You woke up the next morning to see Mettaton sitting up beside you, just looking at you. Of course, you were startled, and jumped.

"Mettaton! Where you watching me sleep???" You yelled.

"Yes, why? You looked so beautiful and peaceful!"

"Why!?"

"You're a gorgeous sleeper, darling!"

You sat up and yawned, still feeling the eyes of Mettaton on you. "Did you...er...Charge...well?"

"Yes, darling! And you, did you sleep well?"

"I guess so"

You turned to see your journal in a different place than you had left it, them remembered you had seen Mettaton putting it there last night.

"Mettaton, about last night, where you reading my journal?" You asked. You weren't sure if you wanted to know the answer.

His eyes shifted away from you, guiltily. "Maybe...?" He said.

You felt your heart pounding faster and faster. "And...What exactly did you read in it...?"

"Not much, dear! I do respect your privacy, you know!"

You weren't buying it. "Mettaton, what did you read?"

"Only...Only the part where you met me...?"

"Mettaton! That's personal! And you know it!"

His face got red and he looked at you the same way a puppy would. "I'm sorry, I wasn't aware!" He said.

You felt you were being to hard on him so you just let it go. "Sigh, let's just drop it and pretend I never said or wrote anything, Okey?" You asked.

He nodded and you got out of bed. You showered, ate breakfast, and put your makeup on.

Mettaton seemed bothered about something, but you couldn't tell what. You finally decided to talk to him about it.

"Mettaton, are you Okey?" You asked. "You haven't been yourself today..."

Mettaton sat up and crossed his legs. "I'm fine, darling! Just thinking!"

"About?"

"Well, dear...Alphys tells me the barrier was broken...Yet, only a few monsters have managed to leave..."

You stared at him, wide eyed. "When and how did that happen???"

"I'm not sure, deary, she said it happened last night...But..."

"But?"

"Alphys left without me...She's in the outside world..."

"She is??? Why hasn't anyone else left???"

Mettaton turned to you. "Only certain people are aloud at the moment, until things get cleared up"

You were now very confused. "And?"

He held your hands in his and asked, "Would you consider moving to the surface, darling? With me?"

Dang, Mettaton REALLY wants to go to the surface! Though, I'm kinda mad at Alphys for leaving him behind at first. Also, who else here would love for Mettaton to watch you sleep?(￣ω ￣)
