Rayne looks at the chimera and then back at Theo and Stiles
"Before this starts. You two better sort whatever this shit is. I'm gonna go get Scott." Rayne says, they nod and Rayne leaves the roof and rushes down the stairs and to where Scott and Malia are.

"We found the Chimera."

They all stand around the table at the animal clinic with the chimera laying dead
"Do you know him?" Theo asks
"His name's Josh. He was a junior." Scott says and Stiles covers his face.

"Which one did it? The one with the cane?" Scott asks
"Yeah..." Theo says
"What are we going to do with him? We can't just set the alarm and leave, that's how Tracy disappeared." Stiles asks.

"All right... Someone's got to stay here with him." Rayne says
"I'll do it. It's not like I had a big Saturday night planned." Theo says and Scott gets a text
"What is it?" Stiles asks.

"Another one. Another Chimera." Scott says.

"Hayden...? It's Scott. I know that you're scared, but we just... We want to help." Scott says
"I can hear her heart beating-- she's really freaked out. What happened?" He asks
"She was okay when we got here. I went to text you for two seconds and she locked herself in." Liam says.

"Why?" Stiles asks
"I don't know." Liam says
"She's definitely a Chimera?" Rayne asks.

"She said she heard a voice saying 'Your condition improves...'" Liam says
"Okay, that's unsettling..." Stiles says
"Hayden? This is Stiles. Your sister works for my dad down at the station? Look, just open the door. You can trust us." Stiles says.

"We just need to tell you the truth, Hayden... And that kind of thing is usually better face-to-face." Scott says.

"Oh let me try. Girl to girl." Rayne says and knocks on the door
"Hayden, this is Rayne. Now I know what you are going through is probably scary and it is. But we can help, I have been through this and I was fucking terrified but I had people to help me with it and so do you. So please open the door." Rayne says and Scott and Stiles look at each other knowing she wasn't talking about them.

"Okay." Rayne sighs and knocks on the door
"Open the damn door before I fucking break it." Rayne says and the door opens to reveal Hayden with yellow glowing eyes.

"I believe you."

Rayne, Stiles and Scott all stand in the library around a map
"We're back to telluric currents?" Stiles asks
"If the Dread Doctors didn't like coming into Eichen House because of them, maybe we can use them to protect Hayden." Scott says.

"Okay, so besides Eichen, where's the strongest convergence?" Rayne asks
"We're standing on it." Scott says
"You want to hide her in the high school? For how long?" Stiles asks.

"If we have to... All night." Scott says.

"Liam convinced Hayden not to say anything to her sister yet. She's working a double tonight, and she thinks Hayden's staying at a friend's." Scott says
"But it's just a school, though, you know? It's not exactly a fortress." Stiles says
"Lydia's got an idea for that. Remember how Valack quoted Tesla?" Scott questions.

"Frequency and vibration..." Stiles says
"She thinks he wasn't just saying that to sound smart-- she thinks maybe it was a clue." Scott explains
"To do what?" Rayne asks.

"Disrupt their frequency." Scott says
"Parrish took three cell phone jammers from the station. He thinks they can broaden their range of frequency. It's a long shot, but it's the best we've got right now." He says.

Rayne and Stiles walk into the animal clinic
"So he knows?" Rayne asks
"Apparently." Stiles says
"How the hell does he know?" Rayne asks.

"He was at the high school." He says and they walk into back bit where Theo is
"What's going on?" Theo asks
"Whoever's stealing the bodies probably isn't going to do it while we're standing guard over one of them." Stiles says.

"So you've got a better idea?" Theo asks and Stiles puts his phone where the body is and then they go to the jeep and he puts his watch on the mirror.

"What happens now?" Theo asks
"We wait." Stiles says
"You want to take shifts watching?" Theo suggests.

"No... No, I want to spend some quality time with you." Stiles says
"Sounds good to me." Theo says
"God the testosterone is practically suffocating me." Rayne groans.

Minutes go by in complete silence when Theo starts to talk
"You still wondering why I haven't said anything to Scott?"
"Maybe." Stiles says
"You think I have some kind of ulterior motive?" Theo asks.

"More than likely." Stiles says
"Would you believe me if I said all I want-- all I've ever wanted-- is for you guys to trust me?" Theo asks
"Nope." Stiles simply says.

"So, you're here because you're never going to trust me." Theo says
"Yep. Glad we had this talk." Stiles says
"You know who you remind me of?" Theo asks.

"Theo, I don't care." Stiles says.

"My sister. She was smarter than everyone, too. And a pain in the ass like you. But she always looked out for me-- the same way you look out for Scott." Theo says
"You know, I was the one that found her body. She'd fallen into a creek, broken her leg... They told us she would've been okay if it wasn't one of the coldest nights of the year... If it wasn't for the hypothermia. And when I found her, all I could think was that I should've known. That I should've been looking out for her." He continues.

"Why are you telling me this?" Stiles asks.

"I'm telling you because even if you don't trust me, and even if you don't like me, I'm still going to be looking out for you the way I should have been looking out for her."

"You know, I saw his teeth. Donovan. He was a, uh, Wendigo, wasn't he?" Theo asks
"Yeah." Stiles says
"The cannibal one?" Theo asks.

"Native American. The myth says that if you ate human flesh, your punishment was to turn into a creature that constantly craved it." Rayne says
"That's a pretty judgmental myth." Theo says
"Well, she didn't make it up." Stiles says.

"What if it was the only way to survive? I mean, you ever hear of the Donner Party? I'm pretty sure they didn't turn into Wendigos..." Theo says
"Well, they didn't live in Beacon Hills." Stiles states
"Good point. So, what's the punishment for killing a Chimera?" Theo asks.

"You spend five hours in the car with Theo Raeken." Stiles says
"Like... I know what my punishment is. I'm gonna lose my best friend. I'm gonna lose Scott." Stiles says and Rayne holds his hand.

"If Scott really gave up on you for some piece of crap like Donovan, then he wouldn't be a True Alpha, would he?" Theo asks
"Or maybe that's the definition of one-- someone who doesn't put up with murder." Stiles says
"It sounds like you guys need to look up 'justifiable homicide.'" Theo says.

"Did you seriously just say that to the children of a cop?" Stiles asks
"A Werewolf's eyes are supposed to change color when you take an innocent life." Theo says and then his eyes glow
"Do these look blue to you?" He asks.

"It was self-defense-- for me and for you." He says
"Or maybe you just don't feel all that bad about it. You can't say one life is objectively less innocent than another one. What if they turn blue 'cause you feel guilty?" Stiles asks.

"So it's up to interpretation?" Rayne asks
"Yeah, maybe..." Stiles says
"Okay. Then here's my interpretation of what happened with you and Donovan-- not guilty." Theo says.

"Did you feel bad about it?" He asks and they both look at him
"Not now-- I mean right then. Right when it happened. What were you thinking the moment you knew he was dead and there was no saving him?" He corrects.

"One word... Good."

Then Theo sniffs the air with a confused expression
"What?" Rayne asks
"A scent... Like smoke. Like something burning." He says and he turns his head and gets punched in the face and dragged out the jeep.

"What the fuck!" Rayne shouts and suddenly the jeep gets turned over leaving Rayne and Stiles unconscious as it began to catch on fire.

Screaming.

That was the first thing Rayne heard and she opened her eyes to see fire everywhere.
"Acalia?" She turned her head to see Talia
"Tali?" Rayne asks.

"Get out of here!" Talia shouts
"Acalia!" She shouts
"Rayne!" Rayne furrowed her eyes brows.

"Rayne!" She repeats

"Rayne!" Rayne opens her eyes to see Theo standing over her.

"The body... The body's gone." He says.
