(Swapfell Sans trying to help reader-chan after you had become emotionally numb and ceased to feel anything for anyone this is told from Sans' pov)

I know the cryptic way she hides it. I see how she fakes her affection

She keeps pretending that she wasn't hurt. She pretends that she still loves HIM.

I try to understand everything, but I guess I'm just a hopeful fool

I don't get why even though she forces a smile on her face, her eyes are lifeless and dead.

To her I'm nothing, we weren't anything. Just a basic test, an experiment

Everything I built up with her is gone. Our friendship turned to dust.

I know it's pointless. I know its worthless, but I won't give up.

I won't surrender

I followed her and my 'brother' to Muffet's. Once again that stupid fucking piece of shit bastard was flirting with other women.

Her eyes flickered with pain as she cringed. A single tear slipped down her cheek.

In a last attempt to reach her, he stood in front of her. 

"I won't let him steal you from me. I'll save you and then you will love me. I won't let you do this to yourself. I'll save you, we're perfect together"

She covered her mouth tears dripping down her face. She ran out not looking at either of us.

Papyrus screamed at me pissed off at my confession. I don't know where she went but I hope she considers how I feel about her.

Later that night Papyrus walked down from the attic door frustrated at how she locked herself in there.

"I don't get why she's not listening. I am fighting an abandoned war. I tried to show her the way I feel, but I guess I'm just a hopeless fool" he growled looking in my direction.

Papyrus clenched his fists and released his second wave of furious insults and blaming me for her actions.

"To her I'm nothing. We weren't anything. Just a basic test, an experiment. I know it's pointless. I know it's worthless, but I won't give up. I won't surrender!" He shouted in protest of my love for her.

I stood my ground and yelled back at him with everything I had.

"I won't let you steal her from me. I'll save her then she will be free. I won't let her suffer like this. I'm putting an end to your tyranny!"

She walked down the stairs, a luggage bag in hand. Her tattered clothes loosely clung to her body as she prepared to leave.

I looked at her holding out my hand. A small smile spread across my cheekbones. I was hoping that I could take her away with me. I didn't know where I was gonna go, but I wasn't staying here.

"You will see it will finally be just you and me till the end of the world. I want you. I deeply need you. I won't forget you. You're my sanctuary"

With a faint smile she placed her small dainty hand within my gloved one. She spoke in a voice as smooth as silk.

"I won't let him keep me from you, I love you and I always have. With you near, I won't suffer any more. Now let us leave to start a new life together"

I caressed her cheek as I leaned in and kissed her. Love and passion fueled the romantic gesture as I held onto her small frame tightly yet gently.

Papyrus stormed out in a full blown rage when my sweet dear (y/m) chose me over him.

Before we walked outside, I grabbed an old jacket of mine from the closet and helped her get it on. It was slightly large on her, but she didn't mind. In one of the pockets, there was a spare pair of gloves. She slipped them on as I untied the scarf from around my neck and tied it around hers.

"Sans, no, this is your scarf. I can't just-"

"Sweetheart, it's freezing out there and I'll be damned if you're gonna get sick"

"Fine, you win. So, any clue as to where we go from here?"

"I have a small cottage in waterfall that I use when Pap brought-you know- over, so we can stay there"

"Okay, sounds nice"

"Yeah it is. Oh and tomorrow I'm taking you shopping for new clothes"

"What, why?!"

"Everything you own either smells of cigarette smoke or has rips, tears, and holes in them. You deserve to wear better clothing than that"

"Alright, but I get a say in what I wear though"

"Of course love, let's be off shall we"

"Indeed we shall"
