The Finale pt.3

This was not good, the villains had her blocked on all sides. She was drained of energy, her breaths were heavy and she could feel the sharp pain that starting rising in the back of her head.

'This is definitely not good.'

"NO! KURAYAMI!!" From above, just as Kirishima had grabbed hold of Bakugo's hand and pulled him, they could see Shiro still below them being surrounded by the League of Villains.

"She's still down there?!" Iida shouted.

"No! She tried to get out, but a villain stopped her!" Midoriya was worried now, they couldn't possibly turn back, they were already almost across the whole battle. If they turned back, they wouldn't be able to escape anymore.

"Crap! What are we gonna do?!"

"There's nothing we can do! We don't have a choice but to have her fend her own first until another Hero comes!"

"Are you fucking kidding me?! You shitheads are just gonna leave her?!"

"We can't risk it, Bakugo! If we turn back, we'll all get caught!"

The four of them were conflicted, they didn't want to leave Shiro down there by herself. But they couldn't think of any other option.

Down there, the villains were closing in on Shiro. And she couldn't find a way to run, she was totally blocked off from every side.

"We can't let them escape! Who's got a long-distance attack?!" She could hear Compress talking, he was with two other villains -Magne and Spinner- were out of the circle that was surrounding her.

"You two! Stick together!" Magne had used her Quirk, shooting Compress into the air and towards the others. But he was stopped, by Mt. Lady suddenly enlarging herself and blocking him. Then that speedy old man arrived too, knocking Magne and Spinner out instantly.

'Thank god...' Shiro was relieved that they wouldn't get the others, they had to get out of here. Even if she were stuck here, it was better than all of them being stuck.

But as she looked around at the villains that surrounded, she really felt helpless right now. She really didn't know how to get out of this one.

"Shiro!" Both Shoto and Yaoyorozu were about to run to regroup with the others, but when they saw that Shiro was still there, they stopped in their tracks. "The villains have her trapped!"

They were watching in horror at the scene, as Shiro was unable to reactivate her Quirk and villains were about to capture her again. No, they didn't want their classmate to be taken away from them again. Not when they were so close.

Then something, a memory, came into Shoto's mind. He remembered what Shiro had mentioned about Keii and his unique abilities:"a sort of transformation type Quirk. Increases instincts, size, and fierceness"

Now his attention was to the cat in his arms again, who looked up at him with the same gaze.

"Keii, you can get to Shiro right?" He asked him, the feline meowing in response. Yaoyorozu was perplexed at what Shoto was doing, talking to a cat like that. "Todoroki, what are you doing?"

"Shiro really needs your help right now. So please, help us save her." Gently putting him down to the ground, Shoto only watched as Keii made distance between himself and them.

Right as he was a few feet apart from them, what Shoto and Yaoyorozu saw looked like he was emitting smoke from his body. The smoke had grew and engulfed Keii into it, blocking their sights. "Todoroki, what is going on here?"

"Just watch." Was all he replied her with, his eyes still fixed on the giant smoke cloud in front of them.

Then, just as the smoke was finally lifting, what looked to be a giant black paw had stepped out of the cloud. And with it, came a just as enormous form of a cat. It had towered over them so much that Shoto had to look up in order to see its head.

The cat looked down to meet the stares of both Shoto and Yaoyorozu, who tired her best to keep in her gasp. "T-that's Keii...?" He had glaring red eyes that didn't waver at the sight of the two, standing tall with his tail that swished in a calm manner behind him.

"It seems so." Shoto was amazed, mesmerised at the sight of the Quirk that Shiro's supposed house cat possessed.

Keii could possibly be twice -or maybe thrice- as tall as he was. His fur didn't look as groomed anymore, and the tip of his tail had what looked like a black flame of sorts shriveling and swirling.

He marvelled at the sight in front of him, Shoto took steps forward to Keii, a hand stretched out. "Keii?"

The feline stared down at the hand, then to the person of said hand, who only gazed back with an unwavering sense of trust and confidence. Neither of them made a sound.

Then, Keii close his eyes and bowed his head low, to the level where Shoto's hand could feel his black fur against his palm. The deep rumbles of purring from Keii vibrated against his palm, and he smiled. This was a sign of trust, between him and Keii.

As Keii reopened his eyes and pulled away from his hand, the feline lowered his body as if a sign for him to get on his back. Shoto nodded and climbed up, calling Yaoyorozu to get on as well as he helped her up.

"Now, let's go save Shiro." Keii had jumped over the fallen over debris and broken walls that stood between them and the villains, leaping high into the air with just one pounce.

Shoto could see that they were about to land right in the middle of the fight, where Shiro was surrounded by villains. And just as Keii had touched the ground, he instinctively circled and blocked Shiro -his guardian and partner- from the villains.

His pupils were in slits, and they glared at the villains, who were startled by the sight of the large creature. With teeth bared, Keii gave out a menacing growl that was similar to the growls of lions that protected their cubs.

Shiro was startled upon seeing the sight of Keii using his Quirk and jumping right in front of her like that. She never expected for him to be here at all.

"Shiro!" Then the voice snapped her gaze to the two people that sat on Keii's back, seeing both Shoto and Yaoyorozu who only looked back at her with relief and urgency in their eyes. "Hurry, take my hand!"

"Guys..." They had come for her, even when they couldn't the first time, they still came back for her. She nodded, grabbing Yaoyorozu's hand as she pulled her up onto Keii as well.

"Boy am I glad to see you guys again." She couldn't help the smile on her face upon being able to see her friends and her cat again. Shiro stroked a hand along Keii's fur. "It's been so long since I've seen you use your Quirk, buddy."

Keii was still fending off any of the villains from coming any closer to them by remaining hostile, so he couldn't respond to her just yet.

"It's time for us to get out of here, Keii!" Shoto called out to the cat, who growled in response, glaring at the villains once more before jumping out of the battlefield.

The League of Villains were still stunned by the sudden appearance of the giant feline beast that pounced on them. And now the heroes were getting away, their plan had failed.

But even with the shock of defeat that lingered in the villains, it didn't mean they wouldn't stop fighting. With her knife in hand, Toga pulled it back and threw it into the air with as much strength as she could.

The blade was flying fast in their direction, more so aiming towards Shiro who sat at the back of the three.

Maybe it was a moment that she felt grateful for her mother's strenuous training. With her quick reactions, she was able to dodge from the knife possibly impaling her skull. But even with her fast reflexes, the knife had still cut the side of her cheek, just under her left eye.

And as it continued to dart pass her face, it not just cut her skin.

She could feel the weight of her hair lessen, and the feeling of the cold night breeze now nipping at her exposed neck. Now the shortened ends of her hair barely just brushing against her shoulders.

Shiro could care less about the drops of blood that seeped out of the cut on her cheek, she was staring down to the locks of hair that drifted in the wind. The hair that she had grew to be confident of and take pride with, now all chopped off just like that.

"My hair..." She muttered, now only staring sadly at the strands of black and white only disappeared from her sights. It was weird to have her hair now shoulder-length, it was like the weight didn't feel balanced anymore.

They were out of the battlefield now, having landed into a silent area deserted of people other than Kirishima and the others. The other group had been there waiting to rendezvous with them here.

And let's just say seeing Keii transformed wasn't something they had expected.

"It's the others- WAIT WHOA WHAT'S THAT?!" Was Kirishima's reaction upon spotting Keii, he was even more shocked when Shiro, Shoto and Yaoyorozu came down from the feline's back.

"Don't worry guys, it's just Keii." With a laugh, Shiro smiled at them before stroking a hand across Keii's fur, the feline purring at the touch of his owner.

"Kurayami!" They couldn't believe their eyes, she had gotten out of there! Kirishima, Midoriya and Iida could feel relief flooding their bodies, ridding the guilt that filled them earlier. "You're okay!"

"As okay as I'll ever be. It's a miracle that you guys brought Keii along." The cat himself purred again, a sudden puff of smoke engulfing his body until it revealed Keii in his original size, now in Shiro's arms.

"We're glad you're okay now, Shiro." She turned her attention to Shoto, who had been standing silent the whole time of their reunion. Shiro held a smile on her face, and the sight of her smiling had his heart fluttering again.

"Thank you for coming to save us, everyone. But her eyes were solely on him, her eyes locked onto his. As if words were spoken through their gaze. "Thank you for saving me, Shoto."

It wasn't until after a few moments of silence that Bakugo spoke up.

"Oi, your hair." Then everyone else finally noticed the difference. Some of them had gasped from the sight of her hair now short. Shiro awkwardly combed through it with her hand. "Ah that, when we were getting out a knife came at me and I barely dodged it."

The group of young heroes, after regrouping and sharing their equal amounts of relief and happiness upon seeing their captured -now rescued- classmates, had exited the deserted area to somewhere else just to watch the news on what was happening to All Might.

But what they didn't expect was to see him turn into a less muscular, terribly thin and lanky version of the top hero they all knew and admire.

It wasn't something that they could bear to watch, their hearts were all pounding, scared for the hero's well-being against the villain. Shiro, regardless of her injuries, stood along with the rest of the people to cheer on All Might.

The sight was heart-breaking to everyone, to watch All Might at his limits. The people were shedding tears for their Symbol of Peace. Their pillar of light against the evil that threatened to wipe them out.

But with one final cry, one final punch. It was done, All Might had done it. As society's peace bringer, he had vanquished that evil.

"Now it's your turn!"
