Before 10 Years...

'Diyaaa...Today your New college's first day!First day ve late ah pogakoodadhu kanna..Wake up..!',Kavya shouted from the kitchen and that's when Diya realised now they've moved to Chennai.She opened her eyes lazily and looked at her newly shifted house.Her luggages were still in the places untouched,she sighed and got up from her bed stretching her arms.

Being an introvert,a fear aroused her mind.New place,New college,she should make new friends there but that's what exactly hard for Diya.She was an extrovert until her teenage,as days passed after that she turned into a complete introvert.Things went worse after her parents left them,she doesn't see any of them other than her sister,niece and few of her friends.

Thinking about everything she sighed and went down after brushing her teeth for a cup of coffee.
She saw her sister Kavya making coffee.
'Akka...',Diya hugged her sister before settling herself on the dining chair.

Diya is basically a hug person(Like me🏃🏻‍♀️)She loves to hug people she loves.Her day never start before hugging her sister and there comes her six years old niece Nila.
'Diya maa...',she cooed and jumped in her arms.

'Nila papa..'Diya kissed her cheeks and Nila settled on her lap.
'Nila..Diya ma ku kaal valikum.Inga vandhu ukkaru..',Kavya said sitting opposite to her.
'En pulla en kaal la ukaradhu epdi valikum enaku?',Diya asked kissing Nila's temple.
'Aama ma,valikadhu',Nila said and kissed Diya's cheek.

'Hmm..Nalla amma nalla pulla..',Kavya chuckled and sipping her coffee.
Diya finished her coffee while Kavya left to the kitchen to cook.

Diya made Nila ready and she herself got ready for the college.
They all settled for breakfast while Diya ate feeding inbetween Nila.But Diya was having her own breakfast huffing and puffing.

'Yen di moonjiya apdi vechuruka?',Kavya asked.
'Poo ka..Pudhu college,Ellame pudhusa irukum..Nenachale oru maari bayam ah iruku',Diya sighed.
'Yen da?Jolly ah iru.You are going to new college,Make new friends, Explore the place..',Kavya said and Diya sighed heavily.

'Aama Diya ma,Naan lam jolly ah irukeneyy..Neraya pudhu friends kedaipaangale..Jolly ah irunga..',Nila said and Diya gave her a'Neelam advice panralavuku naan aayiten paathiya' look.
'Ava solradhum correct dhana..',Kavya said.

'Poo ka..Manushangala paathale kaduppa iruku..(Introverts can feel it 😌)',Diya laid down her head on the table making Kavya laugh.
'Diya, don't be like this.Try to mingle with people..Apodhan unakum jolly ah irukum..Adhu mattum illama Raghav will be also there.Dont forget to meet him, I've informed him already..',Kavya said and Diya nodded.

'Seri,Bus la poiduviya?',Kavya asked worried.
Because Diya is a caged bird whom she already forgot that she knew to fly.Their parents were very protective towards them while Kavya broke her shell after she got married but Diya being their parents pet and silent,she initially wanted to break the shell but she stopped trying when she realised there is no use of doing it.

Just like many of the parents,they weren't aware of Diya's mental state and behaviour.The immense love they had on their daughters made them blind and over protective on them.

Until their parents been alive,they always accompanied her even just for a small distance and she had no freedom,all her fears started there..She herself automatically started believing that she needs someone to accompany her always for everything.It created an huge impact on her mentality.

Kavya who was been an ambivert,but still she was also been in the circle which their parents drawn,But When Kavya got married to Madhavan,being a good husband he helped her to get out of the shell which their parents created,After her husband left along with them,Kavya became more bold to take care enough of her sister and baby.

But Kavya is worried of Diya's behaviour.She wanted her to help Diya to get out of her circle but Diya was never ready to.So she was the one who wanted transfer to a far place from their native just to make Diya came out of her shell.Kavya beleived that new place and people can make her change.

'Adhellam poiduven ka...Naanlam rowdy!',Diya said.
'Ingellam nalla pesu,Veliya pesa sonna pesaadha..',Kavya said making Diya pout.
'Seri..Nee actually jolly ah dhana irukanum..Un Dancer crush vera irukaaru nee join panna pora college la..',Kavya said teasingly while Diya blushed.

Yeah,Diya was so excited but still she have no guts to meet or talk to him.And she is also not assured that he'll be there,so she herself said no to expectations and decided to accept what fate gives.

'Akkaa..Avaru andha college dhananu lam enaku confirm ahlam theriyaadhu..',Diya said hiding her shy.
'Ohh..oru vela irundha..',Kavya raised her eyebrows and Diya smiled wider.

'Irundhaa..paathukalam..Varen',Diya left kissing both Kavya and Nila's cheek.
Kavya smiled and sighed in relief believing that she'll change.

Diya had gone in bus for many time with her parents,but this is the first time she was going alone and that too in an unknown place.Gathering all her courage,following Kavya's instructions,she got the bus and left to her college.

When she got down and looked at the college,she felt proud.She herself for the very first time in her 20 years of life,has travelled alone in bus and reached the college by herself.But soon fear aroused seeing number of people around her.

'Ayoo.. Enaku Anthropophobia(fear of people)irukunu nenaikire..Idhula poi andha Raghav anna va vera paakanumaam..Naan avara paathe 4 or 5 years aachu..',Diya sighed entering her college.

She was so hesitant to even ask where is MBA-2 nd year class room.Somehow she found the class by herself and stood outside for a while.She scanned her eyes around the classroom but couldn't find Raghav.As like always she was never ready to ask someone where is Raghav,she stood on her toes and again searched him.

'Yaaru venum?',a base voice came from her behind which made lose her balance and she fell on the person's chest.She felt a current pass through her body when her back touched the person's front.Her heartbeat reached its peak and she gulped.Tears brimmed her eyes while she quickly blinked and hid it.

Soon she composed her overhelming emotions and pulled back.
'I asked what or whom do you want?..',he asked.
'Illa..Raghav anna..',she asked slowly looking away and he nodded.
'Dei Raghav..Unna thedi oru ponnu vandhuruku paaru..',he said and moved while her eyes fixed on him.

'Varen da Aadhi..',Raghav responded to him,who was standing and talking with a boy.
Raghav moved to Diya who was still looking at Aadhi who was not even turning at her direction.

'Thangam.. Vandhutiya!Akka sonnanga you'll be here nu',Raghav smiled.
'Haann anna..1 week aachu naanga shift aagi.. Iniku dhan classes enaku start aagudhu..',Diya said when all her thoughts where still on Aadhi.

'Okay da,Naan inga dha irupen.Call me if you need anything',Raghav said and Diya smiled.
'Seri da..Class ku time aachu..Nee break la canteen va namma paaklam bye..',Raghav said.

After bidding bye to Raghav she left from there thinking about her Dancer Crush Aadhi.She was so excited and emotional at the same time seeing him.Still she can't beleive that she met him and almost she fell on him.Hiding her blush and tears she rushed to her classroom.

She settled herself on the corner bench of the classroom silently.Her overwhelming emotions started pouring as tears,she even doesn't know why she can't stop crying.After composing herself she saw everyone was happily talking with their friends and sighed.She had only few friends and she started missing them.

'Hello,yen nga thaniya ukandhurukeenga?',a lean and height figure asked her.
'Apdilam illaye..',she smiled softly.
'Okayy..Im Vicky!Unga peru?',Vicky asked stretching his hand for a handshake.
'Diya',she shook her hand with his with a smile.

'Feel free nga..Ellaru jolly ah dhan pesuvaanga..',Vicky said.
'Illa nga.. Enaku konjam time edukum',Diya said.
'Okay..Friends?', Vicky asked and she replied,'Friends!'.

Diya felt comfortable with Vicky.Seeing all the unknown faces she felt a fear but when Vicky approached her,she felt relieved.She thought of asking him to sit with her but as always her introvert side stopped herself from asking.

'I think you are still feeling uncomfortable,Naa venumna unga kooda ukkarava?', Vicky asked.
'Ayoo..its okay!Neenga unga friends oda ukaarunga.. Won't they question you?',Diya asked.

'This whole class is my friend,so don't worry..', Vicky sat beside her.
'Actually thanks..Naane ungala kekalamnu nenache..',Diya said.
'Theriyudhu..Neenga konjam silent type nu nenaikire..Feel free!Neenga comfortable ah irunga',Vicky said and she smiled.

'Aprom,Please indha vaanga poonga lam vendaam..Call me Vicky',Vicky said.
'Okay Vicky',she replied and her classes started.

She was doing her BBA and now she joined the college for her final year.She was beyond excited and emotional at the same time.Being a not expressive person,she doesn't know how to show her emotions.

How it couldn't be?She met her one and only crush after a long wait.If she could,she would have hugged him and cried.Thinking about how he balanced her with his arms,she caressed his touch and blushed like an idiot.

She was not in a mood to listen the class,her mind was not with her, it was waiting for the break.Her stupid mind was expecting Aadhi come to the canteen with Raghav.

Raghav's grandparents was their neighbour and he'll spend all his holidays there and that's how Diya's family knows Raghav.Raghav was like a brother to both the sisters, younger to Kavya and elder to Diya.Both Diya and Raghav were very close, they'll play together,talk and share many.When Raghav joined the college he stopped coming there and they're meeting after so many years.But still they both having the same bond, but Diya's introvert behaviour has some starting trouble, she'll take time to get along.

Her trance broke when Vicky patted her shoulder.
'Huh?Class mudinjudha?',Diya asked and Vicky laughed.
'Adhu mudinjudhu..Neenga dhan edho world ku poiteenga..',Vicky said and Diya sighed in embarassment.

'Vicky..Enaku oru help..',Diya said.
'Panniruvom..',Vicky said.
'Enkooda konjam canteen varaikum vaayen..',Diya said.
'Ohh..polaame', Vicky said.

'Aama canteen la yaara paaka poreenga?',Vicky asked.
'Adhu enaku oru therinja anna..',Diya replied and he nodded.They reached the canteen discussing some random things.

Every introvert people need a extrovert friend.Just like Diya got Vicky,they just met before few hours and Diya was bit comfortable with Vicky which was enough to pass the year.

'Yenga Diya?Unga brother innu kaanom?',Vicky asked.
'Therilaye..',she said as she was bit upset.She thought,she can meet Aadhi but to her disappointment none of them arrived.
'Polaam..',Diya said and they both moved from there.

While crossing the staffroom they both saw Raghav standing along with few guys.
'Hey avaru dhan andha anna..',Diya said and moved to them.
'Enna na inga nikkireenga?',Diya asked searching Aadhi.
'Yaaru papa nee?',a man with curly hair asked.

'Dei en thangachi dhan da..Enga native la neighbour, inga transfer vaangitu vandhurukaanga..Aama nee enna indha thakkali chedi oda sutheetu iruka?',Raghav asked after giving her intro.
'Ohh ivana theriyum ah?',Diya asked.

'Yen theriyaama?En dept junior dhan!BBA va nee?',Raghav asked.
'Ama na',she replied.
'Apo thangachi um namma junior dha inimel', another guy said.

'Paaru solla marandhuten,Idhu Pugazh adhu Shravan..', Raghav introduced them.
'Hello anna..Diya',she introduced herself.

'Enna da thakkali chedi,amaidhiya iruka?',Pugazh asked.
'Illa ne,epdi oru connection paarungalen,Namma ellarkume ellathayum therinjuruku aana namaku oruthar oruthar theriyumnu orutha oruthar ke therila..',Vicky said making everyone roll their eyes.

'Deii.. Yen da Kamal Sir oda tweet maadhiri, puriyadha maariye pesura..',Raghav sighed and Diya chuckled.(No offence Makkale😌)
'Unta ketadhu thappu dha da..',Pugazh said.

'Adhu seri..enna vazhakam pola class bunk ah?', Vicky asked.
'Aama da.. yeppavum maata maatom iniku maatikitom..',Pugazh rolled his eyes.

'Ellam unnala dhan da..Andha mam paatuku poirupaanga..thevai illama avanga kitta poi vazhakkam pola un flirting ah pota..apdiye kadalai potutu nadandhu poite irundhu paatha adhu staffroom uh, correct ah HOD ta maatunom..Class time la enna da sutheetu irukeenga nu ketaaru maatikitom..',Raghav said glaring at Pugazh while he gave his usual thiruttu muzhi.

'Idho paarunga Aadhi,Neenga oru nalla dancer and neraya competitions la college perula win pannirukeenga apdi ngradhukaga dhan indha management innum unga mela endha action um edukaama iruku..If you repeated the same mistake next time,then surely you all get punished',their HOD said who was returning with Aadhi and handed him their ID cards.

'Yen da ipdi panreenga?',Aadhi sighed and hit them with their id cards without knowing the girl's mindset standing infront of him.
Her heart started beating faster when he stood beside her.His elbow touched her's which made her blush and fluster.

'Dei...seri da thangachi munnadi maanatha vaangadha..',Shravan said.
'Thangachi ya..?',Aadhi turned to her and his eyes met her.

'Diya da,En neighbour!',Raghav said.
'Ohh helloo',Aadhi said with his trademark smile showing his dimple.

'Ohh God!Ohh God!He is saying Hello to me?Ayoo naan yaarukitta solluven? Yepdi solluven..Kadavule kadavule..Idhu kanava illa nejama....Oru vela naan sethu sorgathuku vandhutenoo?Illaye sorgathula epdi ivaru irupaaru?Aiyoo thala kaal purilaye enaku.. Apdiye kudhichu kathalam pola irukey...',a hell of thoughts arousing her mind but soon she hid everything with a smile and greeted him back.

'Hello!',she smiled.
'Seri da class ku kelambalam..Andha sooniya bommai class dhan ipo..Venumne veliya nikka veppaa..',Aadhi said.
'Dei..yen da avalukellam bayapadra?',Raghav asked.

'Bayama enaka?Hey hey..Avala paathu onnum enaku bayam illa..',Aadhi said lifting his collars and ruffling his hair.
Diya stood admiring his well trimmed beard,soft hair,his muscular body,his perfect face..

'Seri okay!Thangam naanga kelamburom..Neengalu. class ku ponga..Dei thakkali chedi paathukoda..',Raghav said.
'Ahnn..paathukurom paathukurom', Vicky replied.
The group waved bye to them while Diya's eyes fixed on Aadhi which went unnoticed by everyone.

She felt the same current pass when Aadhi waved at her.She slowly waved at him hiding her blush.

She stood still looking at his disappearing figure smiling.
'Kelambalama Diya?',Vicky asked and she nodded still her eyes on his way!
