Chapter 18
-Lucy's P.O.V-
I held my hand on the horn in frustration. That's twice now someone almost went into me. Today is not my day. I had once again been up all night tending to my grandmother. I hated the fact that the doctors weren't giving her any help, even though I begged them. I hated watching her suffer. My mom promised she'd skip work and stay with her if I went to school. I finally pulled up, not even parking straight and stepped out of my car. I tried to walk away and groaned, noticing my blue knitted jumper dress caught in the car door. I took a deep breath, opened the car door and gently removed the fabric and shut the car door.
Unbelievable. I stood glancing back and forth between my friends and the cobras, mainly Georgia and Ella, arguing once again over god knows what...in front of MY locker. I'm not in the mood for their crap. I rolled up the sleeves of my dress and marched over, forcefully pushing Ella and Georgia out of my way and put in my locker combination. I carelessly threw my books in and slammed it shut, causing all of them to jump in their spot.
"Hi Lucy" Aaron hesitantly spoke. I turned to look at him and if looks could kill..Aaron would be six foot under.
"Go away" I spat.
"Lucy will you please tell her that..." Ella began.
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" I shot daggers at both of them. "I don't care about your stupid little argument. I have more important shit going on! Here's an idea, If you can't get along or don't like each other...stay away from each other. It's not hard!" I screamed the last bit. No one said a word, instead they starred with their jaws hanging open. I closed my eyes and let out a breath. "I have English" I walked away from them, I could hear footsteps running after me. No doubt that's Lauren.
-Bobby's P.O.V-
I wanted to chase her and ask her what was wrong. But I couldn't. I had never seen Lucy act like that. Johnny began to snicker, I looked at him and shook my head no, he instantly stopped. Ella seem to have read my mind when she hit Aaron on the arm when he started to giggle.
"It's not funny " she said. Ella took one last look at Georgia before wandering off.
"I can't believe you were friends with them babe" Dutch spoke, wrapping an arm around Georgia's shoulder. Leading her away to our first lesson. I switch my folder to my left hand following behind everyone else.
"Bobby" I saw Johnny beckon me over away from the group.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Remember when you can to me that day on the beach?" I nodded waiting for him to continue. "You still feel the same?" I ran a hand through my hair and looked around, making sure no one heard.
"No I..."
"Don't lie to me! I've seen the way you look at her" I let out a frustrated sigh.
"It'll pass man" I reassured him. The problem is, I've been telling myself that for the past month and my feelings haven't budged. I have so many mixed emotions, frustration and guilt being the main ones.
"It better because that's not fair on Lisa!" Johnny said. No! What's not fair is me constantly being pushed away by my girlfriend! Johnny turned to walk away but I called him back.
"Speaking of Lisa, has Ali mentioned anything?"
"Like what?"
"Anything?" Johnny thought for a moment.
"Not that I recall"
"Oh ok, never mind. Let's get to class"
-Lucy's P.O.V-
I had already been scolded by my history teacher for falling asleep mid lesson, but I couldn't help it. Everyone sat in the cafeteria, I on the other hand began roaming the school halls, hoping to avoid everyone. I just wanted to be by myself. I held my folder close to my chest as I walked.
I passed the by the lockers, stopping at mine to grab my books for math. As I opened my locker, a piece of paper fell at my feet. I bent down to pick it up. Before I had a chance to read it, I heard an irritating voice.
"Hi there Lucy" I closed my eyes and silently cussed.
"What do you want Tommy?" I spun round, coming face to face with the hyperactive Cobra. I wore an irritable expression, which he seemed to notice very well.
"Nothing. Just passing by" He smirked, crossing his arms over his chest. "Why the long face?"
"None of your business" I muttered.
"Now now, be nice I haven't done anything to you"
"Tommy, what are you doing?" Bobby and Jimmy approached the two of us.
"We've been looking for you everywhere. Susan needs you. Says it's an emergency" Jimmy told him, causing him to instantly rush off.
"Let's go" Bobby said to Jimmy. Before he let, he looked down at the note I held in my hand then back up at me. After they left, I finally read the note.
'Meet me at Gold N' Stuff after school'
