**Geto POV**
"You know, your friend Y/n seems interesting," Satoru smirked as he sat down next to me.
He met her briefly the other day when I saw her in the park. I was really hoping to spend time with her, but she left almost immediately after Satoru showed up.
Now, every time I had a moment alone with him, he asked about her.
"Mm?" I mumbled as I focused in on my laptop, trying to finish up a report from a recent mission.
These first years were strong, but they were causing a bit of a mess, and I was the one stuck cleaning it up since Satoru was hopeless.
He sat back and crossed his legs, "I sensed some heightened curse energy from her."
"Well she does work at a hospital."
I noticed it during our first meeting too, but quickly shrugged it off given her profession. The things she saw everyday, it was easily explainable why she would be carrying it.
"Sure, sure," he waved me off. "But I think it's more than that."
"I think you're just paranoid," I stopped to finally look over at him. As much as I hated to admit it, this conversation definitely had my attention now.
He smirked as he leaned in a bit, "You forget my six eyes, Suguru. If I say it's more than that, then it is. We may have been tied at some point, but I'm the stronger one now."
I kept a blank face as I stared at him. His cockiness never failed to annoy me. And the fact he constantly underestimated me, it got old.
He laughed his loud, obnoxious laugh, "Ah Suguru! I'm just teasing you!! You're too easy. All I'm saying is you should keep an eye out for more signs."
I sighed as I returned to my work. He might be right, but there was no way I would say that or even indicate it.
"That is," he continued. "If you plan on seeing her again? If not, maybe I'll go see her myself." He snickered to himself.
I quickly shut my laptop screen and stood up, deciding I couldn't take another moment of this tonight.
"Suguru!! Where are you going?!" he yelled out through laughter. "Ahh come on! Come back!"
I couldn't help but smirk as I continued to walk away. As frustrating as he could be, Satoru knew me better than anyone, and I have a feeling he had that conversation on purpose.
I definitely wanted to see Y/n again, and I know I didn't hide my interest in her very well. So after he said all that, I needed to go see her right now. It had only been a few days since our last run in, but I was out of patience.
I walked towards the hospital, debating the entire way there. I hope I don't completely scare her off with this... Then again, it would be much worse if I had another 'accidental' run in with her. She was suspicious enough last time.
I walked up to the front desk of the ER waiting room and cleared my throat slightly to get the attention of the woman sitting there.
She slowly picked her head up from the file on her desk, "How can I help?"
"Well, actually, I'm here to see Dr. L/n... Y/n L/n."
The woman eyed me carefully, clearly skeptical, "We typically don't have patients request a specific doctor... What seems to be the problem? Is there something I can help you with?"
I actually felt flustered. I should've expected this, but I didn't. Why did I think they'd let me just waltz in and see her?
"She actually gave me stitches recently. I was hoping she could take a look."
Not a total lie, but my wound was already healed completely. Once I got back to Jujutsu High, Shoko finished up the process. And Y/n was well aware that my stitches were gone now.
The women nodded, apparently believing me, "I see. Well, you'll actually want to have a follow up with your primary care provider. Unless there seems to be a problem, then I can have you start on the paperwork and someone can see you in a bit."
"Oh, uh, no. There's no problem," I mumbled with a bit of embarrassment. I couldn't just say I was here to ask her out... I'd probably get escorted out.
An ER room in downtown Tokoyo, I can't even imagine all the people Y/n sees on a daily basis. They might think I'm some crazy guy obsessed with her.
"Geto?" a voice called out, and I turned around to see Y/n walking through the automatic doors of the entrance. I smiled at the sight of her in her scrubs as she pushed her glasses further up her nose.
"I didn't know you wore glasses," I smiled.
She crossed her arms nervously as she stood in front of me, giving a wary glance to the nurse who was now watching us closely. "Why are you here?" she asked.
"It's just, uh, you told me and Satoru this is the hospital you worked at... So I thought I'd stop by."
"Satoru?" she questioned. I wanted to laugh at the fact she didn't even remember the infamous Gojo Satoru... I'd definitely have to tease him about that later.
But for now, I didn't make too big of a deal about it. She looked so uncomfortable. I honestly felt bad for putting her in this situation. I was not expecting it to go this way.
"Gojo. You met him at the park the other day."
"Oh, right," she nodded. I couldn't help but let out a soft sigh of relief as she finally relaxed her arms. "So what's up?" she kept her eyes locked onto me.
She was always so confident, so unfazed. Meanwhile, I could barely even think about anything as I stared into her eyes.
"Geto?" she asked again as her head tilted slightly to the side. "You ok?"
"Can I take you out?" I blurted.
She smirked at me, obviously amused by how flustered I was, "I'm working."
"R-right. I know. I meant like later," I mumbled as I rubbed my neck.
She checked her watch quickly, "Well I get off in an hour. You want to walk me home?"
"Oh! Yea. Sure! That sounds great.. I'll just, uh, meet you here in an hour?"
She nodded before walking away, calling out in a flirty voice, "Mm, bye Geto."
As she disappeared out of the waiting room, I let out a loud sigh, chuckling softly to myself. Why was that so damn difficult? You'd think I'd never even talked to a woman before.
"Smooth," the nurse teased, and I looked over to see her laughing slightly at me. I think my cheeks even turned red with how embarrassed I was. I completely forgot she was sitting there.
"I guess I'll be back then," I smirked at her before heading to the exit. It wasn't exactly a date, but at least I'd get to see her.
......
**Y/N POV**
I didn't know whether to be flattered or creeped out by the fact Geto showed up at my work. The sentiment was sweet I guess... Just unexpected.
I changed out of my scrubs once my shift was over, and instead of leaving through the staff exit, went back towards the front of the ER.
Geto stood right where I had left him earlier, his hands in his pockets as he chewed down on his bottom lip.
He was completely different than the man I had met in the alley. Another pleasant surprise considering he scared the shit out of me that night.
"Ready?" I asked him, snapping him out of his trance.
"Yea!" he answered a rather loudly, making me laugh. "I'll just follow you."
I nodded as I walked out of the hospital, holding onto the straps of my backpack.
"Can I hold that for you?" he offered as he reached for it, not even bothering to wait for my answer before helping me take the bag off my shoulders.
"Oh, thanks," I watched as he threw one strap over his shoulder. The strap barely even fit because of how broad his shoulders were... This man is literally built like a mountain.
"So how was your day?" he asked as we walked, making me quickly whip my head forward.
How many times has he caught me staring at him now? At least once every time I've seen him...
The conversation flowed so easily with him. It was a little shocking. He was so down to earth, so interested in everything I had to say.
He glanced down with a smirk every time I laughed, seeming so pleased that he was able to make me smile. My cheeks were hurting from the happiness by the time we reached my apartment.
It actually made me a little sad to think about because he really was amazing, but there was no way I'd be able to get into any type of relationship right now.
And I definitely didn't have the energy for random sex... Most people found it relaxing and enjoyable to just hook up, but for me it was draining and exhausting.
"Thanks for walking me," I smiled up at him as I took back my bag, bringing out my keys.
"Anytime. I could walk you home more often if you want? You really shouldn't be walking alone at night anyway."
I sighed, "Yea, don't remind me. Someday I'll get a car. Someday when I don't have a mountain of student loans to pay off."
He chuckled a bit even though I definitely wasn't joking, "When do you get off tomorrow? I'll meet you again."
I bit on my lip as I unlocked my door before returning my attention to him, "Geto, you're a really nice guy, but I just don't want you to get the wrong idea."
He nervously shoved his hands in his pockets, "The wrong idea?"
"Just, with work, I really don't have time for anything serious right now."
"Oh, I see..." he trailed off as he looked down. I was shocked to see how disappointed he looked. We had only met a couple times now. He can't possibly care that much.
"Well, you have time when you walk home right?" he smiled softly as his eyes returned to mine. "Can we just start there? I really want to keep getting to know you."
I raised a brow at him, letting a small smirk form as I thought it over.
Could he really be this good of a guy? I met him in an alleyway as he bled out from being stabbed... I'm obviously missing something here.
Either way, though. I couldn't deny there was something between us. Maybe it'd be worth it to just let it play out.
"I work a double tomorrow," I finally gave in. "If you're actually up and awake, then I'd love to walk with you."
His eyes instantly brightened, his smile beaming back at me, "Oh, I will definitely be there."
