In her mind-space Sukuna shows her the seal he had mentioned.  Making her remember every single line and circle.

And how to control her cursed energy enough to be able to put it into the seal.

Without meaning to, Sukuna was teaching her how to control her energy merely because he found a benefit to it.

"With this you should and will make a seal." He emphasized each and every word.

It felt like it had been days in her mind-space, but in reality, when she woke up it had been four hours.  After she had woken up, she checked the time on her phone and saw that it was barely two in the morning.

Now, not only was she physically tired, but she was also mentally tired as well with having to memorize the seal that Sukuna had shown her.

A seal that only he knew, it wasn't the type of seal that are used by jujutsu sorcerers.  He had also said that it was a seal that wouldn't be found by them, unless they knew exactly what they were looking for.  It was a type of seal that was most likely lost throughout the generations that came, a seal of his.  The same could be said for the cursed spirits, they wouldn't be able to find Sukuna's fingers.

"Since you have to collect them, I'll allow you to be able to find them easier." He had said as he etched into her mind the feeling of what the cursed item would feel like.

Even now she could feel the pain in her head at thinking of how painful it was feeling the cursed energy of Sukuna.

"It's too early." She sighed as she rolled out of bed nearly falling onto the ground, "I need some water."

Her legs ached when her weight settled on her legs, but after a short while it had lessened.

Shina turned on the lamp to find one of the many water bottles she had in her room, she found a half empty one, and drank it.

The moment the water touched her tongue, her mind went blank as images came to her mind.

She could see herself at a riverbank kneeling on the ground as she dug with her hands, after digging and digging she reached into the hole and pulled out one of Sukuna's fingers and wrapped something around it.

She was brought out of her thoughts when the water dripped into her shirt.

"What was that?" She thought to herself, "Was it a dream?"

It seemed too real to be a dream.

It was June twentieth, and she could only make one seal per day as she found out after practically draining all the energy she had.

And it didn't particularly help with the training she had on a daily basis.

So, this day felt like a gift from God.  Today she didn't have any training, since her body needed some rest.  And she wouldn't exactly let the opportunity slip her through her grasp.

"Would it be possible to walk around town to see it?  I haven't really gotten the chance to see it well since we got here." Shina told Yaga as she stood in front of him hoping that he would agree, "I also want to familiarize myself with the area."

Yaga rubbed his chin, "Alright.  Make sure to call Gojo or me if something were to happen.  And don't go after any cursed spirits just yet."

"Thank you.  I'll make sure to avoid any cursed spirit." She excused herself and promptly left.

After making sure she had her phone safely in her light blue spring jacket pocket, money in her pant pockets, she picked up a cross-body shoulder bag she left her room.

Taking the seals, she had hidden in a shoe box in the closest she folded them neatly and put them in the bag, the bag was to put any Sukuna's finger she may hopefully come across that day.

She walked around town recalling the feeling of the cursed item and trying to find a similar feeling.  But at the same time, she was sight-seeing.

As she turned the corner around a hill, her steps came to a stop.  There in front of her was the same riverbank she had seen in her "dream".

She cautiously walked towards it while looking around while occasionally pushing strands of her hair away from her face.

After making sure there was no one around, she walked on the edge of the bank trying to find the spot she had seen, "There's no harm done to check it out." She muttered to herself.

'There it is.' She thought in shock as she slowly kneeled on the ground and placed her hand on it.  Very faintly, but it was there, she could feel the very faint feel of Sukuna's finger.

And just like she had seen, she began to dig.  Her fingernails filled with dirt; the tips of her fingers hurt every time she came across a small rock and scrapped her fingers.  She was pretty sure she chipped a nail or two.

She stopped digging when she saw a familiar shape, "It's really here." She murmured.

She dug out the finger and quickly took out one of the two seals from her bag and wrapped it around the finger and shoved it into her bag as quickly as she could.

She would have taken her time to examine it, but there was no way to tell that someone wasn't watching.  Whether it be a human or a cursed spirit.

Feeling as if her entire body was shaking from the nerves and adrenaline of everything that was happening, Shina stood up on shaky legs and proceeded to use her foot to cover the whole she had dug up.

Normally she would have called it a day and gone back, but she didn't have enough time.  So, she decided to go on and continue searching.

But nothing ever goes as planned in this world.  Her phone began to ring.

With a frustrated sigh, she reached into her pocket and took out her phone.

"Hello."

"Where are you?  Itadori nearly had a heart attack after he couldn't find you." Came Nobara's voice from the other end.

"I'm looking around town.  I'm going back now." She turned on her heels and began to walk back the way she had come from, "I asked the principal for permission to go out."

Shina could hear as Nobara turned the phone away from herself and yelled out to Yuuji that Shina was in town and on her way back.

"Okay." And with that Nobara hung up.

As Shina pulled the phone from her ear, she noticed her dirty hands and grimaced.

It wasn't only from how dirty her nails were, but because it brought back so many memories of the day she died.  The memory of walking into her house covered in dirt and sweat came to her mind as she began to remember the day "she died".

She went back to the riverbank and rinsed her hands in the water and grimaced as the dirt and grime washed off.  Two of her nails were chipped, while her hand was littered with scrapes from the rocks she had encountered while digging.

That night Sukuna spoke to her again.

"I found one of the fingers." She told him.

She couldn't see him, but she could feel as if he was pleased and amused, "I can see that.  By the way, you have a very interesting mind."

"What do you mean?"

"The fact that you're a reincarnator is an interesting concept.  And it seems like you know more than you let on."

Shina didn't answer.  She never would have expected to have someone to find out about it.

"That's none of your business." She hoped that he wasn't able to see any of her memories, 'Can I put some barrier around my memories?'

Sukuna laughed, "I really don't care about you.  Just find the other fingers." And with that he left just as he had arrived.

The following days her routine returned to how it was before.  Training every morning, lunch break, then train again.

Though she was able to convince Yaga to let her go out and jog, but there had been a condition to that.

"Take one of the first years with you."

She wanted to yell, 'The whole point of going jogging alone is to find the fingers!' She internally screamed, "Okay.  I'll ask them." She forced a smile.

Shina knew that she wouldn't be able to find them in the dorms at this hour, and much less in a classroom, considering how Gojo was, he probably didn't even send them to a class.

"They're probably outside." She mused to herself as she walked towards the direction where they usually train.

"What are you doing?" Gojo looked at his possible future student.

The student who was looking at his three current students as if she were trying to find a hidden object in a painting, "I'm deciding who to pick." She responded with a hum as she looked at the other three.

She looked at Nobara and shook her head, 'She'd maybe want to go shopping or something.'

She turned to her brother, 'Yuu-ni would follow me everywhere and want to go sight-seeing.' She sighed.

'Fushiguro, he's the most sensible, but he'll keep an eye on me.' She sighed feeling exhausted, 'Please just let me go alone.' She internally pleaded.

She glanced up at Gojo hoping that Gojo didn't volunteer himself.

"Pick?"

"I'm going to start jogging outside soon, maybe tomorrow morning, and I need to take one of these three with me." She pointed at the mentioned three, "But I can't decide who."

Gojo stayed quiet for a few second before he smiled.  She didn't like that smile; it gave her a bad feeling.

He clapped his hands as he smiled seeming too happy, "Gather around.  We have something important to discuss." He called out loudly.

The three students turned around and answered back, "Okay." Shina sighed in exasperation as she watched them walk over to them.

"Shina-chan here, is going to start going jogging, and she needs a partner.  One of you lucky three will go with her." He told them after they were all near him and Shina.

Yuuji raised his hand, "I'll go!!"

Nobara pushed his shoulder, "No, I'll be the one to go.  As girls, we need to have a heart-to-heart moment with each other." She placed a hand on her cheek and the other on her chest.

Fushiguro stayed quiet.

"Oho, it seems like Megumi-chan wants to go." Gojo said in a teasing tone.

Fushiguro shook his head, "No, I'm good."

In the end they used sticks to decide who would go with her.

Her jogging partner starting from tomorrow onwards was .... Fushiguro.

One was disappointed for not being able to have a heart-to-heart moment.  The other was upset for not being able to go out with his sister, even though he sees her every single day, but not while sight-seeing which is something completely different.  According to him.

Fushiguro didn't even care at this point.  But Shina, she was slightly upset because she ended up with the person who would be likely to watch her like a hawk if she ever walked out of his sight.

The beginning of their jog was awkward, but over the course of a few minutes the mood began to lighten as Fushiguro pointed out a few things such as landmarks to remember if she were to get lost.

"I see." She was intrigued, "Thanks for letting me know." She side glanced at Fushiguro.

They had almost reached the center of town when Shina came to a stop, 'There's one here.' She discreetly looked around.

Noticing that she had stopped, Fushiguro walked back towards her, "What's wrong?"

"Ah, nothing." She breathed out, "I was just thinking what's in that direction." She pointed towards the area where she felt one of Sukuna's fingers.

Fushiguro turned her head in the direction she had pointed at, "There's a couple of empty lots there, and some construction." He said as he lightly squinted as if trying to see further away.

She took in a deep breath trying to catch her breath, "Can we go see it?" She asked as she pulled out a water bottle from her bag and handed it to Fushiguro who accepted it.

"If you want."

"I'd like to see it."

___________________________________________________________________________________________

There wasn't much to see in a construction site, aside from machinery, and tools around.  But that made things easier for her.  She didn't need to dig if she were able to find a finger.

She walked towards the place trying to get closer but was stopped by Fushiguro who grabbed onto her arm to stop her.  Which nearly made her nose flare in exasperation.

"I've never really seen a site this big for construction." She lied, "Can't we take this chance to rest a little bit?"

After debating for a while Fushiguro agreed, "Only for a while."

Shina smiled and sighed at the same time, "In the meantime I'll look around.  I'm not going to touch anything."

After making sure that Fushiguro was looking elsewhere, she quickly ducked into some of the machinery and began to follow the familiar feeling.

She was surprised that she could sense it, and Fushiguro couldn't, let alone a cursed spirit.  But according to what Sukuna had said, some of the fingers still have a good enough seal that it wasn't easy to sense by anyone or anything .... yet.

But he was different.

It didn't take long for her to search, she had found it fairly quickly.  Too quickly that it seemed rather creepy.

'Is Sukuna helping me from the other side?' She wondered, "Oh wait, he's not dead.   Can he be considered as dead?" She softly mused to herself.

Once in her grasp, just like the first one she wrapped the seal on it and put it in the very bottom of her bag under everything she had in there.

Everything seemed to be going well after she had found the second finger.  But on June 23rd, when she found the third finger .... the finger wasn't the only thing found.  She was found holding the finger by Gojo.

The beginning of next chapter seems like it'll be interesting, can't wait to type up that part.

What did you think of this chapter?  I feel like I kind of rushed things on this chapter.

So, that's it for now.  Hope you enjoyed it.
