There was a subtle knock at my door, and all of us got quiet, unsure who would be here or why.

I walked around the two friends and ventured towards the door, shocked when I opened and saw the two students standing there.

"Hey there," I smiled at them.

"Is now a bad time?" Maki asked as she glanced over to Suguru and Gojo.

I shook my head, "Not at all. What's up?"

"Well we know you're staying here this week, and we have a question for you," Nobara spoke up.

"Let's hear it," Gojo called out. He was such a nosy bastard, and I could tell the two girls were feeling a little hesitant now.

Maki looked into my eyes, "While you're here, will you train us?"

Gojo scoffed slightly at the question.

I smiled at them both, "I'd love to. Anything specific you have in mind?"

It was quiet for a moment as they looked at each other, probably unsure as if they should say everything in front of Gojo and Suguru.

"You put that asshole in his place!" Maki blurted out, her calm demeanor changing to a slight desperation. "I need to be able to do that! I don't want to be looked down on anymore."

Nobara smirked as she stared at Maki. I had already liked these two when I met them earlier, but now I was even more excited about being around them.

"I saw your staff earlier," I looked at her. "You're a cursed tool user?"

She nodded, her eyes piercing with determination.

"What about you?" I looked at Nobara.

Suguru walked over and stood next to me, "Kugisaki is incredibly strong. She has an innate technique where she uses weapons as well."

"Maki," he continued. "She has a heavenly restriction like you. In exchange for her inability to use cursed energy, she has some of the most amazing physical abilities I've ever seen."

I nodded as I listened to him tell me about the two students, thinking of ways I might be able to help them both.

"I'm impressed," I smiled at them. "I'll meet you out on the fields tomorrow then."

They both beamed back at me, bowing and saying thank you before taking off again. I was actually really looking forward to tomorrow now.

I looked up at Suguru who was smiling softly at me, "What?"

"You're just so incredible."

The love and sincerity in his voice caused me to blush, and I quickly looked away, feeling overwhelmed and flustered by the way he continued to stare at me.

Gojo scoffed as he shook his head, "I don't know how you have everyone fooled, Y/n. But I see who you are."

He walked closer to us, "I see you. And I don't trust you. Nor do I like you very much, so don't put your guard down just yet."

"Satoru..." Suguru's voice was laced with disappointment, but Gojo continued to storm out of the room.

It hurt me to know that he really didn't trust me. That was Suguru's best friend, and I would never want to get in between them.

"Gojo! Wait," I called out as I rolled my eyes and ran after him.

I was well aware that I had been all over the place today with my emotions, but still... I really am a caring person. I'd do anything for Suguru or Gojo or really anyone, whether or not I knew them very well.

As detrimental as it was, putting others before myself was engrained in me since birth. It's part of my creed as a protector and even as a doctor, and I tried to live up to that.

"What?" he mumbled as he faced me with his arms crossed.

"I'll lift up the current seal on the Time Turner if you promise it'll remain under your jurisdiction, and not with anyone else I met today."

"Really?" his voice sounded shocked as he uncrossed his arms and put his hands in his pockets.

I nodded, "I don't trust those other men, but you're Suguru's best friend, and I trust you."

He sighed, "Well I still mean what I said to you. This doesn't really change that."

"That's fine," I shrugged. "Maybe it'll at least be a step in the right direction."

"And what direction would that be?" he raised a brow at me.

"Gojo, I really am in love with Suguru, so I want to make sure you and I are on good terms."

He nodded slowly before speaking up in a low voice, "I think he's too good for you."

Hearing him say that felt like getting punched in this face...

"I know he is," I agreed in almost a whisper as I looked down at my feet.

I felt like breaking down right there. Gojo wasn't wrong, and it made my heart heavy to have my biggest fear confirmed.

"So. The Time Turner?" he asked annoyed.

"Right," I said in shaky voice as I wiped my eyes and looked back up at him. "Where is it?"

"I'll take you there."

"One more condition," I called out as he began to walk away.

"Fucking of course," he grumbled as he whipped back around. "Quit playing games and just tell me."

My eyes widened a bit because it really wasn't a big deal at all, "Oh, uh, well, just if anything happens to you. The back-up seal will put the hourglass back under my protection."

"Oh..." he trailed off. "Yea, that's fine."

He began to walk away again, and I just stared for a moment, feeling very conflicted by everything that had happened these last 24hrs.

"You sure about this?" Suguru asked as he walked up and put his hand on my shoulder.

I sniffled softly and forced a smile, "Yea."

I really hope he didn't hear what Gojo said. I didn't want him mad at his friend, nor did I want him to realize he really did deserve better than anything I could ever offer him.

He narrowed his eyes at me, "What happened? Why are you crying?"

I shook my head, "I just love you a lot."

He grabbed my face in hands pulling me in to a gentle kiss, his lips curled up in a smile as he did so.

"Come on," Gojo groaned. "It's getting late."

"He's right," I pulled away. "Let's go."

**Geto POV**

I don't know what Satoru and Y/n talked about in the hallway earlier, but something was off now. They were both so quiet and gloomy. It was unlike either of them.

We followed Satoru into a room on the far side of campus and I was a bit surprised to see Fushiguro and Itadori here.

"You left it with students?" Y/n asked.

Satoru shrugged, "I don't really trust those assholes you met earlier either."

"Y/n-sensei!" Itadori yelled with a smile. "We took good care of your gold thingy! Don't worry!"

Fushiguro brought it out and handed it to her.

"Thank you," she smiled softly at them. "I'm not worried. You two are very capable."

Itadori's eyes sparked while Fushiguro's cheeks tinted pink and he looked away from her. I almost wanted to laugh because I definitely remember what it was like as a high schooler around the cute, older sorcerers.

"Alright, time to undo whatever binding curse you put on this thing," Satoru huffed.

Y/n just nodded and sat on the floor, getting ready to do whatever it was she was about to do.

"What are you doing?" Satoru questioned, and I was glad I wasn't the only one who was confused.

"This just takes a lot out of me," she answered plainly as she closed her eyes. "And if I pass out, I don't want to be standing."

"Pass out?" I couldn't help but get worried.

Satoru let out an annoyed scoff. I don't understand what his problem with her is...

Everything considered, she's handling today pretty well, and she's helping him with this when she didn't have to.

If he had been kidnapped, or felt betrayed or lied to by people he loved, he would've gone fucking crazy in comparison to her.

He really needed to get his shit together before I had to put him in his place. This attitude of his was getting old.

"Don't worry," she smiled up at me. "It'll be fine."

I just nodded so she could go back to focusing.

"Y/n-sensei!" Itadori called out, interrupting her again.

She let out a soft laugh, "Yes Yuuji?"

She has so much patience with these kids... It's pretty impressive. Nanami was right earlier, she would make a good mom.

"What is that thing?"

"Mm, good question," she smiled. "It's called the Time Turner. It's a special grade cursed object."

"If a sorcerer infuses it with their cursed energy and turns it over, it slows down time for everyone except the user. It makes it so you can escape or take down multiple enemies or really do whatever you want."

"So, like, they're unstoppable."

She nodded, "Well everyone else is practically frozen, so yea. Kinda. But the effect only lasts until the time runs out."

She flipped over the hourglass, and we watched as the sand began to slowly drip into the other side .

"But there can be dangerous impacts on the user," she explained. "That much cursed power will take a toll on anyone."

"And it'll probably attract a lot of cursed spirits," Fushiguro added.

"Mm, that's right."

"Have you ever used it?" he asked.

"Only once," she looked at the golden object. "But that's a story for another time. Right now I need to focus on lifting the binding seal."

I can't believe she's used it before... I wonder when. And why. To use this kind of object, you have to be extremely careful. Most sorcerers would die from the side effects.

She really is so strong.

"What's a binding seal?" Itadori whispered to Fushiguro.

He elbowed him back, "Shh!"

We all sat there silently as she kept her eyes closed, and after another moment, the golden hourglass glowed briefly.

Then, just as she anticipated, her body went limp as she passed out on the floor.

"Y/n-sensei!!" Itadori yelled.

I immediately went over and picked her up off the floor, laying her down gently on the small couch. I'm glad she gave us a warning, that would've scared the shit out of me if I wasn't expecting it.

Gojo huffed out and grabbed the hourglass, "She's fine. It's what she gets for using a binding seal."

"Satoru," I tried to keep my voice calm. "You have to stop with this."

"We can talk about this later Suguru."

I continued to stare at him, hoping to get some sort of read on what was going on. I wish he'd just tell me instead being an asshole about it.

Itadori cleared his throat awkwardly, "So, uh, a binding seal?"

"It's when you infuse your cursed energy to a object. If you're strong enough, as long as it's in place, no one else can use or seal the object until the binding seal is released or the caster is killed."

"Y/n-sensei will probably be a lot stronger now that she doesn't have that seal in place too," Fushiguro mumbled.

"Unfortunately, yes," Satoru mumbled. "Well, see ya."

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

He held up the hourglass as he continued to walk away, "Gonna go take care of this little guy. Tell your precious Y/n I said thank you."

I shook my head as he shut the door behind him, letting out a soft sigh.

"Geto-sensei, why doesn't he like her?" Fushiguro asked.

"I'm not sure," I answered honestly as I looked at the two first years. "But you two should go get some rest now."

Once they left, I turned back to Y/n, smiling as I watched her sleep. It'd been such a long day for her, and she'd probably stay fast asleep until the morning.

I walked over and kissed her head before picking her up to carry her back to the room. I just hoped tomorrow would be better for her.
