Charlotte's POV

Ten minutes before the audition and I am freaking out! I have never been so nervous in my life. "Charlie you're going to do fine honey" My dad reassured. I just looked at him with a look of terror. I seriously need to calm down before something really does going wrong while I'm on stage. My dad pulled into the stadium that the auditions are being held at and parked in a reserved spot, those spots are for the people auditioning. I unbuckled my seat belt and got out of the car. I then took a big deep breath. I am the third one to go on stage to sing so I need to be calm and collected before I go up there. I grabbed my guitar and my dad grabbed my keyboard and we walked up to the security guy. "Do you have an entrance pass?" The big security guard asked. I looked at my dad and he was wearing both passes around his neck. The guard flipped them around to see the front, examined them then nodded and let us through. I went into the room where I saw everyone else waiting and some were practicing. I put my guitar strap on over my shoulder and slowly began strumming it, the only way I am ever able to calm myself down is to play the guitar. I love the soothing sound an acoustic guitar makes, it relaxes me and helps me focus a lot more. I didn't even realize I was starting to sing until I opened my eyes and everyone had stopped practicing and were looking at me. I blushed and stopped singing "Uh sorry everyone!" I said with a blush. "No No, that was really amazing!" A boy with bluish green-eyes said. I smiled at him "Thank you" I said. I seemed to get along with everyone which is a good thing! I started practicing a little more before the auditions began.

Nick's POV

Seriously just do not want to be here right now, I love my fans but I don't want to cry in front of them. I took a deep breath and exhaled. I was walking passed the practice room and I heard the most beautiful voice, something I haven't heard in a long time. I wanted to take a look inside to see who was singing but there's three minutes left, I can wait. I walked through some doors to get the judges table. I sat in the middle of Demi and Simon. They greeted me hello and the auditions finally began.

Charlotte's POV

It's MY turn to go on stage and I was absolutely nervous. The cameras were rolling back stage and they filmed me giving my dad a hug. I took a deep breath and walked out on stage. Do not look at Nick. Okay look at him but be extremely calm. "Hello there, What's your name?" Simon asked "My name is Charlotte Ross" I said into the microphone with a smile. Simon gave me a small smile "Alright, How old are you and what are you going to be singing for us?" He asked "I am eighteen years old and I'm going to be singing Breathe (2am) " I said again while someone else set up my keyboard for me. "Thank you" I said to him and he smiled at me then walked backstage. I decided against using a song I wrote for the audition.  I walked over to my keyboard and I put the microphone in the holder took and deep breath, exhaled and began playing my song.

I held out the last note perfectly then looked at the judges. All of them had shocked looks on their faces. "W-wow, that was really just amazing." Demi said being the first one to speak up. "I agree! You really sang that song beautifully and hit every note perfectly" Simon said. Both Demi and Simon looked at Nick for his reaction. He seemed rather star struck "That really was amazing Charlotte, truly amazing" Nick said still a little shocked and that means I was going on through the show. I smiled widely at the judges and thanked them then walked backstage and started flipping out. I gave my dad the biggest hug and he congratulated me. I went back to the practice room and watched the rest of the auditions.

Nick's POV

And there she was, she was standing on the stage. The girl I saw at the hotel and the girl I heard in the practice room. I couldn't stop thinking about her face or her voice, I was so distracted that Demi and Simon were getting a little annoyed but soon the auditions were over and the finalists would be able to speak to the judges and meet with them for ten minutes. My main focus was to find Charlotte. I stood up and followed Demi and Simon to the practice room and looked around for Charlotte. I didn't see her, everyone crowded around me and I signed a couple autographs until I heard the sound of a guitar playing, an acoustic one to be exact. Everyone turned and looked at Charlotte, they all looked rather shocked that she wasn't freaking out right now and I have to admit I was rather shocked too. Charlotte looked up and realized we were all watching her "Sorry! The sound of an acoustic guitar relaxes my nerves" She said honestly. We all just continued to watch her and listen. I need to call Joe and Kevin. I want this girl to be mine and that isn't good. This isn't good. I don't want to get hurt, not for the ninth time.
