"Rayne? Are you awake? Rayne?!" Stiles calls in a whisper like voice from the door and pops his head into his sister's room to see her sleeping peacefully.

Stiles smiles at his sister and then walks into her room and goes up to her and pokes her arm and then he takes a deep breath.

"Wake Up! It's time for school!" He shouts and she wakes up and checks her phone.

"Stiles! It's the middle of the night! What is it?" She asks through her teeth as her brother looks at her with a gooffy smile.

"We going to look for a dead body in the woods." He says like it's obvious
"Why would we do that? And how you know?" She asks looking at him.

"I may or may not of heard dad saying about two joggers finding a dead body in the woods."
"Wait why are we going to find what's already been found?"

"That's the best part." The excitment is waverinng in his voice
"It's probably not but go on."
"They only found one half of the body." He says like Lydia Martin said 'hi' to him.

"How is the best part? I'm genuinely curious how it is."
"Well, probably not for them but please can you come with us." He begs
"Who's us?"
"I'm going to pick up Scott, he's not answering his phone."
"Fine. Let's go I'll get some of Scott's clothes." She says and he hugs her in excitement.

Rayne is on her phone texting someone in the back seats of the jeep waiting for Scott and Stiles to get back into the jeep, her phone lights up with a message and she looks at the message and smiles and is about to respond when she hears the doors open.

"Here you go." Scott says handing her his lacrosse hoodie and black sweat pants.

"Thanks, Scotty." She says and pats his cheek and takes her shoes off and puts the sweat pants over her shorts and put the hoodie over her shirt while Stiles drives and then goes on her phone replying to the message and she smiles and then looks up at Scott.

"You remembered you inhaler, right?" She asks and he turns to her and holds it up and she nods and goes back to her phone.

"We're seriously doing this?" Scott asks getting out the car and helping Rayne get out
"You're the one always bitching about that nothing ever happens in this town." Stiles says with his flashlight walking towards the woods as Rayne follows her brother.

"I was trying to get a goodnight's sleep before practice tomorrow." He says following them
"Right, cause sitting on the bench is sure a gruelling effort." Stiles replies and Rayne scoffs.

"You would know." And he shines the flashlight in her eyes
"No, because I'm playing this year, in fact, I'm making first line."
"Hey, that's the spirt. Everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one." Stiles laughs.

"Stiles, which half of the body are we looking for?" Rayne asks
"Huh! I didn't even think about that." He laughs.

"And what if the whoever killed the body is still out here?" Scott asks
"Also something I didn't think about." Stiles says his voice getting higher and they go up a steep hill crawling.

"It's comforting to know you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail." Scott pants
"I know." Stiles agrees and Scott stops at a tree panting.

"Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight, huh?" He says getting his inhaler walking the rest of the way as Rayne helps him and once they get to the top of the hill Stiles lies down on the ground seeing the police and their dogs and Scott and Rayne lie down as well.

"Sorry about your hoodie and sweat pants." She whispers to Scott and he mouths that's its okay
"Come on!" Stiles says and quickly stands up and runs.

"Stiles wait up!" Scott calls to him as they follow after him, Rayne runs and bumps in to someone which is Stiles and she looks back to see if Scott is there which he is not.

Suddenly a dog barks and Stiles jumps into Rayne's arms and a flashlight is at their face
"Hold it right there!" A police man shouts at them.

"Hang on, hang on. These little delinquents belong to me." Sherif Stilinski says and Rayne turn to him and then looks at Stiles and drops him on the ground.

"Hey, dad. Don't you look so Sheriffy with your uniform on." She smiles and Stiles stands up
"Hey, dad. How are ya doing?" He asks and the Sheriff looks at his son
"Do you listen to all my phone calls?" He asks.

"How do you know it was me? Oh. And no. Not the boring ones." He says smiling
"And where is the third musketeer?" Their father asks.

"Who, Scott? Scott's home, he said he wanted to get a goodnight's sleep for the first day back at school tomorrow. It's just us, Stilinski Twins." Stiles' a couple months older then Rayne but that doesn't stop them from saying their twins, they sure act like twins.

"Scott! You out there? Scott?" The Sheriff calls and no response and he turn back to his kids.

"Well, young man and woman, I'm going to walk you both the Stiles' car and you and I are gonna have a conversation about something called invasion of privacy." He says to Stiles and they walk back to his car and their father goes back to the search.

"Do you think Scott is alright?" She asks her brother as they drive unsure where Scott is
"Yeah, I'm sure he is completely fine." He assures her and she looks at him.

"I didn't remember." She says and he looks at her for a second
"What?"
"I didn't remember anything from then. It's awful, it's like most of my life has a gap in it until I was 8." She says.

Rayne was in an accident when she 8 and they say since she had so much trauma her mind blocked it off all she can remember was her mom's death when she was that age, Stiles and Scott have been trying to help her with it by doing certain things she might have done like go to specific places to see if that could trigger the good memories she had when she was under the age of 8.

Scott and Stiles had sleepovers with her and play dates with her but some much stuff happened and it was that long ago they didn't remember but it wasn't like a gap in their memories.

"Hey, it will be okay, I promise." He says and he parks up at their house. They walked in and they got ready for bed and they fell asleep not know what happened to Scott.

Rayne gets out the jeep and rushes towards the school trying to see Scott and Stiles follows her
"I'm sure he's fine." He says trying to keep up and she stops and turns to him
"I'm not believing that until I see him in one piece alive and says he's fine." She tells him.

"Hey, guys." Someone says and they turn to see Scott and she wraps his arms around him and checks to see any damage, now she knows he's alright she hits him in the back of the head.

"You scared the shit out of me. I'm sorry for leaving you there." She says and wraps his arms around him again and he laughs and she lets go.

"Okay, let's see this thing." Stiles says and Rayne looks confused and then Scott lifts up his shirt to reveal a bandage on his rib cadge and Rayne carefully taps it with her finger.

"Does it hurt?" She asks
"No, I'm fine but don't touch it. It was too dark to see much but I'm pretty sure it was a wolf." He says putting his bag on one shoulder and the three start to walk into school.

"A wolf bit you?"
"Uh-huh."
"No, not a chance."
"I heard a wolf howling."
"No, you didn't."
"What do you mean 'No, I didn't'? How do you know what I heard?" Scott asks and Stiles laughs.

"Because California doesn't have wolves, okay? Not in like 60 years." And they stop
"Really?" Scott asks
"Yes, really. There are no wolves in California."
"All right, well, if you don't believe me about the wolf, then you're definitely not gonna believe me about when I tell you I found the body."

"Are you kidding me?" He asks in excitement
"No I wish, I'm gonna have nightmares for a month." And Stiles smiles in excitement
"Oh, God, that is freaking awesome. I mean, this is the seriously the best thing that's happened to this town since... Since the birth of Lydia Martin. Hey, Lydia, you look... like you are gonna ignore me." Stiles says as Lydia walks by, he's had a crush on her since the 3rd Grade.

Stiles turns to his sister and his friend
"You're the cause of this, you know."
"Uh-huh." Scott says
"Dragging me down to your nerd depths." He says
"Actually, Lydia and I are best friends so it's nothing to do with me."
"How are you friends with her?" He asks
"I don't know probably because I have awesome gaydar." She says as the bell rings and the three walk into school.

"As you all know, there indeed was a body was found in the woods last night. And I am sure your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre scenarios as to what happened," the teacher says and Scott turns back to his left to see Stiles smiling and then turns back to his right to see Rayne smiling and winks at him, "but I am here to tell you, that the police have a suspect in custody, which mean you can give your undivided attention to syllabus which is on your desk outlining this semester." The teacher continues and the students begin to read when the door opens revealing the Vice Principal and a girl walk in.

"Class, this is our new student, Allison Argent. Please do your best to make her feel welcome." He says and leaves and Allison takes the seat next to Rayne and Scott turns to her giving her a pen
"Thanks." She smiles and Scott turns to look at Rayne as she smiles and raises her eyebrows and the teacher speaks
"We'll begin with Kafka's Metamorphosis on page 133."

"Hey." Rayne says to Allison as she gets to her locker and opens it
"Hi, looks like we are locker buddies." She says.

"Yeah, I'm Rayne Stilinski I don't mind if you call me Rayne or Ray which ever is fine."
"Well, Ray, you can call me Alli." She smiles
"Well, congratulations Alli, you have just made a friend and even better a gay one." She says.

"Good to know." She smiles that she made a friend
"The only reason that I'm telling you I'm gay is because I make jokes and references to it a lot." Rayne chuckles and Allison chuckles as well then Lydia walks up to them.

"That jacket is absolutely killer. Where'd you get it?" She asks
"My mom was a buyer for a boutique back in San Francisco."
"And you are my new best friend." She says and Rayne leans back against the lockers dramatically.

"Lydia, we are soulmates you can't do this, how am I going to live?" She asks and Lydia walks up to her and kisses her cheek and Rayne straightens her back smiling
"Okay, I'm better." She smiles and they all chuckles when Jackson comes up to her and kisses her.

"This is why I'm gay." Rayne whispers to Allison and she chuckles and they pull apart and Jackson looks at Rayne with a fake smile.

"Hey, Rainbow." He says and Rayne looks at him with a tight smile
"Hey, Jackass." She says and Lydia ignores their antics and turns to Allison
"So, this weekend, there's a party." Lydia says
"A party?" Allison asks
"Yeah, Friday night, you should come." Jackson says
"Actually, I can't. It's family night this Friday, thanks for asking." She lies
"You sure? I mean, everyone's going after the scrimmage." Jackson says.

"You mean like football?" She asks
"Actually our sport is lacrosse." Rayne says nicely and Allison nods
"We've won the state championship for the past 3 years." Jackson adds
"Because of a certain team captain." Lydia says looking at Jackson.

"Well, we have practice in a few minutes. That is, if you don't have anywhere else to go."
"Well, I was going to-" Allison says then Lydia cuts her off
"Perfect. You're coming."
"I'm going because I'm support for my brother and best friend." Rayne assures her and they follow Lydia.

We sit on the bench and Rayne sees Scott in goals
"Who is that?" Allison asks looking at Scott.

"Him? I'm not sure who he is."
"That's Scott McCall, he's my best friend." Rayne answers
"Why?" Lydia asks
"He's in my English class." Allison says and Rayne smiles at her and nods and the whistle blows, Rayne stands up
"Well, that is the sound of me having go to my brother who is sitting on the bench. Love you." Rayne says waving at them.

Rayne walks down and sits next to her brother and they look over at Scott to see him get hit in the face and the twins wince as they the boys on the team laugh then someone else goes and he catches it and they go silent.

Someone goes again and again he catches it and the people on the bench start cheering and then Jackson throws the ball and Scott catches it and the twins stand up and start cheering and he throws the ball into the referee's net and smiles as the twins continues to cheer.

It's after school and the three musketeers go into the woods to find Scott's inhaler
"I don't know what it was. It was like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball," Scott says crossing a river as Rayne finds a small bit of the river and jumps across.

"And that's not only the weird thing I can hear stuff I shouldn't be able to hear, smell things." Scott says
"Smell things? Like what?" Stiles asks as they walk
"Like Mint Mojito gum in your pocket." Scott says
"I don't even have any Mint Mojito..." Stiles trails off as he pulls the gum out of his pocket and Rayne takes the gum and puts in her mouth.

"So all of this started with a bite."
"What if it's like an infection, like my body is flooding with adrenaline before I go into shock or something?" Scott rambles.

"You know what? I actually think I've heard of this. It's a specific kind of infection." Stiles says and they stop
"Are you serious?" Scott asks
"Yeah. Yeah, I think it's called lycanthropy." Stiles says and Rayne smiles at him and plays along
"What's that? Is that bad?" Scott asks
"Oh, yeah, it's the worst, but only once a month." She says.

"Once a month?" Scott asks and they both hum
"On the night of the full moon." Stiles says and the twins mimic a howl and Scott pushes Stiles and the twins laugh and they start walking.

"Hey, you're the one who heard a wolf howling." Stile says
"Hey, there could be something seriously wrong with me."
"I know! You're a werewolf!" Stiles says and mimics a growls.

"I'm a wolf, what's next Rayne is straight?" Scott asks
"Never joke about that tragedy ever." She says and they laugh.

"Okay, obviously he's kidding. But if you see us in shop class trying to melt all the silver we can find it's cause Friday is a full moon." Rayne says and they stop and Scott looks at the ground
"No, I could have sworn this was it. I saw the body, the deer came running, I dropped my inhaler."
"Maybe the killer moved the body." Stiles says.

"If he did, I hope he left my inhaler, those things are like 80 bucks." Scott says and Stiles and Rayne turn their heads to see a man looking at them and Stiles slaps Scott's shoulder and Scott turns to see and stands up as well and the man walks to them and he looks strangely familiar to Rayne.

"What are you doing here? Huh? This is private property." He says and Rayne moves beside her brother
"Sorry, we didn't know but... have you by any chance seen an inhaler?" She asks and he turns to her and the throws something to Scott and they look to see it's the inhaler.

"Thank-" She starts to say and then see him walking away
"Okay, I need to get to work." Scott tries to leave when Stiles stops him
"Dude, that was Derek Hale. You remember, right? He's only like a few years older than us."

"Remember what?" Scott asks as Rayne stays quiet
"His family. They all burned in a fire like, 10 years ago."
"Actually it was 6 years ago." Rayne says and they turn to her
"I wonder what he's doing back." And they walk back to the jeep.

It's Friday and it's the scrimmage and Stiles comes running up to Scott
"Scott! Scott, wait up."
"Stiles, I'm playing the first elimination, man. Can it wait." He says
"Just hold on, okay? I overheard my dad on the phone. The finer analysis came back from the lab in LA, they found animal hairs on the body from the woods!"

"Stiles, I gotta go."
"Wait, no! Scott! You're not gonna believe what the animal was! It was a wolf." He says and sits on the bench next to his sister as the whistle blows
"Did you tell him?" She says taking a drink of water.

"Nope." He says and she passes the bottle to him and he drinks out of it and they watch the game start.

Scott scores the first goal by doing tricks and everyone cheers,
"McCall! Get over here!" Coach Finstock shouts and Scott goes over to him.

"What in God's name was that? This is a lacrosse field. What, are you trying out for the gymnastics team?" He asks
"No, Coach." Scott says and the crowd goes quite.

"What the hell was that?" He asks again
"I don't know. I was just trying to make the shot."
"Yeah, well, you made the shot. And guess what? You're starting, buddy. You made first line." He says and the crowd cheers and Coach goes up to Rayne who holds out her hand and he puts a 10 bucks in her hands and Stiles looks at the exchange in shock.

"There you go, raindrop." He says walking away
"Thanks, Coach!" She calls to him and she turns back to Stiles
"What the hell just happened?"
"Coach and I place bids on the games even scrimmages. Easy way to make money." She shrugs.

"Is that why you're his favourite student?"
"No I'm his favourite student because I'm amazing and because I don't annoy him."

"Rayne!" Stiles yells from his room and Rayne rolls her eyes and goes to his room
"What? I was calling someone." She says and she looks at the mess his room is and he sits her on his chair and wheels her to his laptop
"Look." He says and she skims through it all of what he was looking at on his computer.

"Are you sure?" She asks
"Yeah."
"Okay. I mean it makes sense in a way." She says and then someone knocks on the door and Rayne closes the laptop as Stiles opens it to reveal Scott
"Get in. You gotta see this, dude. I've been up all night reading websites, books, all this information." Stiles says and Rayne stands up and sits on Stiles' bed.

"How much Adderall have you had today?" Scott asks
"A lot. Doesn't matter okay, just listen."
"Is this about the body? Did they find out who did it?" Scott says sitting next to Rayne
"No, they're still questioning people even Derek Hale."
"Oh, the guy in the woods we saw the other day."
"Yeah! Yes. But that's not it, okay?
"What, then?"
"Remember the joke from the other day? Not a joke anymore. The wolf. The bite in the woods. I started doing all this reading. Do you even know why a wolf howls?" Stiles asks.

"Should I?"
"It's a signal, okay? When a wolf's alone it howls to signal it's location to the rest of the pack. So if you heard a wolf howling, that means others could have been nearby maybe even a whole pack of them."

"A whole pack of wolves?"
"No, werewolves." Rayne says standing beside Stiles and then Scott stands up
"Are you two seriously wasting my time with this? You both know I'm picking up Allison in an hour."

"We saw you on the field today, Scott. Okay, what you did wasn't just amazing, all right? It was impossible."
"Yeah, so I made a good shot."
"No you made an incredible shot. I mean, the way you moved, your speed, your reflexes. People can't just suddenly do that over night and there's the vision and the senses and don't even think I don't notice that you don't need your inhaler anymore."

"Okay! Dude, I can't think about this now. We'll talk tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? What? No! The full moon's tonight. Don't you get it?"
"What are you trying to do? I just made first line, I got a date with a girl who I can't believe wants to go out with me. Everything in my life is somehow perfect. Why are you trying to ruin it?" He says getting closer to Stiles.

"Woah buddy, we're trying to help." She says
"You're cursed, Scott. You know, and it's not just the moon that will cause you to physically change it also just so happens to be when your bloodlust will be at it's peak."

"Bloodlust?" He asks
"Yeah, your urge to kill."
"I'm already starting to feel am urge to kill, Stiles."
"You gotta hear this. 'The change can be caused by anger or anything that raises your pulse.' Alright? I haven't seen anyone raise your pulse like Allison does. You gotta cancel this date. I'm gonna call her right now." He says getting Scott's phone from his bag.

"What are you doing?"
"Cancelling your date."
"No, give it to me!" He says and Rayne tries to pull Scott back but he pins her against the wall and Rayne feels something jab her in her wrist and she winces in pain, thankfully their dad is at work and then he throws the chair and then he goes back to normal.

"I'm sorry. I gotta go get ready for the party." He stammers and leaves and Stiles checks on Rayne and her wrist and there's little puncture wounds
"Stiles." She says making him bring his attention to her
"What?" He asks and she points to his chair with a claw marks on it
"I'm going to go get a bandage. Can you help me?"
"Yeah, sure."

"Okay, I'm here." Rayne says as Lydia opens the door
"Finally. What happened to your arm?" She asks as they go upstairs to Lydia's room.

"I fell and the corner of my drawer caught it real deep." She lies
"So is your mystery girlfriend coming tonight?" Lydia asks and Rayne blushes
"She's not my girlfriend and no she doesn't like parties and neither do I but it's a requirement because I'm friends with you." She smiles.

"Right and you two started talking when?"
"Before the summer." She mumbles and Lydia hums and Rayne rolls her eyes laying on the bed
"I say ask her out and when do I get to meet her?"
"I'm going to ask her at the winter formal and it depends on her whether you meet her."
"Now, let's party." Lydia says as the door bell rings.

Everyone is at the party and Rayne walks away from the crowd of people to see Derek Hale
"Aren't you a little old for a high school party?" She asks and he turns his head
"You're hurt." He says looking at her arm.

"It's a full moon so I'm sure you know what that means." She says
"What?"
"Your a werewolf. You are stalking Scott and you did in the woods and don't pull the private property shit because we would of heard your footsteps."
"You're smart. That's good. It won't get you killed." He says
"Thanks for the confidence boost." She says sarcastically and then they turn their heads to see Scott and Derek disappears.

"How's Scott?" Stiles asks his sister
"Eh." She says
"What the hell does that mean?" He asks and then she points to Scott who holding his head
"You follow Scott, I'll follow Alli." She says and catches up to her.

"Hey, Alli." She greets and Allison turns around
"Hey, Ray, is Scott okay?" She asks
"Nerves and he's a boy so he's really dumb." She jokes
"Rayne." Someone says and they turn to see Derek
"Do you two need a ride?" He asks
"Yeah, Alli this is my old friend Derek."
"Oh, okay." She agrees and they get into his car and he turns the heat up and Alli takes off her jacket and they get to her house.

"Thanks for the ride. Bye Ray."
"Byeeeee." She says and quickly goes into the passenger seat
"So where's your house?"
"Just drive to the preserve because probably when Scott's done prancing in the woods my brother will pick him up."
"Okay." And he drives there and takes Allison's jacket
"Wait here." And she salutes him and he walks into the woods.

It's been 10 minutes and Rayne hears a growl and looks from the rear view mirror to see red eyes and it's about to lunge so she carefully gets out the car and walks runs to find Derek when she hears another growl and she turns to see a beast like creature chasing her.

She falls down a hill and then she feels something going near her and growling in her face and she screams in fear and then she opens her eyes and the creature isn't there and she stands up and walks with tears in her face and then hears people talking and goes near the sound.

"Stop!" She hears a man shout and she walks into the light shaking in fear and sees a man
"Please don't shoot." She says and he lowers his weapon and walks towards her
"Are you alright?" He asks and she shakes her head
"I was walking to my car when I saw these red eyes and then I heard growling and then I stupidly started running and I fell and it left and now I'm here." She laughs with tears still running down her face

"My name is Chris Argent."
"Argent? Like Allison Argent?"
"My daughter, do you know her?"
"Yeah, I'm Rayne."
"You're her first friend here." He says and she nods
"Since you know Allison I'll take you to mine and I'll make sure you're not to shaken up."
"Thanks." She sniffles and they walk back to his car and go back to the Argent's house.

"I'm back and I have a guest." Chris says and his wife walks to the door
"Are you alright? I'm Victoria." She asks looking at the scratches on her arms
"Kinda. And I'm Rayne."
"Could you possibly tell Allison her friend Rayne is here, I'm going to clean the wounds."
"Yeah, sure." Victoria goes upstairs and Chris leads her into the kitchen and gets the first aid box
"How'd you get that?" He asks looking at her bandaged wrist as he puts down the box.

"I was making a pin board so I can put notes and photos on it and I put pins on the pin board and I didn't realise they were sticking out at the back and I went on my bed and the pins went into my arm." She lies as he cleans a scratch with a wipe.

"I could check them if you want because that bandage is pretty dirty."
"Thank you." And he carefully takes it off and Allison walks in
"Hey, what happened?" She asks in concern
"I fell in the woods and your dad was helping the search party for the body and he found me." Rayne says
"Well, you can sleep in my room tonight and I'm going to get you a pair of pyjamas." Allison says.

"Why'd you lie?"
"I don't think she would be overly happy that her dad aimed a crossbow at her friend so..."
"Good point. Also sorry about that." He says and he finishes bandaging up her arms and putting a little plaster on her forehead and she thanks him and goes upstairs into Allison's room.

"Thanks for letting me stay here." She says
"No worries, I didn't want you to walk alone." Allison says and Rayne changes
"Alli, Scott is an idiot sometimes but he's like a puppy, he's sweet, lovable and much more I'm not saying that what he did was okay, I'm saying please think about giving him a second chance." She says going out the bathroom and laying on the bed.

"I'll think about it. So have anyone in your love life?" She asks and Rayne blushes
"Kinda, we've been talking before the summer my friend introduced me to her." She smiles
"Well, good luck with it." She says and they both close their eyes and go to sleep.

"Morning." Chris greets to Rayne and Allison as they walk down the stairs and Allison makes them a cup of coffee. Then Allison hands Rayne coffee and they sit at the table
"Thanks."

"Do you want something to eat?" She asks
"No thanks, I'm good, thank you for letting me stay the night." She says to the family
"It's not a problem." Victoria says and they sit down and drink their coffee.

"Thanks for driving me home, Allie." Rayne says as she gets out the car outside her house
"It's no worries, I'll see you at school." She says and she waves goodbye and drives off and Rayne walks into her house.

"I'm back." She calls and Stiles comes running down stairs and hugs her
"I was so worried, are you hurt?" He asks frantically
"I'm fine, I fell in the woods."
"Why were you in the woods?"
"I was in Derek's car and this thing starts to chase me and I fell."
"Then?"

"Allison's dad found me and he took me back to his and I stayed over in Allison's room. I'm fine."
"I'm so happy you're okay." He hugs his sister
"Is Scott?"
"He's pretty upset about Allison. But he's okay."
"That's good."
"I'm so happy you're okay." He hugs her again and Rayne laughs.
