Scavenger hunt for memories

List of things you must find.
One small pebble
A yellow flower
Something red
Something that reminds you of someone else
The last object can be anything you can or want to find.

Frisk gripped the list of things they needed for the scavenger hunt. Monster Kid, Chara, Papyrus, Asriel, Sans, Undyne, and Fuku are all lined up, waiting for Toriel to start the contest. Toriel waved a flag and yelled, "GO!" The humans and monsters ran while the ones who weren't participating cheered them on. Monster Kid found a pebble immediately because he tripped over it. Almost a week ago, Alphys had made the armless monster some lightweight arms so he could participate in more things that he couldn't normally.

Chara ran off into a thick tree line to find a few of the items. A little while ago, when Chara was revived, Alphys and Gaster found a way to make an artificial soul of magic so Asriel could live again. Flowey took the soul and it worked. Asriel was back so Chara was a lot happier.

While Chara was hidden in the thick greenness, Sans found a small red pebble so he crossed both the something red and a small pebble off of his list. Sans was participating in the scavenger hunt because he wanted to keep a close eye on Papyrus. An anti monster gang tried to threaten Papyrus at knife point. Sans was really jumpy about it, but Papyrus reasoned with the humans and wasn't hurt thankfully. Sans couldn't help but think what would off happened if they wouldn't of listened to Papyrus' reasoning. The short skeleton shook the thought off and started looking for a patch of yellow flowers.

Papyrus and Frisk decided to work together and split the reward. Frisk isn't the kind of independent person. They always have someone by their side, and if not, they find someone. Papyrus was the kind of person to help someone as much as they can, even if they can't do much. While looking for a small pebble, the duo found a letter to an admirer that was left behind. Frisk wanted to leave it in case the person who it was meant for ever came back for it, but Papyrus wanted to finish first so he convinced the human to use it for the last item.

Undyne was very hesitant to join the scavenger hunt but Alphys insisted. Two months earlier, the fish and dino got engaged. They wanted to hold off the wedding because of all of the riots that was happening because the monsters were released from the Underground. The two girls cared very much for each other and love one another. The prize was what got Undyne to get in the scavenger hunt. Undyne looked closely at the ground and found a cricket. She took a picture of it so she wouldn't be disturbing the nature and continued looking for things that were on her list.

When Grillby found out about the scavenger hunt that his friends were going to have, he knew that Fuku was totally going to join. Fuku was going to school with Frisk, Monster Kid, Chara, Asriel, and Papyrus. The small fire monster shouldn't be mistaken for her size. She's a very enthusiastic preteen that acts like a young adult when it comes to certain times. If she has her heart set in something, she will get it done, no matter the costs. (Unless Grillby says no or if it costs a lot of money.) The green fire being had already found four of the things on the list, but needs one more. Something that reminds her of someone.

Asriel dashed out of a random bush with everything he needed. It's been a month since he hasn't been a flower, but still gets nightmares about what he did when he was. He's tried telling anyone about it but they either didn't help or said it wasn't going to happen. The small goat monster was worried that one day, his body was going to regret the fake soul and he would be an emotionless flower again but Alphys and Gaster have assured him that it will never happen. Asriel dashed up to where the other monsters were to find that all the other monsters that were in the scavenger hunt weren't up there.

Frisk and Papyrus finished second out of breath. Even though Frisk was always very competitive, they were happy that Asriel finished first. They smiled and gave their items to Asgore so he could check them.

Undyne and Chara busted through a few small bushes racing to see should could get there first. According to Toriel, Chara got to the older monsters a split second before Undyne. The red headed fish monster made sure to show them the picture of the cricket when Grillby was checking if she got everything.

Sans, Fuku, and Monster Kid ended up getting there last because they didn't know what to get for something that reminded them of someone else. Monster Kid tried to adjust his arms because the fabric of his shirt was making it slip a little. Frisk helped him with the fake arms and helped anyone else that needed help.

It came time to share why the participants got the items that reminded them of others and why they got the random items. Asriel went first. He pulled out a heart shaped stone because it reminded him of the monster and human souls. For the random item, he got some quickly melting snow.

Monster Kid got a twig because it reminded him of Frisk because that was their weapon of choice. For the random item, a berry was his choice.

Undyne's item that reminded her some Alphys was the cricket. Alphys wanted to know why a cricket was a reminder of her. Undyne explained that a cricket has a really big part. If it doesn't chirp or provide a food source, the entire system could go down. The random item of Undyne's was a large rock.

Sans had a book for both items because it reminds him of Gaster because the goopy monster loved to read and Sans is so lazy that he didn't want to find another item.

Fuku didn't really feel comfortable sharing what she got so she just passed.

Chara use the yellow flower as their item because of how they died. It was that last time they got to see Asriel before nearly forgetting everything. The random item was an army Swiss knife they found.

An item that reminded Frisk and Papyrus of someone was a few scraps of clothing that were green, yellow, blue, red, and purple. The piece of paper that they found was the random item.

The monsters who were supposed to judge couldn't decide who won. All of the items were great. The original prize was were you could go on a trip with whoever you wanted for five days at the max to wherever you wanted. Toriel didn't want to pick favorites so she declared that everyone won. After a bit of discussion, everyone was happy on where they were going.

Are you guys proud? 1190 words. Sorry if this seems like a cringe fest to you. It's almost four in the morning when I finished this and I've been falling asleep. Did any of you guys notice that I was writing in third person? Do you guys like my third person point of view? That's all. See ya!
