Charlotte's POV

"That was beautiful Charlie!" My friend Heather screamed at me through the phone. The auditions were live and from what Heather told me, the entire school was posting on Facebook and Twitter about it. I don't really like social media so I didn't know about that. "Thanks Heather" I said. I had the biggest smile on my face and I can't seem to lose it. "So. when you're famous and touring are you gonna forget about little 'ole me?" Heather asked. I laughed "I could never forget my sister, heck you're coming with me!" I shouted at her "There's no way I'm going to be touring without my sister by my side" I said. "Good. I'd very sad if you forgot about me" She said. I let out a giggle "Charlotte there's someone here to see you" I heard my dad say from the other room. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "I'll call you back Heather okay? Don't fall asleep on me!" I said. She giggled and we hung up. I stood up and walked over to the second room of the hotel and stood behind my dad who was standing in front of the door. He moved aside so I could see who was at the door and there he was with his two other brothers. I inhaled deeply the exhaled to keep myself from screaming. "I guess these three would like you to go to their room and talk?" My dad said with a questioning tone, not knowing if he should allow me to go. "It'll just be for maybe five minutes at the least" Joe said. My dad was looking at me waiting for me to move. I nodded my head nervously "I'll be okay dad, I'll be right back I promise." I gave him a quick and tight hug then followed Nick and his brothers to Nick's room. Once inside they all looked at me. "Nick tells us you were so amazing at your audition, you hit every note and pitch perfectly. Unfortunately, we missed the auditions on TV, so we were wondering if you could do your performance again?" Kevin asked. "And we don't normally do this but Nick was going on and on about how amazing you were, Kev and I just want to see for ourselves. If you don't mind of course." Joe said. I was blushing so hard I'm pretty sure I looked like a tomato. I worked up the courage to speak "I don't mind at all, er do you have a guitar or a keyboard I can play on?" I asked politely yet nervously. Nick took my hand and led me to a keyboard that was already set up. "Thank you" I said with a nervous smile. I took a deep breath and stood behind the keyboard then began to play Breathe (2am) again. As I was singing I noticed that Nick was trying hard not to smile at me and I didn't understand why. After the song all three of them were staring at me in awe. I smiled at them "How was that?" I asked curiously. "Like I said at the auditions, you are amazing. You have quite the talent Charlotte" Nick said. I could see Joe and Kevin chuckling at Nick and I and that's when I realized, my face was burning. I was probably redder than a tomato at this point. "Well how would you like to join us for lunch tomorrow Charlotte?" Kevin asked with a smirk on his face. I bit my tongue to keep from screaming or crying and I just nodded. Nick was actually glaring at Kevin and I was extremely confused. Does he not want me to go to lunch with him? I mentally frowned at least I thought I did. When I looked up from the keyboard, they were looking at me again with concerned looks. "Everything okay Charlotte?" Nick asked. "U-uh yeah, I'm fine" I stuttered. "So would you like to join us?" Joe asked. I just smiled and nodded. "Nice, we'll be at your room to get you around noon okay?" Nick said. I nodded with smile. "Okay" I said. Nick pulled his phone out and then handed it to me with a new contact template pulled up on it. "Put your number in?" He asked. I was mentally screaming as typed in my cellphone number and put my name in as "Charlie". I then handed his phone back to him after saving it. He gave me smile "Thanks, I'll text you later okay?" He said. I nodded again then left the room to go back to mine.

Nick's POV

After Charlotte was out of the room and I was certain she couldn't hear us, I looked at Joe and Kevin. "Really guys?! You invited her to join us for lunch?!" I shouted at them. "Dude, calm down, we're trying to help you find a better girl and I'm telling you, I think she might be that better girl." Kevin said "I don't want to get hurt again guys." I said "Give her chance man. She just might surprise you" Joe said. I sighed and nodded "Alright. Fine, I'll give her a chance, I am not jumping into a relationship with her right away though. I want to get to know her first." I said. "Good. We want you to take things slow this time." Kevin said. I nodded again and laid down. "I am exhausted" I said. "Well get some sleep bro, we'll be back tomorrow for lunch" Joe said. I nodded again and they left. I stared at the ceiling for a good fifteen minutes until I decided to text Charlotte. I looked for her name in my contacts and chuckled at how she put her name in my phone. I clicked her name then texted her "Hey Charlie, it's Nick :)" I said. She replied immediately. We had a long conversation and she finally said she was tired and was going to sleep. I learned a lot about her with just this simple phone conversation. I now like her 20 times more than I did before and pretty soon I ended up falling asleep with her on my mind.
