Hanuel's pov
Someone once to say it was not the stars that hold our destiny but in ourselves but I believes that happens, happens for a reason.
-Nicholas Sparks,the best of me
Life was messy. Always had been and always would be and that was just the way it was, so why bother complaining. We either did something about it or we didn't, and then we lived with the choice we made.
What about Wonwoo? Why his life was so complicating. It was more messier than the typical one.

Wonwoo's pov
Wiping my tears I walked out of the house locking the door behind me to my car.Today I got call from Hoshi that he wanted to meet me at the city downtown. Alone.
After hearing Mingyu's story,I tried to avoid Mingyu and Hanuel because I worried they will get hurt by Hoshi, once again.
I grabbed my painkiller in my backpack but Hanuel grabbed my arm and pulled me back towards her until our body touched.I hadn't realized she was coming at me but I really captivated by her eyes.
Her facial expression changed from pain to anger within seconds as she let go of me.
"Where are you going?"Hanuel voiced out as I got into the car.
"Somewhere far away."I simply stated, tried to calm down but she was stupid if she didn't know where I was heading to.
"Please don't meet Hoshi,"she begged as she held my hand very tight this time, insisting to let me go.
There she was.She wasn't stupid at all,did she read my mind?
"I think this is my fault because I let you guys involve with this problems and crimes."As much as I tried to act strong I couldn't help but falter once I looked into Hanuel's eyes again.
Does she think this is my fault?I wanted to touch her but controlled myself.
"You don't have to go."She insisted."It's n-not your fault, please don't go.Hoshi is crazy bastard. If you want to go,go with us.We can defeat him together."She said, her eyes were getting puffy and red.
"Why do you care? You probably hate me."I yelled. No matter how much I love her, after all I've done to her I wouldn't be surprised if she really hate me.
"Why do I care?I CARE BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!"Hanuel yelled.
My head flew up and I looked at her in surprise. She loved me?Why I didn't realize that?
Is it because I'm too selfish with myself.
"Too bad I can't say the same,"my heart was tearing into small pieces.Pieces only Hanuel could stitch back together.
"I promised you that I was gonna protect you,and I will whether you like it or not,"she promised.
Not being able to handle it anymore,I started the car and pressed the engine.I leaved Hanuel.
She don't deserved it.
I'm really sorry.
As I arrived and walked to the alley that had been mention earlier,Hoshi was there standing with a fake smile plastered on his face."Tell me.Just fucking tell me,"I pleaded desperation in my eyes.
I looked over and saw Hoshi standing with a gun in his hand.He still stared at me.
It took all the self-control I had with in me to turn back around and continue to walk off.
"Any last wishes?"Hoshi queried, pointing the gun straight to my head.
"Yes,"I nodded then I started playing thoughts.
Goodbye,Hanuel. This is the best of us.That's the perfect word that fits us.
Beep.beep.beep.Police sirens howled across the alley."Don't you dare to touch my boyfriend!"
I knew that voice.
"Wonwoo! Please don't leave me alone!"Hanuel squealed, turning at me with painful eyes that I can't even imagine. "You're still alive. And that means you'll love and be loved...and in the end, nothing else really matters."She continued.
"W-why you suffered alone all these years?"Hanuel slowly pacing her steps towards me and she passing by Hoshi who was standing between us.
"Because you aren't just someone I loved back then. You were my best friend, my best self and I can't imagine giving that up again." I hesitated searching for the right words.
Flashback
There was a short break in the rain, and Hanuel and I spent it strolling the quiet sidewalks, visiting the shops that were still open.
I offered my arm, and she clung to it as we slowly made our way back to the car. Back on the highway, the rain started again.
The rainfall was steady on the soft-top, like the passing of a distant train, and Hanuel found herself thinking about the day. Over our meal, she'd caught I staring at her more than once.
There was no one else on the road. Water flowed from the macadam into shallow gullies on either side of the highway.
When we reached the intersection, I gently applied the brakes. Surprising Hanuel, I brought the car to a stop.
The wipers moved the water from side to side. Raindrops glittered reflected the headlights. As the engine idled, I turned toward her, my face in shadow. She released the seat belt.
"It's so quiet,"she said, pulling her legs up and put her arms around her knees.
I cleared my throat,"do you think you'll ever come back here again?I asked.
"I don't know.If I knew it would stay like this, then yes. But I know it won't, because nothing lasts forever. And part of me wants to remember it because we meant together."Hanuel said, leaning out of the window.
"When I was a little girl,I really want to hold the moon in my hand."She muttered, staring outside the glass of the window.
"Tonight when the stars come out and the moon rises in the velvet sky, look outside the window, then raise your hand and place your fingers around the disk of light."I said, grabbing her hand and pointed it to the sky.
"There you go!It was easy.Who says you cannot hold the moon in your hand?"I said,we both smiled, smile with joy.
"Anyways,I'm not exactly acting like a married woman, am I?" Hanuel asked.
I traced a finger along the back of her hand. "Do you really want me to answer?"
"No,"she answered. "Not really. But it's... complicated. Marriage, I mean."
"Do you like being married?" I asked, my voice tentative.
Without answering my question right away she took a deep breath.
"Mingyu is a good man. Most of the time, anyway. But marriage isn't what people think it is. People want to believe that every marriage is this perfect balance, but it isn't."
"Why not?"I asked right after she finished her last sentence.
"Don't you know?" She looked at me. "It's because of you. Even when we were standing in the church and I was getting ready to take my vows, I can remember wishing that you were standing there, instead of him."
"I wasn't planning on loving you,but I'm happy that I did.I would never feel the same way about Mingyu."She captured my gaze, her face inched even closer, and she leaned her head back.
My lips grazed her neck first, then gently brushed her cheek and finally kissed, then.First hesitantly, then more passionately, making up for a lifetime apart.
End of the Flashback
The gun shot and the air shattered. The bullet tore through space and silence fell upon us in its wake. I spoke but my words were lost in the quiet.
"Hoshi!Don't!"Hanuel screamed, leaving me speechless as a bullet had bolted exactly on my gut.The vision went pitched black.
