- Yaoyorozu -

Last evening, despite being chaotic, ended up being the easiest. That night at least half of us leaned that three month olds don't totally sleep throughout the night yet.

They will sleep about five hours through the night, but they will need to be fed and have their diaper changed when they wake up.

Since about half the groups were a boy and girl, like Shoto and I, one person took the baby single handedly for the night. Some of the pairs with two guys were able to go get their partner fairly easily to get help.

I had little Hiroki last night because Shoto, while he did want to help, wasn't comfortable enough to take care of him alone yet.

Today in class we did a hero exercise. We had to figure out who in our pair was better suited for the situation to get a better idea of what the future might be like.

After class this afternoon, we all seemed exhausted. Many groups are gathered in the living trying to take care of their babies. They seemed a little harder than they were yesterday. Shoto was trying very hard to learn what the baby needed when it cried and what to give him so he'll be soothed.

Mina and Sero were arguing about where something was when Bakugo growled at them from the couch. His and Kirishima's baby was resting on his chest napping. They might be having a hard time getting her to sleep because it's so loud.

"If any of you dipshits wake her up I'll fucking strangle you."

"You and Kirishima decided it's a girl?" Tsuyu wondered.

"Yeah. Is there a fucking problem with that?" He retorted and Tsuyu shook her head. Kirishima watched the exchange with a small smile from the kitchen.

Kaminari and Kyoka are definitely getting better at taking care of their baby. Plus, they seem to be getting along better. They're sitting on the couch tickling the baby's stomach and talking to it.

Midoriya and Ochaco already worked well together, but now they're almost in sync. If the baby cries, they try to give it attention, food, check the diaper, and then try to give it a nap. The ultimate baby checklist. They're so efficient with it by now. It's impressive.

Tsuyu and Tokoyami were doing pretty well. They had an extra hand with dark shadow though so that helped. Right now they're sitting on the floor by the window. Tokoyami was holding the baby while he and Tsuyu pointed out things outside to the baby.

Ojiro and Toru were struggling here and there but they we definitely enjoying themselves. Toru loved dressing the baby up in cute outfits. Ojiro always smiled and let her though. I think he likes her too much to stop her from going overboard though.

Sero and Ashido were leaning against a couch passed out with their baby sleeping in the basket too. They're struggling some trying to get everything the baby needs done and do their homework at a good time so the three of them can all sleep.

Kirishima went from the kitchen to lean over the back of the couch and talk Bakugo. Their baby was still napping on Bakugo and Kirishima had the bottle ready. I was surprised how well Bakugo was taking care of the baby despite not wanting it in the first place. Maybe Kirishima had something to do with it?

Koda and Shoji were doing alright. They were both kinda quiet so the baby never had a problem sleeping, but they would occasionally struggle giving it attention. Right now though they're feeding it so they can give it another bottle right before bedtime. Very smart.

Unfortunately for Sato, Aoyama bedazzled and added sparkles to every outfit that they had. Fortunately for Sato, Aoyama hasn't bedazzled the baby yet.

Oddly enough, Iida and Mineta are struggling the most. Iida is loud sometimes and sorta stiff so it disturbs the baby. Mineta on the other hand completely freaks out every time it cries. Iida knows what to do, but he's working more on his demeanor and actions so he doesn't upset the baby. Mineta is also trying not to freak out as much so he doesn't upset the baby either. They're definitely improving slowly but surely.

Maybe this project isn't such a bad thing after all. Everyone seems to be improving at teamwork and taking care of their babies.

"Momo, why are you so good with children?" Shoto asked me.

"Oh, well all of my cousins are older than I am so they have a few kids." I explained, "I always wanted a little sibling so I really liked helping them with their children. Eventually I got really good at it."

"Makes sense..."

"Want to hold the baby?"

"Uh... I guess so." He said nervously glancing at the baby. I carefully placed it in his arms. The baby started to fuss a little bit. Shoto's eyes widened and he started to whisper to little Hiroki. The baby stopped fussing and started to coo happily. Shoto sighed in relief and looked at me.

"Why are you staring at me?"

"I'm just watching! For someone who has never taken care of a baby, you're doing great!"

"You think so?" He asked skeptically.

"Yeah! I do! If you don't mind me asking, why don't you want kids?"

"My childhood."

"What about it?"

"As I didn't have a great dad. Growing up I wasn't exactly sure what a good dad should be so I figured that I shouldn't be one." He explained to me, "I don't want a kid to have a bad dad because I don't know how to be a dad."

"Oh, well I guess that makes sense..." I admitted

I had never thought about that. I knew Shoto's childhood certainly wasn't the best by any means, but I never thought that it would be the reason he didn't want kids.

"Hey Momo" Shoto said. I looked over at him looking at the baby.

"Yes Shoto?"

"I've been thinking... and I think I would want a couple kids as long as they were with you."

"Really?" I gasped surprised at his decision.

"Yes. I know you'll be a great mom and that will help me be a decent dad."

"I think you'll be a great dad one day." I told him leaning my head against his. I felt him smile and everything was perfect in that moment.
