Evelyn's POV

Today is the day of  my wedding and once again I am surrounded by the same emotions i felt on the first wedding. Today there is no Mom to rush me to wedding, there are professionals who have spent 6 hours preparing me for this. I thought giving him rude answers, getting angry, doing hunger strikes or attempt to kill myself will deviate him from this. But no he had put up with all my tantrums and had declared if I try to do anything he would have my Mom breathe last in hospital. My Mom is in hospital after my attempt to kill myself and he said he just faked her being mugged but he promised if I really did anything else he will make sure to have her dead.

I cried last night and barely slept but these professional have made it seem like I have brightest of the eyes and I look like a bride who is willing for this wedding, a sophisticated model like look on my face.

I was in my thoughts when he came, I was surprised that he came here against traditions but again who can stop him. He took my hand forcefully in his firm grip and escorted me to the car. I was surprised when there was no driver but he was driving. I didn't ask him why but as I can see the church was supposed to be 30 minutes away and it has been 1 hour and still he's driving.

"Where... Where are you taking me" i asked.

He either ignored me or didn't hear. I again asked only for him to glare at me in the rear mirror and then he said "Lynn, don't worry you would love to meet the person"

and then he stopped near a building in the isolated area. I could see only this building was the only one in the far area. We got out and he escorted me to the main door and his black commandos bowed to him. He kept walking and we reached a hall and then he turned a painting and then the wall moved only for a narrow corridor and we walked and after countless left and right turns we reached a place which looked like an ICU unit and my heartbeat increased.

"Did he brought my mother here?" I jogged to keep up with his pace and then we reached the glass from where I saw a man laying the bed. He then gestured me to go inside and  he walked and pulled a stool next to him.

He took his hands and gestured me to come closer and as I did what he asked. He said "Look I brought her here. I know you would not like the circumstances under which I brought her here and you would kick my ass for that but you would understand that I love her right".

I was confused when he caught my hand and smiled "Look Dom I came here to ask your blessings for marrying your daughter Evelyn. I wish you were the once giving her away to me".

I jerked my hand and gave him a questioning look "oh sorry, I forgot you don't know. Evelyn he is Dominick your Father. He is in comma since you were 10 years. I know this is shocking but believe me, he is your father"

"How can I believe you" I whispered.

He opened the drawer next to the patient bed and gave me file and I was shocked to see that I was indeed his daughter. I looked at him for more explanation.

"I will explain everything once we are married Lyn dear. Let's go we have a wedding to do" He smiled and dragged me out of the door and soon we were in the car. It was too much for me to grasp and the thoughts that why he would take me to my father now and as if he has read my thoughts he said "I will tell you everything after the wedding".

"You cannot expect me to be quite till then. Because I want my answers now" I yelled and tears dripped from my eyes.

"Lyn love please don't cry. Believe me it's for your own good" he said and soon we were in the church and one of his men who was old enough to be my Dad escorted me to the altar.

Soon the ceremony started and the priest asked "Do you Evelyn Rosemary Harris take ..." 

As soon as he was about to tell me the name of this mysterious stranger gunshots were heard and  I saw my stepfather or Daniel standing in the middle of the crowd and said "I will not let this bastard get married to love of my life"

I was shocked how he entered the wedding place when it was heavily guarded. Then he strode towards me and said "Pearl come here and we can leave this disgusting place".

I was confused as to what I should do because this person is forcefully marrying me and Daniel is also forcing his love on me. Seeing my hesitation he said "Did you fall for this bastard like you mother?"

I shook my head but seemed like he was enraged and his eyes became dark and he laughed a sinister laugh "oh so you want to marry him and leave me just like that witch who left me in dark pits. I will not let that happen to me again. I will make sure either you are mine or nobody's" saying that he jerked me from stage and pointed gun at my head.

"Daniel let her go, my men are all around your men" Mask man said.

"Mr. Davis if you think you can stop me then you are wrong" Daniel said.

I tried getting him release me when he whispered "Did you like it when he touched you that you are even ready to die for him huh? Tell me did he touch you ?" 

I shook my head and he whispered "Are you virgin ?"

I nodded my head and seems like it relieved him  but it distracted him too and Mr. Davis took the opportunity to shoot him in the right hand which held the gun and he cried in pain and I pushed him to release myself. I ran towards Mr. Davis when I was grabbed from my waist and turned around and I heard a gunshot and then we both were on the floor.

Soon Mr. Davis asked his men to capture Daniel and take him to his warehouse. Mr. Davis tried getting up and I helped him get up but he fell on me. I tried holding him when one of his men Archer came running and took him from me. We were taken to his home where there were facilities like hospital and he was taken in. 

Doctor was about to give him anesthesia which he declined and bullet was removed and seeing the process made tears rolling out of my eyes. He didn't let my hand go and once it was dressed. Doctor gave him medicine. He was unconscious and doctor gestured me to go out.

"Mam you can rest now he will get up in the morning" Doctor said.

I nodded and went to my room and removed all my wedding clothes and took a long shower and then got into the comfortable clothes. A maid brought the soup and I had it and after sometime I tried sleeping and I dozed off. But soon a scream erupted from my mouth as the events that took place was again and again swirling in my brain like a recorder.

I don't know for whatever reason I found myself walking towards the room where Mr. Davis was kept. I opened the door and entered to find him knocked out. I went near him and found it weird that he was changed to comfortable clothes but his mask was still there. I found it weird and wanted to leave but my curiosity got best of me and lifted my  hand to remove it. 

"Mam what are you doing here"  a voice asked and I turned to see a nurse was there to take care of him 

"I.. I was just worried so I came to check on him" I answered looking down.

"Good to know you care even if he forced you to be with him"she said.

I looked shocked but she said "Everyone knows how much he loves you but you don't"

I nodded and left from there.

I ran to my room but all the while the curiosity to see his face was running in my mind. I don't know when I slept.
