12: Introductions

**Geto POV**

"If she was a sorcerer, what rank do you think she'd be?" Satoru asked me as we watched.

I shook my head, "Definitely Grade 1. Maybe special grade? She has the technique for it."

"I've never heard of her last name before," he mumbled. "But one of them has to be inherited. She can't have two completely different innate techniques."

Satoru had been up to his games as usual, making Y/n exorcise the special grade curse once we got to the students. And she did. A little too easily.

Her sword combined with her techniques, it was mesmerizing.

She really did have the perfect combination of skills for a subversive. To be able to remain undetected while having an offensive and defensive technique, it was remarkable.

Terrifying, but remarkable nonetheless. I'm sure the higher ups aren't going to be thrilled about it. But Satoru was even intrigued now. Maybe with both of us protecting her, it would actually work.

Now, she was patching up the first years before we went back to Jujutsu High. She kept some supplies strapped around her leg in a small pouch.

And just like the night she met me in the alleyway, she wouldn't let them wander around with bleeding wounds.

She had them laughing and smiling as though they hadn't almost just been killed by the cursed spirit. Nanami crouched down next to her, interested in learning how to do his own stitches.

Occasionally, even a small smirk crossed his face too. I didn't even know he did that, and I've known him for my entire adult life.

Satoru sighed, putting his heads behind his head, "So what's the plan?"

"I have no idea."

"You need to find out more about her. We need her full story."

I glanced over at him, feeling a little annoyed, "I almost lost her today Satoru. There's no way in hell I'm pushing to get more information."

"You'll lose her forever if she gets killed," he muttered.

"Your lack of empathy is astounding."

He shrugged, "Might be harsh, but it's true. And you're the only one she's listening to at this point."

"So you're helping me?"

He ignored me completely, "She's a doctor right? Should we see if Shoko can teach her Reversed Curse Technique? Having a healer with her strength would be huge for us."

"I don't think she's interested in learning techniques or being a sorcerer," I answered honestly.

"Do you think she has a choice? If you want my support, those are my terms."

"That she learns how to heal?"

"No," he shook his head. "That she stays at Jujustu Tech and becomes a real sorcerer. Not some fucking ancient and outdated outlaw."

I stared at him, my mouth dropping open a bit, "You can't be serious... You expect her to abandon the Protectors that easily?"

He scoffed, "She's a doctor in Tokyo. It seems she already did that. Besides, I didn't even know they still had members. She's probably one of the last ones."

"Ok, but-"

He cut me off, "Look, Suguru. She's strong. Definitely strong enough to beat all of the grade 1 sorcerers in one-on-one battles. But she's still no match for either of us. Even with her annoying cancellation technique."

"However, if the council were to hire a few grade 1's to take her down, they'd be able to. You need my help if you want to protect her."

He shrugged, "The choice is yours. Convince her or don't. In the end, it doesn't make much of a different to me."

Hearing him talk about her like that was almost more than I could handle right now, especially since he wasn't wrong.

She could take care of herself for the most part, but I think her skills were developed to help her with stealth or surprise missions.

I don't know how she would do if she had to take the defensive against more than one opponent. Not to mention the clans would probably be all for her capture or execution.

"Do you think she has more cursed objects?" I asked Satoru after a moment of getting all my thoughts together.

"I'd bet my life on it."

"If we find out more about those, we can use that as collateral too. It might buy us some more time before they swarm after her."

He smirked, "Mm, good thinking Suguru. Now you definitely have my attention."

**Y/n POV**

"Y/n-sensei!!! Show us your sword!" Yuuji called out.

"For the last time, I'm not your sensei."

I laughed slightly as I continued to stitch up Megumi. He had a gash under his eye that was making me nervous. It was bleeding way too much for comfort.

"Well then who exactly are you? Why are you here?" Nobara questioned as she shoved her face closer to mine, examining me.

"You're disrupting the doctor, Kugisaki," Nanami huffed. Truthfully, he was just as close to me and just as distracting as the students were.

He wanted to learn how to do his own stitches, so he kept close as he observed. I told him I'd teach him later, but apparently he had to learn right now.

"Are you a student?" Megumi asked.

They weren't able to call any of their teachers by their first names, so when I told them to call me Y/n they got so excited and insisted I used their first names too.

"Aw you think I look young enough to be a student!?" I squealed. "Megumi, I think you're my favorite!!"

"No fair! What about me!?" Yuuji yelled.

"Yea what the hell!?" Nobara added. "I called you beautiful!"

"Ah, ok ok," I waved them off. "You're all my favorites."

I leaned back away from Megumi as I inspected his gash, "Alright, it looks like you're all set."

"Really?" he mumbled as he reached for his new stitches.

I quickly slapped his hand away, "Don't touch em! Do you want an infection!? Your hands are filthy!"

"You would make a good mother," Nanami said plainly, but I still blushed like crazy at the thought.

Me? A good mom? Never. Just a good doctor.

"T-thanks, Nanami," I squeaked out. "That's nice of you."

Yuuji's eyes sparkled as he watched me get flustered, "Y/n-sensei!!! Are you Nanami's girlfriend!?"

My eyes widened and my face somehow turned even redder than before. I was not at all comfortable with this conversation.

Nanami sighed, "Itadori, please. I would never date her."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean!?" I yelled defensively. My mood quickly changed from flustered to pissed. Not that I wanted to date him, but I'm not that bad...

"You're beautiful enough, but you simply aren't my type."

"Oi well it's not like you're my type either!" I yelled back. "With your fucking leopard print tie..." I mumbled as I crossed my arms.

He was definitely a handsome guy, but I'd never let him know that now that he so openly insulted me.

"I'm sure I'm not. You're dating Geto, who is the exact opposite of me in almost every way."

All the students looked at me with wide eyes and anxious gazes, ready to pass out with the news.

Please kill me now. All I wanted to do was run away as far as possible from this awkwardness.

"GETO-SENSEI!?!" they all yelled in unison.

Gojo and Suguru both laughed as they walked over. Suguru eyed me carefully, a devious grin stretching across his lips as his eyes flickered across me.

The way this man looks at me... I don't know that'll I'll ever get used to it.

"Now, now. Don't scare our new friend!" Gojo called out.

"Are Y/n-sensei and Geto-sensei really dating!?" Yuuji asked loudly. I swear this boy only has one volume level.

"We are," Suguru smiled proudly as he put his arm over me.

"Seriously Yuuji, I'm not your sensei," I interjected, really not wanting to focus on Suguru anymore than I had to right now.

I was only seconds away from melting underneath his gaze and his touch and the soothing sound of his voice... God being in love made me feel so pathetic.

Gojo smirked, "Sure you are, Y/n! At least you will be. As soon as we get you back to Jujustu High. Isn't that right Suguru?"

As soon as he said that, Gojo took the first years and began to walk off, Nanami trailing closely behind.

"W-what?" I mumbled as I looked up at Suguru as we stood there alone.

He leaned down and spoke softly, "Don't worry my love. It's only temporary to keep you safe."

I shook my head a bit... Keep me safe? Didn't they just watch me take down the cursed spirit? Shouldn't they realize I can take care of myself.

"I don't need you to keep me safe, Suguru. I'm fine on my own."

"Please Y/n," his voice softened. "Just trust me. We can talk more once we get there."

I sighed as I thought it over. Trust him? It was scary as hell, and every inch of my body told me not to. But still, I really wanted to...

"Fine," I mumbled. "But only because you asked me Suguru, and I really want this to work."

I looked up at him, a smiling forming once I saw beaming back at me, "I love you, Y/n. You can trust me."

I nodded, "I know I can."

"Yoohoo!!!" Gojo yelled back. "Come on love birds! We're in bit of a rush!"

"He's so annoying," I mumbled.

Suguru just laughed as he held my hand and dragged me along, "Mm, and he thinks you're frustrating. But you two will learn to get along!"

Yea. I highly doubt that.
