You and Mettaton walked to where Alphys and Undyne were, holding hands.

You whispered to Mettaton, "So, they're finally a thing, eh?"

Mettaton nodded and you both sat down beside them. You noticed how big the couch was, since it was able to fit all of you at the same time, with space still left for yourself.

Mettaton didn't seem to notice that, though. He sat extremely close to you. You were trying your best to get used to this kind of attention, but at the same time, you were trying not to squeal like a little girl.

"M-Mettaton! Thanks for joining! I-I know that you don't like anime all that much, but you came anyways!"

"Oh, I'd do anything for my darling (Y/N)" He said, wrapping his arm on your waist. "Though, what anime are we watching?"

Undyne saw what Mettaton did, and laughed. "You're the akward type just like 'ol Alphys, aren't 'Ya?"

"I guess...I'm just not used to this kind of...Physical contact..." You heard Mettaton chuckle robotically.

You paced around your bedroom restlessly. You and Alphys hadn't seen Mettaton in almost a week, and we're starting to get worried.

Maybe he's just hiding somewhere? You thought. Though, he didn't bring his Charger, so his batteries must be dead already

You couldn't go on any longer not knowing where he was and called Alphys to your house.

"Alphys, we have to try and find him! We can't just stand around Hoping he'll show up!"

Alphys twittled her thumbs and said, "(Y-Y/N) what do you expect me to do? His tracker's broken and h-he must be uncharged by now!"

You put your head in your hands, frustrated. "Well, we have to do something!"

You realized how loud you were getting and took a deep breath. You had grown to love Mettaton deeply, and the thought of him not coming back made you want to cry.

"Alphys...I'm sorry...I'm just worried..."

You suddenly had an idea. You ran to your closet and pulled out a metal detector. "Alphys, he's made of metal, correct?"

"Y-yes...All except his face and hands...Why?"

You showed her the metal detector. "We can try and use this!" You said. "The last time I saw him, we were in Snowdin, meaning he may possibly still be there!"

You both agreed to try it out, and emediatly left for Snowdin.

Once you got there, you saw Sans and Papyrus throwing snowballs at each other. "Hey, sans!" You called.

Sans casually walked over to you and Alphys. "Heya, (Y/N). What's up?"

"H-have you seen Mettaton?" Alphys asked.

You added, "He went missing a few days ago, and we last saw him here."

Sans thought for a second and said, "Huh, I think I saw him at Grilby's three or four days ago."

You looked at Alphys and nodded. She seemed to understand what you meant, so she picked up the metal detector and started toward Grilby's.

"Thanks, sans!" You said, turning away.

You and Alphys took turns searching for about an hour, when the detector suddenly beeped. As you went further and further, the beeping got faster and faster. It finally had a steady beep, so you started to dig.

You dug and dug till finally you hit your hand on something metal. You were pretty sure you hurt one of your fingers badly, but kept digging.

Finally, you could see the colors black and pink, and began to cry tears of joy. It was Mettaton.

You called to Alphys and she helped you lift him up and out of the snow. Alphys reassured you that he had done no damage to himself, then you, Alphys, and the seemingly lifeless body of Mettaton went back to the lab.
