"

"Well, you can't have him, you filthy little disgusting human - "

"Enough, Kushiel!" Seokjin snapped again.

"Don't tell me what to do, you pathetic angel," he growled back, but he didn't seem too interested in the superior angel, and returned his attention onto the blond angel in front of him instead. "Let's go."

"Let me say goodbye first," Jimin added quickly and turned towards Yoongi. "I'm so sorry, Yoongi. I love you, okay, and I don't regret spending time with you." He quickly pressed his lips against the human's, and he didn't even have time to pull away to look into his human's eyes for the last time until he felt as if someone had sucked the life out of him, and everything went black.
