Dainty Lady
Oh how her fingers spun the needle
Gently humming rhymes unknown
Her delicate face smiling heartily,
Secretly outwitting the hidden crone.
Her eyes lined by dark coal
As she looked up with a laugh,
The men gasped at her beauty,
How beautiful is Lady Meclaff!
Twas a cool night on a long day,
That a gentleman entered her palace
Lady Meclaff was smiling with a needle in her hand,
Stuck in a perfect daze.
Her hair was so beautiful,
Scrolled up with curls hanging loose
The man sat beside her,
The lady with her eyes askew
Looked at the man in the eye,
How had he not noticed this before!
He jumped back in serious fright,
The crone was hiding in her, her eyes, hardly sore
She opened her mouth, her pink lips,
Parting with determined indignation
The perfect lady, oh she was
Even after she killed him with a needle
