*Geto POV*

I woke up alone in Y/n's room. When everyone went to sleep last night, I had to sneak in here. I needed to be closer to her.

And it really bummed me out that she was already up for the day. Sleepy Y/n is my favorite. She's always so adorable and cuddly when I wake her up in the morning.

I got up and quickly threw back on my shirt and sweats. After last night, I was so eager to see her.

She spent all night safely wrapped in my arms as we talked about anything and everything. We barely even slept, but it was so worth it.

I got to hear all about her home and her family. Memories with her parents and grandparents. How she fell in love with medicine and healing people. Her time learning piano and singing to her family.

There was so much to learn about her, but every time she opened up, I fell more in love... I really hope our kids take after her. She's so incredibly talented and passionate and confident.

She's everything I could hope for in a partner, and she never fails to leave me in awe, eager to be a better man for her.

I still felt so awful for ever doubting her.

"Hey, where's Y/n?" I asked as I made my way to the table where Nanami, Satoru, and Baba were already drinking tea and eating breakfast.

"She's helping out with some of the morning chores around the village," Baba answered without even looking up.

Of course she was. I'm not even surprised anymore. The selflessness of that woman was astounding.

"Do you think she needs some more help?" I asked as I started towards the front door.

"No need," Y/n smiled as she popped up in the doorway, taking off her shoes.

Her hair fell messily around her face, sticking slightly to her with a light frame of sweat. Dirt was smudged a bit on her cheeks and nose. But with the way she smiled, you'd think she just got back from vacation, not finished farm work.

I smiled as I walked up to her, "Hey, you should've woken me up too. I could've helped."

"That's ok," she stood on her toes to give me a gentle kiss. "You needed the sleep. You've been looking pretty exhausted lately."

"Friends, huh?" Baba called out before sipping on her tea, making Y/n laugh.

Y/n didn't know about my talk with her grandma, but as Baba glanced over at me, I could tell she was pleased. Someday I'd have to thank her for talking some sense into me.

"I'm going to shower, but you guys feel free to start looking around," Y/n spoke as she walked towards the back of the house.

"Hey, wait up," I called out, chasing after her.

She stopped and turned around to face me, tilting her head a bit, "Hmm? You good?"

I brought her into a hug, my knees feeling weak as she nuzzled into my chest, "Yea, just miss you."

"Cute," she let out a soft little giggle.

I tilted her head up to look at me, smiling as her bright eyes met mine, "Are you saying you don't miss me?"

"I did just spend all night with you."

"And now you'll be spending every night with me," I brought her into a soft kiss, letting my lips linger against hers. They were still cool for the morning breeze, and it sent chills across my skin.

I tried to deepen the kiss, wanting to taste even more of her, but she stopped me before I even got the chance.

"I really need to shower," she smiled as she pulled away.

"Was that an invitation?" I chuckled as I leaned down to try to kiss her neck.

She laughed loudly this time, "At my grandmother's home? Absolutely not."

"Have fun snooping around the village!" she waved back as she left me standing there.

I couldn't help but watch her until she disappeared behind the bathroom door, letting my eyes scan every inch of her body.

How the hell was I ever supposed to control myself with her around? My pulse started racing just thinking about all the things I wish I could do to her...

Imagining myself gripping the sides of her as she rode on top of me. Digging my nails into the soft flesh that looked so inviting, pushing myself further into her.

Aching for her to sit on my face and suffocate me with those thighs as I licked every inch of her. Grabbing her ass with my hands as she bent over, feeling it pressed up against me.

Making her moan my name out of pleasure.

I wanted every part of her, from her body to her soul and every fucking thing in between.

Satoru cleared his throat as he walked down the hallway, breaking me out of my trance, "Suguru? Can we go?"

"Oh, uh, yea," I mumbled as I turned around to follow him out, feeling flustered that my entire being was consumed by her even though she was already gone.

Satoru and Nanami didn't know yet that we were leaving tonight. I figured I'd go with them around the village first and act as normal as possible.

Our best bet was to let them know once we were back in the city, already packed up and ready to leave.

Just a few more hours. That's all I had to push through until she was safe and we were together.

**Y/n POV**

Suguru, Nanami, and the other one went off to look for who knows what around the village.

Seriously, what were they even hoping to find at this point? Do they think the protectors are stupid and careless?

Not that it mattered because there isn't shit here, and I'm sure they'd figure that out soon. Instead of following them around, I focused on myself and went to go visit my parents.

It had been well over a year now since I had been there, and the cemetery was peaceful this afternoon. I planned to bring Suguru here too, but that'd have to wait until he was finished with whatever else.

I couldn't help but smile to myself as I walked back to Baba's home. It had been such a long couple weeks, but things finally felt like they were falling into place.

"Hello?" I called out as I walked into the house, sensing its emptiness.

I for sure thought they'd be back by now, unless they somehow did manage to find something. I tried to wrack my brain of what could be holding them up, but there really wasn't anything here.

"Baba?" I called again as I looked around all the rooms. It was completely silent.

I wanted to be excited to get a moment alone, but something was off.

I went out back to see if maybe they were eating lunch or drinking tea out there. I sighed at the sight of a deserted patio.

"Y/n..." a raspy voice huffed out my name just as I was about to go back inside.

I frantically looked around, I hadn't seen anyone before, but that was definitely Nanami's voice.

"Nanami?" I called back, thinking maybe I had just completely lost it and gone crazy. I was about due for a mental breakdown, so it wouldn't be that surprising.

"Y/n." Nope, definitely real. And he sounded like he was in pain.

"Nanami!" I yelled as I ran towards the voice.

I found him sitting, tucked back on the side of the house, leaning up against the wall in between some bushes. He was well hidden from anyone not looking, but what the hell would he be hiding from?

I immediately crouched down in front of him, observing the fucked up state he was in. I couldn't tell what his injury was, but the bottom of his shirt was soaked in blood as he held onto his abdomen.

"Nanami, what the hell happened?" I asked in a panic, unsure of whether I should patch him up or go take off looking for Baba and Suguru.

He shook his head as if he was reading my mind, "G-go help the others.."

My heart dropped as he said that. Who needed my help? And who the bell was here?

"Where Nanami?"

He nodded and pointed out towards the tree line. Baba's house was at the edge of the village, a typically serene and peaceful view.

But as I glanced back over to the forest, I felt terrified of what I might find.

"You sure you'll be ok?"

"I've handled much worse. It's not as bad as it looks."

"Shit, ok," I muffled still feeling conflicted, but I would trust Nanami's judgement on just about anything.

I quickly pulled off my sweater, making him hold it against his wound, "Keep this there. It'll help."

He winced at the new pressure, but obeyed the direction.

"I-in the clearing. Hurry."

"Right," I stood up and dashed off towards the woods.

This is not at all how I pictured today going. Who would even know that we were way out here? And what would they be looking for?

Whoever this was, they were strong enough to injure Nanami which meant they were a real threat to the village.

Suguru and Satoru could handle themselves, but even so, I felt sick at the thought of Suguru confronting a fight alone.

And I swear if someone touches Baba, I'll make the whole fucking world burn.
