Shina, as she was named now in this new life, she didn't like the fact that she had a completely conscious mind. A mind that could fully process everything going on.
And by going on, it means the feeling of when she soiled her diaper and had to be changed, of when she had to be bathed, and of when she had to be fed.
The first few days it was embarrassing to be changed and being breast fed. The feeling of her mother's breast on her lips was already embarrassing enough. But hunger had discarded that away. Shina was also a girl; it was nothing she hadn't seen before on her body in her past life. And hunger was a terrible thing, especially in a child's body.
In her previous life, she could handle hunger and hold out for longer periods of time because she was either busy or lazy to even make something to eat.
But as a child, smallest feeling of a bit of hunger felt as if her insides were eating at each other. So, she gratefully and greedily accepted the milk given to her by her mother. Though at two weeks of nursing, she was soon given formula in a bottle.
It definitely tasted different from the milk she drank from her mother. But it was okay to drink. It was filling. If she could ignore the scent of the formula, which wasn't bad, but it just smelled slightly odd, it was satisfying and good.
She rarely cried, she felt bad for her new family when she cried. In her previous life when she had to babysit her niece, it drove her crazy when it seemed like every ten minutes the baby would cry for no apparent reason to her.
Thus, the only times Shina cried was when she needed her diaper changed and when she was hungry. The number of times she cried during the day could be counted on one hand, sometimes on both. Unlike other children who seemed to cry to count both hands and toes three times over.

It was June and according to what her family had said, she was now two months old. She could now fully stretch out her fingers and "tightly" grip her father's and mother's fingers. Meaning that she was born in April.
She could move her head to the sides, which was a plus when Yuuji came to visit, she could finally turn to look at him. But she still couldn't fully turn on her side by herself, she could move her arms and legs, but she still wasn't strong enough to move her entire body. Which was to be expected, she was only two months old. But it was frustrating to say the least.
"When can Shi-chan play with me?" Yuuji asked their mother as she held Shina in her arms and fed her the milk formula.
She smiled, "She can't right now. Shina is still little; she'll be able to play with you later. Maybe in two years?"
"Two years! How much is that? Is it the day after tomorrow?" Yuuji asked.
She shook her head, "Two years is when you turn five years old. Right now, you're three."
Yuuuj's small mouth formed a small o as he nodded at their mother.
Time seemed to pass by in a blur, especially when there's nothing much to do except eat, diaper change, sleep and repeat. And the occasional laughing and being lulled to sleep by Yuuji's rambling about the weird looking omelet their father made that morning.
It was difficult to accept this new life, to accept that she had died and left her family and friends behind. She had often cried herself to sleep as she thought about them, but there was nothing she could do, she could only hope that her family and friends didn't grieve so much for her death.
And now all she could do is to live. Live this new life, and she would be damned if she let this new life slip through her grasp.
She'll hold onto this life like a rabid hungry wild animal.
She'll live as Itadori Shina, and life a long and fulfilling life with her family.
But for now, her first priority was to able to move on her own, talk, and the rest would come later. Especially watching out for when their parents would die. She would try her best to prevent that from happening.

Hot. It was so hot; she didn't know how hot it would feel as a baby. Though at times she would feel cold because of the air conditioner being on.
But still being in a onesie was suffocating, so she did the only thing she could do. She cried and cried until someone came to her.
Her father was the first to come to her then it was her mother. At seeing them, she slightly quieted down, but still kept the tears going. She needed to get their attention to the onesie!
"What's wrong?" Jin said as he picked Shina up.
Shina squirmed in his hold, it was already hot enough and being in his arms was making it even more hot.
'It's so hot! Can't you see how much I'm sweating?! I can feel it right there on my forehead.' Shina exclaimed in her mind as she lifted her small hands to slap her father's face then let her hand drop to the neck of her onesie.
"Doesn't she look a bit red to you?"Jin turned to his wife.
She frowned and nodded, "I forgot about the onesie. Yuuji was the same when it was hot." She reached for Shina and quickly unbuttoned the onesie and left her in her diaper on the changing table as she went to open the drawer to look for shorts and a shirt.
Once Shina was wiped down and dressed in her new clothes, she felt as if mother nature had decided to grace her with the air of life. She felt as if she was going to die by how hot it was.
Shina stretched out her hands to her mother.
~Time Skimp (Months Later) ~
Winter was torture, but better than summer, since she could just be in a onesie and wrapped in a bundle of blankets to keep her warm from the winter cold.
She couldn't wait for Spring to come. She loved the snow, but in her current body, she didn't want it at all.
"Shi-chan, did you know Santa will come in...." Yuuji looked down at his fingers and began to 'count' "he'll come in five days!" He said as he held up four fingers instead of five.
Being eight months old, Shina could now move around in her crib, but sitting up on her own was still a bit hard. It took her a while to sit up on her own, but she was getting better at it. It really helped practicing every time when no one was around.
Thought the real obstacle at the moment was standing and walking on her own without falling. For the past month, her family has been trying to get her to stand on her own.
She was indeed able to stand on her own, for a few seconds before falling onto her diaper cushioned butt.
Though she was an expert as crawling, she was certain she could beat anyone else at crawling. But if Yuuji had been a baby like her right now, she was sure that he would be able to beat her and out-crawl her with ease, with that monstrous strength of his. Strength that he seemed to be showing signs of now.
Shina smacked her small lips as a bit of droll trickled down the side of her mouth. She was glad that she was no longer drooling as much as she had before. The problem was she was in the beginning stages of teething. And it hurt so much, that she would break out in a fever.
Using her small hand, she rubbed at her mouth and proceeded to open and close her mouth.
Yuuji tilted his head to the side in confusion before running into the kitchen, "Mama! Mama!" he called out for their mother, "Shi-chan's a fish."
Shina felt a frown form in her brow, 'A fish!'
She her their mother say exactly the same Shina was thinking, "A fish?"
"She opens and closes her mouth like one." She heard Yuuji exclaim.
Their mother hummed and walked into the living room followed along with an overly hyper Yuuji trailing right behind her like a lost puppy.
Shina watched as their mother sat on the floor right in front of Shina who was sitting leaning on her purple pillow seat.
They both looked at each other, neither moving, unlike Yuuji who sat down on the ground as well but was looking back and forth between mother and daughter.

'Hmph, I was going to be nice to him. But since he called me a fish, I'll show mama what I learned.' Shina thought as she blinked.
Once again, her small lips opened, "Maaama." She said out loud, though soon after Shina scrunched her nose at realizing she said the 'a' longer than intended.
But none the less, it had the effect she was looking for. Their mother covered her mouth for a few seconds before smiling at Shina.
It was an uproar in the house once everyone else found out that Shina had said her first word, and it was "mama", of course some were jealous, Jin, because he hoped to have her call him "papa" or be there for when she said her first word. But he was at work.
Christmas came and went, Yuuji was so happy with the gift that "Santa" had gotten him that year. He had gotten a pair of new socks, in his favorite color, and he had also gotten a toy from his favorite show.
Shina had gotten a new teething toy; clothes and some teddy bears as well as rabbit plush toy. It wasn't much, but she loved the softness of the rabbit.
She loved it so much that she slept with it right next to her.
It was finally Shina's first birthday in this world. April 15, 2006, she officially turned one, though mentally she was now a seventeen-year-old teenager, but they didn't need to know that.
"Happy birthday Shi-chan!" Yuuji smiled at her. Yujji's birthday was last month on March 20th, and he was four years old now.
She loved her birthday. She loved the cake she was able to eat again. And she loved her family, a family she never wants to let go of.
That night when she was put to bed, she cried. She cried from happiness, but also cried because this was her first year, her first birthday away from her family in her previous life.
One year down, and many more to come. This was the beginning of her second childhood. Maybe she could do some of the things she'd always wanted to do?
