*Maheshwari Pov*

"Please come this way." I said, nodding at the people who are here for a meeting and walked to the meeting room.

"Mr. Singh will be here soon." I added when they all settled and left the room before walking to the elevator.

However, when it opened, he stepped out and I immediately moved away from his way. He continued walking inside the room and I followed him.

I sat on the chair away from all to look after whether it is going as planned and checked the file. When there were any points raised, I just noted them.

When the meeting is over, he shook hands with all of them after coming out of the meeting room and they all left.

I sighed and made my way inside the elevator and reached the cabin. I am finally comfortable with all this by the second week of work.

The first meeting, I was so worried, but it kind of went well and now I feel I can do better by each meeting. I sat in my chair and tugged the skirt down feeling little uncomfortable but not too much.

"Miss Guptha! I will be leaving for lunch and you can take your lunch break too." He said opening the glass door.

"Okay, Mr. Singh!" I said, nodding and felt his presence for a second more and then he left.

After that day, I cooked the breakfast, lunch and dinner without fail but only for me. I shook my head and had my lunch before finishing the report he asked me to finish today.

I glanced up when I heard a sound to see him settling in his chair with a hard expression. James must be being James then.

What I don't understand is, if he is so angry at James for marrying Di then why don't he just remove him or ignore him? James only had to drive him and James for sure has to be with him wherever he goes.

I picked up the receiver when it started blinking and heard him, saying, "Clear my meetings for tomorrow. And book a table tomorrow for lunch at Shangri-la and the guest is only one."

"Sure, Mr. Singh!" I said and placed the receiver back when he hung up.

I called the hotel and booked a table for three. Then I waited for any file he wants me to go through for tomorrow's meeting he has.

But he didn't even when it was time to leave. Maybe he will give it tomorrow! With that thought I saved my work and stood up when he walked out of his cabin.

I wore my coat and walked out through my door, hoping it is still not raining. However, my hope just left thrown out when I saw it was raining too much.

I saw that Nakul is just getting in the car in the back seat and James glanced up to stare at me. If it was last week, he would have dragged me to the car.

I continued to walk towards the gate placing the bag on my head. However, after last week's conversation, he went back to this strict form of bodyguard role where he will not say a word if he is not asked by his employer.

"You come with us." I heard surprisingly Nakul's voice and turned to see the car stopped beside me and his window is down.

"It's okay, Mr. Singh!" I said, nodding and walked away.

I heard the car moving but continued to walk fast before finally reaching the bus stop. I was busy with brushing away the wetness from my bag and ignored them driving away.

After some time I glanced up to see the bus coming and I moved, but then glanced to my right to see James getting in the car holding the parcels from the restaurant.

Why is he getting food for Nakul now only? They call for home delivery every day, right? I thought and shrugged before getting into the bus.

I shivered and glanced back to see when will this conductor come to get the ticket, but saw two of the bodyguards sitting. I sighed and shook my head before turning back to stare ahead.

"Madam!" I heard the moment I got down and saw another person put of nowhere and he is giving me an umbrella.

"Thank you!" I mumbled, taking it and when I saw he has another for the two who followed, I walked towards the house.

Is this from James? I thought, frowning and got it cleared that it is not from him when I saw him walking out of the house with an umbrella and shocked expression staring at one in my hand.

"Your team members are sweet." I said when I reached near to him.

"You should have come with us." He said with a blank face.

"Why? I am just his PA." I mumbled shrugging.

We both walked into the compound and saw Di and Nakul talking to each other and they are smiling. I glanced at James to see him not looking at anyone but somewhere else.

"Maybe we should have let these both get married." I said and he glanced at me finally with a smile.

"Yeah! They both are really good at conversations. However, with her revenge plan, I wouldn't take that chance." He said and I nodded.

"Maybe she would have gotten her heart changed seeing his love." I said, shrugging and he shook his head.

"Go and change before you get cold. And if you want you can get a share of food from us. The delivery boy would be here soon." He offered.

"I know you actually don't want me to do that." I said and he sighed nodding.

"It's okay! I will cook something and I am glad only two delivery guys will come today and not three with Mr. Singh's food already bought." I added gesturing the parcel in Nakul's hand.

"He was feeling hungry, so he said he wanted to take it along with him." He said shrugging and I nodded when we reached near these two.

"Please thank your team members." I said, giving the umbrella back and he nodded before walking away while I climbed the steps ignoring these two like him.

"Maha!" I heard Di's voice and I turned back.

"Yes?" I asked with a blank face.

"Have dinner with me. I am tired of eating alone. So, Nakul offered me his presence and you can also join." She replied with no smile but I can see her frown.

"It's Okay! I got used to eating alone." I said, giving a polite smile and walked away with a frown.

I know James started having dinner with his team members and Nakul was having his alone like Di while I too do the same.

I got freshen up and walked to the kitchen to see both of them having dinner. I started preparing the dinner chopping the vegetables.

"We have enough for three, Maheshwari." I heard his voice and turned to see him standing near the kitchen door.

"It's okay, Mr. Singh." I mumbled and tried to control the happy feeling whenever I hear my full name.

"You can call me informally when we are not at work." He said moving towards me but I turned back to my vegetables.

"I am just your PA even here, Mr. Singh. Where is Di?" I asked and continued my work.

"She got some call." He replied shrugging and stood beside me but I moved away to start the cooking.

He just stood there while I calmly did the cooking and finally switched off the burner. I glanced at the rice cooker to see even the rice is over.

"You are fast." He commented and I shrugged not glancing at him.

"Who taught you?" he asked and I glanced at him saying, 'Mom!' to which his eyes widened and looked away making me frown.

"Here you are!" we heard Di's voice and turned to see her walking inside the kitchen.

"This is very big kitchen. Actually, the whole house is. You hit the jackpot Maha because you would have been lost in that small house." She said shaking her head and I just stared at her.

"Let's finish the dinner." Saying that he walked away, but she stood there.

"I missed your cooking." She suddenly said when he left and took a spoon full of curry before tasting it.

"Before this, that stupid hotel is nothing." She said smiling, but I gave her a blank look.

"Aren't you tired, Di?" I asked her and she stared at me before looking away.

"You know I care for you, right?" she asked rubbing her hands awkwardly.

"Do you?" I asked and turned back to take a plate before placing the rice and curry.

I walked off ignoring her who is still standing in the kitchen and he who is sitting at the dinning table lost in his thoughts.

I sneezed while climbing the stairs realizing I got cold and sighed before reaching my room. I had my food and stood near the window looking outside.

What is even going on in my life? I should have just shut my mouth and everything would have been more than fine. I planned so much and now everything is just wrong.

After some time, I stepped out of my room to see no one present downstairs and reached the kitchen to wash my plate away while his is already washed along with Di's.

When I reached my room, I heard his nightmare, but I frowned because from the past three days he didn't have them. I walked to his room slowly and like a few times, the door is a little opened.

I calmly sat beside him and brushed his hair, which he stopped moving. I sighed and continued, but stilled when he turned around and suddenly held my hand with his.

I was waiting for his shout, but he is still sleeping. I took a deep breath and stayed beside him for a few minutes before taking my hand away slowly.

However, I didn't rushed to my room and stayed like that staring at his face. He looks to be in peace which is totally opposite during normal time when he is awake.

I pressed a kiss to his forehead and stood up before walking away from his room and reached mine feeling tired and sneezed.

"Let's go, Miss Guptha." He said, opening the connecting door and I nodded shutting down my system and put on the coat to see him still standing there with the door opened.

I stared at him and then turned around to walk out of the cabin from the cabin door and not the one he opened. The moment I reached the elevator, he too reached behind me.

I held the file with basic details on SGI but nothing else relating to the meeting. When we reached the entrance I saw James waiting and he opened the backseat for him.

He let it open even after Nakul sat before moving to the driver seat, but I closed the door and sat in the passenger seat making him sigh.

He should have got into his head already that I will sit here only as we already went to the outdoor meetings a few times this week already.

"Mr. Singh! I don't have any details regarding today's meeting." I said finally and waited for his answer.

"This is not an official, but a personal one." He said and I frowned.

Then what am I doing here? I wanted to ask, but stayed silent before glancing at James, who have just a blank face as usual.

We got down from the car near the restaurant and Nakul walked off whom we followed, but stopped seeing him hugging someone.

He stepped back, smiling at the woman who is like beautiful, I mean the beautiful. He then glanced to us before holding her hand and walked to the table the manager showed them.

"Go!" James whispered, but I shook my head.

"Where will you sit?" I asked him and he gestured the couch a little away.

"Let's go!" I mumbled and walked there with him following me.

We both sat and stared at the two talking and laughing and ordering something. I frowned and glanced at James to see him, frowning at them too.

"You know her?" I asked and he nodded.

"His ex-girlfriend!" he replied and I frowned before looking back at the two.

"Great!" I mumbled and he sighed.

"Don't worry! It must have been a general meeting." He said and I glanced at him.

"It doesn't have anything to do with me whatever he wishes to do. But you said he loves Di then what is he doing here? I thought he would try to pursue her after the divorce. Is he a bad person? Did I just ruin my life for this person?" I asked, frowning at him and he frowned back.

"Even I don't know this person anymore." He replied and I patted his hand.

"Why don't you have lunch?" he asked and I shook my head patting my bag.

"Are you hungry?" I asked and he nodded.

"Take it!" I said, giving him the box while he noted someone to keep an eye on their boss and then he opened the box.

"I missed this food." He said and I shook my head.

"I can bring extra for you. After all, an employee should help the other employee." I said and he chuckled shaking his head.

"Okay! Only if you accept the ride from the house to company every day." He offered.

"You will not do that." I mumbled and he sighed nodding.

"Before I would have but not now. And your sister is eating my brain." He complained.

"How?" I asked him frowning.

"Well, she just keeps on talking about her work. I state the fact that I am not interested in hearing anything but she doesn't stop." He replied shaking his head.

"She does? She always talks about it near my father." I mumbled and he frowned.

"She is very close to him and must be missing him." I added and he sighed.

"Yeah to have a new plan of destruction." He said and I chuckled.

"I need to come to work two days and then two days holiday." I said, leaning back before staring at the two people who seems to be flirting now.

"And we need wait for five and a half months, then we four will have a divorce." He said to which I smirked.

"You are saying like we four got married together and we are getting a single divorce." I said and he suddenly laughed which I followed.

All this is because we are actually in a happy mood would be a lie, but because we got dragged into something along with dragging others making it a mess.

"Thank you!" he said, passing the box and I tried to shrug like him.

"What about you?" he asked, frowning and I smiled.

"It's okay! I am not feeling hungry." I replied and he suddenly stood up, making me glance up to see them both walking towards us.

We both followed them as they didn't even glanced at us. The ride was not at all silent with both of them talking continuously.

To my headache, they even walked into his cabin and continued to chat while I sat at my place trying to work in mid of their laughs.

I then glanced up to see them lost in all this conversation. I don't know why, but I suddenly felt anger and maybe hurt too and something else.

Why? Is it because he is married to be or maybe because he is supposed to be in love with my sister? Or I don't know.

I forgot that I was staring them because he suddenly glanced to this side, making his eye meet mine. I stilled, but didn't look away and he too didn't, but then blinked when he stood up.

"I will not be returning today." He suddenly said, reaching the connecting door and I nodded to which they both walked away.

I sighed, leaning my head on the table and rubbed my neck holding the necklace. I removed it that day when he said I am not his wife, but I put it back feeling it's wrong to remove.

I was so lost that I got startled when I heard my phone ringing and I lifted it up saying, "Hello!"

"Where are you, Maha? It is past the time you come from work." I heard Di's voice and glanced at the clock to see it is late.

"I will be there." Saying that I hung up and rushed to shut down the system and wore my coat.

However, when I reached the elevator I felt someone walking beside me. I turned to see Manish and he is smiling at me.

"Heard that you are still here. Now, we can't leave someone alone in the office, right?" he asked when I stepped inside the elevator and he too followed.

"Why? Are you a watchman?" I asked and he raised his eyebrow before moving near to me and I moved away from back to stand near the doors.

"Come on, Maha! You are attracted to me. You can't even meet my eyes." He replied, laughing and I moved near.

"Maybe because I feel disgust." I said and he stilled.

"Nice joke, but heard that you are single. I am also single." He said and I felt his hand on my shoulder squeezing.

"Mr. Manish!" I said, pushing his hand away and then he moved his hand to my waist.

"You really look sexy in this skirt like I thought the first day." He said and I felt like something crawling on my skin.

"I will scream! Just move away." I warned him and took out my mobile.

"Cool, Maha!" he said, but then suddenly pushed me to the side, making me scream.

I hit his side of the head with the mobile and he immediately released me and at the same time the doors opened. I rushed outside not glancing behind me and saw the two body guards sitting inside the company compound.

"Cab! Cab!" I said, trying to control my breath and one immediately walked outside to stop one while another took out his mobile.

"Don't! I am fine." I said, waving him and he reluctantly took the phone away.

"Thank you! No need to take another cab. Come with me." I added when they were moving away after I sat in the cab.

One of them sat in the passenger seat while another sat beside me. I leaned on the window and closed my eyes, feeling the tears pricking but held them back.

"Maha!" Di called when I walked climbing the steps, but I ignored her and James who is standing there.

I passed Nakul too, but I didn't stop and reached my room, locking it before rushing to the washroom throwing my purse away and stood under the shower.

God! I thought closing my eyes and took deep breaths. I am fine! I thought, nodding to myself and leaned on the wall sending prayers.

*Swathi Pov*

I stood in shock when she just ignored each and every one. I glanced at Nakul and James to see both of the frowning too.

"What happened to her?" I asked them.

"Maybe because he met his ex today." James replied shrugging.

"Ex?" I asked, looking at Nakul.

"Yeah! She is sad for you by the way. I mean you are in love with him and he is roaming with his ex." James continued.

"She said that?" I asked and he nodded before glancing at Nakul to see his fists tighten.

"What I do and what I don't doesn't concern her. Tell her to keep to her business." He said and walked into the house.

"How could he do that?" I asked in anger and walked inside the outhouse and he followed yawning.

"What's wrong?" he asked and moved towards the table to have his food which he brought today suddenly instead of having with his team like everyday.

"He is married and he is meeting his Ex. You are asking me what's wrong?" I asked with anger tone.

He calmly finished his food and walked to the basin to wash his hands. Then he drank water before moving towards me.

"These both marriages are not the normal ones to have normal behavior from the people." He pointed out and was about to pass me but I held his collar.

"If you do that by entertaining other women, then I will kill you." I warned him and he frowned.

"Aren't you entertaining Nakul?" he asked and I glared at him.

"I will really kill you if you entertain another girl. No matter what and how this marriage is I will not allow infidelity." I repeated and he laughed.

"And who are you to say that?" he asked mockingly and my temper just burst out making me do something which I didn't think or maybe I did a few times.

I pulled the collar making his head bend and kissed him. After a second, realizing what I just did, I released him and stepped back.

"That... that shouldn't have happened." I mumbled and turned to walk to the bedroom, but groaned when he turned me around before pressing me to the wall.

"You are right! That shouldn't have happened, but it did. Now, what?" he asked and I stilled when his hands stayed at my waist.

"Rectify it?" I suggested and he smirked.

"Sure!" he replied and moved his hands up making me breath hitch before he launched his lips on mine before kissing me with a passion making me bend to it and return it.

"There! I rectified it." Saying that he suddenly moved away while I stayed still with my heavy breath.

"Good night!" he added and walked out of the house for his so called duty to look after the security like everyday while I walked inside the room completely lost. Oh god! I thought laying on the bed and screamed putting the pillow on my face with frustration.
