*James Pov*

"What?" I asked, frowning at her while she continued to stare at me blankly leaning on the door frame.

"Enjoyed outing with your friends?" she asked and glanced over my shoulder, which I followed to see the both already left.

"Actually, it was completely tiring." I replied and she shook her head before walking into the house.

"I am not a mind reader by the way." I commented when she sat on the bed while I followed her into the room.

"And I am an outcast." Her comment made me frown and sat before her.

"Well, why is that?" I asked and she fumed.

"I mean, you three just went for a vacation and no one asked me. Not even Maha and it's not like I would have accepted to go with Nakul being a part of it. But still what would both of you lose in asking me." She asked and I can see the anger on her face.

"Because this was not a vacation. Maha and I left the city and that friend of mine followed us." I explained to which she let go of a little anger to leave space for confusion.

"Explain! Because I am also not a mind reader." She said and I nodded.

"You remember the doctor about whom we both were talking who is ready to say Nakul is not behind the accident but his mother. We both went to meet him and more like Maha meeting him. Anyway, Nakul too reached there and the doctor openly said Nakul is not behind the accident which Maha heard for herself." I explained.

"Did she now? And where is this doctor?" she asked, folding her arms.

"It seems like Nakul's Grandpa is the one who kept him away from coming here not wishing to drill into the past. So, he will not be coming, but Maha heard him and accepted it. That must be enough." I replied, shrugging, but she shook her head.

"Maha! Maha!" she whispered and sighed before staring at me.

"Leave it! Now, what is your plan for today?" she asked and I shrugged again to which she glared at my shoulders.

"You should plaster them to not move and irritate the life of others." Her comment made me laugh and pull her to me.

"What are your plans?" I asked back.

"I am going to a movie. God! There is no television here to even see. I will go mad here and so will be leaving in half an hour. I will have lunch from outside too, and then a movie. Maybe a little stroll in the park or some shopping. Then I will have dinner before returning here." She replied and I stared at her while she stared back.

"Alone?" I asked and she nodded.

"My own vacation! Do you think I would sit here calmly while you go and enjoy a vacation?" saying that she moved away and got up from the bed.

"That was not a vacation." I pointed out in a bored tone to which she shrugged copying me.

"Okay! Do as you wish while I will do my work." Saying that I walked out of the room before moving to the kitchen.

I started my cooking feeling hungry and not able to eat much breakfast in the morning. Finishing it, I served it on a plate before sitting at the dining table.

Hearing a sound I turned to see her stepping out of the room completely ready and then she glanced at my food.

She calmly walked to the table and mumbled, "Can I have a bite?"

"I mean, if you give a share of it, I will let you come for the movie." She added when I didn't reply.

"I didn't say I want to come with you anywhere." I said, frowning and she narrowed her eyes.

"Fine!" saying that she started walking away, but I held her wrist before dragging her back and made her fall on me.

"Leave me! I am just stupid to ask anything from you." She said struggling in my hold while I calmly placed the spoon near her mouth.

"I will not eat it after the way... no!" she said, shaking her head and pressed her lips tightly.

"I was just teasing. I will come for the movie and that little stroll of yours, but not shopping of course. And then we will have dinner too." I said, but she didn't budge.

So I turned her face and kissed her, to which she immediately responded, making me place the spoon back on the plate before concentrating completely on the kiss.

"James!" she whispered when I trailed the lips to her collarbone and she tugged my hair making me smile on her skin.

"Eat!" I said, moving my face away and she did before placing the spoon in my hand.

She was about to move, but I didn't let her and finished my share. Then sighed, leaning back on the chair.

"So, you want a television?" I asked staring at her.

"I am not crazy about it, but today morning I felt bored. I am not asking you to buy and if I want I will buy it myself." She replied and I nodded.

"Of course! You must earn more than me." I said and she frowned at me.

"It is not about who earns what. If I want something I will buy, and if you want something you buy." She said, shrugging and I pulled her face for another kiss smiling at the words she uttered.

"Now, we will go." Saying that I made her move and I stood up before we both walked out of the house.

"You must have some work here. I will go alone." She suddenly said when we reached the car.

"So, you want to cheat me? You had my food, but now backing away from the promise. That's really bad, Swathi." I said, shaking my head.

"Sweety! And I am just saying you must have got work to do." She said frowning.

"I will just let someone be here if Nakul needs me." I said, surprising myself and talked to a few members before reaching near the car where she is still standing.

"Shall we go in my car?" she asked gesturing hers.

"I will drive!" I replied forwarding my hand and she snorted.

"Of course! You feel humiliated if a woman drives you around." Saying that she slapped the keys.

"It's more about thinking about safety. If I sit beside you while driving, half of my mind will be on nothing wrong to happen. Like this, I can spend more of my mind over you." I explained, taking the driver seat.

"I don't want any part of your mind to be spent over me." She said rolling her eyes.

"I know! You only want my lips." I said and she immediately hit me with her clutch.

"That's a weapon!" I accused at the thing she is carrying.

"For the men like you, this is mandatory." She said, waving it near my face.

"For both of us safety, that is to put at somewhere else." I said, pushing it away.

"That was nice, right?" she asked when we walked out of the movie and I nodded but stopped when someone called her.

"Hey! Didn't know you watch rom-com." A guy commented walking near us.

"Something to pass the time." She said waving her hand.

"And who is this?" he asked gesturing me.

"My boyfriend!" she replied and I stiffened which she ignored.

"Why don't you both join the party we are going?" he asked, gesturing a few people little away from us.

"Next time! We have plans." She replied, smiling and he nodded, walking away while she shook her head.

"He just irritates me." She mumbled and continued to walk while I followed her.

"You smile at the people who irritates you?" I asked, getting in the car.

"I should if I want to have my career not drain in the gutter." She replied and I didn't spare a glance at her.

"Angry that I didn't introduce as my husband? No one knows I am married, James. If I do that then there will be speculation when divorce happens." She explained.

"No one is more obsessed about divorce than you." Saying that I stopped near a mall and got out of the car.

"You continue your day." I said, placing the keys in her hand when she got out too.

"You are not being fair. You were obsessed in the same way until a few days back." She pointed out and I felt the anger raise more.

"I don't do anything fair." Saying that I walked away ignoring her calls.

I reached the house, taking a cab after walking for some time, but frowned seeing her car near the drive.

Ignoring that I went through a few things and sighed in relief when Nakul actually didn't leave the house. I don't know why I took this risk of sending him with someone else while I go some other place.

Actually, what I did is not wrong. I thought, but then felt confused to think it as wrong or right. Because I wished to go out, but my job describes to think about Nakul and not about me, but now I have a wife who doesn't think herself as that though.

I walked into the house to see her laying on the bed reading a magazine. I removed my coat staring at her, but she didn't give a sign that she noticed me.

"I shouldn't have made it a big scene." I commented which she ignored.

"I know you wanted to hide your marital status when you never wore that necklace I put around you." I added.

"Even Maha removed it within a few days after marriage." Her comment made me sit beside her.

"They are not going to get divorce." I stated and she moved the book away to frown at me.

"Why?" she asked and I laughed.

"Because Nakul is crazy about her and she is becoming crazy for him." I replied and she frowned more.

"They both are happy?" she asked and I nodded to which she closed her eyes.

"Now, why are you here? You said something about shopping and then dinner." I asked and she opened her eyes.

"I don't do all those things with bad mood." She said, shrugging and I sighed leaning back.

"I think I over-reacted. I mean I didn't tell my Grandma that I am married too." I said and she sat up straight.

"What?" she asked and I nodded.

"Okay!" she mumbled frowning.

"She will not let us have this divorce if she knows." I explained and she frowned more.

"So, I think even I am obsessed with it but want to see whether there is a chance to not go through it. I want you to give this a serious thinking." I added and she nodded.

"Now, what say I will cook this dinner after informing Maha about us not joining them?" I asked and she nodded again with a thoughtful look.

*Nakul Pov*

"What is it?" I asked James when he walked into the house calling my wife.

"I just wanted to say we both will not be here for dinner." He replied, glancing at me as I was standing near my study.

"Too!" I pointed out remembering their absence during lunch.

"Yeah! Maybe we both will be fine with you being here for Maha to cook not feeling lazy. So, tell her we will not be joining for breakfast and all too." He said and I nodded to which he frowned.

"Who helped you to reach us?" he asked and I chuckled.

"Feeling lost not knowing something, right?" I asked back and he shook his head in irritation.

"We can talk in my study." I said walking inside and he followed me.

"So, how did you know where to find us and that too so soon?" he asked, sitting in the guest chair while I sat in mine.

"I already knew you both are planning to go somewhere and that too for my sake. I was wide awake and acted as if I was sleeping. The moment she left, I got ready and reached the gate after your cab left from here." I replied and he nodded waiting for me to finish.

"Do you know the new ones whom you hired think I am the actual boss after you?" I asked and he frowned.

"They must be thinking like that with me being your bodyguard." He replied shrugging.

"That was your mistake because I just demanded where were you going near a new team member and he supplied the information with the other hand." I said smirking while he cursed.

"But the people here don't know where we will be in that city." He said frowning.

"Yeah! But I know which team members are not here and asked for the number of one new one from the people in that city and called him. As usual, I demanded and ordered not to tell you and he followed my orders very well, giving me status of your arrival and each moment." I explained and he let out even more curses.

"Are you going to remove all these new members? Because I am not going to give you the names of the ones who helped me." I added.

"How did you reach so soon?" he asked, frowning, but then realized the answer.

"You took a private plane? But you never use it." He said in a confused tone.

"I don't! But there were two purposes. One is to reach near you both and the other is to make a stubborn man know the risk I am taking by which he will contact me soon." I said and he understood I was talking about my GrandPa and nodded.

"Why do you want to reach us? Don't you trust us?" he suddenly asked fisting his hand.

"It's not about trust. It's about me being put in the dark regarding my own life matters. I let go the one you did, but not anymore. I will not let my wife to do it too. I had enough of it." I replied and gritted my teeth.

"We didn't want to stress you and I asked her not to involve you because it would have been danger with you travelling to and fro, and our work would have involved more of security for you than the main task." He explained.

"Dammit! My life is at no risk." I shouted, feeling waste to think someone has to look after you and that someone involves a large team.

"Do you want to take chances after last time?" he asked and I sighed shaking my head.

"But that was there and now we are oceans away." I replied but he shook his head.

"Look, until your Grandpa says all this goes on." He said stubbornly and I shook my head.

"Fine! Do you think he will be here with me using the plane after he said not to?" I asked and he shrugged.

"So, you are going to leave the doctor matter, just like that?" he asked after a few minutes of silence.

"James! What is the need of a small fish when we can have the whole whale to ourselves?" I asked smirking and laughed at his confused look.

"Point number one, my Grandpa will know that I am digging about the accident which he will not ignore if it is something he is hiding. Point number two, he will know I am married. Point number three, the doctor asked my wife whether it is Guptha's and maybe because of the accident information. Anyway, Grandpa hates Guptha's and knowing I married one would drag him here no matter where he is." I explained and he stared at me for a second before laughing.

"Leave your business and join mine right now." He said but I just laughed.

"Why? So that you can allot me to some celebrity to protect? No thanks! And when are you going to tell your wife about this business of yours?" I asked him leaning back.

"When she thinks herself as my wife." He replied and I shook my head.

"If you give them chance to think, then these both would run to their house within seconds." I said and he laughed nodding.

"So, you are waiting for the whale?" he asked and I nodded.

"Yes! And I said to leave the matter because I don't want Maheshwari to take any stress about it. She had enough from the beginning." I replied and he smirked.

"You are like gone. Never thought I would see a day like this." Saying that he stood up.

"Are you scared of closed spaces because of what happened last time?" he suddenly asked and I know he is remembering the morning words.

"Even before that and I somehow feel they put me in that space because they knew about it." I replied and he nodded.

"Well, you fought it and saved both of us with that sleeping act of yours. Yesterday it must have been easy for you to do that." He said smriking.

"Yes! And why would I not fight it when they were torturing you." I said and he closed his eyes shaking his head.

"Any plans for tomorrow?" he asked and I shook my head.

"I will not be stepping out of this house and you should take it as a holiday." I replied and he smiled before stepping out of the room.

After a few minutes, I walked out to see her walking to the kitchen and I followed her. I held her from behind before she can move towards the stove and hugged her tightly.

"You scared me!" she whispered, but leaned back in my hold.

"Today onwards only both of us will be there for any time meals. James just informed and left." I said and she immediately twirled around.

"But I liked having them here. It would be boring with just two of us." She said frowning.

"Good to know that I am such an amazing company." I said, snorting and looked away shaking my head.

She held my face and made me turn towards her saying, "I didn't mean it like that. It's just that they are family."

"They both want their privacy of having meals together. They are newly married couple." I said shrugging.

"Even we are..." she trailed off realizing what she is saying.

"Is it that bad to be with me?" I asked, trailing my fingers over her cheek.

"You are making sure it is not bad." She replied fluttering her eyes while I continued to move my fingers.

"Good! Now, make that dinner while I will try to not bore you." I said, stepping back, but she held my hands before pulling me to her.

"You do not bore me." She said, holding my hands tightly.

I stopped myself from smiling realizing she thinks she hurt me and maybe I can use this to see how much fine she is with me. Maybe even get a little pampered by her! I thought, feeling satisfied with the prospect.

"No need to lie." Saying that I walked away finally letting the smile cover my face.

I kept quiet during dinner, ignoring her pleading look, but didn't let her sleep away from me, to which she smiled and held me back today.

I decided to continue it the next day, but had to come out of it when I saw her upset face while serving the lunch for both of us.

"I was not upset at all. I was just faking it from yesterday." I said when she stood up to leave after lunch.

"You lied?" she asked and I nodded to which she gasped, but walked away ignoring my calls.

"Maheshwari!" I said entering her room to see her sitting on the bed looking away from the door.

"Do not talk to me." She said and ignored no matter how I held her hand or her face.

"You will be stubborn when you get really upset, right?" I asked, realizing she will not budge at all.

"Fine! I will leave you alone, but do not expect I will do it for a long time." Saying that I left the room to finish some work which she calm down.

However, I couldn't concentrate no matter how much I tried to work and ended up trying to contact Grandpa. I thought he would be here today itself.

Maybe the doctor can't contact him, but only gets contacted. It can be possible, but I wish he comes here and finish all this.

"Until when you will be angry?" I asked when she didn't utter a word even after dinner and kept her silence.

I had enough and pulled her in my arms before making her look at me. She stared back before looking away shaking her head.

"Do you know I felt so bad thinking I hurt you? Do you know I felt hurt thinking I hurt you?" she suddenly asked and I moved her head to look at me.

Hearing her words, it felt like something is about to burst inside while I stared at her face. I smiled but then it slipped seeing her sad face.

"Please! I wouldn't do that again. Can we forget it?" I asked, to which she frowned, but then slowly nodded.

"I just don't want to hurt you." She replied, moving her hand to place it on my face.

"Why?" I asked and waited for her answer with anticipation I never felt before.

"I don't know!" she replied and I sighed, feeling the bubble burst, but at least she is honest.

"When you get to know, let me know." I said and she nodded before walking towards the stairs after stepping back from my hold.

"Can I ask you something?" she suddenly said when we both were lying on the bed in silence.

"What is it?" I asked lost in my thoughts about everything that is going on around us.

"Now that everyone realized I am married with that stunt of yours calling me like that before them, shall I wear the necklace?" she asked and at that moment all the thoughts left my mind.

"What?" I asked, sitting up, which she followed staring at me.

"I mean, if it is fine with you." She replied and I stared at her for a second before laughing out loud.

"Why did you remove it?" I asked her suddenly ignoring her confused look.

"I already explained to you, I told everyone I am single when you said you do not want anyone to know I am your wife. I could have said I am married but they would have asked about my husband and I would have been uncomfortable not knowing what to say and what to not. So, I just removed it and lied as single. Now, everyone is saying I lied to them but I explained you didn't want me to get any extra attention." She explained.

"Why are you asking my permission?" I asked, folding my arms.

"What if you don't like it." She replied shrugging.

"Go and wear it now." I demanded.

"Now?" she asked, frowning.

"Now!" I repeated and she did leaving the room and returning with it around her neck.

"Happy?" she asked, sitting on the bed beside me.

"Happy?" I asked back and she laughed nodding.

"Come here!" I said, opening my arms for which she lifted her eyebrow, but just lay on the bed ignoring me.

"Fine!" I said, laying on the bed after which silence consumed us.

"Come here!" she whispered and I turned to my side to see her staring at me with a smile.

"I don't have any intention of rejecting that offer." Saying that I moved near to her and hugged her smiling.

"It's nice to know someone follows my orders too." She whispered and pressed a kiss to my cheek.

"Good to know I could be of such service to my wife." I whispered back closing my eyes.
